I am not too much of a picky person, so I came in with what I wanted. My consultant was Karely, she was awesome, I am so glad I came in and not just purchase online. She made me feel so comfortable and I did not feel pressured. I look just like a princess in the store. Unformatted there was a party before me who extended their time but she still made me a priority. I was alone, but I couldn't tell from all the women in the store. Karely has great customer service and patience. I will definitely recommend her to anyone that is having a special day and she can help them. I called this location on Monday, 8/22/2016 requesting and appointment for 2 brides. Myself and my fiancé. I stated we needed a lot of help and they told me not to worry, they would take care of everything. We showed up early and checked in. They said our stylist was with someone but at our appointment time we would be helped. Well Meagan came along before time. And as promised she took care of everything. Turns out Meagan is the store manager and she knows her inventory and people quite well. In under an hour she found 2 dresses and accessories for our wedding, we paid for everything and made an appointment for alterations. We highly recommend this store. I had a 4pm appointment yesterday, and I got there early and walked out of the store before 4pm. I had planned to go here to get a prom dress and I thought I was going to find it here, but didn't. Apparently with an appointment, a consultant is to supposed to help you find the "perfect dress". The only treatment I got was "oh you can just look at those dresses on that side of the store" I received no help from any of the employees, they took no measurements etc. I tried on 1 dress, and all I got from someone was, "oh it fits" but honestly it didn't fit perfectly because I would've needed alterations. It was a beautiful dress, but it was way too much money. Also, all of the dresses look like they've been sitting there forever, their inventory is horrible. I understand that our reality is COVID right now, but seriously? I came here 4 years ago for a different occasion and the staff was way more helpful and inventory was superb. All I can say is you lost a sale that you could've had. :( read more

First of all, our consultant was not friendly....AT ALL. Our entire bridal party picked up on the vibe from the beginning of the appointment. Then...and this is not her fault...but nothing we wanted was either available by our date (a month and a half out) or it wasn't in stock in the size we wanted to try on...so the entire experience was very frustrating. We had also asked if there was a way to see if items on the clearance rack were available at other stores, and our consultant made ZERO effort to even answer that question. I walked in to the store, with an appt, sooo nervous since I had a bad experience at a very upscale shop in North Sct. Also, very nervous about finding the right one, that one dress I had tons of pics of in my binder. I was greeted and my consultant Alison Rafacz assisted me right away. She was outgoing, nice, polite and attentive. I was there with my twin sister, who is my MOH, and we both felt super happy with the service. I have to say Alison went above and beyond to help us. I told her my vision and she made it come true a thousand percent on the very first dress she picked out for me. It was a fairy tale and I was the princess. I had some tears and a never ending smile. You HAVE to request Alison. She is so amazing at her job. She truly knows whats going on and even helped with the bridesmaid dresses. After trying on a few more dresses I ended up going with the VERY FIRST one that Alison picked out for me. The entire look was complete and soooo beautiful. Such a terrible experience today! My husband and I walked in, checked in with the lady at the front and she told us to head over to the dresses and someone would be there shortly. We walked over, found the dress I was looking for, so I walked into the dressing room (no one had come to help us yet), tried on the dress and still no one came over to help with the fitting. The store had maybe two other customers there and six employees. Multiple employees walked by and asked those around us if we needed help, yet they just walked right past us. Such a rude experience! As we walked out after not getting helped there were four employees just standing around talking in the front. I couldn't believe the lack of help! read more

