Getting ready with my bridesmaids at David Ezra was one of the best decisions I made for my wedding. Professional, clean, and classy... with such great service I barely felt guilty about making my maids get up at 8 AM on a Saturday! The staff was extremely accommodating: they made sure every detail was taken care of and that I was satisfied with my final look. I came with 12 bridesmaids, 2 flower girls, my mom, and future MIL in tow and DE made sure everyone had a comfortable spot while waiting their turn. They even provided individual stations for the maids who opted out of the salon services so that they may do their own makeup. Most importantly, because of them, I was actually ON TIME for my wedding despite having to get so many women through "glam" ... (well, I was late to the actual wedding but we finished early at the salon! lol.) This is no small feat - I have been a bridesmaid in large wedding parties and timing in the morning can quickly become a major issue. But DE rose to the occasion, made sure that I had enough artists and chairs, and kept the group on a timely schedule... it was a small miracle to be perfectly honest and removed a lot of stress from the day. Plus, there is just something fun about drinking mimosas with the girls at a salon, especially one as nice as DE. Oh, and my hair and makeup came out fantastic and lasted throughout the entire night! I visited for a deep cleansing facial using a Groupon. The location is beautiful and makes you feel like you're in a super posh NYC salon. After checking in, my esthetician escorted me up to the spa floor, where I filled out a questionnaire about my skin. Then she took me to the room to get started. I slipped into a warm, comfy bed with nature sounds filling the room. It was super relaxing! My esthetician then walked me through what she was planning to do and was extremely polite. I really loved the entire experience and already have an appointment to go back! I probably won't be making it too much of a habit, since it's a bit pricey, but definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a pampering experience. read more

I decided to try David Ezra spa for my shellac manicures because the places I tried prior were drilling my nails trying to get the polish off. They were in such bad shape I decided to look for a place that uses a different technique. I could not be happier. I have used Gina twice so far and my nails are healing even with continued use of shellac polish. She uses a brand that can easily be soaked off. No drilling!! If you would like to save your nails and still get 2+ weeks out of your manicure try Gina. read more

I've done numerous facials and I've already set myself up for a massage. The ladies at the front desk are sweet, the spray tan technician is ON POINT and overall, it's a very calming, lovely vibe. I made an appointment with Brandy after seeing her work, and WOW!!! She really listened to what I wanted, and delivered beyond that- I've never had better highlights in my life!!! And she kept my length like I asked but it looks like I have volume now and as if it's healthy again!!! Hooray! Brandy is officially my girl! I am so disappointed with this establishment. I truly gave them multiple chances to redeem themselves. They are sneaky and want to sell you something or just blindside you with fees without the service. Best advice i will give you is ensure that you are aware of the prices and after you pay double check what you pay for. I decided to go david ezra salon and was aware that they were pricy. Most people know this i think. Thats fine and definitely not the problem at all. I am always there minimum 4-5 hrs for highlights and don't have long hair. I have asked each time to not use razor process as it makes my hair damaged almost immediately with split ends, knots and flyaway hair. And yet, each time i am ignored and razor process is used and then im told that i need to hydrate, my hair is very damaged (mind you i dont dry my hair or use any chemicals ever). Then promoting their line immediately. I let it pass as I know they are in sales business as well and not only service. For my appt I specifically asked no blow dry as it was going to be late ( knowing they will take 5 hrs as always) and i said i didnt want to be charged. When i went there i was told the water heater was broken and that there was no hot water. They should have called me to reschedule as i had to leave work early to make it there in time and still waited 40 minutes before i was taken. Anyway, i said fine didn't want to be that person and make a bug deal about it. I guess things happen unexpectedly ( they should of still called me though). Another customer was continuously complaining and they took her away ( maybe warmed up some water for her idk) but she came back in a better mood. If service and customers are important to this salon honestly that women and everyone there should not have left with wet cold hair and should not have been charged for a blowout. After, my highlights were done and my razor cut completed ( that i did not want) i was charged $345 plus tip. I had a feeling something was off. I called the salon and receptionist said i will call you in 5 minutes. I said sure. Next day she finally calls and i asked her to itemize my charges for me. She said cut glaze color and blow out. I said i did not receive a blowout and asked i not get one and not get charged for it. She said well its included in all cuts and did you ask for not blow out and why did you not want it. I said yes i asked for no blow out because i knew i was going to be there late and no need and i did not want to get charged for it. She said oh well we always include it like every other salon does. I said first thats not true they dont all include it and second why wasn't i told that when i booked appt. if it was included why would i leave with wet cold hair. If im spending 300+dollars a hair dry will not break the bank. I was very upset that i was not told up front as i asked. In addition when i wanted to book they said david may not be available would you consider another stylist i said sure. I also asked if pricing would change as I already know you are charged top $$$$ to work with david. She said pricing will be like david was doing your hair. How does that make any sense???? But at least i was told. Anyway- very very dissatisfied and disappointed with this place. For me to take all this time and voice my opinion david ezra salon needs to reconsider how they run their business. Misleading and shoving their own products in peoples faces is not the way to go. You mat still stay in business but reputation and integrity are very important. read more

