Let's be honest: no one is dying to spend hundreds of dollars on a dress that they're not likely to wear again. David's Bridal just didn't end up being my style-- I'm looking for full-length dresses and what I found was just too much satin, beads, and sashes for my taste. They're open until 9pm on weekdays and I liked that I was able to look at dresses without anyone following me around the store. I traveled to Atlanta this past weekend to look for bridesmaids dresses for my girlfriends wedding, exciting!!! This David's Bridal isn't your typical David's Bridal, it was more on the high end side. It was a Saturday so it was very busy and packed! My friend made an appointment and our stylist came to assist fairly quickly. She let us browse at dresses and said she would return. She took forever so I asked another stylist if she could grab us a certain dress in a certain size and she says "I am not your stylist!" At that point I was very disgusted with the rude customer service, I've never been talked to that way and was pretty shocked. I def would have given this place 1 star but we had an amazing stylist named Samantha who literally saved the day! She was very sweet and helped us throughout our entire appointment. Stopped in for a dress fitting and this was a pretty easy process. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the young lady took all my information, found the bride's registration, and let me know who would be assisting me. Ohhhh Ms. Connie was the cutest and most sweetest lady. She made sure that my dress fit properly and didn't mind going to hunt for extra dresses when a size didn't work. Found it!! I received a call from one of the managers letting me know that my dress was there and she apologized for the whole situation. I went in the next day for the fitting and everything was so different, (not chaotic) and relaxed! The ladies there took care of me, everything was fast and easy as it should be. Another one of the managers came to me, I was surprised that they took the time to make sure I knew that they were sorry for the bad experience I had with them before, she was very sweet and apologized to me. My mom and grandma were in town from out of state and we had time on a Friday before dinner. We decided to go to the David's Bridal in Buckhead to look at bridesmaids and wedding dresses to get an idea of what I may like for my upcoming wedding. As soon as we walked in the store we were greeted and asked if we needed any help. We were allowed to browse all of the dresses. I eventually decided that I did want to try on two wedding dresses even though it was not my original intention and did not have an appointment. They were accommodating to my request as they were allowing walk ins and set me up with Rachel. She was very kind, understanding, and helpful and gave great feedback on options with the different dresses. She listened attentively to what I liked and did not. She even brought me a third dress she picked out that was more in line with what I wanted! Although I did not find exactly what I was looking for, I would return to this store in the future to work with her again. I wish I would've read the reviews before walking into this store. Such poor customer service it's sad. I walked into the store as a walk-in and immediately was turned away. It's advertised on their website that they happily take walk ins and that was so far from what I experienced. The girls were rude and did not offer any help or alternatives. I looked around for all of 5 minutes. They had about 20 gowns to look at and all were cheap looking and in piss poor condition. I would compare their customer service to the same kind you'd get at mc Donald's. I went to Anya Bridal right after and it was night and day. I went from Mc Donald's customer service to Chick Fil a. Haley Welsh literally saved my wedding day by picking the PERFECT dress for me. I had already purchased a dress at a different store and when I went to my final fitting, I just did not like anything about it anymore. So I had to start at square 1 again, and I was STRESSED about it to say the least. I stopped in this location with my maid of honor to look at bridesmaids dresses, and she urged me to try on wedding dresses while we were there. I was assigned to a newer consultant, I believe her name is Erica. She was great. Everything was going totally fine, but Haley popped over to check in on things and the appointment went from fine to AMAZING. I told her about my first dress fiasco and that I wanted a princess look and my wedding was fairy tale themed. Haley pulled a dress for me, and when I saw it I was honestly not impressed. I had already seen it on a mannequin on the floor and thought nothing of it. I tried it on anyway, and when I say it was perfect.... it was PERFECT. It was totally a Cinderella dress, and I would have never even pulled it for myself. I was reluctant to say yes, since I already had a dress at home that I didn't like, but Haley convinced me that it was