Stopped by with my neighbor so he could grab a cigar before we went to dinner. I'd never been but heard about Davidoff from several folks who had visited. I don't smoke anything ever but it was cool to learn about different cigars and the atmosphere was quite comfortable in there. Selection of cigars is nice. Clearly top end cigars but also have some moderate cigars. Humidor is well lit and very posh Major Gripe Ahead: I dropped a few hundred on cigars and I asked if I could smoke in the lounge.....I was promptly greeted with that would be another 100 for lounge access. So basically buy your cigars here but don't smoke here. Look I get you want it to be exclusive but then put a purchase minimum in order to get into the lounge. You actually get more sales that way... So I left and smoked at the Hotel Granduca where it was welcoming and they served drinks and you can sit poolside. read more

I was so impressed with the humidor. It was so classy (which I kinda expected) the staff was helpful. I didn't know the bar was member only. You can buy a day pass if you want to experience it. I wasn't going to be there long enough to enjoy. But my next time I visit Houston I will plan a day just to enjoy the a day pass. They have all the impressive cigars you see online. read more

After a huge Sunday brunch we decided to walk it off around the River Oaks District shopping center. Inside this ultra-ritzy center I spied Davidoff of Geneva. I was hankering for a cigar to take back and smoke at the apartment so I checked it out. It is nicely appointed, and has a wide selection of cigars stored in perfect climatic conditions. There was only one employee helping several clients, but there was a large screen TV there so I could watch some football while waiting. Despite being located in a super-bougie mall, I found a nice "Maestro Del Tiempo" by Warped Cigars at a very reasonable price. I don't smoke cigars much, but when I do this is the kind of store I would seek out. read more

As expected, their humidor has a wide selection of Davidoff and Camacho cigars, but I was also pleasantly surprised to see another third of the humidor devoted to non Davidoff related labels as well. Other notable attractions at the shop is their large collection of Dupont Chinese lacquer lighters as well as other very high end tobacco accouterments such as $5000 humidors, meerschaum pipes, cigarette holders, gator skinned cigar holders, enamel ash trays and so forth. The employee that helped me was extremely knowledgeable and more than happy to walk us through the store pointing out items and helping with questions. All in all, not exactly my every day cigar shop but if ever in the mood to treat myself or find a serious gift for a cigar lover, I know where to go. read more

Decide to join a friend for a smoke. I was greeted by a well dressed and suited gentleman. He inquired on what type of stick I was looking to smoke. I decided to look around. Like any other cigar shop it's a courtesy to purchase a stick. After careful selection I chose a A Fuente Gran Reserva. After purchasing the stick a was offered water, tea, or soda. It was light stick. It's a little chilly that's why the only received 4 stars. I suggest anyone to stop in just keep in mind the close at 7 or 8pm. read more

Stopped in for a late night cigar on a business trip and was staying near the Galleria. Came in and everyone was incredibly friendly. Great selection of standard to exotic Davidoff's, some I've never heard of. Sat in the lounge for an hour and relaxed, was offered a water or soda, and let myself unwind. Excellent service. Poor guy was working alone and I was number 8 in line. No fault of his own. He was efficient and hustled taking time with each patron. Excellent atmosphere in a high rent part of town. So why four stars? One could say I'm being a little tough because they do offer a wide assortment of Davidoff, but they also offer other options, but that's where I drop a star. If you're going to offer other cigars, go big or go home. Offer more variety of excellent/premium cigars or don't offer any at all. I have been to sooooo many cigar shops and lounges from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to Houston TX and this is the absolute best one I have been to! There selection is awesome and whatever they dont have they really do let you know when they have it. I've had so many people tell me they will call me when they get the cigar I am looking for in and this place was the first and only cigar shop to actually keep their word and do it. The best cigar shop I've ever been to. I've been to others with more selection, but the customer service at Davidoff is exceptional!! Other cigar shops in Houston have spotty customer service, depending on which employee you get. All of the staff at Davidoff have been wonderful and made me feel like a valuable person. I will never again go anywhere else for my premium Padron's and Davidoff cigars. On my last visit I intended on spending $20, but I was so impressed with the service that I ended up spending over $200. I've been meaning to checkout the Davidoff store ever since I discovered there was one in Houston. Stopped in today around lunchtime and my expectations were exceeded.
