I can't say enough about how great this David's Bridal is. We went in told them our budget ,not only did they not try to hard sell us into debt but they treated us so kindly. Despite our low price point I felt our business was as important to them as any customer with a high budget. We even got an estimate for alterations before we committed to purchase the dress and when we returned to this store they honored that estimate exactly. We went to a David's closer to our home to get the alterations done (In Jacksonville) and they attempted to charge us 8X the amount for the alterations, more than the cost of the dress initially. The staff at Altamonte were compassionate ,caring and honest. I would recommend their services to anyone. I stopped into David's Bridal without an appointment, fully expecting to just browse around on my own -- and I would've been totally fine with that. But from the moment I walked in, I was greeted so warmly, and that's when I met Jayden T. -- who completely made my day! Even though the store was busy, Jayden went out of her way to work with me one-on-one. She asked about my style, budget, and what I was looking for -- and I never once felt rushed or overlooked. I didn't even make it into my appointment but thank goodness I didn't because the lack of communication and lack of organization did not make it easy to trust them with my wedding dress! My friend and I are getting married around the same time so we wanted to go dress shopping together. We both made appointments on the same day at different times. I ended up finding my dress before making it to my appointment, so I called to cancel and switch my friend to my time slot because it was earlier in the day. The woman I spoke to said it was done, my appointment was cancelled and my friend took my spot. The next day we call to confirm and they have nothing we spoke about changed or written down. Everyone kept lying to us about times, and my friend ended up getting double booked for two time slots and my appointment was never cancelled. They truly did not care and did not listen to us. It's the little things like this that don't seem like a big deal but truly matter for something big like buying your wedding dress! When I started planning my wedding, I did not think of myself as a glamorous, beautiful, traditional "princess" bride; I've never been one for fancy things or drawing much attention to myself. For many months, I had planned to fix up an old goodwill wedding dress to wear at my wedding- but as the day drew closer, I was exhausted and overwhelmed, and my amazing mother convinced me to try a trip to David's Bridal to see if we could find something easier. We walked into David's just under 8 weeks (!!!) from my event date, and we knew time was tight. The stylist, Jeannie, was kind, caring, and treated me like a true bride. She listened to me, and went out of her way to make me feel special and beautiful in a way that I never have. She even got the wonderful alteration's department (thank you Monica!!!) to fit me in on that same day for my first fitting!! We were so amazed by the love they put into the process. A month later, I went back to pick up my dress from alterations, just a few weeks out from my wedding. As far as selecting my dress, Valentina was amazing! I appreciate her assistance and knowledge. Picking up my dress was also a simple process. My 2 stars comes with the alterations department. I cannot confirm exactly who I spoke to but the attitude was very unnecessary for a customer asking questions in order to understand the process. I was told alterations are a minimum of 4 weeks, understandable! Which means that I should be able to pick up my dress 4 weeks from my appointment as that is when I would need it. I was told that it would not be exactly 4 weeks due to appointment availability and that if I wanted it exactly 4 weeks to date, I would have have to pay a 3 week rush fee for that 4 week date... Confusing. When trying to gain clarity, the tone of voice and attitude read I was in competent for a system I'm obviously not familiar with. Not to mention, when I actually tried to schedule the appointment, I was told 4pm yet in the next sentence she mentioned 5:30pm. Again, I asked is the appointment 4 or 5:30pm? I, of course, was met with the same attitude. I would have just skipped writing the review because I don't like wasting time on negativity. But when I called the Millenia store, I was met with such courtesy and willingness to assist. Nonetheless, I switched my appointment and all is well. For the altamonte location - please try and do a better job of explaining the process minus any attitude. Some of us are just unaware of how things work as this is my first time purchasing a dress. Due to COVID Emily had to wear gloves and grab the dresses we were pointing out in the catalog. We were not allowed to just roam around the store touching all the dresses. (Which is totally fine and I am glad they are taking extra safety precautions.) I had the most wonderful experience at David's Bridal today in Altamonte Springs. 2 weeks ago, I had the opposite experience at the DB at Millenia Mall. I was helped by a girl named Natalie who was so helpful, honest and super sweet! Lisa the manager was also very courteous and was extremely professional. Not only was the customer service excellent but the store had a boutique experience. Everything looked organized and clean. The lighting was beautiful and flattering. I was shocked when I walked in at how nice the store was. One of the ladies who work there said it's currently the most updated one in Florida. I highly recommend this location over the Millennia location. I had called a couple days prior to make a reservation which they nicely followed up with via text and a phone call. My friends and I were promptly greeted. My group and I were pretty self efficient, but our consultant made sure she stopped by to see if we needed anything. This is my first Yelp review. I am not someone who writes reviews good or bad. I had to write a review about David's Bridal in Altamonte Springs, Fl. I was greeted with a friendly