I ended up going to get it checked out, and the doctor suggested it could have been caused by a contaminated or improperly disinfected extraction tool. That immediately made sense to me because I didn't see a barbicide jar or any visible sanitizing setup in the room where my facial was performed. It really made me question whether they are properly disinfecting their tools between clients. Overall, this experience was stressful.

Usually I have Veronica do my waxes, but this last time I had Nelly. The whole experience is completely sanitary, and Nelly was great! Even though I've been getting waxed for a while, she still made sure to talk me through everything as she was doing it which I found to be good as it took my mind off of the waxing itself. At the beginning she asked if I wanted lashes, and I agreed. Towards the end of my appointment, she handed me the mirror to check on my makeup. I pointed out a few things, which she fixed and at that point, I was happy. When I went to pay, my artist mentioned to the person at the desk the lashes. And when they stated the price, it was $20 higher than I was originally anticipating per the pricing online. They asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes to check it but they only handed me the credit card slip. I asked for the itemized receipt and the lashes were an extra $20. At no point did the makeup artist mention the up charge and I was a little taken aback. A friend of mine came in after and I mentioned the lashes to her and she opted out of them. I was frustrated as I literally had lashes in my purse while sitting in the makeup chair. I wish I had the option to pay the extra fee instead of not being warned. I mentioned I didn't get my makeup done often so this wasn't something I was expecting and it wasn't listed on their website that lashes were extra when booking. I was really disappointed as I felt like it was done secretive instead of being open with clients.
