I came in to get my eyebrows waxed, and while the appointment started off fine, things quickly took a turn. When the technician applied the wax, it felt much hotter than usual. I figured it was just me being sensitive -- but later that day, I noticed a red burn mark forming right in the middle of my face. By the next morning, it had started to scab. I called the salon the next day to let them know what happened. They said they would inform the technician who worked on me, but honestly, they didn't seem very concerned about it. There was no apology, no offer to make it right -- just a casual acknowledgment and that was it. This was not the level of care or professionalism I expected. I usually wear my nails much longer with no issues. Also the filing against my cuticle was so deep. I have never had less than a week later my nail growth be so apparent. I made a reservation for gel x and a pedicure. The lady who did my toes did an excellent job of doing all the nail prep. My toes, great! My nails on the other hand I was ping ponged to 4 different nail artists, no nail prep done. The lady did an OK job but I got these nails done on Saturday and they already look so grown out. Total experience was over 3 hours because I was waiting a while for someone who knew how to do Gel X to help me even though I booked the service in advance. First of all I called the salon before I came in and asked how much it was because normally nail salons scam you and change the price for every person so I called and I asked how much was it for acrylic and French tip. The man I spoke with said it was $55 and I said ok and came in. the whole time he was doing my nails he made me feel super uncomfortable and kept calling me baby and then when the service was done, he charged me $80 and he said that I heard wrong on the phone. They wished that the women doing their nails had been more accurate to their designs, less rushed, and overall more accommodating. Honestly, I would really like to gatekeep this spot because it has been the most consistent experience I've had. Usually when I try out a new spot I like to try out different techs to find the best fit but I was luck enough to get Anna both times. The service is quite fast and honestly I've been excited with the outcome both times. I recommend making an appointment as it does seem like they have a pretty steady stream of people coming in! Came here on a Friday at around 4pm. They close at 7 and I was expecting that I came early enough for them not to do a rush job. I still got the sense that the lady working on my nails wanted to be done with me ASAP. She barely gave eye contact or said hi to me. She did a decent job with my manicure. With my pedicure I was uncomfortable. When she was working on my biggest toe nail she said something in Vietnamese and looked at her other co workers and they all three looked at my big toe and had a semi-disgusted reaction. I came in the salon with a chipped toe nail, they were acting like I was already supposed to have perfect feet walking in. The salon environment was lively and very feminine. I had appointments for last weekend, which I made many days in advance -- for myself and a family member for mani/pedi. We came into the salon on time ... and it was packed. There were no techs available. We waited 10 minutes, and there was no change & no communication from the staff. Two walk in appointments came in while we were waiting, and the front desk girl then proceeded to the back of the salon to talk to a male employee. I was standing by the bathroom at that point, so I could overhear their conversation, and she explained to him how there were four people total who needed services. She never mentioned that two of us had appointments. The male employee replied "I'll do my best.". I went up to the front desk girl and explained the situation. Her only reply was "do you want to come back a different day?" We ended up leaving. This is so unprofessional. If you're going to run a business, customer service has to come first. If you're going to accept appointments, you need to not only acknowledge them, but also honor them. read more

Their pedicures are fine but in my experience they do not stick to estimated start times for appointments or for call ahead. Usually it is 15-20 later that they will actually take you. There are lots of places in the area, would recommend others over this one unfortunately. read more

My friend and I booked together- the lady I had would not listen when I would explain I wanted shorter nails. And then she got grumpy and manhandled my hands and seemed pissed. I wasn't too impressed with the quality of work done-the powder was way too thick and the almond shape I requested was not the best. I am beyond devastated I'm writing this review as I loved this place and everyone that works there so much. I've been going to Sean at Blue Sky for a while now and he is the best of the best. Every time I went he was always on time and did an amazing job with the exception of the last two times I've gone. I'm not sure what's going on but making clients with appointments wait over 30 minutes to be seen is not ok in any business. First incident: I brought in my best friends that just had knee surgery. We got to Blue Sky early, but we still have to wait 35 minutes to be seen after our appt time. Then in the middle of doing my nails Sean just jumps up and starts doing another ladies nails. At this point I had to say something as it was TOO MUCH!! Second incident: I brought my co-worker in with me as we had appointments at 1pm. When we got there, it was clean Sean had just started doing another ladies nails. In my head I'm thinking WTF as I assumed the first time was a one-off situation. I politely asked how long it would be to be seen as we were on our lunch hour. Needless to say we ended up leaving as it was clear that Sean had overbooked himself. To this day I've never gotten an apology, we will make it right or anything, I guess they really don't value their clients the way I thought they did. This is so disrespectful of peoples time as none of us have time to sit doing nothing for 30 minutes. But if you don't have anything better to do than pick you nose then go there as they are really good. read more

This was my first time trying them and I wish I would have stayed with previous salon. They overcharged me for a pedicure treatment when it was just a color change.