Brandi is amazing - the best!!! Went in last night for a total color change - I had light brown-to-bright blonde ombre and wanted ash-to-platinum-to-silver ombre. I showed Brandi a picture from Pinterest and she went to work. It took awhile (3.5 hours) and was expensive ($325 - no cut but bought shamp. and cond.) but was soooo worth it! Not only was Brandi a genius colorist but she was fun to hang out with and talk to. HIGHLY recommended. The salon is clean and beautiful! This salon looks great in pictures but the reality is that it's overpriced and a complete waste. The entire time I was there, every staff member may have collectively said less than 30 words to me. Typically when you go to a salon you pay for a full hour of service for a haircut. I was done in 30 minutes and had to pay $80 for a haircut. That's absolutely insane for minimal work and poor service. Also, the women next to me spent about 15 minutes talking to her client about her drug use habits and my eye balls almost popped out of their sockets and my ears almost melted off. Probably the most unprofessional experience I've ever had in a salon and I will definitely not be returning. read more

Really nice place!! I had a haircut and blowout with Nadem- he is amazinggggg! I have never been completely satisfied with a blowout until trying Nadem, he makes it just how I like it! Got my hair and makeup done here for a special occasion. The lady I had was really nice and friendly. My hair was done beautifully and exactly what u wanted. I would defiantly come back for my hair again. On the other hand, my makeup could have been better. I had a picture of this as well and it was not really followed and was done to her liking. If i could give zero stars, i would. I went there for the first time but i wish i never did. They completely RUINED my hair. My hair reached my butt and honestly was not dead-- i just needed a TRIM. I told my stylist (i won't mention her name just to spare the humiliation) that i wanted to keep my hair long as it has been this way my entire life and she went on to tell me that i should not have long hair because it weighs down on the follicle, which i understood but still wanted my hair long. She proceeds to part my hair and started cutting the back, when she flipped my hair to the front and i saw how short the back was, my heart actually dropped. At that point, i had no choice but to match the rest of my hair to that length. I was on the verge of tears!!!!! She kept telling me that it was only "one inch". I will put photos for reference-- and all of you can tell me that the difference in length is NOT just one inch. THESE STYLISTS DO NOT LISTEN TO WHAT YOU WANT, THEY DO WHAT THEY THINK IS GOOD. If I could give this place a zero I would. I will never ever EVER go here again. Bought a Groupon to get a deep cleansing facial. Started off with her walking in half hour late for my appointment. I have great skin and have never had an issue before getting a facial. I walked in with clear skin and walked out mutilated. Not only did she go unbelievably hard with the extractions but she used abrasive gloves during the facial. There was no head or neck massage included. Nothing about this experience was relaxing or positive. One hour later and my face is completely swollen, red, incredibly blotchy and irritated. I feel like I was butchered. I will not go back. I went there in person after I booked an appointment to make sure that they could put my hair up and was told yes by Victoria who said she was going to the book and change the appointment so that she could do it. I asked how much and Victoria said it is not her job for the price and when I asked the desk and was told have to see when it is done. My appointment was at 2 and was called on the appointment day at 1:40 and was rudely asked where was I for my 1:30 appointment. I told the person that my appointment was at 1:30 that I clearly would not made it at 1:30. When I got there I announced that I was there for my 2 oclock not 130 appointment and the receptionist said curtly and rudely oh yes you had a 2 not sorry for the mistake. After being washed, Victoria started combing my hair and lifted half and said the back will be down. I said No and reminded her that I specifically came in the day before and asked if it could be done up. She then said how about the sides and I said no. She started on the back and was arrogant and insisted that she needed to frame my face. At this point I was committed to my hair being done there since I was under the gun for time so I said fine. A stylist should not harass a customer into what they want and that is what I felt she did. When she looked at my hair the day I came by while she was touching it, she should have mentioned it may not be able to be put all up. At that point, I would have made a decision whether I wanted the appointment or not. To add insult to injury, I was charged $85 which I was not told it would cost up front. I left a tip only because I thought at the time I would not go again for my hair but would for a facial or massage but after I left decided will not return there. Clearly, they knew up hair styles are $85 as that was what the top of their range on the price list so not only was I treated rudely but was misinformed. My appointment was totally a half an hour which was the same amount of time as my friend who had a down hairstyle and she was charged half the price. read more