literally everything I told her I was looking for. And it was! Additionally with alterations... the ladies I worked with were great. I even screwed up my appointment time for one fitting and was late an hour. Warning: Do NOT get your alterations done by David's bridal. I spent $200 on the dress and and additional $225 for alterations and they did an awful job. The dress is made by Vera Wang and has two layers of lining that were a little tight so I asked for them to let out the sides of the lining a tiny bit. The alterations lady told me this would be a $75 charge. All she did was piece in a 4" long piece of fabric at the hip area instead of letting it out the same width all the way down the dress. Now the lining puckers/poofs out under the dress. It is impossible for it to lay smooth since she only pieced in a 4" long strip instead of doing it the right way and running it all the way down. When I went to pick up the dress up I expressed how I wasn't happy with the lining adjustments as it was my understanding that the lining would be let out the same width all the way down and not just in a small area. She assured me that the lining would lay flat and she went and re steamed it and said that would do the fix. Well she was wrong. (I've attached pictures of this) In addition to them ruining they lining, they also messed up the top. The lady that did my alterations sewed up the front of my dress. You could see the stitches (it looked homemade). When I went to pick up the dress another alterations lady agreed that looked terrible so she cut the stitching off and made the proper adjustments. Now there are small noticeable holes in the chiffon fabric from were she had to cut and remove threads. She also took an inch too much off the bottom of the dress. The other bridesmaids went elsewhere for their alterations and spent a fraction of the price. Their dresses look flawless. I thought David's bridal would do the best job that's why I opted to have my alterations done by them but I regret it. I am so upset that they ruined this beautiful dress and charged me a premium to do it! Worst alterations experience ever! I will not be back. read more

I had a pretty low budget for my dress, but I hadn't really wanted to go to a David's Bridal, mostly because the atmosphere at ones I had dealt with in the past for weddings I was in was less than pleasant. That said, I was pleasantly surprised that this store was more boutiquey than my previous experiences with David's. It was almost reminiscent of Bridals by Lori or Kleinfeld's. That said, their selection is a little smaller than I was expecting, and a few of the dresses that I'd specifically wanted to look at weren't available here. Coni, my consultant, was fantastic to work with. She worked with the pictures I showed her and found several dresses that were similar to the more upscale designer dresses I'd been looking at online. We found THE dress after about 4 or 5 try-ons, which turned out to be a dress I'd passed over repeatedly while looking at the David's website. We had a few more appointments that day, so when we left Coni told me she'd put all the information in the computer so if I decided that was the one, I could come back and get it later in the weekend. We did end up coming back later that day, and the ordering process was really easy. All in all, it was a much, much better experience than I ever would've guessed I would get at a David's, and I definitely recommend it. read more

I was here shopping for a dress to wear for my cousin's wedding. (I'm the maid of honor) It was a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed. The store itself is the nicest David's Bridal I've seen so that was a plus as far as appearance. At first we were kinda worried about how the service would be since it was so packed but I was helped pretty promptly. I already had a few dresses in mind I liked from looking at the website beforehand. I looked around and my stylist Marybeth pulled the dresses for me and had my fitting room ready. She was very helpful and pulled additional dresses I needed with urgency. For the ladies that are curvy like myself don't let those dress sizes alarm you, some of the numbers I heard had me feeling a bit perturbed as well. Sizing by measurements sounds much better lol Thank you Marybeth for being so helpful! I chose a dress and also the perfect color for the destination wedding! Review coming from a bridesmaid and not a bride - FYI I came in knowing exactly what colors i was allowed to look at and that my dress needed to be "long and flowing" in those shades. On the day I came in Tashara, Ashley and Lauren were working. I walked with Tashara, let her know my size, the type of dress i needed and that ultimately i needed it to come in one of xyz colors. She immediately started pulled all the dresses for me and grabbed me a pair of shoes to try them on with. Obviously if i needed any assistance she was right there to zip, tuck or whatever i needed. Clearly in this type of situation you need the brides approval on the dress (since i was allowed multiple options). She even took my phone and snapped photos of me in the dresses to send to the bride. Couldn't have asked for better help! I came in expecting to spend more than an hour at minimum and by the third dress it was a done deal, called back after approved by bride and ordered. Boom! read more

