I have been seeing Susie (Susana) for 3 years now. I first came to her when i had a bad haircut (like very bad), she colored, toned and fixed it perfectly! After that she took time to get to know me, talk to me and genuinely ask questions about not just hair but life in general! It feels nice to sit in the chair and feel like I'm talking to a friend! I had not been able to make it into salon for ~2 months. I told Jessica I would need a low-maintenance color and style. However, I wanted the beautiful light ash blonde highlights she has done for me in the past. In our consult, Jessica and I discussed that we can achieve the lighter ash blonde highlights she has done for me in the past. In the consult, Jessica suggested partial highlights in a slightly darker ash blonde which will be low-maintenance but achieve a contemporary hair color; soft and subtly transition between my darker shade and lighter shade. Sorry to say my experience was NOT GOOD. I have curly hair and needed a simple trim. I called before making my appointment and asked IF they are familiar with cutting curly hair and she said YES, so i was a little nervous as not everyone know how to deal with my type of hair. I came in and was a little uneasy right away. I felt like i wasn't ment to be in there. I am HIspanic and maybe it was me but the looks that were headed my way was crazy. I still needed a trim and decided to go ahead with my cut since they said they knew how to deal with CURLY HAIR. BIG MISTAKE!!! they wased my hair which was fine, then they proceeded to blow dry it straight to cut it... WHAT!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!! i literally asked her thats NOT hows it done. Tress Chic is a real treat in the small town of Bloomingdale, New Jersey. I had my hair cut and blown out and it looked amazing. I recently went back and had a haircut and had a full head of highlights put in and it turned out gorgeous. I really could not be happier with the results. Lisa was my stylist and she listened to what I was looking for and made it happen. I have a lot of long, thick hair so it is not easy to work with.
