I found Totem Lake Park, and it was such a beautiful surprise. The park has an amazing playground, plenty of benches and grassy areas to sit and bask in the sun, and lovely walkways surrounded by trees, plants, and birds. It felt like a little sanctuary tucked away in the city -- calm, refreshing, and full of life. After lunch, I took a stroll through the paths and soaked in the sunshine. It was crisp but bright, the perfect fall day. Everything was clean and well-maintained, including the restrooms. There's also easy street parking and wonderful views of the lake. Such a peaceful spot -- I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town!

This park is behind the Heritage Hall with easy walking paths for a stroll, see the water from a distance, walk the dog, and/or play tennis. They have two tennis courts (see photo). During springtime, they have several cherry blossom trees that bloom beautifully. Parking is plentiful by the street or use their small lot (see photo). I usually am walking over from downtown to extend my walking distance. There are two benches to enjoy the water view. There are no official children's play area, though there are some natural stones for climbing in a separated area (see photo). This park is simple, immensely peaceful, and a great place to just chill.
