9 YEARS AS A LOYAL CUSTOMER! I came in yesterday for an oil change and was informed that my car also needed an alignment, which I agreed to have completed. Shy, the Advisor, also checked my tire sensors, but that information was never communicated to me or my boyfriend. The GM multi-point inspection form shows tread depth was checked and the tire pressure monitor was reset, yet there were no notations on my front or back tires. Despite that, I was immediately told about my brakes needing replacement, with a $1,000 quote. Less than 24 hours later, my tire pressure monitoring system stopped detecting my tire pressure. I had no issues before this visit. Only afterward was I told that Shy had already seen this problem the day before but chose not to mention it. That lack of transparency is unacceptable, and I feel my vehicle was returned to me in worse condition than before I brought it in. I have been a loyal customer since 2016. Even then I had issues, but I continued to give your dealership my business. To still be treated as though I don't know what I'm talking about after all these years is insulting. Shy's explanation about how a machine fills tires until a horn beeps was dismissive and unnecessary--I did not ask how it was done, because I am fully aware. I also did not ask for a cost estimate of $200-$250 to replace sensors. What I expect is honesty, accountability, and respect, none of which I received. Meanwhile, your team has no problem constantly contacting me about trading in my vehicle, but when it comes to actual service and communication, the experience has been careless and frustrating. I bought a vehicle from David Stanley Chevrolet in mid-March. Three weeks later, I started having issues. At first, I thought it might just be a glitch. Another 2-3 weeks later, the check engine light came on. I figured no problem -- I had purchased an extended warranty. I took the car to the dealership for the make of vehicle I bought (NOT David Stanley Chevrolet) and explained the issues to their service advisor. I gave them my extended warranty information and thought I was covered. I was wrong. Not a single one of the items my car needed was covered. When I called the warranty company, they told me it was because I was "one tier" below the coverage level needed for those repairs. By this time, I had owned the car for less than two months. The service advisor told me the repairs would cost over $7,200. I understand that used cars need maintenance, but this was outrageous. What's the point of paying for an extended warranty if it doesn't cover anything? Between these repairs and other basic maintenance that had clearly been neglected before the sale, I have spent close to $9,000 in less than two months just to get this vehicle in working order. Yesterday, I contacted David Stanley Chevrolet to see if they could trade me out of the car. I spoke with the salesman who sold it to me, and he said the GM told him to "get me in" and they'd take care of me. I went in hoping for real help. Their "solution"? They could trade me out of the car -- but only if I came up with another $5,000-$10,000 down. So let's get this straight: I bought a car with major issues, spent nearly $9,000 fixing it, and now to get out of it I'd have to pay them thousands more. How does that make any sense? The service department at David Stanley Chevrolet off of I-240 and Western is terrible. I have had a truck with them since 2015. The first one I had almost every time I would bring my truck in there would be one problem or another. The problems would range from the extreme amount of wait time to to actual lack of knowledge by there mechanics. Read my other review for examples. Well here I am again today with my second truck I got from them getting my "tires for life". I had an 8:00am appointment and it is now 10:00am and still waiting for them to replace all four tires. Their tires for life is not actually tires for life. They give you a $1000 allowance towards a set of tires. I had to pay $188. Still a bargain for a set of tires but their advertising is misleading. I don't believe I will buy another vehicle from them. The only reason why I stay now is my service representative Bob White. He has been my advocate during all of the trying times with the poor service I have received over the years. Things had been looking up as of late except they no longer have loaner vehicles. I said okay, paid for it, and took the part for installation. It was the wrong part. So, I returned to Daivd Stanley parts department and told them this was not what I needed and could I please get my money back. The person behind the counter said no. They couldn't or wouldn't give me a refund. This occurred in one day. No overnight delay in returning the part. I found it wasnt' the right part and took it back the same day. Maybe you should review the story about the waitress who didn't give the customer extra pickles -- the owner didn't fire her but made a point to explain a pickles costs mere pennies; however the negativity will effect the restaurant for years to come. Had my 2SS CAMARO in wasn't stating knew for fact already it was the starter, David Stanley said no it's nothing wrong it just starts slow. I ask them to do a full diagnostics they refused and wouldn't refund my money. CAMARO won't start again 20 minutes later after leaving had to call another tow truck. Brought it back to David, they said it's not your starter it's your crank sensor, I told they my starter is melted I can smell it literally it's obviously please replace my starter. They take my car in for 3 days about and tells me it's going to cost me about 1400 to fix it's your crank shaft. I take my car and leave but now there's a new noise very obvious and loud never heard this before AND MY AUTOMATIC DASH CAMERA is now NOT WORKING!!! IT RECORDS EVERYTHING on start!!! I take my car to South Side Garage and tell them what had occurred. South side did a real diagnostic snd found my starter was melted and somehow my crank sensor and a pigtail wire was loose not put back in properly also plus the new problem of the magma ride is now broken on the left side only which is unheard of is another $2,500 . South Side felt bad that this has happened and fixed my car almost free! The amount for both problems came to about $2,500 plus the new problem of the magma ride is now broken on the left side only which is unheard of is another $2,500 so all together $5,000. I'm telling you like this they broke all of it from an initial oil change. It's a big scheme. STAY AWAY TRUST THE BAD REVIEWS. Told him where my credit was and where I stood as far as payments. Swore that we would get where I needed to be or less. With reservation at first then he convinced me it would work. Drove the four hours one way and got there and was shown the suburban we were interested in purchasing. It wasn't detailed at all. Looked pat all that and started the buying process. After 3 hour of back and forth and the payment higher then what was expected we came to an agreement and signed the paper with the agreed upon deal. Worst dealership I have ever seen. If your car breaks down they will clear the codes and keep it for 3 days so you are stuck with paying for the shit vehicle. I hope they get shut down forever. 0 star rating scam artist should be the name of the dealership. read more
