I tried on possibly 12 dresses - no exaggeration - and she was just as nice as she was when she first greeted me at the door. The personnel at the alteration department, not very patient and seemed in a hurry and irritated that I couldn't do the dates she wanted to set me up for a fitting. Hence, a four star rating. We had a horrible experience here over the past weekend. Not one person smiled, or made us feel welcome and that was only the beginning. The woman who was supposed to be helping us did absolutely nothing. She didn't recommend any dresses, give any suggestions or even help us when we were trying things on. She just carried our dresses back for us. I don't think I saw her smile once... I overheard her telling someone that "none of her brides have bought anything today", which I wouldn't doubt for a second. I had high hopes for David's Bridal, but I was disappointed. We arrived at 11am on a Friday for an appointment, but they were late on opening the doors and we were not helped until 11:30. Our consultant was friendly, but he immediately told me that David's did not have the style I was looking for (flowy, destination style), which was off putting. He was also helping 3 other brides....which I was expecting a little more attention on a Friday during the workday. I only found one dress that I liked, but did not end up purchasing it. Ok so my experience was a little rough. First off I went there to find a dress for a ball. The girl who assisted me was nice and brought me a few choices to pick from. I had a tough time fitting into their gowns from the show room as I'm only 5'1 but I figured I'd have to get any gown hemmed. I tried on a few and she kept balking at me telling me the dress I had on was the one. Mind you I wasn't quite comfortable in it as it seemed it was very prommy but I took her word for it and bought it. With only two weeks to the ball, I had to hurry up and buy one to give the seamstress time to alter it. I was then told at the cashier that the $230 dress was not refundable but could only be exchanged for something else. This of course only after I asked. I hesitated but bought it anyway. Sure enough friends and family did not agree with my choice. So I went back the following weekend (a 35 mile drive) and hoped to god they would exchange. They did. No hassles. I picked another dress exactly $100 less so Jeff said get something else. I found the perfect Vera wang shoes, last on the rack and my size! Everyone at this store was pleasant and accommodating. Nonetheless, I don't think I'll be buying another dress there since they don't refund, even if the dress has never been worn or altered and the tags were still on and it had only been 7 days since I bought it. They could've easily put it right back on the rack! Even car dealers will take a car back after 30 days! Need to change this DB! Your losing customers fast! I went to David's with my friend who is getting married. She had a bridal gown appointment, and I had a bridesmaid dress appointment. The consultant asked basic questions, and from watching X number of "Say Yes To The Dress" episodes I knew how to help my friend answer. Our consultant's name was Sonia. I felt she was knowledgeable about the dresses and after taking a look around at some of the other consultants/appointments felt that she was probably one of the better people to work with. My friend probably tried on about 6-8 dresses and did pick the "one". The overall experience at David's is not as luxurious as you might want. There were teeny bopper prom girls all over the place. They should keep them off the main stage away from the brides. It was obnoxious seeing trashy girls in neon yellow dresses parading all over the place with midriffs and cleavage hanging out. Especially in the location of Maryland this David's is located. All in all, it was OK. Good prices, good service. read more

I wanted to leave a review of the amazing service I received from my consultant, Earline Molock (807867). I met Earline for my first visit on 11/23. After a very stressful and underwhelming experience at the Bowie location, I decided to visit the Glen Burnie store by myself to try on some dresses alone. Right from the start, Earline was welcoming, friendly, and eager to help me. I would never have guessed I'd find THE dress on that day, but without my mom and sister there, I stuggled with deciding whether or not to buy it. There was a major discount on the dress ending that day, and I was very overwhelmed (to the point of tears in my dressing room) knowing that I wouldn't be able to afford the dress if I walked out on it. Earline was so attentive and helpful and tried to make the decision as easy as possible. I ended up putting a deposit down so I could come back and try it on for my family. That second visit was yesterday, 12/1, where I narrowed my choices down to two wildly different dresses and felt like I'd never be able to decide. Earline asked me questions about how I felt and helped answer any questions I had about the fit, alterations, bustle, etc. I ultimately went with the dress I put the deposit on and got to ring the bell! Earline was right there the whole appointment and I cannot thank her enough for her patience and understanding. She is a wonderful consultant and you are lucky to have her in your staff. Now I am be in the minority here, but all 3 of my visits to this location have been nothing but friendly, inviting, and exciting. Granted, all of the visits took place on early-mid weekday afternoons, and I am sure the weekends are packed like a meathouse, but from my experiences, I have really enjoyed working with the ladies of DB. My consultants Brae and Candace were fun, spunky, and eager to help me make a decision. I was often one of the only brides trying on gowns, so I had lots of attention drawn to me when I emerged from the dressing room and stepped onto the platform. Employees gave me honest and positive feedback and compliments, and their kind words were appreciated. Many of the sample sizes fit me well, so I am very fortunate that I will need very little alteration. There is a lot of variety in the entire store, and I was very pleased to find a dress that I liked and fit my budget. There was even an additional percentage discount that applied AND I was able to use a coupon I got at a bridal expo. Woohoo! The only downside to the store was a 45-minute phone conversation that took place with about 3 different associates. I kept getting placed on hold and switched over from person to person when all I wanted to do was find out if a certain style of dress was in stock. After nearly an hour, I was told that it wasn't, so you can imagine my surprise when I went into the store and Candace told me that it was there AND it was in my size! I know that computer systems are not always reliable, but the 45-minute call was a little on the extreme side. Luckily, my face-to-face interaction with the consultants and employees helped to offset the one negative experience I had here. If you are bridal shopping, I would suggest going here even if you don't want to buy from here. It's a fun experience and the consultants will help you feel special and pretty before your big day! read more

