My wife and I have been coming to Dr Gore for many years, and have consistent annual exams. He is extremely attentive and has picked up on a couple of issues between us that required referral to a retna specialist. By catching early and following through I am sure he has preserved our vision as best as could be hoped for. He is incredibly trustworthy and makes great recommendations for lens types as well. I never would not have understood how my progressive lenses would work out without his careful guidance. Rude and incompetent staff!! I set up an appointment 6 WEEKS in advance and was assured that they took my insurance. The day before the appointment they called and were snippy because I did not fill out the paperwork and was told btw that they did not take my insurance. I don't care how good a doctor is, unless there is an organ transplant involved, if the staff is nasty, I don't have room in my life for them. It is only an eye exam-- I pay less for a hair appointment or cute shoes. I would have gladly paid out of pocket but didn't want to deal with the crusty wench up front. read more

Time for an update... I went in last week for my eye exam. I knew my eyesight has recently gotten worse, so I was ready to get my eyes checked and get a stronger lens prescription. As usual, Dr. Gore and staff were personable and Dr. Gore and Jeani were authoritative and reassuring in a good way. After my initial exam, Dr. Gore applied some eye drops to dilate my eyes, then we waiting a bit before he re-tested me. Based on the results, I needed a slight stronger prescription. Jeani walked me though the process. So I've got a new pair of eyeglasses and I just dropped off my prescription polarized sunglasses to Jeani for the same lens prescription upgrade. I've gone to several different optometrists over the years without returning for a second visit. Dr. Gore has been, hands down, the BEST optometrist in the area! He really cares for you as a patient/person, he creates a connection, is very patient, and is knowledgable. You can tell he is passionate about his field. Dr. Gore was great, but his front desk staff is r-u-d-e! The lady (Jeani, I think) was great and made our daughter's first pair of specs. I was a patient there & took our daughter for her glasses, but too many instances of attitude & when you go in near closing time, forget it..they want you out! Went to this office and saw Dr. Jarvis. She was fantastic! She had great advice but didn't try to reinvent to wheel. I've had so many eye doctors try to change my contacts or eye care treatment- and I always end up back where I am. Not the case here. I definitely found my eye care home. When I called for a full eye exam, I expected I would have to wait a few weeks. They had a cancellation and were able to see me within a few days. I arrived 10 minutes early to update paperwork, and was seen right after that was completed, on time. The exam was very thorough, Dr. Gore listened well to what I was experiencing and together we came to a great solution. I ordered lenses and frames, and am looking forward to trying out my new progressive glasses. From the first visit to have my glasses adjusted I knew that I would be back for an exam. Called on a Saturday to see if they worked on Silhouette frames which require a special tool and skill set to adjust. Stopped in same day back in January about 3O minutes before closing. Jeannie took care of adjusting my glasses and taught me something about optics and lenses. Extremely knowledgeable. Everyone in the office was just so friendly and professional. You could tell the team knew their business and customer service. I was very impressed with my eye exam and Dr. Gore. He noted the retinal hole that I knew about for years but provided further information that no other doctors had mentioned. Would highly recommend this office if you need a new eye doctor or glasses. My whole family have been going to Dr. Gore for over a decade. I have absolutely no complaints about the Dr. or staff. Recently I took my handicapped father in for an eye exam. My father is wheelchair bound; the staff worked with us so my Dad could stay in his chair. My only issue is the footprint of the office is small, so moving a wheelchair around can be tricky. read more
