I switched to Dr. Waldman because my previous Allergist was hardly available because he was always out of the country. My asthma was getting worse so I did some research and came across Dr Waldman. He had so much experience and accreditation under his belt that I was felt confident he could help me. The consultation determined that they retest me for allergies. After my tests (which were seperate appointments), I sat in with the doctor and he went over my medical history and test in detail. He literally has a WALL of certifications and is a well of knowledge. He knows the Coachella Valley, how the environment affects allergies and how to manage it. I believe Dr Waldman also manages the valleys pollen count. Anyhow, I get my injections weekly. He gave me a tip on taking my cingular and claritin at the same time and that little tweek has made a world of a difference for me!!! Theyre whole staff is great! Very personable and friendly. Very knowledgeable. OH and Covid is definitely serious business to them. Social distancing , masks , sanitizing, temp checks... All that. I mean they even have a little thingamabonbber that they put the sign in pen through to santize it after each use! Highly recommend Dr. Waldman. He is a private practice and is local to the valley. Dr Waldman is operating off outdated medical (allergist) practices. He uses a scratch test without documenting test and control protocols for allergies that other modern practices are using in the area. There is no electronic medical records in this practice, and his penmanship leaves room for errors when attempting to read and decipher his documented medical findings and justification for his proposed medical management. Such practices in medicine were phased out over a decade ago. He uses a generic one size fits all serum for people at 4 different strengths that are not custom titrated to the levels needed by each individual, so you may develop adverse effects, such as papules (rash), etc. They're using needles that cause bruising, even these can be given sublingual. He is also very old (misogynistic/patriarchal), cuts you off while attempting to answer questions, disheveled clothing, his training is outdated, his staff are quite miserable, and his office is dingy. He does not follow up on serious allergic reactions that occur after you leave the practice and return home. His follow up occurs 6mos after the initial consultation, that's irresponsible, and puts it on the staff to implement titration changes without discussing it with the patient first, leaving it up to dealing with his staff, which is outside their scope of practice and shouldn't be done. Do yourself a favor and find a bonafide board certified modern trained allergist at Eisenhower Hospital who is on staff at Eisenhower and who individualizes your therapy with custom serum immunotherapy. I was a patient of Doctor Waldman for around ten years. I can not say enough good things about him. I never had much long term luck with allergists or dermatologists. Dr. Waldman has an approach that identifies what You are allergic to, and medications to minimize the problem. He doesn't, keep switching your medications. read more

I never feel rushed when I have questions and he truly goes above and beyond to help his patients. The front staff is more worried about what they want for lunch than who is in waiting room. I signed in and waited for a half hour then asked how far they were behind. They didn't even know who I was. It was like they lost my chart and I was in there the day before. The woman giving shots forgot about 2 patients and skipped over them. Those two patients had to remind her they were waiting. Then I finally got to meet Dr. Waldman ( for 1 minute)who answered my questions like I was an idiot. He spoke down to me and dismissed me. I have a Ph. D. I can read and understand big words. The answers he gave me were dismissive. I don't think he cares about his patients. Unfortunately, there aren't many to choose from here in the desert so we are stuck with sub-par. read more

I moved here from Lake Tahoe three years ago in February. It was winter there and coming to this area I began to have severe allergy issues. If I could give Dr. Waldman 1, 000 stars on Yelp I would! He is a compassionate, caring physician who only wants his patients to breathe easier, thus, live better. He offers free allergy screenings for kids at least once or twice a year which is a great service to our community.
