Just had my hair colored and cut by the fabulous Linda at David & Company in Delray. First, Linda is an amazing colorist. Gave me a beautiful baby blond color and great haircut. Today I went to David & Co for a color and trim. Bell has been my stylist for over 2 years. She is a lovely lady and knows her craft extremely well. The owner David is another story. I had a gift certificate and when I went to pay my bill. There were quite a few people around the counter, an David was yelling at his husband. He was extremely loud and crude,rude and socially unacceptable! I told him to please use a little kindness and not so loud. He would not give me change from gift certificate to tip Belle. When I told him i wouldn't be back, he responded I don't care. David epitomes everything that is wrong with bad mannered people! I will never go back read more

Have gotten few pedicures from here and loved them. Went yesterday and it was terrible. Water was so cold i had to ask them to drain it and use hot water. She took a container and put it in and dumped half of it out and put hot water in. She scrubbed my legs with the sugar scrub but never washed it off, never massaged my legs or feet and never used any lotion. Whole thing took maybe 20 min. When i made the appointment he made a comment they schedule every 15 min now. They are now all about money and not quality of services. Waxing is in the middle of the pedicure area and no longer in a private room. I won't be going back here ever. My mom has had same problems and nails fall off the next day and they want to charge you to fix them. They have also just changed their name to Diva and Company. read more

Went here on a recommendation from a friend . Said Elan gives a good razor cut. As a new client, I expected a better reception than :Hi - go get washed"!! I asked if we could discuss my hair and concerns first - I think that's when things went downhill. He seemed hostile and disinterested and possibly offended that I asked for a razor cut. Simply said "NO- your hair is too razored!". I was very uncomfortable after that. Overall it was a good haircut but after styling myself I felt the back needed to be adjusted (I hesitate to say fixed!). I did not feel comfortable that I would be welcomed back if I had a problem since he never said if you have a problem please let me know. . So this week I try a new place. Unbelievable haircut by Marsha. She is the only person in 20 years that knows how to cut thick curly wavy hair! I have gotten so many compliments on my hair since she cut it. I went to this establishment with the highest of hopes of getting the style of a lifetime, instead they took a machete to my hair and I left crying and desperate. My hair was actually cut twice, once by a guy with what I can only describe as zero talent and then by Edward Scissorhands (AKA the rudest person I have ever met, David.) This hair and nail salon is under new management. It had a bad reputation under the previous owner but this is a whole new team. My stylist moved here from another salon and so I went there today for the first time. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. I not only got my hair colored and cut but they also accommodated my last minute request for a pedicure, manicure, and eyebrow wax. My hair looks amazing but so do my eyebrows and nails! It is a very spacious, well lit salon. They offer a range of services which made it easy to get my nails done while my color was processing. It was a great experience. I read a few reviews and thought I had made a mistake but I was going to the stylist not the whole place. A friend of mine always looks gorgeous and I asked her who does her hair. RACHAEL KANNER is the one. I have not cut my hair for over 5 years and boy it was time. Down to my waist and not healthy. FL sun and weather plus meds all did a job on it too. i am SO HAPPY I went. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my hair. It is over 2 weeks now and I wondered if I would stay happy. The cut is amazing and I can do it myself. That is the sign of a great hair cut when you do not need your stylist to go home with you LOL to make it look good. Rachael also colored me and though the color shocked me at first as my gray and white and blonde were so light and she did a dark blonde on me.......again I LOVE IT. Maybe high lights next time but I feel glamorous and more like the old me before life got lousy for a bit. FYI everyone....Rachel is bubbly and the people working in there are REAL people not fake foo foo ones. Rachael speaks from the heart and if you cannot handle her personality it is your loss. I tried to show what I wanted with a wig picture LOL.....she said THAT IS A WIG...no fooling her even with a picture. She said I already know what I want to do with your hair. I trusted her and am so excited. I am used to high end stylists in Boston and RACHAEL is one of the best if not the THE best I have been to. The prices are decent for a high end place. BY THE WAY...I saw some awful reviews about cleanliness and friendliness etc. The place is busy yet immaculate. The workers are real people and very nice. The decor is lovely. I was taken on time, given time by my stylist and loved it all. If you knew me you would know I say good things when it is true and nothing and walk away when unhappy. I am sure I am going back to this salon and to Rachael If you want butt kissing go to one of the snobby over priced places and MAYBE they will treat you like you smell bad but will pretend they are listening. If you want to be happy go to this one. One final thing...there was not one customer of Rachael's that did not come over and give her a hug or kiss on the cheek to say thank you again, contrary to some reviews I have seen. read more

50% of the staff is very nice and friendly, the other 50% is just mean. I like the nail tech that does my nails and I like the woman who does my hair. Alot of the staff there are just rude. They fight amongst themselves. I was getting a pedicure saturday and a nail tech named Angela starting fighting with my nail tech telling her she had to hurry because she had people waiting for pedicures. Thank God my woman didn't listen to her and rush my pedicure. This is just one of the many times I've noticed the employees fighting with one another. The shampoo girls are always complaining about one another. The place is not very clean. And they don't tell you that it is only cash or check when you make your first appointment. From what I've seen of the owners, they are only there to make money. They don't care about the clients or the employees. read more

I really hate to write this but, I have no choice in the matter. I went to David's for a haircut and blowout with Rachel on Friday before Veterans Day. The total was $65.00 . I wrote a check for $80.00. I transferred money from my savings to my checking. Due to the holiday the check didn't clear. My bank informed me on Wednesday. Thursday I went into David's spoke to Jerry the Manager told him the situation. He was in shock that I came in they had no idea about the check. I paid plus $20.00 fee. My bank said to stop the check because it was FLOATING OUT THERE . I did which cost me $50.00. David REDEPOSITED THE CHECK I ALREADY PAID HIM FOR. I got charged $36.00 dollars from my bank for the check. I called and spoke to David. The Nastiest Business Man I have ever dealt with. ALL I WANTED WAS MY $36.00 FEE I WAS CHARGED. NEEDLESS TO SAY WHAT HE DID WAS FRAUD. YOU DON'T REDEPOSIT SOMETHING YOU ALREADY GOT PAID FOR. TERRIBLE. BUSINESS MAN .HE HUNG UP ON ME AND SAID TOO BAD. read more

Several months ago I asked a friend for several names of salon's in the Boynton area for a blow out! David and company was among the few that was given. I went on Yelp to do research about the salon and get a name of a stylist. I called for an appointment with Wendy per the yelp review. The first time was a very nice experience and my hair came out terrific. The second time was totally a disaster. I checked in with the front desk at the exact appointment time and sat down, the salon was very busy. I sat for 10 minutes waiting to be called, then I went up to the front desk and asked if Wendy was running late, the blonde woman responded with additude, "I don't know?" I decided to go to Wendy's station, she told me to get washed. I then returned to her station and sat in her chair and got verbally abused. She told me I was late and she would start blowing my hair and then she would have to put color on a client. I said " you can't do that it's a 15 minute blow out, and you were running late! She then went off on me...she told me just because I come in 4 times a year that I had no right to tell her what to do and that I was late and she used profanity. I explained I was on time and was waiting at the front for her to greet me...she went off on me again! Woman has some anger issues. She claims she was doing absolutely nothing and was wondering where I was. My hair came out crummy and overall it was a horrible second experience! No respect, no customer service between the stylist and reception desk. I suggest for everyone to find another salon, nobody should encounter such a horrible experience for something so simple. read more
