I love that Jena was NOT what I expected. When I thought about boot camp, I was thinking militant drills, done my way or no way. This could not be further from the truth. Jena's classes were all about YOUR personal best, and getting YOU to the next level, whatever that was. Class was different each day, and that was cool. If there was one day that was lower body intense, we'd do upper body the next. We took advantage of a lot of cool spots around Heather Farms Park. Now, let's get real. 5:30 am class comes around REALLY quickly. I was getting up at 5:00 to be there on time. I was also in bed, with a sleeping mask because it was still light out, between 8-9:00 pm. But I LOVED the feeling of getting my workout done before work. I felt like by 8:00, rolling into the office, my brain was ready to go. Since my Groupon has expired, I'm trying to figure out what's next for me. And it is...Jena is fantastic, and she manages to get you a great overall workout, most of the time before you even know what's hit you. Classes are fun, outdoors, lots of variety, and a great group of women. Jena does a great job keeping us challenged at a variety of fitness levels and I love the overall body toning (who knew I had those shoulder and arm muscles?) plus enough cardio to keep your heart rate up and burning calories. Jena is also great about encouraging us to set and achieve our goals and recently got some of us to sign up and train for a 5-10K. Boot camp gives you a great feeling of accomplishment before the sun even comes up and tons of energy throughout the day. Come join us!

I can't say enough good things about Amy's class. She puts on the most challenging class by far, and I mean that in the best way. She is a gifted instructor and clearly knows what she is doing. she is able to push everyone in her classes to achieve their personal best and is there to provide personal instruction and correction as needed. Her attitude is inclusive and welcoming and she keeps you accountable for doing your best. The gym is located inside a plaza so parking is not a problem. This gym offers a wide range of classes and a fully stocked weight room. The gym also has separate saunas for men and women. There is a smoothie and snacks cafe inside. The classes they offer include Hot Pilates, Reformer Pilates, various forms of Yoga, CS4 (boot camp), Boxing, Cycling, and Rebound. I've taken all their classes with several coaches, and I now have my favorite coaches. Ilze, Morgan, Alex, and Lo are top-tier for hot pilates and yoga; Alex and Adriana shine in cycling, Amy's unmatched in Reformer, Morgan and Lauren excel in CS4, and Sebastian brings it for Rebound and boxing. Overall, I am delighted with this gym, and I see myself staying for the long run. It has everything I need, and the instructors are top-tier.

He ignored me as if I was no longer even in the room, only turning to speak to me to say demeaning things such as "I know you're going to go home and convince yourself you don't deserve the body you want, you don't deserve to meet your goals, you don't deserve to be happy" "you wont meet your goals and you'll be sorry." My self-esteem has nothing to do with the fact that I don't need to place that much monetarily value to meet my fitness goals. Back in 2013, I lost 40 pounds, strictly through cardio (running, elliptical, etc.) and making better food decisions. Where I was lacking was in the core strength department. This is what I really like about Fit 2 the Core -- I did semi-private training sessions that I felt were efficient, effective, tailored to my fitness level/ability and complimentary to my continued running routine. I mainly worked with Tim and Steve, who are both fantastic. Although I ultimately decided not to join, my experience was very positive. They have lots of class/training time options from early morning through evening, but still a challenge with my full-time work and grad school schedule. (I generally work out at 5:00 am before work and they don't have semi-private available that early.) I also have a gym membership, so I can't justify spending the additional money...at least at the present time. If you are serious about getting in shape and want to feel well taken care of, I highly recommend checking out Fit 2 the Core.