She saw we were struggling with options we had picked, and even though we weren't her client per se', she walked over with a beautiful blue dress and asked, "Did you see this one?" It fit like it was made for my daughter, no alterations required! That was huge since the prom was in one week. I made an appointment online and was called a few days later to confirm the time which was great and reassuring everything would be ready. I had Courtney as an advisor and she was awesome!! She was very patient and totally knew her stuff. She gave me suggestions without feeling pressured and she also calmed me down as this can be an overwhelming process. The following is an email that I wrote to corporate to complain. They never followed up. I would also note that this David's Bridal location is a "collections" store, which they don't tell you on the website, so none of the "affordable" dresses they advertise are in this store. They told me when I showed up to try on dresses that they're aware there is mis-information out there, but fail to fix it. The average dress price at this location is over $1000. They laughed at me when I told them my budget of $900. "I fell in love with a wedding dress at the Buckhead, Atlanta, GA location and purchased it. When the dress arrived and I went to pick it up, they had ordered the wrong dress and tried to blame it on me changing my mind. They offered to "swap it complimentary" as if they were doing me a favor to actually order the dress I wanted. Trying to overlook this, I decided to purchase my veil from David's Bridal. I found my half hour appointment to be extremely rushed and a random sales attendant, not even the person I was working with started ringing up the veil before I had even said I wanted to purchase it. After my veil appointment, my bridesmaids showed up for bridesmaid dresses. The attendant assigned to us was missing her nametag, so I don't know her name. Her manager was also reprimanding her in front of my group for not having her nametag, which I found distasteful. She was extremely unhelpful. We were there for an hour and a half instead of an hour because it was taking her so long to assist us. There were only 3 bridesmaids, so I don't think that's a ton of people to serve. I ended up being late to another appointment that day. Every time I asked if they had the dress in a different size, or if I could see the dress in a specific color, she stood there and said "i dont' know..." and then wandered away. She rolled her eyes at me and wouldn't help. She would come back 10-15 minutes later with only one size, so then I would have to send her back to find the other bridesmaids sizes. I had wanted to wear my wedding dress next to the bridesmaids to make sure the dresses matched mine but I was spending so much time running around your store that I had to take my dress off. I was pulling so many sizes and colors for bridesmaids (even colors and sizes the attendant said they didn't have.) I fully understand not every dress size will be in the color I wanted, but I just wanted to see ANY dress in the sea color and when I asked to do that, the attendant stared at me as if I had spoken a different language. Lastly, I picked up my correct wedding dress a week and a half ago and get daily emails and phone calls alerting me I need to pickup my dress. This makes me very nervous about the bridesmaid dresses I've ordered. I even ordered a bridesmaid dress for myself to wear in another wedding and they couldn't find that order. I had to take ten minutes out of my work day to explain to this person on the phone I already have my dress and she was still confused." Since then, I have found out that my bridesmaids were not offered the discount they should have gotten for me purchasing my dress there. They were out of a size 10 and 12 so one of my bridesmaids wasn't able to try a dress on. They also charge an outrageous shipping fee to ship a dress to a location different from the one you try it on at, so having David's Bridals around the country aren't a real benefit. Every time I go in to check on bridesmaids dresses, it takes an incredible amount of time because no one knows what is going on and everyone has to consult a manager, who then gets distracted, or wanders away, or speaks condescendingly to you. They also email me FOUR times a day which is a ridiculous amount. Lastly, I have also ordered a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I am in, and they keep moving back the arrival date, putting me at risk of not having a dress to wear for my friend's wedding. They have no tracking on the dress and occasionally have trouble "finding" my order in their files. I can not recommend this store to anyone. I would also strongly advise against using David's Bridal in general. They are horrible and disorganized. read more

