It seemed reasonable so I told them to go ahead. Upon bringing him in, he was acting normally. He was alert and wagging his tail, pulling at his leash, doing all of the normal dog things he does. After being taken into the back for bloodwork for 15 minutes (which felt like way too long), he came back a different dog. He was lethargic, wouldn't stand up, could barely move his head and his gums had lost all of their color (they were white). When I asked the vet (Dr. Dill) what he did to my dog he just shrugged at me, but once he saw his gums had lost all of their color, he became visibly worried and tried giving him some oxygen. After 10 minutes of oxygen it became apparent that he was NOT responding so I grabbed my dog and rushed him to the nearest emergency vet. We spent several hours at the emergency vet while they stabilized him. Once he was stable he was still not acting right and his red blood cell count was down from where it had been when we brought him in. My dog ended up spending 24 hours in the emergency room (totaling over $3500) and is still not fully recovered. The vets at the emergency hospital do not know for sure what happened, but after running all of the tests and observing him for 24 hours, believe it was a chain of events that began due to being overly stressed and having far too much pressure applied during the blood draw that was performed at Foothills. In no world did I ever think that a simple blood draw would almost kill my dog and cost me an additional $3500, but due to the incompetence of Foothills that's how my 6/6 and 6/7 played out. I would never recommend this veterinary clinic to anyone.

The vet that did it said we were so lucky to have caught it because it was likely to burst any day and Charlie would have not survived. Then after calling the surgery center for weeks trying to get the biopsy results with no response I get an email from Dr Wolfe just checking in on Charlie and was glad to hear everything had come back benign. He saved his life and gave me peace after weeks of stress! I couldn't have asked for more! the whole staff there is amazing and I have been taking my animals there for over 20 years but this time was above and beyond! She breezed into the room and made it clear she didn't care one iota about Arwen. For some reason she saw fit to ask us a bunch of sentimental questions about Arwen even though she made it clear through her actions that she didn't care. I am so sorry I ever took my cat to Country Animal Hospital. She deserved better. If Dr Heather would care to explain herself I am pretty easy to contact. The vet techs and doctors are always so great at explaining things and transparent about costs. I can tell they genuinely care about animals. My dog was never socialized before we got him. We got him during Covid and he was (roughly) seven months old and was found in a barn in Yakima along with four other dogs. He's friendly, but always sooooo scared in social setting, especially at the vet. Timber Ridge is always so patient with him and they never make me feel bad about his social anxiety (something I've experienced at other vet clinics). On to my experience yesterday, I brought in my pup for an urgent care visit for a skin condition. I dropped him off and went home. After dinner, I looked at the clock and it was nearing closing time. I called and found out they had a vet emergency and it pushed everyone's appointment back. It was a Friday night, I'm sure the staff all had other places they would rather be, but they stayed open late, took care of the emergency, and all the pets under their care. That being said, I think we have to address what happened here with our now passed dog. Benji was ONLY 6 YEARS OLD. We took him here to have a minor surgery for a small wound from playing too hard in the yard with his brother. We were told his vitals were fine, and his surgery went well. As well as him being a very healthy boy. His wound healed very well, but he was so so sick afterwards, very quickly. We took him back 3 more times that WEEK! Telling them he was not eating, drinking, and having horrible bowel movements. Because of his anxious temperament, they just gave him anti diarrheal meds and shots. Of course, we trusted their instincts. The 3rd time (day 7/8 after surgery) we took him back, and they FINALLY did blood work and told us he had a 10% chance because of acute kidney disease, and sent us to Old Growth ER . We have talked to many, and I mean MANY people in the industry, including Old Growth ER where we had to heartbreakingly put him down the next morning. Old Growth vet team told us this was the worst case of kidney failure they have EVER seen. We requested ALL records, and believe he was extremely neglected. Our dog was so healthy, he was so full of life. Courtney, the Vet said it herself. As you can imagine, it has been so hard to understand. When we called to get some closure, they told us "sometimes, these things happen" I would give 0 stars if I could. We are still so heart broken, he passed away in May 2026. Please, PLEASE read this before trusting this clinic.

Every time I am there, I expect to wait around 20 minutes plus past your scheduled appointment time. There has also been a lot of staffing change, some of the really communicative techs who used to be there are no longer there and now they have techs who barely know how to communicate and keep you updated about the wait. I am not sure if it is an issue with the Vets getting overbooked, their system not timing how long a client is waiting, receptionists getting swamped with calls, or the Vet Techs not being properly trained on communication but I am debating on switching back to Banfield, which is over commercialized chain but at least they are communicative and prompt.

This is Performance Denistry - it's like the difference between the dentist and the orthodontist. The dentist does a nice job cleaning your teeth and fixing cavities, but the orthodontist is going to get your teeth to function properly. assist in eating, etc. Dr. Vetter worked on my 13 year old Arab mare and explained what he was doing the entire time and why. My mare holds her weight better, is more comfortable chewing and stopped fussing with the bit. It's worth the cost if you are serious about your horse as a performance animal and providing the best care. Luckily I haven't had serious dental work regarding teeth pulling, but if I do, I wouldn't hesitate to take my mare back to him. It's a little more expensive BUT you get what you pay for.