Absolutely love this store and their staff! My consultant was Karely and she was so wonderful to work with and extremely patient with me (I am very indecisive). She helped me narrow down the styles I thought I wanted and after some feedback on my likes and dislikes she found me the perfect dress that I would've never picked out for myself but fell in love once I tried it on! Everyone else at the store was very sweet even though I wasn't working with them directly. They have such a wide variety of beautiful styles ranging $100 and up so I recommend it to anybody! I was also just here a couple of months ago for my friends appointment and her consultant was also amazing and we all had such a great experience then too. I purchased my dress last September and loved it. My appointment went great, I adored Dylan who helped me find exactly what I was looking for and my dress was delivered far before the expected date! Unfortunately, I had a horrible second appointment. When I went for my alterations, my two biggest concerns were guaranteeing that the corset wouldn't show (since the one they instructed me to purchase to go with the dress showed at the top and in the back) and to alter the sleeves (spaghetti strap to a flowy shoulder strap). I worked with two seamstresses and it was an awful experience. I was there for 3 1/2 hours and I felt completely stressed the entire time. When I expressed concern about my corset showing in the back of my dress they told me that "my veil would cover that part". Helpful. When I expressed concern that my corset was still peeking out at the top, and obviously was a visible undergarment, they shrugged and said they would maybe attach clasps to hold it in place and that it "might" work. I wasn't asked if I would like my train bustled at the bottom of my dress or up near my waist, and after it was bustled at my waist and I explained that I didn't want it bustled there, I had to explain what I wanted a second time and was told "it's a lot harder to do the bustle at the bottom like that" and could feel their irritation as they redid the bustle pinning. When I mentioned the sleeve alteration, a piece of fabric was put against my arm half heartedly and when I showed a picture of what I wanted, I received another shrug. I left in tears because my wedding is six weeks away and I felt as though I wasn't offered any options or help to make my dress look the way it should for my wedding day. Asking for my underwear to not be visible seemed reasonable. I am still so shocked I was told to cover up my underwear with my veil as I walked down the aisle. When I came back to pick up my dress, the corset still showed, even with the clasps, in the front and the back. My bustle was done incorrectly and the top layer of my dress was four or five inches off of the ground and showed the entire under layer of the dress. When I broke down and explained to a new seamstress (she wasn't at my original appointment) how frustrated I was and that I couldn't leave my dress with them for another two weeks for them to redo the bustle, she offered to stay late and fix the bustle immediately so I could take the dress home that night. I live almost two hours away and I am so thankful she offered to help, even though she wasn't the original seamstress who worked on my dress. I am grateful to have found a different seamstress who is helping me alter my sleeves, as well as work with me to find new undergarments since I am unable to use the corset I was told to purchase to wear with my dress at Davids Bridal. I am shocked that so little was done to make my dress even function for my wedding, let alone be my dream dress. My bridal party purchased their dresses here already, but will be going to a different shop for their alterations. I am in a wedding in the spring, a bridal party of 8, who all also purchased their dresses here and will be using a different seamstress as well. It's unfortunate to have had such a great experience dress shopping and then to have to waste so much money and time with such an apathetic alterations appointment. I feel frustrated that I spent money on alterations that didn't work, as well as a corset that I won't be wearing and can't return. read more

