Washington St. and the service is non existent I need to get dentures. They advise me that it would take 8 to 10 weeks tops to get a pair of dentures after pulling my teeth in November. I went in for my first follow up appointment at the 1st of January to start the process of getting my dentures. They have now canceled on me three times each time rescheduling for two weeks later. Then canceled 2 weeks and again cancelled. It is now the middle of March and I have barely started the process of them making dentures and telling me another eight weeks or more to get the dentures made. If they would've made me more aware of this process in the beginning I would have gone elsewhere or at least a second opinion. I even have talked to their director who said that they would help and they helped with getting one appointment one day earlier not 1 week 1 day. However, I am now at the mercy of gentle dental since anywhere else would take the 6 to 8 weeks, If this process would've been handled correctly, I would've been in dentures by the middle if not late February as I was told without the 3 cancellations. Now it will be an additional 6-8 weeks. I would not recommend them for any type of dental procedures that will take longer than one visit. Even then they may cancel multiple times. Find another dentist that will actually care about you and your health. I gave one star because I have to and I get oh no what could we improve. You can approve by taking accountability treating your people with respect and expediting services when you have failed your customer of things you have told them that is what you can improve.

I want my visits to the dental office to be boring, as well as the invoices from said visits. Dr. Bianco's practice at Dental Health Associates was recommended by someone who knew him as an acquaintance and had a good opinion of him. I have been to Dental Health Associates's office at least 10 times on a semiannual basis and I like being able to count on the same routine - a cleaning by the hygienist, an examination by the dentist, and x-rays every other time. Each experience has put me at ease because everyone is friendly and informal in an unscripted way. The hygienists have always honored my request for the dental scaler that operates under water pressure and then finished up and touched up with the manual instruments in addition to flossing and polishing. This feels way better to me. (I actually look forward to going to my appointments because hygienists clean your teeth in a way that the patient can't on their own.) The doctor has a lot of experience, is very easy to talk to, and, echoing what others have said, is conservative in his approach. The front office staff is quick to answer your questions and to process things. Also, the office has a pleasant physical environment - from the dental stations themselves to the waiting room. Located on S.E. 122nd Ave. south of the big Midland library and near all the auto dealerships on "Ron Tonkin Blvd.," dental practices being located here (and quite a few are) makes sense because it makes them accessible from Portland, east Portland, and East County ... and from up at the river (the Columbia River) down to North Clackamas County. There is an amply sized parking lot behind the office as well. I don't give health practitioners 5 stars (as good as it gets) because there are too many variables as well as procedures you may not have required or experienced and can't vouch for. So, for health practitioners, I view it as a maximum of 4 out of 4 stars situation and, in Yelp parlance, that means I'm a fan. Of the various driveways next to one story dental office buildings on S.E. 122nd Ave., I have found that the driveway at Dr. Bianco's Dental Health Associates has proven to be a good driveway to turn into for my dental needs.

I lost insurance a few years ago and had not been to the dentist as often as I should and as a result my teeth have had irreversible damage. Maryann emphasized the importance of regular dental care but more than anything educated me on what I can do to prevent anymore damage. She answered any and every question I had with so much compassion. I was feeling so much shame before but Maryann and everyone at Rose City Dental have eased my anxiety. I've never had such a positive experience at the dentist before and I really needed to let everyone know about Maryann!!(:

I made a new patient appointment for a routine cleaning. I was called back for x-rays 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time, and then the hygienist made it her only job to ensure that I was a thousand percent COMPLETELY AWARE that I do not have healthy gums and it would therefore be a waste of her time to do a standard cleaning. I have some serious dental anxiety (which was explicitly communicated multiple times before being seen), and I started to cry and asked if we could just do a standard one, since I'd already worked up to coming in today, and she ran out of the room saying, "I'm not comfortable with this." The dentist had already said my teeth weren't that bad, but now you want me to leave and come back AGAIN for a deep clean? No, you people double-booked your appointments and I got stuck in the crossfire. Absolutely garbage patient "care", and now I can't go anywhere else because they billed my insurance for my only covered exam this year. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had.

Rose City Smiles is two blocks from my house, and it seemed highly rated, so I called to schedule an appointment. I wasn't able to get through, so after several attempts to catch them by phone I just left my phone number and asked them to call me, which they eventually did. I thought "Wow, they must be really busy! That's a good sign!" They were really interested in my insurance info -- like REALLY interested -- but they didn't seem all that interested in what was bringing me in for a visit. My employer just changed dental insurance providers, so I had to do some sleuthing to get all the policy info they wanted, but I got it. I tried calling them to give them the information they had asked for and, AGAIN, I couldn't get a real person on the phone. I don't like leaving things like dental plan information in a recording, so I decided I'd walk over to give it to them in person since it's only two blocks away. As it happens, on two separate days, in the middle of the day, in the middle of their alleged hours of operation, there was nobody there. The building itself looked deserted and questionably maintained, the parking lot was empty, and the door was locked. Does that seem weird to you? It did to me. The glaring disconnect between that reality and the string of improbably glowing reviews reinforced my sense that there's something dodgy/sketchy/weird about this place. THEN -- and this was the last straw for me -- they texted me LESS THAN 24 hours before my appointment to cancel, claiming that the receptionist had had her wisdom teeth out. Yeah, well, fine, it's not the receptionist I really need to see; it's the dentist -- the dentist who never seems to be in the office. In any case, the combination of never being able to get anyone by phone, the deserted/abandoned appearance of their office, and having my appointment canceled LESS THAN 24 hours before I was supposed to go in (after I had taken time off work to go) has left a VERY bad taste in my mouth. This place seems like anything but a thriving practice, and I'll be going elsewhere for my dental care.
