I called their (garage) warranty department and was able to get my car in the next day. They fixed the clutches in the transmission and they gave me a car to drive!!! The absolutely DOWN side to the company is that they don't inspect the auctioned cars they put on their lots. The repairs they do are very minor to get the cars moved off their lot. You will pay $5,000 more than the car is worth. If you are late that interest is added to the back of the loan to keep you even further in debt. Your payments are due every two weeks. And yes, you are late one day after the payment is due. Unprofessional customer service representatives. The absolutely worse about the company, if you go into hard times like lost of a job or unexpected fees to pay, there is no payment arrangements or to delay your payment even for two weeks. If there was a negative star to give, this place would receive multiple negative stars. I bought a vehicle from them 6 years ago. Made on-time payments every month and even early at times. One day while I was at work, the vehicle was hit, ripping off the front bumper. I called the insurance then express credit auto to inform them of what happen. Express credit auto told me we will wait to see what the insurance says. My insurance told me to get it to a body shop for a quote. I called express credit auto to inform them. They said ok they would make note of it. The next morning the vehicle was shut off. I called express credit auto to see the issue. They stated, I defaulted on payment in which the payment wasn't due for another week. 2 days later the vehicle was repossessed. Fast forward 6 years later, I get a certified letter stating that auto advantage finance filed a lawsuit against me for the vehicle, stating on the suit that I still possess the vehicle and now they have garnish my wages. Do not waste your time nor money on this excuse for a company. In November of 2021 my boyfriend and I had purchased a car from the I-240 location. Despite the appalling interest rate of 20% everything was perfectly fine, including the customer service. Earlier this month (01/22) I refinanced my car for a better interest rate. Express Credit Auto had been completely payed off by my bank. On Friday as I was getting off of work my car would not start. They had activated the kill switch on the VLM system in my car. I was aware that the V system needs to be removed upon pay off; however there is no time limit listed to do so. I also work M-F 9-5 so getting to the warranty depart is incredibly difficult. No where in the terms and conditions signed does it state they may activate the kill switch after the car has been payed off. I had to tow my car home that night, which came to a $175 tow bill. They refused to pay the tow bill because of the "terms and conditions" ;however, the terms and conditions only states that "they are not responsible for a tow bill in conjunction with a warranty repair". This is not a warranty repair issue but a very clear mistake on their part. This issue needs to be resolved. read more