Yesterday I went in to try on dresses with my family and bridesmaid and was helped by Nicole. She was truly amazing and I would recommend her to anyone. She was very helpful, didn't pressure us at all and gave us time to see every dress on me and get opinions I wouldn't have had it any other way. Valerie was absolutely aaaaaaamazing! I came with my mom and 2 sisters, and I came with a list of things that I did NOT want in a dress (strapless, mermaid, to much embroidery.) All of the dresses were pretty and looked good on my plus size 18 figure. Towards the end Valerie asked if I'd be willing to try on a mermaid style dress, she envisioned that it would look amazing on my body type. She was right! i feel so fortunate to have come to ''this'' Avondale location of David's Bridal. I worked with the the most wonderful manager named Alison Harding (and her coworker Shay). Alison is a very good representative for Davids Bridal - she listens closely, is a problem-solver and a true professional. She determined that I needed a petite size rather than a regular size, confirmed my chosen sihouette, and spent the appropriate amount of time with me, as well as my bridesmaid, making sure that everything was just right for both of us so that we would not have any regrets. I was finally able to choose a dress that looked AND felt great on as well as a dress for the rehearsal dinner. Alison made me feel like I had a friend who understood everthing 'bridal dress shopping'. She is exceptionally warm, caring and really knows her business. Thank you Chardonnay!!! Setting up the appointment was easy online. The store had a big selection, they got me into the dressing room right away. I was able to view different styles that I had picked out same to/similar to online (suggest going online ahead of time and saving your favorites). You do only get an hour and it goes by quickly! I picked out a dress and ended up sleeping on it and kept thinking about another more expensive dress that I also had tried on and loved. Went back the next day (I booked another appointment but got there early) Chardonnay got me in right away again to try on both. I did end up exchanging the dress I bought for another which was an easy process. Thanks for caring about me as the customer and taking the time to go over dresses. At the age of 75 I dreaded the thought of looking for a cocktail dress for my son's wedding in Malibu over looking the Pacific Ocean held at an estate. I had looked through numerous web sites and even ordered a couple of dresses of which I had to return. Looking at David's web site I saw they carried a few plus size dresses. Rather than order again online, I decided to visit the store. When I entered I was directed to sign in and a young lady escorted me to the cocktail dresses and look at a couple for me. She then left and I never saw her again. Very disappointing and I was ready to walk out. However, a young lady by the name of Alison asked if I needed help. I was so happy to see someone that actually wanted to help me. She asked if I had been measured and I told her no. She immediately pulled out a tape measure and said I was looking for the wrong size. I was so happy to hear I was a couple sizes smaller than I thought I actually was. I could not have asked for better customer service than Alison. She showed me a couple of dresses, took me to a dressing room and then proceeded to bring me a few more. That was what I was used to living in CA going to Neiman-Marcus, etc. I finally found exactly what I was looking for with the expertise of Alison. I walked out of David's with a new cocktail dress, new evening clutch and a new pair of shoes. It all went together so well!! I would not hesitate at all to recommend David's for anyone looking for a gown for every occasion and be sure to ask for Alison. Everyone was so pleasant. When I came home I discovered a small hole in the lace jacket. I called and they said "no problem, just bring it back in". I took it back two days later and it only took a couple of minutes for the seamstress to repair the jacket. The seamstress (sorry I didn't get her name) brought it out to me and showed me the repair and asked if I had discovered any other problems. I told her no and loved the work she had done. read more

My sister and I went in to find wedding dresses. We scheduled our appointments back to back. The lady that was helping us was not very friendly and did not seem like she wanted to help us. She did not ask what my budget was or ask to see pictures and did not ask too many questions on what I was looking for. After every dress she asked if I was ready to get out of the dress even though I made it clear that I did not like the dress I was in. She also kept walking away and would just leave me in a dress and I would have to stand there awkwardly waiting. I did find a dress that day and she did not ask if I wanted to buy the preservation package and did not give me very much detail on what will happen next once I ordered the dress. When I went back to pick up dress they made me feel like I was inconveniencing them when they asked me if I wanted to try on my dress to make sure it fit. The lady that had me try on my dress made me put on my self and told my mom that she would just zip me up, then walked away. She did not ask if I was going to need alterations or try to schedule an appointment. When it came to my sister she didn't really ask what she was looking for or if she had any idea what she was looking for. She kept walking away from her as well and my sister had to stay in a dress that did not fit her and that was not adjusted to fit her. She did not buy a dress that day. We were hoping to come in and have someone that wanted to help us find our dream wedding dresses and that would make it a fun day. read more

