This prevents a tooth from having reoccurring issues, which is what happened with a previous dentist who spent 10 minutes on the same tooth that ended up fractured. This previous dentist also told me that i i had to have a crown and route canal on the same tooth. I got a 2nd opinion from another dentist and that dentist also told me i had to have a crown and route canal on the tooth. With my science background and research online, I was dubious about needing to have a crown and route canal. So i got a 3rd opinion from Dr. Henry and sure enough, Henry said i did not need to spend a couple of thousand dollars on unnecessary procedures. Dr. Henry performed a routine cavity and repaired the fractured tooth from the previous dentist without a crown and route canal. I saved $2000 and more importantly, I really appreciate honesty and ethical practices. I've caught many professionals including dentists, plumbers, and even doctors, contractors, Korean skin care clinics: Shiny Laser etc just looking for a bigger payday. It is rare to find a professional like Dr. Henry who works with integrity. Noone likes being ripped off as it is an awful feeling. Buyer beware. That said, I felt at ease and extremely comfortable with Dr. Henry's integrity and especially his skill set as a dentist. Prior dentists have told me they are unable to fix my tooth whereas Dr. Henry said he could fix my tooth easily. I've experienced numerous dentists in my life and Dr. Henry is by far the best in California.

He carefully reviewed my CT scan, explained every detail of my condition, and presented a treatment plan that made me feel completely confident. I never felt rushed or pressured--only that he truly cared about achieving the best long-term result for me. Because I had significant bone loss in my upper jaw, I underwent a sinus lift along with four dental implants. The entire procedure was performed with exceptional care and precision. It had started hurting and no longer fit very well. Around the same time, I had also had a tooth removed, so that missing tooth is now being addressed with an implant. So far, I've been really happy with Dr. Nam. He replaced the old crown with a newer material that looks much more natural, and the tooth no longer hurts. I can finally chew comfortably on that side again. The implant is still in progress because I need to give the bone time to harden before the next step. I'll update my review once that's completed, but I wanted to share my experience so far. None of the work I've had done has been painful. Even the numbing shots, which I always hated with my previous dentist, were surprisingly painless. I'm not a dental expert, but the office also seems to have very modern equipment, and Dr. Nam and his staff have been efficient and accommodating. I was actually about 30 minutes late to my appointment on a Saturday, and they still took the time to see me even though there were already other patients waiting. I appreciate Dr. Nam and everyone at ID Dental for helping me finally take care of something that had been bothering me for a long time.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT come here…read more My experience with this dentist completely destroyed my confidence in him. During my root canal, he gave me a local anesthetic injection and immediately began trying to work before I was numb. I stopped him because I could still feel what he was doing. He gave me another injection and then immediately tried to continue again, with essentially no time for that injection to take effect. I had to stop him a second time. He gave me yet another injection and only after that did the first injection take effect and the procedure became tolerable. In my experience, he was also very rough during cleanings and seemed impatient when I expressed pain or asked him to be gentler. I never returned after the root canal and would not trust him with my dental care again.