I had no intention on finding my dress. I went into my appointment just to try on silhouettes prior to dress shopping with my family. I had my heart set on a mermaid gown. After trying on multiple gowns none of them wowed me. I finally relented and said I'm open to different silhouettes. My consultant, Jasmine brought me the most beautiful dress. She said she wanted me to try this on on as soon as I walked into the shop. The minute I saw myself in the mirror I cried. That dress was made for me! Jasmine is so sweet and has been so patient during this entire process. She called to alert me that my dress was on sale for $70 off. As a bride I really appreciated all the knowledge and help. In store was a very pleasant experience! Denver, took care of all of my alterations perfectly!!! My dress was lace, and she was able to make all the alterations with one fitting and one afterward to make sure it was how I wanted it to be. She is a wonderful seamstress, and super friendly!! The only reason I didn't give David's Bridal 5 full stars, is due to the 2 random phone calls I got. 1- telling me that my bridesmaids hadn't ordered the dress when they had and that they could no longer order the dress as it wouldn't be enough time for them to come in. I wish they had checked with me if they had ordered online (which apparently doesn't show in the bride's system they were ordered the way they do when you order in store)...before scaring me to death! 2-that my dress had been in for so long they were getting ready to send it back (that was the first time I had even been notified it was in!) Hands down the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I've gone in circles with this company's "customer service" chat line that every single extension on the customer service phone number sends you to and therefore can never speak to an actual person. I've been informed my dress has gone from 12 weeks time needed to cut make and send, to 14, 18, now 20 weeks. I am floored. How in the world can you have such a drastic change on a dress for a WEDDING?! And you're supposed to be in the wedding business? I have never been so disgusted by a company in my entire life. I had a great experience at this davids bridal and it was all thanks to Connie!! She literally saved my dress shopping experience. I had been to a few other shops and had seen some things I liked but nothing I loved. I was starting to get defeated so I made one last appoint here to see what I could find. I came in alone on a Sunday (I'm new to Atlanta and all my friend and family are back in Boston) and I felt like a total loser not having anyone with me. Connie wasn't gonna let me feel like that, she was amazing to talk to and work with. It felt like I was shopping with friends. I showed her pictures of what I liked and she found the exact dresses right away and then pointed towards some similar styles and things she thought would look good on me. When it came time to try things on, I knew I wanted to take some pics to show my friends and family....i didn't even have to ask! She took my phone and we had a photo shoot with each of the dresses in all different angles. It really was so much fun. When I went back for my second appointment she was just as great, didn't pressure me but also helped calm my nerves about buying a dress and I ended up purchasing that day. Now a month later, I just went back in to pick up my dress and Connie just happened to walk out front when i walked in and she ran right up and gave me a hug, stopped what she was doing and took me to try on the dress! She also brought over a manger ( I forget her name I believe it began with a G) and we talked alterations a little bit and gave me an idea about what I could expect for pricing and set my alterations appointment. I came in expecting to NOT get my dress. As bad as it is to say, I expected David's Bridal to be the Walmart of wedding dresses. And it could just be the demographic of this area, but I was absolutely blown away. I had been to 2 other bridal shops at this point, through multiple dresses, but David's was the single place where every single dress looked amazing on me. I mean, I literally went as far as not wearing much makeup or doing my hair- that's how much I didn't expect to find "the dress" It was enjoyable as my 1st bridal shop, but so much more. I just wish I hadn't doubted it so much. It was open and relaxed. I didn't feel pressured at all, and all the consultants were very sweet, not just mine. I loved that I was able to walk around and pick for myself which dresses I wanted to try on instead of my consultant just putting them together. I can't recall my consultant's name, but she was the older petite woman from NY (you'll know from her accent lol). I was their yesterday for bridal. I made an appointment to try on a few