We brought him in for euthanasia during one of the hardest moments a family can face. He was already stressed, aggressive, and muzzled, so this required calm, compassionate handling. Instead, the sedative was administered so poorly that medication was spraying and spilling all over us all, which only made him more terrified. What I will never forget is that the euthanasia drug was then given while he was still visibly alert, scared, and actively panicking. Because she didn't want to wait for the assistant to bring her more sedative. His final moments were not peaceful. He died terrified. Years later, I still carry guilt and trauma from witnessing this. We were robbed of the peaceful goodbye every pet and family deserves, and then still had to pay for it. I would never trust this clinic with another animal's final moments.i would never trust them with anything.

Her previous vet seemed unconcerned with my dog's diagnosis, only suggesting changing her diet. Dr. Mann, however, went into immediate save-this-dog-mode from the very first visit. She took such excellent care of my little girl, but unfortunately she was too far along in the illness, and after a few weeks she died. The front office staff was friendly, upbeat, kind, understanding, and wonderful, just like Dr. Mann throughout the entire experience.

Most of the staff are nice and the prices are good but the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. My dog needed to have surgery and they had me drop her off at 7am. I called them at 4pm because I hadn't received an update and I was told she hadn't even gone into surgery yet...I had to take time off work to drop her off early which is fine but it was frustrating to find out they just had her waiting around in a crate all day. Another instance is when I brought her in for some vaccinations and waited with her in the lobby for over 45 minutes. No one said anything to me and I had to ask multiple times to see what was going on because I shouldn't have had to wait that long. It was also frustrating because I moved my appointment from 4pm to 2:30pm and then literally waited until 3:30 to be seen anyway. Also, if you're in a room, they'll say they'll be back and then leave you in there for like 20-30 minutes without an update and you'll have to go into the hall and flag someone down to remind them that you're still there. They also let owners go into the surgery room when they drop off their pet while people are literally operating on an animal a few feet away...seems unsanitary to me. Luckily I'm moving so I won't have to come back but if I wasn't, I would have really considered finding a new veterinarian. Only good thing about this place is the price.

I am leaving another review because I am disappointed in the 3.5 stars. Especially reading reviews…read morethat are out of touch with today's veterinary world. Those saying price increased- be realistic they have only raised them as needed- as many other places are FAR FAR more expensive and money driven. Dr. Strauss and Dr Long have treated MY BABY BOY. And both our cats. We have never had any issues and have had top notch care. The reality is that Veterinary clinics are under staffed over worked and doing the best that they can. There are VERY few good veterinarians remaining that actually care- that listen, that do everything they can to help. I have been able to get a new addition in to see them, I have been able to get my new kitten in but yes I did have to wait- Instant gratification doesn't exist in the vet world. I've also been able to get exceptional emergency care when needed though. As a helicopter dog mom whose dog has a massage therapist, a chiropractor, a behaviorist, two trainers and swim coach- I am INSANELY picky about who touches my dog or takes care of him. I have extremely high some what unrealistic expectations of the medical team- and Dr Strauss has never let me down- has understood my concerns and has provided exceptional care. The support staff are flooded with phone calls, follow ups and taking care of the lobby- if you've ever sat there you would see they aren't sitting about chatting it up- they are slammed and constantly busy. So yes you may have to wait but they do make sure that if it's an emergency they address it right away- I'm not sure that people's expectations are realistic especially given today's circumstances. I personally book appointments as far out as I can and don't wait til the last minute because I understand the difficulties and demand- I also know when a business is truly doing their best and genuinely cares- Tahoma's Staff care deeply and give it everything they've got to take care of pets and people- so maybe give them a break!

Took my car in to be seen for upper respiratory infection symptoms, they did nothing on the first…read morevisit but told me to come back if she didn't get better. After she continued to get worse they told me they couldn't get her in for almost 2 months. When we Brought her back and they said her teeth needed to be pulled so they pulled 4 teeth and said it would solve the problem, her health then got worse, they never actually tried to diagnose and solve the issue they just wanted to rack up money. If you value your pets life don't bring them here.

The clinic itself was very clean. We were in and out in about an hour even with X-rays and labs. I did appreciate that the doctor was upfront about the estimated cost of the procedures that she suggested. She could have done some other procedures that our dog needed but told us to wait and solve what the main issue was first. Looks like our old dog is gonna be okay. He has bronchitis and pneumonia but is likely gonna be fine. They saved an old dog because I was sure his time was coming to an end.

Both of our dogs are patients here, and they absolutely love everybody at the clinic…read more Our older pup has significant digestive issues, but Dr Kappelman was wonderful in helping us get that under control without having to put our girl through invasive procedures to get to the bottom of it. She built so much trust with us, and it's carried through to all the staff. Everybody knows and loves our girls. The front desk staff has had some turnover, but overall they're all wonderful and treat us (and the pups) so well.
