Turned out I've done some movements incorrectly that cause past injuries I started with CC a few weeks ago but in such a short time, I can already see the result. He breaks down each exercise and explains things in a way I can understand. I am the type that overthink too much, ask too many questions, and need to watch and rewatch and rewatch every movement before it makes sense to me.. he's so patient despite my never ending questions. Most importantly, he makes it fun! It's never one or two boring movements, it's always something new and every little movement builds up my strength. Some of the things I've learned to do since I started: mace (google it; it doesn't look hard but boy, it's one of the most challenging exercises I'm still struggling with); kick and punch (like for reals), and a bunch of core works I absolutely detested and have slowly learned to like (not love, just like). CC is one of the best decisions I've made in my fitness journey!!

The person who runs the place is a horrible human being. My son takes some classes at the center…read morenext door and we have been parking behind the common building for a year ( i was told we could). Bur apparently 2 weeks ago he put his sign on the parking. It would be nice to notify the lady who runs children center in writing so she can notify her clients. The sign is very blurry and hard to see in the dark. He could have left a warning note on the car but instead he chose to tow it leaving me and my 10 yo son stranded without jackets and a wallet on a cold rainy day. On top of it all the tow company stole our identity from a credit card (it was the only charge over the past 2 days and very soon we got a fraud alert). I wouldn't be supposed if this man has a financial gain from involving tow company otherwise I can't see why simple note wouldn't be enough at first.

She created a clear, structured day-to-day plan for our sessions and even shared an Excel sheet so I can easily see and track what we're working on. Being able to visualize my progress keeps me motivated and accountable, and it shows how much she genuinely cares about helping me succeed. Her approach is incredible. There's absolutely no pressure or intimidation just steady encouragement, positivity, and motivation. As a result, I had all but given up trying to reestablish a routine. My back has been an issue for decades and I thought that I'd tried everything - chiropractics, physical therapy, massage, acupuncture, accupressure ... you name it. I'd resolved to just live with the nearly constant discomfort and occasional debilitating spasms. However, Gabriele has changed my perspective by focusing on carefully building core strength while not aggravating other issues. She listened carefully to my problems, asked about my desired outcomes and she designs each workout specifically for my physiology and my state of progress. The coaches are very experienced and diligent in the workouts and direct 1:1 coaching. The owner, Adam (professional boxer prior to opening Star Method), and his wife are incredibly friendly and supportive, and often bring their 2 adorable fur babies, making it a very welcoming, safe and comfortable environment. The classes remain small (fewer than 6 participants) to ensure coaches maintain the ability to observe and quickly intervene on our overall form. Each of the coaches is friendly, encouraging, and very well-experienced in their craft. I feel very fortunate to have found my coach, Demetri. His attention to detail is phenomenal. If I struggle with form / a specific move, he has the ability to quickly create ways for me to have a better understanding of the why, while improving my overall form. Forma Gym in Walnut Creek markets itself as a luxury fitness club, but my experience was anything…read morebut premium. The disparity between the men's and women's locker rooms is impossible to ignore. The men's locker room is clean, well-maintained, and includes a sauna. The women's locker room doesn't even have a sauna. Instead, it has filthy floors, poorly maintained showers that don't drain, and standing water collecting around your feet while you shower. It's unsanitary, disgusting, and completely unacceptable for a gym charging premium membership fees. I tolerated these conditions for months before finally deciding enough was enough and canceling my membership. Unfortunately, the cancellation process was even worse than the locker room. I canceled my membership, yet Forma put me into a "soft cancellation" and quietly started charging me again three months later. I didn't realize it immediately, and by the time I caught the charges, they had collected months of membership fees. Rather than refunding money they never should have taken, they offered me free months at the same gym I had already chosen to leave. That is not customer service--it's a refusal to take responsibility. Between the neglected women's facilities and the way my cancellation was handled, I left feeling that Forma cares far more about collecting membership fees than providing the premium experience it advertises. I would never recommend Forma Gym in Walnut Creek won't be returning.