Would give -5* if I could. I purchased a deal for partial highlights or solid color plus haircut. Big mistake. I arrived at the salon early, excited to have my roots touched up and a great haircut before my 30th high school reunion. Was I mistaken. When someone finally came to get me, they took me to a stylist, think his name was Hong, as he didn't speak English very well. I explained I just wanted my roots touched up and the haircut. He kept asking about the color. I kept telling him I wanted it the same dark color that I had. He said ok. When he returned, I noticed that the color of the dye didn't look right (as I've had my color done so many times) and he just kept telling me it was fine. As it was processing again I said it was turning the wrong color, he just kept telling me it was fine. I even got up and went into the reception to complain, but nothing was done to stop this process. Stylist returned to add more color to my hair, saying it was darker. Then tried to add streaking down the color to"blend it", I stopped him and said no very loudly. This was crazy, had this person ever done any type of hair color before. At this point I didn't know what else to do because no one was listening. So finally he moves me to the sink to wash out the color, again bad experience. I swear this man did not go to school for this. He takes me to another station to give me my haircut. I explain what I want and again he says fine. He makes the first cut and then leaves. At this point I look at the color, only to find he had lightened my hair color, it wasn't even close to my color!! I got up out of the chair, went back to the reception in tears demanding to see a manager. When the girl asked me what was wrong, I told her again, look at the color, I told you earlier he was putting on the wrong color, she said oh yes it's much lighter. Finally she went and returned with a lady, who said she would fix it, no problem. I have to say this stylist was very nice and even offered to add in some extra low lights, which I declined. She did correct it to a much closer color. At this point I was taken to her station by another stylist to dry the front roots to look at the finished color, it wasn't a 100% but much closer. I didn't expect it to be a 100% since the stylist before had just lightened it. Then I was told that Hong would be right with me to finish my haircut. My response was, absolutely not!! He will NEVER touch my hair again!!! I asked the lady who corrected the color if she could be the one to cut it, and she was not able as she was leaving for the day. I was walked to the front by the stylist who had dried my roots to reschedule my haircut, stating she would be the one to do it and ensured me there would be no charge. So I booked the appointment for the day before I was to go to my reunion. Then the receptionist said I owed an additional $96 dollars. I said no, I had pre purchased the deal. She continued to argue saying that it only covered part of the deal. I pulled up the Groupon details and showed her that it was paid in full and they had redeemed it. She continues to say I owe more money. Finally she brings up someone to help, who showed her she marked the incorrret box, that I didn't owe anything further. So 3 1/2 - 4 hours after my appointment had started, I was leaving with the incorrect color, no haircut and wet hair. As I thought about my experience, I got more and more upset. So I called the next day to cancel the haircut. I explained why I was canceling the appointment. After all of this, why subject myself to another tragic experience. About a week or so after my reunion, I missed a call from the salon. When I returned the call, the girl said they just wanted to follow up to see how satisfied I was with my appointment. So again I went into detail about my experience. The girl apologized and asked if I would like to have the manager call me back. I of course said yes. As of this review, I have not received any call back. I would NOT reccomend this salon to anyone. read more

