Went with my partner while searching for dentists that we can go to regularly for bi-annual cleanings. Like another review said, I do not know where all these 5 stars come from. The cleaning was terrible, lasted just about 5 minutes, with the dentist rotating around 3 people at once using fewer tools. And we bled A LOT. We were used to bleeding with other dentists during our first few teeth cleanings, but this was so much more. The bloody tastes in our mouth persisted even when we got back home. Our teeth were so sensitive, and we didn't feel like they were cleaned at all. So after the procedure, the front desk ahjumma asks when I want the appointment to get braces. The dentist had spoken one sentence to me during that time that I barely heard and nothing more. But I knew for a long time that my teeth were crooked, yet I hadn't had cavities in years. I asked how much it would cost without insurance (because at that time, I had just gotten a personal insurance and the perks hadn't kicked in). She said it would be around $5000. I straight up told her I didn't have the money (I was a full-time student with no income), and that I might consider it in the coming year. And guess what? She looked at me like I was unbelievable, the dentist came in and looked at me the same way. Both of them kept pushing for an appointment to get braces EVEN THOUGH I SAID I DIDN'T HAVE THAT MUCH MONEY TO SPARE. I hate pushy dentists, and I hate it even more when they do not have empathy and are so greedy they want to upsell. Plus, they charged $30 to email the X-rays per person (when I've already paid for the actual X-ray). These 5 star reviews must be bought because I had a terrible experience here. I feel scammed, cheated. I went to a different dentist this week and they said the 2 root canals/crowns I had done at YE dental office look super old.. YE only serviced me last year. I told them I don't want metals yet he did it anyway.. They randomly told me I needed a new cavity fill in one of my teeth on a day that I was supposed to just have my crown checked.. I had no pain in that tooth.. that filling has since fallen off in less than a year.. I requested my X-rays be put on a flash drive but they did not want to. I will be reporting this dental place to the board of dentistry for malpractice. Never coming back and would not recommend. read more

He explained to me that I would eventually need a crown in the future for a troublesome tooth, but did not push me to have it done immediately as other dentists might have done simply to make money. I have been going to this dental for more than a year... I personally find it the best dentist i have ever been to in koreatown. First i had to do a complex implant because it was cracked from being hit on my face. Moreover, from my injury my jaw bones would constantly get dislocated if i open my mouth too much. However, the dentist was able to finish the operation within 20min (it was primarily 1~2hr operation) without dislocating my jaws and in a timely matter. The assistants are very kind and takes care of all the patients. The price is reasonable, there are plenty of free parking in the mall, and a very skilled/honest dentist. The location is in the corner of the building but let the skill do the talking! I highly recommend this place!!! My whole family comes here now :) read more

My teeth aren't as healthy as others naturally thus I had so many people recommend me to try different dentist offices. Last dentist i went to and worked with totally wasted large sum of money and numerous inefficient trips. All they want is money to pay off their debts and they honestly dont care about you and tell you that their procedures went well but it's all on you for making it a certain way. That's how my previous dentists were like. I couldnt trust anymore dentists. Dr Joo was different. I was introduced to him by my uncle and i even recommended few of my colleagues as well. He was so quick with his procedures to a point where I was doubtful. I hate making more than one trips like most dentists do- check- xray- check- procedure1,2,3...but all my trips here i never waited, and spent less than four times i would anywhere else. Him and his team makes sure you get the best bang of your insurance and even plans out your payments. I had to redo my root canals and implant because of previous bootleggers but Dr Joo fixed most of it. Im actually still in the process but this review is after my 8th visit (thats how weak my teeth are) with this dentist and it's probably the only one in Ktown i would recommend. read more

This is the best dentist in LA. I have trouble with dental work. I had an injury to my mouth as a young man. A total of 20 stitches were needed. In addition as a child in the UK they didn't use anesthesia of any kind. This has left me with great trepidation of any dental work. It was a pleasant surprise to find such great and attentive doctor in Los Angeles. Now I'm not saying there aren't any, I'm just happy to have found someone on my, the out-of-towner's first try. My mom needed a few invasive dental work done and heard so many good things of this doc so we decided to go to Ye Dental Clinic. Although I was still quite skeptical of things as the outer exterior of his office building was looking quite bleak, yet his office inside had contemporary design and well kept. He not only thoroughly explain the procedure, he was very friendly as well. Procedure ran smoothly and we got out of there 1 hour later. I can confidently say that I trust this doctor enough to fully hand over my dental needs.
