Got my wisdom teeth removed and it was completely paInless, my 7 year old daughter had local anesthesia(shot) when they removed a molar and she didn't even bat an eye. He's that good. I have never had to pay $1 out of pocket, my insurance has covered it. He never tries to sell you unnecessary treatments ( like those $100 deep cleanings other places try to push on you, even when you have insurance). WOW I don't think I've had a more pleasant experience at a dentist! Or even at any medical facility. I had my upper wisdom teeth removed here, and it was virtually painless-- it's totally awesome because I remember my lower ones removed elsewhere being very painful, even with the anesthetic. Dr Kim is great. He's friendly, informative, encouraging and really takes time out for each patient. He's so genuine in his kindness and care that I wished he was my dad . No offense Dad. I'm not adding anything new to what these prior reviews don't already say, but I just want to echo their sentiments - Dr. Kim is wonderful, probably the best/friendliest dentist I have ever had (I've gone through quite a few as I can't seem to stay put in one city for more than a few years at a time..) He takes the time to make you feel comfortable and explain in plain words what's going on with your teeth, and will point out problem/potential problem areas with complete candor, ie not trying to sell you on every single preventative procedure or filling when in reality half of them are unnecessary. Plus, both he and his staff are really great and accommodating about helping you get the most out of your dental plan benefits. Major, major plus points for that! read more

Giving 5 stars ain't enough for Dr. Kim!!!!! that's how hhhamazin Dr. Kim is~! I have never EVER thought I'd say this, but he's so good that I actually look forward to going and getting some procedure done! Small or big, Dr. Kim explains thoroughly as to what he's doing in layman's terms. I am a cash paying client and I know that he seems a bit pricey but because they utilize great quality materials and Dr. Kim makes any procedure painless, I don't mind it at all- if anything I am stoked I have finally found an amazing dentist!!! read more

This review is so long in coming, but worth it because I have been a patient of Dr. Kim for 12 years. No one, but no one, IMHO is better than Dr. Scott Kim at Dentistry in the Los Angeles area. His Staff is a group of the most caring and knowledgeable collective of professionals working in this field today. Many of his staff have been with him for years and years. His office is so clean, you literally could eat off the floor. He uses the most up to date technologies in his practice, his office is open on Saturdays and they are very reasonably priced for even people without insurance and just need an emergency tooth repair or filling. I could go into lengthy history of what Dr. Kim and his staff has done for me that I personally know, but it is better for you to go there and experience this Master-marvel of this profession yourself. Dr. Kim is one particular reason why I have never chosen to move to another state when offered a job because I am literally worried to not ever find a Dentist of his high caliber. He also surrounds himself with additional professionals (Endodontist and maxillofacial) who are just as top notch. You truly cannot find anyone better. One small example - I was referred by Dr, Kim to his Endo and Maxillo counterparts for wisdom teeth removal and root canal with crown. The wisdom teeth (all 4) were removed in less than 20 minutes with a special procedure and the root canal, I literally, laughed all the way through it with the Endodontist's hands in my mouth. (Both painless and healed in less than 1 week.) When Dr. Kim retires, and I truly hope it is not anytime soon, this area will lose someone who is dedicated to a point of having a passionate view of providing this service. I joked with Dr. Kim once, I said, "Dr. Kim, you know you're the best Dentist in all of Los Angeles,.." He laughed and was being modest and said .. "No.." then he said.. " Well, it is kinda funny, I have had some folks work for me, then move across town and go to work for someone else, but they usually come back to my office for dental treatments with their families." Very clean, nice office. Plenty of parking out back. They have this machine that takes a full x-ray of your teeth so I didn't have to bother with clamping down on a dozen pieces of sharp plastic. My entire check up took less than an hour. I had gone to another dentist about a month earlier who claimed I had two cavities. The other dentist wanted to charge me $200 a piece for the fillings. Furthermore, he claimed that my insurance would not cover the procedure. I then, went to Dr. Kim's office for a cleaning (the previous doctor did not include a cleaning in the check up). Dr. Kim informed me that I did not have any cavities. I had "minor decalcification" which would eventually correct itself over time given proper care. He was very informative and he did not try to push any unnecessary procedures on me. My wisdom teeth are starting to come in. While Dr. Kim said it is not urgent, I should consider an extraction in the future. I indicated that I would like to have my wisdom teeth extracted as soon as possible. He and his staff worked with me to find a reputable oral surgeon that would work with my insurance. Everyone in the office was very helpful and friendly. I will recommend Dr. Kim to all my friends in the future. read more

I have been a patient at Beverly Dental since they were a one chair, one dentist office. I've had many bouts with different dental issues and have never been disappointed in the care that I or my children received from this group. My daughter, now 27, has been a fan of Dr. Kims' since he called her a princess at age 5. She is the only person I know that gets excited whenever she goes to her appointment. When my son was 3 years old, now he's 25, Dr Kim referred him to a childrens dentist. After a year going to that dentist, my son was able to see Dr. Kim, and has been going ever since, without clamping his mouth shut. Being newly retired from the health field, I can't imagine going anywhere else. I have also, never had a problem with the front desk staff. On many occasions, I have been running late, called in, and was told to come in anyway. I am sold out to this group. They are the best, in my opinion. read more

I am extremely picky when it comes to my teeth. I already have anxiety about moving and not being close to Dr. Scott Kim!! If I am still anywhere near L.A you bet I'll be trekking across town because I don't trust anyone else! I've seen two different dentists since moving to L.A. One in Redondo Beach the other in Manhattan Beach. I have A PPO plan and they both SUCKED. Dr. Scott Kim + his entire staff all are so talented. best service, extremely knowledge and super nice!!! Also- I got my bottom row re-align because I was silly and was being lazy and forgot to wear my retainers. Dr.Lee fixed me up in less than 6 months! Someone get me an agent for CREST!!! read more

Fantastic dentist! I am a real denta-phobe and Dr. Kim is very kind and gentle, and explains everything. I needed to find someone to do a restorative crown for a dental implant started by another dentist and was referred to him. His office is top notch - I've never waited more than five minutes, they are completely organized and do everything efficiently (another dentist I went to had me sitting in the chair for almost a half hour while they called my insurance company). He is very good at preparing you for what he will be doing, and answers all your questions. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist. read more
