I can't say enough how wonderful Dr. Tancreto, his dental assistants, and office staff are. Last week on Wednesday, I noticed a sensitivity at the root of tooth #12. The office staff, Elisa and Christine, were very receptive to my needs and I was able to get in for x-rays the next day on Thursday. Dr. Tancreto did the root canal the following Monday. Found Dr Tancreto through Yelp and very thankful I did. He's very kind, has a warm smile, friendly, caring, professional and has a wonderful bedside manner. His staff especially the ladies at the front desk and check out are very kind and compassionate. I appreciate them. Dr Tancreto did a re-do of a root canal on a tooth that had been bothering me for a year. I just knew it didn't feel right. After he re-did the root canal, it was still bothering me meaning that right side of my mouth even after a couple of months had passed. I went in a couple of times to get it checked out and everything looked great. While he had me bite on a couple of things to determine where the pain was coming from, a big chunk of enamel next to the tooth he re-did fell out, thank goodness the tooth was not as badly affected although there was a big chunk that chipped off. Needless to say, that was the tooth that was giving me so much trouble and discomfort over the past year which needed a root canal. I scheduled it the following week and got it taken care of. I'm so grateful he was able to find the culprit on what was giving me so much pain on that right side of my mouth. I went back to my dentist to get the crown put in. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Tancreto. I went in for an evaluation and root canal and during the evaluation we discovered that I needed a second root canal. Dr. Tancreto did both the same day. Dr. Tancreto is very good with a needle, The numbing process was painless and the whole procedure went comfortably for me. After I got home and the numbness wore off, I didn't experience any pain - just a slight tenderness if I touched my cheek near my nose. All in all it was a very positive dental experience. This was my first time getting a root canal, and I was very scared of what the process would be like. From the moment I spoke to Dr. Tancreto's staff on the phone, I was immediately put at ease. The front desk staff was kind, warm and friendly. They checked my insurance and provided me with a quote prior to coming in to the office. Meeting with Dr. Tancreto was like a breath of fresh air in the world of customer service gone bad and doctors treating you like a number, while seeing you as quickly as possible so they can get to their next patient. He was kind and calm, and he explained the procedure to me in a way that made me feel less afraid. He was able to do the root canal the same day, and he was done in less than 40 minutes. Oh, and the procedure itself was no big deal. No pain at all! I am so appreciative of his approach and the reassuring way he spoke to me before, during and after the procedure. The root canal itself was painless and not at all the misery I had heard, so for that I am grateful to Dr. Tancreto. However, it felt like an assembly line in there and the wait was quite long for each step of the process. They were overbooked. The biggest issue, though, was that I had an abscess (not uncommon) and the area was infected. I asked if I would be getting antibiotics. I was told my "body's natural defenses" would take care of it once the cause was fixed by the root canal. Well. I ended up with a jaw infection that was excruciating. Another endodontist treated me and appeared to be surprised that I had not been prescribed an antibiotic at the time I had the root canal. I know there is an overuse of antibiotics, and I assume Dr. Tancreto was trying to avoid this, but I needed them. Not good. read more

Dr Tancreto is friendly and very skilled at his craft. His staff got me in the office in less than 24 hours after a cancelation and, frankly, I couldn't be more pleased with how everything went. I am cursed with soft teeth and a sweet tooth. As a result, an X-ray of my mouth shows fillings, crowns, and root canals in almost every tooth past the front 8. I only say this to show my experience from many, *many* hours having been spent in a dentist' chair. It usually sucks. And don't get me wrong, getting any dental procedure sucks. But as far as they go, this was the easiest, fastest root canal I've ever had. In the past, they've taken well over an hour - sometimes 2. I couldn't believe when they said I was all finished; I was in and out of the office (including paperwork, X-rays, and numbing!) in less than an hour. I've had basic fillings take longer than this. Oh, and no pain. Needless to say, if (when) I need another one, I'll be back to see Dr. Tancreto. read more

