Just left the store and had a horrible experience my consultant forgot about us and didn't come back around to check up. Had to go ask other associates for dresses and even they seemed to be bothered by us asking for help. Would not recommend this store. Waste a little more gasoline and go to a store that is actually there to help for example Scottsdale location is great learned much lesson. read more

I have to say that David's bridal has terrible customer service. I bought my daughter a bridesmaid dress and it took 3.5 months for us to receive it. Then once received, 2 weeks later the wedding was cancelled due to the pandemic. One week after cancellation I attempted to return the dress in store and then online. They said I only had 14 days to return it so now I am stuck with it. I asked why they are not accommodating people during this very unfortunate pandemic and their answer was simply I don't know but I can't help you. It is mind boggling to me that they can take 3.5 months to deliver a dress but then only give me 14 days to return it. I will never give David's Bridal my business again! read more

I had my bridesmaid go in here to try on dresses and had a terrible experience. She went in during the week without an appointment, but that shouldn't have been an issue because the store was relatively empty. The girls at the store were incredibly rude, didn't help her with the dresses (not even an offer to help her zip even though the store was empty), and even POINTED AND MADE FUN OF HER from the corner of the store. What an unprofessional and demeaning way to treat your customers! She felt so uncomfortable and ended up leaving the store in tears. I will never, ever go to David's Bridal again and hope the girls at this store understand that they should be kind to every woman who walks in. FRAUD ALERT!!! I would give this store a -10 if it were possible. Less than a month ago we purchased 2 dresses for the mothers of the bride. At the time of purchase we were sold a discounted alterations package for a hem from the manager of the store. We were told to get shoes and come back to schedule the alteration. Now mind you, we gave the the date of our wedding as soon as we arrived and they recited it back to us several times. Moving forward, a couple weeks go by and we make an appointment to be measured and they push the appointment time out a week. We go in at our scheduled appointment time and were at that point told that we would have to pay a $60 rush fee for the alterations since we didn't schedule our appointment 2 months in advance. Wait a minute... 2 months in advance? We didn't even buy the dress 2 months in advance. How is it ok for the MANAGER to sell us an alterations package KNOWING the date of the wedding and knowing there is no way we could accommodate that time frame??? This is where things take a turn for the worse. My mother is standing in her dress waiting to get measured as they give her the news about the rush fee. She's confused as there was NEVER a mention of a rush fee or a time frame of when the alterations needed to be scheduled. As she didn't understand she asked to speak to the store manager Taryn Zorz. My mother asks her why there was no mention of the 2 months in advance when we were just sold the dresses and Taryn's response was "It's not possible that my manager didn't tell you." Really Taryn, because YOUR manager sold us the hem package knowing our wedding was in less than 2 months. Maybe she was too busy complaining about the kids that were in the store to mention such an important detail. Then Taryn's solution is the reduce the rush fee to $25, like she has now done us a huge favor after you called my elderly mother a liar. Frustrated my mother stated that they could make this right and do the alterations as $25 isn't going to bankrupt the company. Taryn's response, "Well is $25 going to bankrupt you?" Are you serious? You're going to talk to an elderly woman that way? Where is your customer service skills??? There is no way someone so loose lipped should be the manager of anything. Oh good job Taryn, you know how to recite company policy. Is being belligerent part of your company's policy as well? Apparently that's all Taryn is good for because she's not authorized to give me a refund for the hem package that there was NO WAY to fulfill the time commitment. Let's be clear, this issue is not over paying/losing $25, it's how the situation was handled and how rude Taryn was to my mother. When I showed up she wasn't so brazen. Given our wedding date there was no way we should have been sold that hem package therefore our money should be returned as there will be no service provided due to their error, period. This issue will go to corporate and possibly to the news since they just made an appearance on the news for ruining a bride's dress by messing up the alterations. Taryn is a disgusting excuse for a human being and if this is the way she treats the elderly she should not be allowed to work with the public. read more