First time here and I adore this place. David is SUPER knowledgeable. He gave me color and a hair cut "for my face" and it looked BEAUTIFUL! I have been a client of David Ezra Salon, formerly Faces Plus Salon, for nearly 20 years and have never walked out looking less than perfect! From haircuts, color, up dos, and spa services this salon is the best around. I trust the staff with everything - I have never been unhappy or received less than stellar service. Even when I moved out of the local area I would make the 30 minute commute to have my hair done monthly. All of the women in my family are also clients here, including my aunt who used to travel from Philly for David's expertise. One Stop Shop. I found David Ezra salon about 6 months ago while looking for a quality nail salon open on Sundays. My work schedule doesn't allow for any personal time for appointments during the week and my saturdays are usually filled with errands and housekeeping, so Sundays are a preferred "me-time" day to spoil myself. I have tried many nail salons within 15 miles and have issues at other salons with quality of service, limited hours, rushed technicians, dirty equipment, which ultimately resulted in a poor manicure/pedicure. However, now that I have been going to this salon, I will not go anywhere else. It is a bit more pricey for nail services ($40 each for gel manicure and pedicure) but it's well worth it. Every manicurist I have had has been meticulous and appointments are scheduled so they are not over booked and rushed. They truly take the time to do their job well. All of the manicurists are genuine, nice people who love what they do and want to give you a quality manicure. The nail salon portion of the building, however, could do with a little more of a luxurious upgrade to truly round out the experience for the customer. They do have package deals to bring down the cost of the services, i think there is a buy 5 get one free package or something like that. I started going to this salon for the manicures, but recently signed up for their VIP platinum membership which is about $140/month and includes a 50-minute massage, a DeLux facial and a pedicure or men's haircut each month. Since I was going for the pedicures already, I figured this was a way to maximize value. The massage and facials can roll over to the next month if not used and/or gifted to the person of your choosing, so it's a fantastic package. I have been for the massage and facial and the spa-area of the salon is very nice and the services I received were above average. The therapists do not try to up-sell you on products or services which is also very nice. Now that I've become a loyal customer, I have also had a haircut at the salon (also wonderful to be able to get this done on a Sunday). The price for cut and style was about $70 plus tip, which is about average and my hairstylist and cut was great, I would definitely go back for other hair services. I should also note that they have a rewards program where you can build up cash to be applied to your bill at any time. I will likely try the waxing services next. I am thrilled to find a quality full service salon where all the employees are happy to be working there (and have all said the owners are lovely), and where I can get pampered on a Sunday. read more

Took my granddaughter here for haircuts starting when she was about two years old.One day about three years in - i am sitting reading their cost of services pamphlet waiting for her to be done when i notice a huge price difference between a childs haircut & an adult haircut. They had been charging us for years for an adult haircut for this little child. When i checked out i told Julie, the receptionist also David Ezra's wife, suddenly the price was the childs price. The more I thought about this the more angry I got i called Julie & explained how I felt - needless to say she was her usual nasty self but asked me how old she is now so they would know when to begin charging the adult price again.No apology, just annoyed the ripoff was discovered. Amazing work and professionalism. As a wedding planner - I couldn't ask for a better salon to work on my brides. I reached out to DE six or so months ago for a September 23rd wedding in Butler,NJ. Julie the salon manager was extremely helpful in getting quotes and details over to me in a timely manner. The day of - each stylist arrived on time - and their work was phenomenal. The salon provided me with a hair / makeup schedule beforehand - so I could help make sure everyone was ready in a timely fashion. The ladies looked amazing, the staff had makeup shades for everyone (Thank Goodness). The bride did airbrush and looked like a queen the entire night. I have been a customer for years. I have textured hair with tight curls and I have a ton of hair. I struggled for years to find a salon that could work with my hair. After I found this salon, I continued to go back year after year because I always leave with beautiful hair. I usually work with Kenny. He is a great stylist and he's so nice. The last time I went, about 2 weeks ago, I walked in with a head full of bleached hair. I had tried, unsuccessfully, to bleach and dye my own hair at home. It was a total mess. I made a color correction appointment with David in hopes that he could help fix the mess I had created. I wasn't sure what to expect because my hair was totally fried and it was several shades of copper. After several hours, I walked out of the salon with hair that felt healthier and looked absolutely gorgeous. The results were amazing! David is truly a master of his craft. Would not recommend this hair salon. Especially if you are using a groupon. I purchased a groupon for a cut, color and blowout. After my color began, I was told that it would be $18.00 more because my hair was thick and long. Half of the color was left in the bowl when finished. When I went to checkout, the front desk told me that it would also be an additional fee for the the cut. I asked them to show me where it said any of that in the groupon and they said their system was down. Although Tony did a wonderful cut - would not recommend that place to anyone. read more

It's a convey belt salon, you're passed from one assistant to the next for each procedure, no one has a vested interest in results. I was a 1st time customer, booked an appointment with David for single process and lowlights. He didn't touch my hair, he passed me off to his assistants. One applied color to roots, another applies lowlights and yet another applied filler. Awful results! David didn't seem to care, he went on to meet/greet his next client. Save your time and $200+ and go elsewhere. read more
