They repaired a cracked flue, repaired cracks in the crown, cleaned the stainless liner, put on a brand new stainless rain cap, and inspected the chimney - all for $600. They even drive a jacked-up Cadillac hearse, which is awesome. I would highly recommend this outfit.

I hired Bob and Jerry to fix a leak in my roof…read more Jerry pulled some siding loose and told me that the roofers who built the house didn't install flashing. Halfway through the job, Jerry admitted that flashing had been installed, but he said it wasn't large enough. I trusted Bob to fix the leak because he said they guarantee to fix it. I paid 10X the value for the work they did, and they didn't fix the leak, so I called Bob to fix it. Although he was on the job with Jerry, he blamed Jerry and said he would have him contact me. Jerry didn't contact me unless an insult left on my voice mail was from Jerry. When I called the number back, the guy's response was "Jerry, there's no Jerry". I called Bob's office and left a message with Pamela's voice mail, but she didn't respond. I rented scaffold, and did the job myself. I found Jerry had ripped off my vinyl siding, tore the nail slots loose, and made it impossible to nail the siding back onto the studs. So he nailed the siding to the foam insulation board. I found eight rows of siding pulled away from the wall with a slight tug. I also found that Jerry apparently doesn't understand how to install step flashing. He installed the step flashing under all of the shingles instead of putting it on top of the upper part of the shingle to drain on top of the lower shingle. I had to install three new pieces of roof sheathing, two new pieces of wall sheathing, all new step flashing, eight rows of new vinyl siding, and three squares of new shingles. Hiring Bob's Fireplace is the worst ripoff I have ever experienced. I would not trust this outfit for the time of day. Stay away from this dishonest business!

He said they couldn't get that part but if I got it let him know and he would fix it. He left, shortly after I got a headache and went upstairs to lay down. When I woke up I could smell propane. I went downstairs and it was extremely hot, I ran into the fireplace room and it was on full blast. I opened the door with the wooden handle but had to use my shoe to open the inside doors and remembered there was a manual off switch. I called the company very upset and asked the guy who answered how to turn the propane off, he told me what to do. I said you would think that since it wouldn't work he would have turned off the propane, the man said yea you think. My husband called because we paid $130 for this guy to almost burn our house down. A lady he spoke to fed him some junk about most homeowners want the gas left on, COME ON IF IT DIDN'T WORK WHY LEAVE IT ON!

As a former chef and someone who creates food videos for my YouTube channel, I'm always searching for hidden diners, cafés, and bakeries that deserve more attention. Supporting local Ohio businesses is something I'm passionate about, so I made the drive to Jackson to see what all the buzz was about. The bakery sits along a quiet country road across from a picturesque farm with goats, horses, and cows, making the drive there part of the experience. When I walked inside, I discovered it's much more than a bakery--it's also a country general store stocked with homemade jams, jellies, sauces, and other locally made goodies. But let's be honest... the real reason for my visit was the doughnuts. Instead of the typical display case, Four Mile Bakery has a doughnut buffet where you put on plastic gloves and pick out your own favorites. It's a fun concept that lets you really take your time looking over all the incredible options. While I was filming, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Shawn. He couldn't have been more welcoming. He shared the story of the bakery, how many of their recipes were developed, and the passion that goes into what they make every day. Then came the highlight of my visit--their signature Wagon Wheel doughnut. This giant glazed doughnut is unlike any I've ever had. Most oversized doughnuts tend to be heavy, bread-like, and dense. Not this one. Somehow they've mastered the art of making it unbelievably light and airy with an almost cotton-candy-like texture. It practically melts in your mouth. It's one of the best doughnuts I've ever eaten. They also offer an impressive variety of doughnuts with all kinds of toppings and flavors, so there's something for everyone. Although they serve lunch items as well, I didn't have enough time to try them on this visit. We picked up several doughnuts along with a few items from the general store, thanked Shawn for his hospitality, and headed home. Four Mile Bakery is exactly the kind of hidden gem I love discovering. Great people, incredible homemade doughnuts, and a beautiful country setting make it well worth the drive. If you're anywhere near Jackson--or even if you're not--make the trip. The Wagon Wheel alone is worth it. P.S. Unfortunately, my camera's microphone decided to quit working during my visit, so most of the footage I captured is without sound. I guess that's just a good excuse to make another trip back to Four Mile Bakery... and somehow I don't think I'll mind having to eat another Wagon Wheel!