WHEN DID DAVIDS BRIDAL START SERVING FRIED CHICKEN??? Today at my sister in laws fitting we were both horribly bothered by the smell of FRIED CHICKEN! What!? you ask? As we further shopped around we discovered a gentleman eating and drinking (cole slaw included) a fried chicken meal on the fitting room ottomans. I was VERY surprised that the LEADERSHIP TEAM would allow the audacity of this cleary obsene, ghetto and slovenly act to take place in what should be a pristine sancuary of Beautiful and Elegantly displayed BRIDAL GOWNS. Maybe soon you can just bring a cooler in for your bridal party's dress shopping event. I hope the Leadership Team will consider ( No Food No Drinks ) signage for their Clearly Ignorant and Ghetto Clientele. As many times as I had to go to the store in the last month before my wedding, they each time greeted me with a smile and very willing to help! So each time- my experience with David's bridal has gotten worse. I knew David's bridal reputation for being a pain- 10years prior when my older sister got married and they gave us the run around, however as I was in a different city- I figured I'd try again 1st Gown Trial- went fine. I'm a busty girl- and let the girl know upfront I would understand if they didn't have my exact size. She did with no problems both under clothes and dresses, and all turned out fine. We didnt buy that day- as we were still looking around and making decisions. She did have a second bride toward the end of my session (which I found odd- since I hadn't taken that long), but I figured its a Saturday during bridal season and we're nearly done- I get it. Gown Order- I ordered it 4 days after my gown trial. Took a little bit but they managed to piece together my order information based on the notes and said they'd send me an email with all the info (which is wrong, they don't email order info). My dress arrived perfectly- no issues other than they didn't even steam or press it which I found odd. Accessories Appointment/First fitting- about two months after my dress arrived I setup an accessories/dress fitting. Figuring since I'd gone through David at the trial, and they'd done a fine job till now- They deserved my business. Wrong. First, though I'd made an appointment, the girl who was helping me was also helping a bride try on dresses. Not wanting to take attention away from the bride, I did my best to try not to be demanding. Since I hadn't had any issues being busty at my first fitting- I hadn't thought to say anything before this one. 8 corsets later, after they had yelled my size over the wall multiple times questioning if I actually knew it (Yes I do know my own size folks), and kept coming in/out of the dressing room - and continually talked about me right outside the door, sharing it with every girl that worked there, including calling the girl I did the original fitting with in case she "might remember 2 months later", and informing the entire store of the fact that I didn't fit into a standard corset (not what a bride wants to hear). Finally, 30min later, with me nearly in tears and ready to walk out, they found one that worked for the fitting- and the manager advised she'd order the correct size. They let me know alterations was running behind and would be just a few moments, could I sit in my dress and wait? Sure. So I sat. My appointment was at 5:30. 45min later of sitting in front of all the people and the other bridal parties that now knew my size as well as I did, they finally took me to my fitting. My seamstress saved the day- sweet, thoughtful, and obviously happy with her profession- we did great. I thought "Ok- if this is all I have left with these people, I can do this". Wrong again Final Fitting- Again, I have an appointment setup. I walk through the door, all my items in hand, and am greeted by a slightly harried worker. Yes I'm here for my final fitting. Oh good, are you Bride X? No... i'm a few min early though (3min to be exact). They tell me- the bride scheduled 15min before me is just now being taken back. Again, not wanting to step on another girl's moment, I say No problem- and wander off to look. David's bridal however had other ideas. Roughly 2min later another girl comes to get me and says they're just going to do both fittings at once. Considering the size of the space, not a wise choice, but fine. I go back, and begin getting into my underthings. I hear the other bride mention buttons and she goes out to check her items- as my girl comes in to help me. As we're working on me in my dress- it dawns on the other bride and myself, we're both here for a final fitting at the same time in the same dress. Now, while we brides know- if you go through David's bridal- you most likely aren't going to be the only one with your dress, but believe me that no girl needs the reminder she's not "the only one" while standing in her bridal dress. Now insert the awkwardness of seeing someone else in your dress on top of the tiny space, where you're trying to do the stand/walk without bumping into each other, as well as the inevitable moment when they rebag your dresses and you have to verify you got YOUR dress, not the other girls'. Add to this the attitudes and slightly annoyed look on everyone's face that works there, and you'll understand why I would not recommend this place. The reason for the 2 stars? I did like the original seamstress, my dress did turn out beautiful, and did fit correctly. Though, considering I was a perfect designer size and all they had to do was hem and bustle it? I don't know thats so much from them, and not the designer themselves. All in all- prep yourselves ladies for a hassle, and to feel like your "special day" is just another dollar to David's Bridal. read more

I called prior to this review so I wouldn't have to write this review but since I never got a response/follow up my issue must have not been taken seriously so here I am. I spent well over $300 in total for a bridesmaid dress. I waited months for it to come in and then I went and had it altered by them. By the end of the night my very expensive investment had fallen apart. The center of the chest came apart, the clasp they had sewn apart fell off. My breasts were pretty much exposed before the night was even over forcing me to put a cardigan over my very expensive $300 dress. I called and spoke with a manager that week named Aliyah, Elia (not sure of spelling) who told me a regional manager would reach out and if not her someone else from the team would to see how this could be resolved. Basically my $300 went down the drain. I would think a business would have the audacity to follow up with me (they have my name and number, it was confirmed). I shouldn't have to keep calling. But I guess as long as this chain wedding store has their money they are happy. read more