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I had a horrible experience here. The "greeter/hostess" grouchily said hello and asked me why I was there and if I had an appointment. I did not schedule an appointment. She then informed me that I could not try on a bridal gown without an appointment. I was not interested in a formal wedding gown and asked if I could please browse the cocktail dresses they had. She said yes but I may not be able to try on because they were so busy. It was Saturday morning they just opened the doors. There was one other lady trying on dresses plus me with 4 sales people. They were not busy. I was allowed to try on 2 dresses, surprisingly. No one helped me or even looked at me when the dresses were on. You are forced to step out of dressing room as there are no mirrors in fitting rooms. I was ignored. It was really awkward. I purchased one dress but alterations were not included. Inside fitting rooms there was a poster stating alterations WERE included. I elected to have alterations done elsewhere as they wanted to charge another $45 just to raise hem. Ridiculous! I wouldn't refer anyone to this place. The women here are snobs who seem to hate their jobs! read more

My daughter wedding is the end of October it's going to be something small and simple. She had her brides maid show up to try on dresses and see what she wants. Kamilah was who she worked with. Kamilah knows when the wedding is and kept bringing out dresses that weren't going to be in until Jan 2021 my daughter told her can you show us what will be in with in a month and she finally did. I recently had a wedding in August and I've never had a problem going there picking dresses alterations nothing. So when my daughter went I thought it would go smooth being they have that it's coming up soon. read more

This was the first time I was going to be wedding dress shopping for my self. I have been to few store back in Cali for other weddings. My experience and this shop started off just okay. The stylist gabby was okay but dress that she was pulling were not the dresses. As gabby was very quite so I'm not sure how she really knew if I liked the dress with out really asking. I had tried in about 7 dresses before the manager Alison came over to help. Alison pulled the next 3 dresses the first one I did not like but we were heading into correct direction with the fabric. She went to pull 2 more. The second one that I tried one from her picks was MY dress! I fell in love. Alison has a great nack for picking wedding dresses. The woman at the front was great! She got me and one of bridesmaids checked in quick. She was also able to be flexible when my other 2 bridesmaids wouldn't be able to arrive for another hour. When I returned, I was checked in quickly and shown where we would be seated. There were two other bride at the time and 4 staff. At many other shops, the consultant will help out and provide suggestions. But our consultant, Samantha, basically gave us our rooms and went about doing other things. When I had visited this location 6 months ago, I was told you cannot just walk in but need an appointment in order to get a consultant to help you. For the entire hour that my girls were there trying on dresses, we probably seen Samantha for a total of 15 minutes and not consecutively. After we had decided on the dresses that the girls wanted, we had tracked down Samantha and let her know our decisions. She said she would check on the info for us and return. My girls were ready to purchase their dresses that day. But after 35 minutes of watching multiple girls walk into the store and being catered to WITHOUT appointments, I was fed up. At this point, yes they were busy (prom season) but now there were at least 8 consultants on the floor now. We were gathering to leave when Samantha returned and asked if we needed anything else.... She did not even provide us with the information that she said she went to get! I just told her no, she handed me her business card and said, "If we wanted to purchase to call." I kept the business card so I could remember her name for this review. But we went home... back to Flagstaff. And ordered online because this was more of a headache than I needed. read more

