Wonderful experiences recently at David & Mary - The Salon Experience! I scheduled online which was quick and easy! Enjoyed a wonderful facial with David. Beautiful and modern but approachable and comfortable salon spaces with an elegant, French vibe. The treatment rooms are cozy and featured lovely French music that was perfect for the setting. He walked me through all the phases of the facial and the benefits! Knowing the experience David has in this industry and the great esthetician offerings he has was definitely a reason I booked. I also scheduled a hair consultation with Mary after my facial to discuss some sizeable challenges I was having with my hair. I was able to get scheduled shortly after on an evening appointment (which are on Thursdays as of the time of this review). Mary spent a lot of time talking with me on what I wanted, what my problem areas/concerns were with my existing color, how we could make a plan and made sure we were both very comfortable before the color went in! I am just thrilled with the outcome and she is an expert colorist! She was very transparent about pricing and realistic expectations with what we could and could not do in order to achieve the best outcome. All while trying to figure out my hair as a new client. I had visited the salon a couple of years ago during a Yelp Elite event and was so excited to return for some wonderful appointment experiences!! I just have to add my thoughts on the customized lipstick experience!! I got to make my own lipstick last night and it was so much fun!! You can choose from a chart of existing colors or completely make your own. They will ask you some questions to see if you are more of a cool or warm tone person, do you want frost (think light shimmer, not 1980's!) matte, gloss, cream base. You can even flavor it with pink champagne or raspberry truffle! I love bright colors so that's what we went with. You watch them make it right before your eyes. Legit, one of the coolest things I've ever experienced! I love my new colors! One is bright magenta and the other one just has some more red in it along with a touch of frost and moisturizer! Highly recommend checking out this new addition! read more

You pick your colors and additional options ie. scent or simmer. They make sure you are happy w how the process is going and you are satisfied My friend and I loved the process and the product is great. This is a great way to feel special. read more

Wow! Went for a Yelp event and definitely will be returning. David explained all the tools and gadgets and the science behind it. I'm old enough to have tried a lot of it before but no one had taken the time to explain all of the options and the benefits of each. Mary tackled the makeup. She was so sweet and intuitive as well as professional. The makeup tutorial was exceptional and I should not have waited this long to learn. I bought some products but was in no way pressured. I'm making another appointment tomorrow. read more

Had a great morning spending some time with David and Mary. David walked me through a lot of their services and products. I ended up getting the Silver Bullet toner (which was HIGHLY recommended), Plussh cleanser and a serum. I LOVE THE CLEANSER. My skin has never been softer than after I use that. I probably ruin the benefits because I can't stop touching my face afterwards. With the toner, in both the demonstration I got as well as the directions on the bottle, it says to mist it on your face. The lid however is not a spray and rather like a shampoo lid, so I feel like I'm not getting the whole benefit not being able to apply it correctly. Mary was wonderful in showing me how to apply makeup and still keeping a natural look. After sitting with her, I got the concealer, eye brow shadow and bronzer. All are great, good quality and really easy to apply. Can't wait to go back for my first facial experience! read more

Wow. This was such a personal experience. It was just me and one other Yelper in there with David and Mary at a time. Both are a wealth of information and were so eager to share their expertise with us. When I walked in, I started with a mimosa and a rose flavored lollipop that had gold flakes in it. I also scored a macaron to enjoy on the drive home. David went through all of their skin care techniques available at their salon. He explained what they were, how each is executed, and what type of results to expect from each. I learned so much! Like, a crazy amount of knowledge was dropped on me! After we wrapped up with David, we received mimosa refills. THIS is how you keep me happy. Haha. With my mimosa in hand, we moved over to a different part of the salon where Mary works her makeup magic. She told us she was going to bring out our best features with minimal effort and got right to work. When I saw the colors she pulled for foundation, highlighter, and bronzer to use on me, I thought to myself, how is she going to pull this off? I would NEVER choose those colors. Well, what do I know? Obviously, very little, because she worked magic on my face. OMG, I was schooled again! I walked out with newly purchased lip gloss that I absolutely love, as well as a generous goodie bag from David and Mary. Inside, I found a small bottle of the Vitamin A serum David previously mentioned would be perfect for my skin at my age. I've been using it ever since, and wow, was he right. After about the third day of use, I noticed that my skin on my face is noticably glowing. I'm 50 years old. Do you know how long it's been since my skin has glowed?? I'm really looking forward to booking with them. I'm just not sure what I want to try first. Thank you to David and Mary and your staff for a fantastic event. What a fun day of David and Mary pampering! I shared an appointment with Jenna who was fun to meet! The boutique style salon evokes a feeling of comfort yet professional. Shelby kindly greeted me with my bag of goodies and offered a macaron, cookie a fun lollipop with gold flakes, champagne or water with pleasant background music. David and Megan spent time sharing all about skin care and the many options they can provide for all types of skin especially promoting healthy clean skin with an important emphasis on sterilization of instruments. I have to say it was a very comfortable setting as all of their personalities are great! Next was our makeup session with Mary who was so helpful with makeup application giving us an instruction sheet to aid our memory for our own application. They've obviously had a lot of experience while discovering proven methods bringing their best to clients. We also learned of some of their history and background as to how this all began which was fun to know too. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this event and thank everyone for their generosity in so many ways! read more