Absolutely EVERYONE at this location has been fantastic. Katie, Allison & Elena (in alterations) literally saved my wedding day. I had a slight panic attack after choosing my dress 9 months before my wedding, after doubts & putting the dress back on for my alterations appointment just 53 days before my wedding, & realizing how awful the dress looked on me, Katie Allison & Elena did everything plus some to ensure I will walk down the aisle feeling comfortable, confident & beautiful. They helped me try on a few other dresses before finally finding the right one, like I said they literally saved my wedding day. Maybe its just that I've been in the store like a zillion times, but they remember me each time I've come in. All of the ladies here are more than willing to help & they're very friendly, I felt like such a burden, but they reassured I was not. They seem to really enjoy what they do & making people happy at such a special time in their lives. I went looking for my bridesmaids dresses here and Brenda was very helpful. We didn't have an appointment and we were almost turned away. My tia asked if we could at least look around and they allowed us to do so. Moments later Karely ended up helping us. She was very friendly and kind. My sister who is also my bridesmaide felt very pleased on Karelys honesty about how the dress looked on her. All the girls working there had great personalities. I returned two more times to get more of my bridesmaids in to try dresses. I did not buy my wedding dress from here and i regret it because they have an amazing selection in my opinion. I went to AZ Bridal and their costumer service was not the greatest. I was the only costumer and i didn't get the proper attention. Davids bridal was incredibly helpful. I ended up going back a third time that same week and walked out with a reception dress. read more

I came in for accessories and I am horrible with names but there was one lady in particular that did a fabulous job helping me find a rhinestone belt for my dress. She was an older women with blonde hair I believe, always very well dressed and accessorized herself, super cute necklaces/earrings etc!! I wish I remembered her name because deserves a ton of recognition. Also, deserving of recognition was my alterations appointment. Elena (spelling?) was absolutely amazing!!! So 5 days ago I walked into this location without an appt with my 1 year old in tow. I needed a formal special occasion dress for a red carpet event tomorrow. When I walked in I was immediately greeted by someone who appreciated my humor when I asked if she could work miracles. After looking around for about 5 minutes she paired me up with Chardonnay who was FABULOUS!!!!! She helped me find a couple dresses to try on and I bought the 2nd one I tried on. My selection was a little more limited because I wanted to stay right around $100 and didn't want anything that needed alterations. DB has pretty reasonable prices too as I even saw one for $89 just not the right color for the occasion. The dressing rooms and mirrors were great because it's pretty hard to try on formal dresses without a mirror! I had gone to a different store in the mall the day before, had a terrible experience, and left the store without buying anything. I had a wonderful experience at DB and so much stress was relieved after finding the right dress, at the right price, no alterations needed! They didn't even mind that my 1 yr old came with. They're def more than just a bridal store and I recommend them to everyone! read more

Scheduled a same day appointment. Not a big wedding person so we just wanted a simple dress for our 20 yr vow renewal. I arrived a few minutes before the appointment as I usually do and was immediately greeted and started on the fitting. I had all 5 ladies to myself and boy was it a treat. You can tell they really like their jobs. Genuine happiness and willingness...almost a yearning desire to help. They were all so very pleasant. So pleasant I plan to bake them all individual cheesecakes and I don't do that often especially for strangers. Fabulous experience. Almost makes me wish I were planning for a wedding because I know they would do their best to make it a success. Well...not really. My mother and I found her dress at David's Bridal - Avondale. While the ladies who helped when trying on dresses were wonderful, our biggest rave is for Hala in alterations. Hala made recommendations for the dress that we wouldn't have thought of ourselves and in the end, the dress fit perfectly and my mom was beyond excited, and felt beautiful which is what mattered most. The reason for only 4 stars - When picking up the dress after alterations were complete, we noticed some stains on the bottom half of the dress. Hala was sweet to try to remove them while we were there, but they did not come out. We now have to pay for dry cleaning and pray the stains are removed. For a brand new dress and alterations totaling over $300, we would have expected more help on this from David's Bridal. Especially with having purchased my wedding dress and two other dresses with them within the past 6 months. read more

She pulled the perfect belt to add that extra something I wanted. She also found the perfect veil. Everyone at the gateway crossing location were friendly and attractive.