I wanted to thank Rebecca at the Avondale David's bridal. I originally had purchased my dress at the Glendale location. (wasn't very happy with the customer service) A week later I was uneasy about the dress I got so I decided to stop by the Avondale location and talked to Rebecca. She asked if I would like to try another one on. I did it was beautiful then she asked if I would like to try my dress on, I did. when I came out she had shoes for me and she found the veil I bought. She put me all together (unlike the Glendale location) and walked me over to an aisle of mirrors and I just stood there and well I had my moment that my mom I missed out on at the other store. I asked to have the dress brought to her store to have alterations done. Looking forward to that appointment. I would definitely recommend the Avondale store to anyone looking for your special dress. I had an appointment at 1:30pm and we got there a little late (1:35ish). We were greeted by a lady and asked to sit at the corner and wait to be assisted. After few minutes, she approached us with another lady and said we were 11minutes late and she advised to just reschedule it just so we can get the full 1hr consultation and fitting service. We agreed. When we were trying to look for a better time for it, she became very rude and started raising her voice to us. Wedding Planning is never perfect & getting 6 girls together for a fitting was nearly impossible. So, when we walked into David's Bridal we had no idea of what to expect. Very quickly, we realized time was of the essence. We frantically searched the racks for bridesmaids dresses choosing styles and fabric. Needless to say the Bride was overwhelmed. It seemed like every style we wanted would not make it in on time for the wedding. Then just as all hope was being lost emerged Yuri. Yuri was truly our saving grace. She squeezed us in at the tail end of her shift sized all present bridal party members and provided us with a handful of feasible options. She was realistic, kind, professional and above all else calming! I simply cannot thank Yuri enough for her diligence and attentiveness. How this place has 4 stars, I really don't know. I already found my dress from a cute local boutique in Chandler and I have an upcoming fitting. I need a specific low back corset bra to wear underneath that I saw on their website. I showed the associate an image of my dress and explained what I was looking for. She said she only had 1 option for me and that was the Nubra. I explained to her again what I was looking for and I was told they do not carry any bras other than that. What a joke. I then decided to look at bridesmaids dresses and explained to her my color was burgundy. She brought me over to the section and handed me a dress that was an off pink color, and nothing even close to burgundy. Again, I was told they do not carry that color. Even tho they have a bunch listed online made by them and Vera Wang. WHAT. A. JOKE. My hire some sales associates that actually know bridal. read more

My daughter searched far and wide and purchased her $900 dress a month ago. I was there with her and we were told that the dress would not be ready until May. I called asking if there was an update and they said that they had been calling the past 30 days and were shipping the dress back tomorrow. My daughter was in tears. She has her NCLEX tomorrow. The last thing she needs is to be worried about her wedding dress because they have been calling the wrong phone numbers. No one emailed us as well. Charmaine, the store manager was rude and yelled at me and said that it was not their problem. They said that we had had until tomorrow to pick it up. They would not extend it by another day. I am beyond disgusted and appalled. It was clearly their mistake. They do not believe in basic communication. I will be buying the bridesmaids dresses or the "mother dresses" tomorrow. The absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced at a David's Bridal store. Everything is completely disorganized and I have been told different things by different alterations employees. This store has complete disregard for their customers to the point that they tried to say they didn't have a dress that I had dropped off for alterations. After looking multiple times and getting the manager involved, they found the dress. I was very frustrated by this point to which the manager just shrugged it off. She expressed how it didn't matter that they lost my dress or how many alterations I've had to make due to their mistakes. I would never recommend this store to anyone. I am over 65 years old and Dylan and Alison found the perfect elegant age appropriate dress for me. This was the dress that I always wanted, I had "cut and pasted" (from the web site) and printed 3 pages of various (12) dresses in the style that I thought would work for me, they selected 3 dresses from that list, they were beautiful, but I could not make a decision at that point, then Alison brought a gorgeous, simple very elegant dress and I knew that was the one. They showed a lot of patience, and understanding that for me it was difficult to find the right dress because of my age. My daughter and I went to David's Bridal in Avondale to look at wedding dresses. Our attendant, Gabby, did an amazing job. She truly listened to what my daughter liked, chose dresses based on those ideas, and when she learned what it was about each dress that Emily loved she changed out the next dress until she really found what made her look stunning. With Gabby's help and guidance Emily found her perfect dress and only had to try on five dresses! With as picky as my daughter and I are, having found the perfect dress and only five is a true Testament to Gabby's listening skills and eagerness to find us the perfect dress.We highly recommend David's Bridal , and Gabby in particular, for your special wedding dress shopping day.
