My pets are my babies. I value them more than any material item. So it says a lot that I will trust Firgrove veterinary clinic with my babies. I've had really great experiences and I drive quite a drive just to get to them even just to have my crybaby of an 85 pound middle-aged male pitbull's nails cut. Besides the regular visits like nail cutting and vaccines, both of my babies have had recent surgeries there, and I have been happy with their professionalism and comfort and responsiveness.

My cat while under the influence of the controlled pain killers that ere prescribed for the "simple surgery"

Sadly, this place used to be good. However, recently, they hired young technicians that don't quite know what they're doing. My cat came in for a simple neutering, which has turned into (so far) 6 days of torture for my cat. His incision has opened countless times, with flesh falling out. He has had bloody stool, and I recently found out they prescribed too strong of drugs (controlled pain killers). My poor cat is now being seen by a couple other urgent cares. Each one has expressed horror when looking at my cat. 10 years ago, this was the best veterinary hospital in town. Now, I can sadly never go back.

FINALLY... A vet and assistant who love animals. My last vet office at Value pet clinic were only interested in $$. These people were genuinely kind and interested in my dog. Kind and gentle as well as informative about my dogs ear issues. My dog was totally against anyone looking at his ears, and he is 109 lbs of strength. Instead of holding him down they were clever and gently rubbed his ears and then snuck a peek. Going to the vet is always a stresser for me as I hate to have my dogs stressed. I have to say that this was a non stresser. Also they did not keep me waiting more than 5 minutes in the room.

These guys were great. I have a difficult cat who has, let say, issues with being at the vet. They were really sweet with him even though he had to be sedated in the end. They were very good at explaining things to me & laying out the options for treatment. Great experience over all. Thank you

After a terrible experience at Value Pet Clinic, we decided to look for another clinic nearby. Firgrove Veterinary took the time to answer all of our questions, when the other clinic wouldn't return our calls. Our sweet Olive passed away before we could get her to her appointment at Firgrove. We took our angel that morning to be cremated. We received a card in the mail the following day. Thank you so much for being there for our family!

Me and my wife repeatedly take our pets here. The level of care they show our family is above and beyond. This is our veterinary of choice for life..

We lost my best friend of the last 10 years to cancer and it broke my heart! I've been a cust of firgrove off and on for the last 10 years as I've moved out of the area for a bit. This clinic truly has you and your pets best interest in mind and are very accommodating. I appreciate all they have done for me and my family and always going that extra mile!

Barber didn't have any openings, he was gracious enough to see us, and we were told to come in right away.

After our local training place closed we were looking for other options and committed to positive reinforcement training. Unfortunately a lot of trainers use aversives, especially with large strong dogs. We were so excited to find Julia, and after our meet & greet we were confident she was a good choice. Julia did a 2 week board & train with our dog while we were traveling, mainly focusing on leash skills and practicing calm behavior around exciting things. We noticed an immediate improvement, but have also been continuing to work on the training at home after our follow up. I'm happy to report that we are continuing to see improvement using Julia's methods.

Update to my review: Maizy went into her first heat in…read moreFebruary so she couldn't come that month and her package days would roll over. I didn't realize it was only for the one month and I had kept asking over and over how many days she had and never got an answer. Several times I got texts saying my dog was checked out and picked up when they had actually meant to check out a different dog and they wouldn't call me I had to text and call and leave voicemails before someone finally would tell me what happened. I used to work for a daycare and boarding facility I know dogs get dirty at daycare but there was one day in particular I asked if she could stay inside because it was raining and we had literally moved into a new apartment the night before, staff said sure no problem keeping her inside and when I picked her up she was covered in mud head to tail. Then the next time after that my aunt picked her up for me and tells me she was wet. When I noticed a $10 charge for a "rinse off" and asked what that was for I was informed it was for when they hosed down Maizy and sent her home went and smelly saying they were under the impression I didn't want her to get dirty..... mind you that was one day I asked for that. I had planned to board her here after I had my baby but when I was given a tour of the facility I couldn't be more disgusted. The putrid smell of filth when you walk in the front door slaps you, the kennel area is dark, they use black wire crates from petsmart to board your dogs in. Nothing lodge feeling about it. I did not end up boarding there. One day I went to pick her up and I could hear one of the staff members SCREAMING at a dog from my car and he was inside the building. I asked one of the other staff members who nova was when she informed me it was his dog. If he talks to his dog that way, how is he treating mine? They want you to think it's a nice clean happy facility here but it's not. It stinks, the staff doesn't listen or care one of the two, and the owner just likes to collect whatever fees she can think of that day. General disorganization. I am a groomer I didn't need to be charged $10 for a hose down and regardless before charging clients for things you should probably speak to them regarding that first. Completely disappointed with the staff here.