sales person who walked me over to the mother of the bride/groom dresses. It took a while for the bride to decide on what type of dress she wanted me to wear. I drove an hour to Jacksonville last weekend and ended up ordering a dress the bride liked in 3 sizes. The dresses arrived and did not work. Now on July 29th I am panicking because I'm flying to San Diego on August 9th. I found a few beautiful dresses and as I walked toward the dressing room, the same saleswoman was there asking me if I liked to try on the dresses. She hung them up in a room and on her headset called over my own personal dressing attendant. Nicole was amazing and so helpful! After trying on the dress with the strapless bra I brought, I thought the dress looked pretty. Howard suggested a corset bra and wow did it make a difference! We couldn't find the right corset bra size, so Nicole had to hook and unhook a multitude of corset bras as well as helping me to get in and out of the gown. They didn't have my size bra in stock so I left the store and searched at Victoria Secret, Macy's and JC Penney's to no avail. David's bridal searched other stores, but no one had my size. They checked the website but it was impossible to get the bra in my size shipped in time Howard came to the rescue eventually fitting a larger size down to the size I needed with pins so it could be altered. Genius!! With Howard exceptional eye for detail, picked out a crystal belt that matched the broach already on the dress. The dress went from pretty to beautiful!! It is no wonder he is so great at his job since he has worked on broadway and for many superstars such as Whoopie Goldberg and Barbara Streisand! I never once felt pressured to make a purchase or felt that the staff was rushing me. I was there almost 3 hours from start to finish. Nicole helped me pick out beautiful shoes to match the dress and Howard asked the seamstress, ( so sorry I forgot her name) if she could pin the dress for alterations so I wouldn't have to drive back (one hour) another day. She agreed and even stayed late! She actually completed the alterations on the corset bra right then to make sure it fit well with the dress! Seems like they are short staffed and underpaid. One out of 4 workers was helpful. Otherwise, it just seems like you're annoying them. They don't give everyone the same experience and they didn't have a great selection for different body types, which is okay when you have the proper staff there to actually clip the dresses. The prices on dresses are reasonable though.I think the 3 staff members hanging out front should have helped the one staff member working on brides. Was supposed to get an email with the dresses that I liked to readdress purchasing and it's been 5 days and I haven't received one. I recommend skipping this place and going to Lily's Bridal where when you book appointments, they take it seriously and give the proper attention to brides. read more

I was shopping for my wedding dress and had come in once before to try them on and narrow down my decision. My maid of honor and I came back to try on the final picks and decide. The associate helping seemed super nice and helpful, mentioning that they were the employee that had been there the longest of everyone. I trusted her, so when she told me that I wouldn't fit into anything smaller than a 6, I believed her and ordered it. Well, two of me could fit into a 6, and I was so upset with the purchase when it came in months later. The only option presented to me was to have it altered and then covid hit and my alteration appointment was canceled. After speaking on the phone with the store, I found out they did have a return policy, even though they didn't discuss it with me for my options, and I was now outside of the window for a return. Ninth hour need for a Prom Dress. I called the store to see what options were available in already difficult to find plus sizes and was advised of their limited availability. Drove the 35 minutes and met with Stylist Anna. She was pleasant and patient. She worked in the background to get additional dress options which was much appreciated. She asked permission to get the opinion of fellow Stylist Akeelah as we were torn between 2 dresses. Akeelah not only asked great questions but she did an amazing job pairing accessories to help the dresses look even better. In the end, we chose a dress that Anna selected!! My niece booked a bridal appointment for 3pm and a bridesmaid appointment for 4:30pm at the Altamonte location. She was told that there would be "plenty of seating". We arrive and are told there are only 5 chairs. Okay, no problem. The assigned attendant was not helpful, was never there to clip the dress to give the bride a better idea of fit, there were no pedestals for brides to stand on so they could see the flow of the dress without it crumpling on the floor. We were all looking for dresses for the bride, the consultant served no purpose aside from being rude and aggravating to the entire group. The consultants answers to everything asked were vague and completely unhelpful. At 4pm the consultant informed us all that we had about 15 minutes to finish up so she would have time to prepare for the next appointment. The next appointment was the bridesmaids!!! She was very rushed, inattentive, appeared annoyed to be doing her job, and by 4:30pm....the entire area was cleared out, so I am unsure why she would try to be rushing the bride. There were plenty of other consultants standing around. We had to ask for clips because our consultant refused to let us use hers to try to assist the bride's fitting. The AC must have been broken because all of us were very hot. We let the manager know how severely disappointed we were with the total lack of customer service, care, and attention. After that, several consultants appeared to stand around with disapproval, of what I don't know. This is NOT how it should be when a bride is choosing her wedding gown!!! it was AWFUL. I would NEVER recommend that a bride go to this location!! What a nightmare!!! I am hoping the bridesmaids go elsewhere to spend their money at a different shop completely. I am grateful my niece decided to get her dress at a boutique that took excellent care of her!!! read more