Root canals... eeeck! Anything related to dental work just freaks me out. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who avoid taking care of major issues with my teeth right away. Yep, I'm a procrastinator. I waited until my tooth was throbbing for 3 days straight to finally see my dentist. Obviously I'm not proud of this, but it just goes to show how much I fear seeing the dentist for these kinds of things. I finally made it into the Dentist's office for x-rays. Turns out that I had a really bad cavity that ended up hitting part of the root. My dentist immediately referred me to Dr. Tancreto for an emergency root canal procedure. A root canal?! I cringed. I've had 2 root canals in the past, but both were done many years ago when I was a teenager. I couldn't even remember the previous procedures, but I just remember being in pain. Fast forward to now, and the technology has advanced so much over the past 20 years. I went into the office feeling uneasy and left feeling so reassured. Dr. Tancreto was fast and efficient. The whole procedure went very smoothly and I barely felt any pain. Dr. Tancreto's assistant Veronica was so wonderful! She made me feel really comfortable before, during, and after the procedure. They showed me the before and after x-rays and explained the aftercare treatment thoroughly. The whole process took about an hour tops, and much of that time was spent speaking with Veronica and waiting for my mouth to numb in preparation. The fact that Dr. Tancreto was able to squeeze me into his schedule for an emergency appointment that same day was amazing. Sending a huge thanks to Dr. Tancreto and the entire Concord Endodontics team for making my root canal procedure easy and pleasant. Hopefully I won't have to ever see Dr. Tancreto again under these circumstances, but it's nice to know that he is around just in case. After a weekend of excruciating pain (like seriously, nothing I've ever felt before), Dr Tancreto's team was so accommodating and got me in for a same day appointment. Elisa was so sweet and helpful with scheduling/cost (which was great as I was paying out of pocket) and Dr Tancreto and his assistant walked me through the entire process from start to finish helping ease my stress. The best part, I felt ZERO pain and he had me in and out of there in an hour!! Even a day later, my jaw feels back to normal, I don't even need ibuprofen. Dr. Tancreto's practice carries that distinction of being a 5 star business that I never want to visit again! They did right by me when I needed them, I know they'll be there again if needed, and I hope I never need them. Such is the life of a endodontist. I was referred to Dr. Tancreto by my primary dentist to address a larger problem, and as expected my exam and x-rays revealed I had some deep damage and was in need of a root canal. If you're like me, the thought of getting one was a bit of a soul crushing blow - I don't wanna be that person who needs a root canal, the alleged worst dental procedure ever! But years ago I CRONCHED down hard on a piece of candy, and the damage was done. And really, is it so bad to fix what's broken? Isn't a few minutes, hours or days of discomfort worth the physical reset the medical industry provides? Despite fear n' such? I think so. Dr. Tancreto and his staff were great. The procedure was painless, though I did have to ask for more novocaine than he originally gave me (because I know myself and luckily he's one doctor who listened to me and was willing to do what I wanted to be comfortable and to manage my anxiety). He explained in great detail and answered all my questions what had gone wrong and what he'd be fixing. Pro tip: if you're coming in for your first root canal, do what I did - watch root canal videos on YouTube AFTER. You really don't need the visuals in your head. The procedure ain't fun. But I don't know how it could have been any better. It was pain free and took maybe 30 minutes. The only thing I wish had been different is they had been a bit more forthcoming about the amount of pain I'd be in after, I feel like they downplayed it a bit and I would rather have been told to take painkillers and get ahead of it than to treat it like a wait and see. So word to the wise, when you're done and get back to your car, pop that ibuf immediately. No need to ruin your night needlessly. I sincerely hope to never see Dr. Tancreto and team again. But if I need to, I will do so without hesitation. Highly recommended! read more

