I have received responses from different opinions. I learned something different.
1. Generally speaking, two years is more than enough time to fix a crooked tooth
2. Retainers are not meant to shift teeth.
3. In my case, wisdom teeth is not necessary needed to be removed to fixed my concerned crooked tooth.
After two years of treatment, there is no obvious results on my crooked tooth. When I express my concern to him, he simply advice me to remove all four of my wisdom teeth. He then put me on retention. During retention , he refused to give any responses to my concerns.
Confused about his decision, I decided to seek a second opinion.
When I visit his office again, aware of my action, he immediately release me from his office. His staff members inform me to leave the office. Shocked by the sudden change of attitude, I stood there not moving an inch, frozed like a statue. Before I recover from my shock, staff members pick up the phone and call the police. Though still shocked but I manage to recover to the point where I know there is no need to challenge the authorities. I inform the officers I meant no harm and took my leave.
I do not believe in bad relationships with health care providers. A health care provider who is not able to help with your current concern doesn't mean they won't be able to help you with possible future concerns
After two days of cooldown I contacted his office, hoping to repair my relationship with him. His staff members inform me that the orthodontist feels the situation has gone beyond repair. As a non patient I should not contact their office in any way. They consider it as a form of harassment and may consider taking legal actions against me. She also advice me that as a grown up, I should start taking responsibility for my own actions.
Again every story has two sides. This is my side of the story. He may have something different but nothing is going to change the fact my tooth is still crooked. read more
