I brought my mother in for some well overdue work. She has had bad experiences in the past due to curled roots in her molars. When we came in she was taken back but how far the industry has come. It's been decades since she's been to a dentist. Their equipment gave us live action feed of her mouth and can show us the work that needed to be done. The first appointment was able to sit with her and calm her down cause it was just a cleaning. Their staff is very kind and when I couldn't stay with her someone would take my place. I also appreciated some of the staff able to speak Spanish and noticed I was calming her down in Spanish which was both unexpected and comforting. First appointment here and even though it is a korean dentist in ktown, they were able to accommodate me and my broken korean and/or English. Nurses, receptionists were nice, and the dentist was knowledgable. Came here for a teeth cleaning and some concerns with my gums and they were able to provide good service and advice. read more

Horrible customer service. I called 3 weeks ago so they can see my daughter because she had bleeding gums and they told me I needed to see a Pediatric dentist. (I have an HMO so I need a referral from them for my daughter to go see a Pediatric dentist) I provided them all the information of the pediatric doctor the same day and 3 weeks later I am still waiting for the referral. I have even called multiple times and they always say they are going to send it and they never do. read more

This is by far the worst customer service I have yet to receive in any trade. Waited an hour to be seen for a procedure that I am not even sure he is capable of doing (broken veneer) first of all. I had made an appointment since he was my HMO dentist and it was an emergency. I had explained to the receptionist when I had made an appointment that it was for a broken veneer. When I went in for an appointment the receptionist had mentioned she has never seen anyone get any veneer work done here since she started working. I figured I would just do a temporary fix since this guy was my primary dentist and go to another cosmetic dentistry. I waited an hour to be seen and this guy comes in tells me to open my mouth. I was explaining to him that my veneer had chipped off and I had popped it back it in its place. Then he asks me are you aware your veneer chipped? I am thinking what..? Am I aware? After I just told him it chipped off and I popped it back in its place...? Sitting there puzzled with my mouth open I reminded him again. Then he goes, don't talk I know what i am looking at and you are not understanding my point. Huh..? What..? What point are you trying to make? I am providing an answer to your stupid question. Then he proceeded to poke it and tells me its in place and if he messes with it it would make it look worse. Ok, so I waited an hour and treated poorly with so much unnecessary attitude, still with the same condition I walked in here with. So, based on my 5 minute with this dentist I have realized no one would choose to come here if it was not for their HMO insurance. I definitely will NEVER come here again, not because the outdated equipment or the facility but because of the dentist himself. read more

First appt was fine and they said I needed 2 root canals and 2 caps. Then I made appt for teeth cleaning. Worst teeth cleaning ever. It lasted 15 minutes and I had to go to another dentist to get a good teeth cleaning. That other dentist said I didn't need any root canals just a replacement cap. They said what they saw in my tooth was not an infection but my sinus. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone! read more

I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Abedian when I was visiting Pasadena. From front desk to chairside I could not have received better dental care anywhere! Dr. Abedian is an absolute delight and an amazing dentist. She very patiently explained what course of treament would best resolve my dental issue. I wasn't going to write this review but saw another review below that described the same situation my mother was put in and I felt such anger. This is my warning: MAKE SURE you know what you're paying BEFORE work gets started on your teeth. They assured my mother her insurance would cover all of the work needed to be done without even checking her insurance card (when she even asked to show it to them). Fully covered and FREE. My mother would have to be either senile or deaf to not understand the word FREE. As she is walking out of her first appointment, work already started on her tooth, they then ask to see her insurance card and proceed to tell her that her insurance is not in effect yet. How unprofessional (and fraudulent?). Long story short, she makes another appointment one month later (because that was when her insurance would take effect), is about to get work started, to find out that the rest of the work to be done has a co-pay of over $500. Really? Why did she even wait a month, having difficulty eating with one missing tooth, to find out she's paying almost everything? She could've gone somewhere else?? Well, my mother isn't stupid. Dr. Park is gentle with the dental work he does, professional, and highly experienced. He's been my go-to dentist since high school and I've never wanted to switch practitioners. Most of the major works are done by him so the dental history built here makes him consistent and trustable. Also because we're talking LA, I have to mention that the parking situation is nice and convenient. It's either ground level or you can park underground. I've never had to park underground because there's not much else at this plaza. Truly hope you find a good dentist/dental practice!! read more

We only chose to check out this dentist because of our HMO insurance and close to our house. It was a big mistake coming here for the following reasons: 1. We made an appointment almost 2 months ago for this date and time. Not sure if there were walk-in patients that day, but the doctor mentioned "Can you come back because we're too busy right now?" 2. Aren't licensed dental hygienist suppose to clean your teeth? I would give 10 stars if it's possible. By far the best skilled, kindest, cheapest dentist I've ever met. Cost: about half price comparing to the other dentists. But then again, this is most of the korean dental clinics' tendency. Skill: Doctor is very well experienced. I heard that he once was a prof of a dental school. That explains why he exlplains every detail to his clients, which for me was very nice. I got my severely decayed tooth extracted this morning and there was zero pain. I mean zero. Took him like 10 mins to neatly pull out the tooth. Nice work, Doc! Etc.: Everyone in the clinic was so, so kind and nice. i was so freaked out by the idea of tooth extraction and my hands were shaking like crazy. They really tried to calm me down and without any pain it' done! Whoa * caution to the English/spanish speakers, or basically any non-korean speakers: There might be language barriers. It seemed like the nurse speaks English(somewhat fluent), however I don't know whether the Doc speaks English fluently. However they have some sort of brochure that explains every process that needed to be explained in English version, so that might be helpful. read more