This endodontic office is hands down the best, I unfortunately have a bit of experience with different practices - this isn't my first root canal... ugh. I never write reviews but I am so impressed by their professionalism that I am compelled to write. My first point of contact was with Elissa. I called the referral number and didn't know what to expect. She was very helpful, pleasant, and answered all of my questions - it felt like she was smiling and in a pleasant mood on the phone. On the day of my visit I called again to let them know that I was, unfortunately, arriving late because of an unexpected situation. Again, that did not phase the team, I was greeted warmly and was told that Mariah would be right with me and before I could get comfortable in my seat Mariah greeted me and took me back. Mariah was very thorough and quick. She took x-rays to get a picture of the problem. In minutes, Dr. Tancreto was there to greet me with a warm smile, I felt like we were old friends. He thoroughly consulted with me. I asked questions and he answered them, he was very warm. Once I agreed we were off to get the work done. Nothing felt rushed, everything was very methodical. I felt safe, but they were quick!!! I laughed right after the procedure because: 1. I felt very little pain and when I did it was for a microsecond, I could barely register it. 2. It took probably 30 minutes from beginning to end! - they are a well oiled machine! 3. I actually enjoyed the experience. To this day I have zero pain. No pain pills needed. I saw Dr. Tancreto a couple weeks ago for an incredibly bad root canal that I needed to take care of YEARS ago; it was really bad. Like so many other patients, I'm absolutely TERRIFIED of any type of dentistry or invasive oral care. I had to finally bite the bullet & get it done so it didn't become even worse. After talking to Dr. Tancreto's WONDERFUL team, I went into my first root canal experience with a lot less fear & a whole lot less anxiety. As I live with moderate anxiety issues, we thought we might have to opt for nitrous or perhaps something a level higher so I wouldn't lose my mind during the procedure. But after talking to the staff & them telling me their honest opinions & own personal experiences, I got my procedure done with only using local anesthetics. Dr. Tancreto & his team are such an experienced team & it shows. Not only are they super knowledgeable with insurance & payments, but they also completely put my mind at ease about the actual procedure itself. My first root canal experience was GREAT! [Considering that it was a darn root canal, lol.] I have another root canal procedure that needs to be done & I have absolutely ZERO fear going into it with them. I can't rave about them enough! If I could give them more stars, I would! Concord Endodontics is AMAZING & I will see no one else for my care. But when you have a tooth nerve that's flaring into excruciating pain, you want a dentist who is fast, calm and proficient. Dr Tancreto is all that and more. When I say "fast", I don't mean that he rushes, but that he can fit you on the schedule quickly and that there's not a lot of waiting around when you go in. He and his staff are low-key, friendly and reassuring. And although a root canal is never going to be fun, he minimizes the drama as well as the pain. I woke up with major tooth pain. Went you DDS at 130pm and after an x ray and exam he referred me to Dr. Tancreto and called his office for me. They were able to see me immediately so I just drove right there. The office was very clean and the front office ladys were very nice and informative about insurance and costs as well as honest about running a bit late. They even offer cold bottled water while you wait. Dr Tancredo and his assnt were top notch. Took x rays and then explained the whole process. The did a great job with zero pain during any of it. He really understands how to do the root canal the right way. And he and his assnt work so well together the actual procedure only took about 30 min start to finish. read more

I can't begin to tell how great Dr. Tancreto is at his craft. I had a root canal that was done by him yesterday without drama, nor the fear that I've experienced in the past with other dentists. There was no pain during the procedure and little pain after the procedure. YAY! His Dental Assistant is beyond proficient. His pricing is reasonable. Could not be more grateful for Dr. Tancreto and his dental assistant Monica. I was having *excruciating* pain that escalated quickly over night and couldn't get in touch with my regular dentist (although now I'm glad I couldn't). Through some crazy fortunate twist of fate I found Concord Endodontics and was in and out of the office for a root canal and much feeling better within half a day. They explained everything that they were doing every step of the way (including billing, insurance coverage, etc) and were just SO pleasant.