of the $99 sale dresses. (Mother of two boys, saving for our first home, so attempting to be frugal). I was disappointed that none of those were in store to try on (online only). Whoops I missed that.... After a little wait, I was given Payton as a consultant. I enjoyed her! She was kind patient and attentive. I felt nervous and uncomfortable about trying on dresses for the first time. She really listened to what I was looking for and although I didn't leave with the dress! I felt like my visit was successful. Payton understood about me wanting something very simple and sexy, not huge and overpowering. Finally, because I didn't have a lot to spend that added to my anxiety about going to David's in Buckhead but Payton made me feel like a million bucks. read more

I had such an awkward experience at this location. I went to pick up a bridesmaid dress that I had called about and they said was in stock. When i drove an hour to get there I went to the desk, gave her a picture of the tag and she looked it up, she said there were none left. I was totally okay with that cause it was probably just a mistake. The woman then said "Umm, Is she really using this prom dress as a dress for bridesmaids?" I didn't know what to say as she said it kind of rudely. I said that I wasn't sure as I had not seen the dress, but only had a photo of the tag. I felt as if no one there was taking me seriously. I asked if i could just order the dress online, She said it takes 6 weeks and would be impossible. I then asked if she could check other stores for the dress, she was really annoyed with me even though I was the only customer at the desk. She said that there were no dresses available at any of the other locations, So i said thank you and left. I called the Duluth location just to check if the dresses were available. To my surprise the woman on the phone was extremely helpful and said that they had about 10-15 more dresses in various sizes at that location. I'm confused about the miscommunication between stores. It seems very unorganized and the Buckhead location left me feeling rather uncomfortable. But on the other hand the Duluth location felt like a completely different company and I was in and out of the store in 20 minutes with no problems and lots of useful help from the staff. read more

My nana is going blind quite rapidly and it is important to her that she got to see me in a wedding dress while she still has some sight. My wedding is a little ways off, but we wanted to try on dresses to give her some joy and some comfort. I am so glad that we made the choice to go to David's Bridal and that we were lucky enough to get Adriene Holt as our stylist! On top of being great with me, she was able to squeeze in an appointment for my best friend as well who is getting married in March. In other words, this day of trying on dresses was very important for me and my family. I got to have a meaningful, unforgettable time with my mom, my nana, and my best friend! And Adriene (hope I spelled it right!) made me and my best gal feel beautiful and calm and welcomed. That had been something I was stressed about being a plus sized dress wearer. All the dresses she pulled for me after I made my selection fit me beautifully and were sometimes needed clamps to make them smaller, which took so much anxiety off my shoulders. Adriene also knows how to work with dresses! The woman can work magic with making you fit into a dress you didn't think would close! She was astute and observant and offered helpful advice and suggestions. Because of her, a day that could have been very stressful was fun and memorable! If you go make an appointment, ask for her because she has lots of experience as a stylist and as a model that she brings to making brides feel and look their best! read more

We came in, signed in for our appointment, and were told to look around and a stylist would be with us shortly. It took about 10-15 minutes for a stylist to find us, first of all. We had looked through all of the dresses and bridesmaids dresses before the check in lady and a stylist unpolitely asked if I was Allie... So then our appointment started finally, but I said that I didn't find anything in my style. The stylist was not helpful in looking for other dress options for me. She asked me to explain what I was looking for when she had my packet and a page of my saved favorites from online. This store only had two sheath/fit and flare dresses in the back, so their selection was pretty awful. Their dressing room in the back is really crowded..I do not recommend this store. They don't have a good selection and their employees were not very great or professional. read more