Part of my filling fell out, so I frantically searched on Yelp for a dentist near my work and happened to come across Elite Dental. I was able to make an appointment for the next day. The facility was very clean and well kept. The receptionist was friendly and Dr. Park made sure to be as informative as possible. Because I hadn't gone to see a dentist in over a year, I also had a cleaning done as well as an x-ray examination. I was in and out of there within an hour or so. Anyone who knows me knows that I DON'T do dentists. I ended up with two broken teeth after chomping down on something terribly hard, maybe a rock, and had no choice but to go to the damn dentist. I was dreading the crap out of it. After talking with a good friend at work, she highly recommended Dr. Park. So, I bit the bullet, as it were, and made an appointment. I explained my irrational fears and Dr. Park actually listened! He could see that I was literally crawling out of my skin and he actually gave a damn! I usually hate going to the dentist as many of you but the ambience of this place and gentleness of Dr.Park makes me feel comfortable. My experience here at Elite was like WOW because I have never seen the machine that takes 360 degree X-rays of my teeth! I could tell Dr.Park is very detail oriented because he made me realize something I never knew of thought of. I don't really go to the dentist, as it is with all korean people, until my teeth are bleeding from its core and hanging on to my gums for dear life. That said, I came to this place with a recommendation from a family friend. I like this place because has a really clean and and welcoming interior. The receptionists/dental assistants are really friendly and kind, and try to calm you down when you start getting really freaked out about all the novacain and drills. I also liked that this dentist was genuinely not trying to rip me off. He told me we can take the treatment slowly as so I don't have to pay in bulk (Unfortunately, I have no insurance). Aweful practice. Highly recommend looking into other and more capable dentists in the area. Walked in with an appointment looking to receive treatment, and was confronted by ignorance and utter lack of respect. Arrived on time, but was left waiting over an hour and eventually seen after 3 others that arrived after me were seen first. When asked, the receptionist gave me an attitude and stated that those 3 needed urgent care, which didn't appear to be the case. When i walked in, it seemed like they were just getting a routine cleaning. The dentist, Woo Sung didn't seem to care or apologize when asked either. Dental business primarily targeting Koreans. Went there for checkup and scaling followed by repair. Somewhat below avg cleaning experience provided by dental hygienist. This comparison is done after visits to multiple dental providers in multiple states including NY, NJ, and other locations in CA. Regarding repair, they state that it's covered by insurance. After the repair, it is not covered by insurance. LOL. Is this guy fraud? Reminded me of auto mechanics. Needless to say, I wouldn't go there again. Adios. read more

This review is long overdue, but here it goes: I actually live in Hawaii now, but I have been going to Elite Dental clinic for several years now. I make frequent trips to LA, so I didn't even bother looking for another dentist here in Hawaii because I don't trust anyone else. I have always been picky about my dentist because I've had many horrible experiences in the past, but I've found my place! My first experience here was to get my wisdom tooth pulled. For the first three, I had gone to another dentist and was traumatized at how they tried to extract one of my half impacted teeth. My last wisdom tooth was completely under my gums, so i didn't want to take the risk with my previous dentist so I started looking for another one and got recommended to Dr. Park at Elite Dental Clinic. I was impressed immediately because the waiting room was SO CLEAN! The receptionists were extremely friendly and made me feel comfortable right away. I didn't even have to wait long to see Dr. Park. When I went in to get my tooth extracted, I was so nervous because I HATE needles and dental procedures! But the Dr. made me feel at ease even by just the way he talks. He is also really thorough and intentional about explaining each step. BTW, all of the machines they use are so advanced, the rooms are bright, and super clean. Moving on, when he was putting in the anesthesia to numb my mouth, he did it in a way where I could barely feel the needle. and then I don't know what happened, but my tooth was out in less than 5 minutes. I was so shocked. I didn't feel a thing! He didn't crack my tooth like my other dentist had to do, and I didn't even feel him cut my gums open. On top of that, I did not swell at all afterward. Every time I have a visit for any procedure, the experience is thorough and 100% positive. Dr. Park is passionate about what he does and you can really tell. They are so good at following up afterward too, and you can tell they really care about each of their patients. After that experience, I began to refer him to my friends. One of my friends went to see him and found out that her insurance didn't cover what she needed to do, but Dr. Park was so kind and told her that he couldn't just send her off without doing anything, so he gave her a cleaning! Since then, I've only come to Elite Dental Clinic. Since my first visit, they moved to an even better location. You have to park in the back and take the elevator up. The fruit stand that is in the parking lot downstairs is also a major plus! Again, I recommend Elite Dental Clinic to anyone and everyone who asks. You won't be disappointed! read more

I have recently been treated at this clinic for the tooth implantation procedure (two of them in fact) and I came away with the most pleasant experience. By that Imean the following (1) I have a low threshhold of pain and thus was apprehensive of this procedure when I underwent this but I did not feel a pain in any degree; (2) I did not experience any negative side-effect of any kind aftermath of the procedure. I will be going there again for the fitting procedure (the third stage) of the whole program with pleasant anticipation. Dr. Park is highly skilled with an exquisite ad sensitive hand that take a good care of every aspect of the surgycal process. he is emphathetic as well as caring. He has a professional degree as well as an academic degree with which he keeps up with the most contemporary technical information/knowledge of his field. I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in getting a quality medical treatment from a dentist who does not cut corners, yet does not charge an patient for his service with an exorbitant medical bill. I take the trip to Los Angeles from Kansas City for his excellent treatment. Last time when I visited the elite dental clinic, I also had the scaling done and it was the best sacling that I had ever done--clean and my mouth felt really clean and fresh--that was not the experience that i ad before.
