Well don't know about the food. Walked in. Stood around for about 10 minutes and never had anyone come sit us. So we left.

Jim's Jumbo Burger is this tiny spot on the corner and is take out only from a single window. It's only open a few hours a day and looks like it's been there, in the same exact spot since before Teddy Ruxpins existed. Exactly my kind of burger joint for lunch when on the road!!!! I grabbed a double cheese burger with bacon and jalapeños and a side of onion rings. I am team mustard so I got yellow bliss added to my buns and I asked for the lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickle be spared as I had to eat on the fly. I really wish I'd have got it tho!!! The burger didn't need it, but I would have preferred it. So this burger was so freaking good!! Patties had this beef flavor that just kicked my taste buds with a tire iron in the best way possible. Then I had bacon stop by and say hi while slapping me a jalapeño kiss . It was hard to keep my truck between the mustard and mayonnaise stripes!! This was an emotional cheeseburger experience!! My onion rings were solid and delicious but for my preference a little too greasy. I'd eat them again but would opt to try the fries if I make it back up that way again!!! Im so glad I stopped in!!! Service was great and the two folks inside were so friendly!!! They showed me what Oklahoma is all about with their kindness in taking my order and getting it out quickly!!!! Cheers y'all!!!!

They easily beat all the chains in town but they blew the other local joints out of the water as well. It's been awhile since I'd eaten there and was so looking forward to it. But after nearly $20 for a double meat and cheese accompanied with an order of cheese tots and a soda, I wish I'd went to McDonalds. I'm joking I would never go to McDonald's. But now I can say I will never go back to Jim's Jumbo Burger. The burger lacked all the elements of greatness they once held. Virtually no flavor. No juiciness and It lacked actual substance. The tots were old tasting and stale. The cheese was none existent. The meal was not worth nearly $20. Do the math on trying to feed a family of four. A $100 bucks for dry, tasteless, old food is not worth it in any economy. The service was fine, even though the wait time was a bit much for no one else being there. And again it is nothing to look at. The vibe is 1979s retro ran down. It was once a great place with great food. Now I wouldn't waste my time.

Howard is one of those Kansas towns that has seen better days. It's pretty dumpy. Toots is pretty dumpy too. It's just a squatty old building on a gravel lot with faded signs and a pretty neglected look to it. Inside there are tables to seat fifteen or so and a small counter with a cash register. Behind the cash register, the young woman didn't give much of a greeting and acted as if I should just know what I wanted. Well, I kind of did, but I still wanted to look at the menu on the wall. I ordered the pork tender sandwich and the big cheeseburger with onion rings and sweet potato fries to go--we had our dog with us and planned to eat at a picnic table around to the side. I asked if they could cut the sandwiches in half so my wife and I could share, but they didn't. Had to go back for a knife which was just and ancient table knife and had to promise to bring it back. The food was good but the flies outside were super-annoying so we didn't enjoy it as much as I hoped. Anyway, Toots was pretty much what I expected, a greasy little drive-in with classic greasy drive-in food. Pretty darn good.