My wife is joining her Emmy Nominated sister at the 2018 Emmy's in September. She needed a second dress, so decided to visit David's Bridal, Altamonte Mall location. Her first impression amounted to being told to look around and find something she might like. Then let them know. She was headed out the door and it sounds like there was one polite employee on the clock that stepped in. She took interest in her exciting event and spent over two hours helping her find the perfect 2nd dress. ........fast forward a couple of weeks. She received notification that her special purchase had arrived and was ready for pick up. She asked me to stop and pick it up for her. I stopped in around 4:00 pm today to pick up the dress. When I entered, I found the place to be well laid out, clean and fully staffed. Then this happened......... Someone walked in with a bag of Chick Fil A. I am not exaggerating when I say that in less than 60 seconds I was left standing alone in the front of the store as I watched the entire staff herd themselves to the back corner of the store with that bag of chicken nuggets. I literally could have left with as many dresses as I wanted and no one would have been the wiser, but I only came for that one special dress. So, I remained on site. .......Thankfully There was one employee, way in the back of the store, Victoria I think her name badge said, that did not join the herd. She was helpful and able to help me pick up the special order I was after. She mentioned she was hungry as well, which kind of confused me??? Headed for the exit...... Unfortunately, as I made my way towards the front of the store and closest exit I could find, I was confronted by the herd. The same herd that had now returned from the back corner of the store. Then in an incredible moment of perfect timing, another employee walked in with a whole tray full of hi cal frozen drinks from Starbucks. Luckily, this again distracted the herd and I was able to make it safely and securely outside and away from this clearly overrated and aloof outfit. ......Final thoughts Enter at your own risk or bring food!!! read more

I was interested in a silk material and what they consider to be silk was NOT silk! After trying on many dresses we did end up finding one we all liked. The reason I'm giving two stars is really because the lady who helped us. I came in with the idea of wanting different dresses for my bridesmaids just the same color/length (different neck lines). Do not go here if you are expecting customer service....lacking by far. The young lady at the front desk was somewhat helpful. I had to pick my way through dresses and sizes. No one offered to ask if I needed help or if I wanted to have dresses taken to a fitting room. I had to ask for a fitting room at which point I was told "you'll have to wait if you don't have an appointment ". So she puts me in a dressing room and offers no help. I decided to leave a review here because all of the other poor reviews. Personally, I had a good experience here! My consultant was available and willing to help. I did deduct one star because I wish she was a little more honest with me. I'm not saying she was dishonest but she said every dress I tried on looked great! I am an indecisive person and wanted that outside unbiased opinion. Besides that, she was really sweet! When I picked up my dress 4 months later, she was helping someone else but stopped by to say hello, it was nice that she remembered me after all that time. When picking up my dress, the front desk associate helped me get into my dress. I decided I wanted a belt, and even though I did not have an appointment she spent time with me trying on various belts and did give me great feedback and opinions on which belt look best. It was cheaper online so she did match the online sale price. In all, I was nice to them and they were nice to me, and I am very happy with my dress and the price I paid for it. Also, FYI- mall of millennia has a larger selection, or at least gets the newer collections first. I'll preface this review by saying it seems that your experience at this location is probably heavily dependent on which stylist you're paired with. My partner and I both bought our dresses here, and while her experience wasn't exactly negative, it definitely wasn't as over-the-top positive as mine. My parents were in town for the weekend, so we wanted to do the dress shopping when they could be with me. I made an appointment for first thing Saturday morning, because I knew weekends are very busy for wedding stores and hoped that an early morning appointment would be slightly less hectic. Lenee was my consultant, and I loved her. When she walked up to greet me, she had a three-page printout in her hand which turned out to be the dresses I'd added to my favorites list on the website. She'd already made some observations about the styles I had chosen and let me know that some of them weren't available (which I was expecting) because they were clearanced and not orderable, so it just was a matter of if a given store happened to have them in stock. But she did let me know that if I had my heart set on one she didn't have, she could help me check other locations to see if we could find it. Then she asked me if I would like to browse the inventory or the clearance collection while she set up a dressing room for me and started picking out dresses from my list and others that she thought I'd like from what I told her I was looking for. I let her know from the beginning that I wasn't sure I was even going to purchase a dress that day because I was in the "getting ideas" stage, but this didn't dampen her enthusiasm one bit. I'm a plus size bride, and I was worried there wouldn't be much in stock that I could try on, but this was not a problem, and Lenee never once made me feel self-conscious about my size or the styles of dresses that were available. Once she had an idea of what to pick out, she was on a mission and left me to browse in peace. I never felt