Despite being a happy, upbeat and energetic young female, the glitz and glam of planning a wedding is SO ridiculous and stupid to me. So when it came to dress shopping, I wanted something affordable and didn't want to go try on dresses more than one single time. But I did, to appease my my future mother-in-law. "But this is so much fun!", she says. Blank stares, I answer with. We I went to this David's first. Found a dress I liked online but apon trying it on, it was definitely not the dress for me. So I tried on many more. The associates were helpful and attentive. But I convinced myself to try on dresses elsewhere, just "to see what was out there". The only other place I went to was Le Dress with the MIL, right down the road on Piedmont.... not for me. So we went back to Davids and finally found a dress that I loved. A gentleman named Alex helped me during the final pick-out session, and he was great. All in all, David's is a good choice if you don't want to spend thousands on a dress, have bridesmaids in different area codes, and like convinience. As a bride-to-be who just doesn't really give a sh*t about all the petty, materialistic things that go along with having a wedding (including getting the perfect dress), I think this is a solid place to dress-shop! PROS: - affordable, can get the david's bridal credit card if you don't have a loaded daddy buying your dress for you - decent selection - alterations on-site - open late!, for those brides who, you know.... work and stuff CONS: - gets super busy on weekends in the summer, they seem a little understaffed - wowzers @ their solicitation. I get emails daily and calls weekly advertising sales, discounts, specials, ect. Even after getting my dress! (For your bridesmaids!, they say). I could do without all the spam. She went out of her way to be super sweet and nice to me and my party. She had me pick a few dresses I liked and helped me into them and once she realized my style, she helped me find this beautiful reception gown that suited my taste to a tee! Kysha check us in. She didn't seemed pleased that we were here to try on bridesmaids dresses. After 10 minutes after our appointment time we had to share a room to make room for the bride and left. She never came back to check on us while we were trying on dresses. When we informed her that we would be going to another location because she wasn't helpful to us, she copped a huge attitude and basically insinuated that we were not going to buy anything. We were prepared to purchase 6 bridesmaid dresses along with shoes and accessories. I worked at a Davids for a long time and she did everything the opposite of how you're supposed to do it. Worst. My first dress appointment was at this location. They didnt have the dress i wanted here but i still wanted to check it out because its more like a DB boutique while the rest in GA are just regular DBs. The lady that assisted me was sooo helpful and convinced me to try on different silhouttes. She didnt juggle me with other clients and also helped with undergarments. I did get naked immediately with her in the dressing room and she was surprised...i apologize i have no issues with being naked in front of anyone...well except my Fiance's family...i think. She made me feel comfortable and i really wish i was able to give her the sale but i did find my ceremony gown at the Gwinnett store. MONTHS later, my bridal party was able to call from across the country to pay for their dresses and i went to this location to pick them up. It took a while to find one but im just glad they did. They need a better system for phone orders and pick ups. read more

My first official time trying on gowns. Just moved here last month and I was the only bride trying on gowns alone. I got so lucky to have Courtney as my consultant! She was such a sweetheart! She stayed positive and helped me into my gowns. Both of us laughing at times when gowns got stuck. My 2nd gown made me cry because parts of it looked like my mom's old wedding gown. Then she was crying with me too! Wow, this David's is a boutique not like the main chain stores. I've been to David's in the past for prom/bridesmaid gowns. So, this is a big difference from the main shop. The only downer was I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment, they had me check my info and told me someone would come and take me back in a few minutes. Then I noticed people coming in after me were all going back before me as I stood there alone. It was almost 20 minutes after my appointment time when Iw as finally called back. I was like, "I thought you forgot about me", but they were super nice about it, plus They ere completely booked! Make an appointment! I made mine at the FL wedding expo. read more

Horrible staff! Rude not helpful! You screwed up my alteration on my bridesmaid dress by an inch ! Which is unacceptable! But when I was given a refund the young lady at the front was rude & unhelpful when you guys ruined my dress! Management lesson: when you completely ruin a customers dress 4 days before the wedding you do everything to make it right! Not argue with the customer! You ruined this wedding for me! I will now have to walk around in a dress showing my ankles! Im very disappointed in the service I received & will never purchase another dress from your company. read more