left alone, though, as it seemed every time I needed to ask her a question or found a dress I liked to add to the rapidly filling dressing room, she was right there. I tried on roughly 10 - 12 dresses, and somehow she managed to be in the room every time I opened the door to show the dress to my mom. Even though she was doing a dozen different things, I never felt like anything except the center of her attention. She took note of things I did and didn't like about each dress and adjusted her selections accordingly. In the end, I fell in love with a dress off the clearance rack that wasn't quite in my size but I could still try on. She ran to see if she was able to order my size, and good news, she could! She then asked if I would like a veil rather than assuming that I wanted to "bling out" my dress, and when I said I would consider it, she came back with two options. One of them was such a perfect match for the dress I absolutely couldn't resist. Then she took me around to what she called the "sparkle mirror" so that I could really see the beautiful details in the dress, and I felt like a princess. I'm going to go on a side tangent here for my fellow plus size ladies: I know trying on clothes in general is so very stressful, and trying on wedding dresses in particular is a daunting idea. I was stressed and dreading this appointment for weeks leading up to it, afraid that I was going to feel self-conscious and frumpy, or that I wouldn't be able to try on actual samples. But I felt like an actual pampered princess at this appointment, and my mom took a picture of me looking at myself in the "sparkle mirror" in that gorgeous dress, and you know what's on my face? Not tears. Not unease. Just pure, smiling joy. I ended up ordering the dress AND the veil, and we had such a great time chatting with Lenee and other employees during the process. It was definitely an A+ experience and I'm so grateful. read more

The people there were very nice BUT the associate who ended up assisting us wasn't helpful at all...my wedding coordinator who was with us helped more than she did! And then she started telling us that we had 21 mins left, then 12 mins left, etc. and was rushing us but not being helpful as my daughter tried on dresses. It was awful...needless to say we did not get a dress. Later we went back for another appointment for bridesmaids dresses and a different associate helped us and he is the only reason I gave two stars! Let me give the background of the fact that I used this David's Bridal when they were across the street 2 years ago for my own wedding and my bridesmaids dresses. My dress was purchased at the Clearwater, FL location and then shipped to my home. I brought it in for alterations, no issue, and while a little on the pricey side, nothing outrageous. My 4 bridesmaids got their dresses from the Altamonte location and everything was fine, no mess ups. Which brings us to now. My girlfriend is getting married. We first went there and got her dress. While waiting for it to come in and be altered we went shopping for the bridesmaids dresses. After many hours of being there a dress style was chosen and we all ordered and paid for it. We were assured the bridesmaids dresses would all be in by 2/28 which should be plenty of time for the wedding which is 4/13. Only 2 of the 5 bridesmaids got emailed that their dress was in (this past Sun 2/24). even though all 5 were. When one of the girls went to pick up her dress, it was the wrong dress. She asked to see the other 4 and they were all wrong. She went through 2 different managers so far, and it's been a complete nightmare. Corporate has not returned her call or the brides, and of course no one actually answers the phone at corporate. Now we don't even know if the correct dresses will even arrive in time for the wedding, let alone in time for any alterations that may need to be done. And speaking of alterations, they want to charge the bride THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS for 3 small alterations, similar to what I had done and paid less than $100 for. Buyer beware. Find yourself a smaller or boutique shop. It is clear this company no longer cares about the reason they are (barely) in business to begin with. This place is horrible! The employees are rude, unprofessional, and haven't a clue what they're talking about. Unfortunately I have to get my bridesmaids dress at this chain, so I tried on some dresses. Each and every one of the dresses I chose had caked on dirt under the armpits. Absolutely disgusting. I cringe knowing that I have to give this chain any of my money. But no matter what, I'll make sure I go to a different location. read more

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was the only one in the store yet NO ONE tried to help me. No acknowledgement whatsover. I tried to approach a couple of girls as I walked by some aisles yet they try to go the other way. So I just took it upon myself to search what I needed. There was also a group of employees who were gossiping in the front. When I finally tried to search in the cabinets (in sheer desparation to try and find what i needed) one girl finally DID approach me. When she told me it was an "online item", she just walked away. Did not even try to to offer maybe another item in the store similar to what I needed. Needless to say, I wont be back, and they just lost potential business with us as we are looking into possibly purchasing dresses here for a bridal party in the near future. read more

Super surprised by the negative reviews for this location! Before my appointment here, I went to the other location on the west side of town and felt more pressure than anything. The overall calmness that was at this location was greatly appreciated. It is updated and it appeared that they had more dresses in stock. Within an hour and a half I found my dream dress. Jennie was my bridal consultant and she really went above and beyond to make sure myself and my mother were comfortable. As far as shipping and alterations go I have no reviews as of yet but I will surely update my review when that time comes. read more