I originally got my bridesmaids dress from here in May. I then gained some weight and couldn't fit into the dress. DB has a no exchange or refund policy, but they made an exception for me. I originally tried on [bridesmaids] dresses about 6 months before the wedding (to select style options), but made the purchase about 1.5 months before the wedding. THAT was when I found out that it could take up to 3 months for my dress to come in because it "was a 12 week dress"!!!!! WHY WHY WHY wasn't this communicated 6 months before???? (Maybe it was because no one actually helped me with my fitting. The woman that was "assigned" to me was busy taking care of others & never once checked on me. Even so, it is doubtful I would have been pre-warned about the lead time needed for ordering.) Fast-forward to September, when I was ordering the dress: The warehouse did not have my size in stock, so I ordered the next size up with the thought that it would need to be altered to fit. I feel this was a gross disservice to the me-- the customer-- to be in a predicament like this. I was told the original delivery date would be Oct 28 (three days before I had to leave town with the dress!!!), but they would put a rush on the dress & probably have it within the week. They did not. Then I called the next week. It was still not there. I physically went into the store to discuss this with someone, and I stood there while she called someone "to put a rush on the dress" that they should have already done before. I was told it would be in on Friday, and I would receive an email and a phone call when the dress came in. I did not. (I even checked spam email just in case.) I called on the following Sunday, which is when I found out that it had in fact arrived. I was able to get in there that day for a fitting because I needed the dress in less than 2 weeks -- which of course was an additional "rush" charge on the alterations. One thing slightly on the "plus" side is that the sizing is not as consistent as it should be. Therefore, the one size up that I had ordered was not too loose to require alterations. Instead, I only paid for getting it hemmed ($60) plus the rush fee ($25). I'm also sure there is some sort of commission scale in the store, because the associates are supposed to help you. When I was asked who assisted me, and I said that no one did, the female cahier put some guy's name on my receipt as my sales associate. I have no clue who this person was, but I am guessing he received something "for his efforts" on my behalf. Note to brides: verify the correct date of the event with the store, because they never had the date right for this event. The wedding was Fri, Nov 6, but the store records showed Sat, Nov 7. I told them multiple times the date they had was wrong, but they never corrected it in their system. Apparently nobody believes in Friday weddings (?). read more

Wow! I'm getting married and they definitely made the "Find the perfect dress" super stressful! First the lady that was helping me was gone for at least 20', then the manager "forgot" to mention that if I hold the dress that I like for more than 10 days they will charge me 10% OF THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF THE DRESSES THAT I CHOSE! So I guess the deposit and the money I upfront them, wasn't enough. Then I bought a dress from David's bridal online store bc they didn't have it and the manager said "We are totally different ". But the person that was just helping me kept in suggesting to buy everything online bc they didn't have "my size"! I'm a 6 btw!!!!!! I'd heard mixed reviews, and I set my expectations low, assuming that I would get a feel for a style that I liked, and then would go on to a small boutique to find "the dress" afterwards. I was fortunate on two things: One: it wasn't crazy busy when I went (a Saturday morning at 11am!), which made the whole experience much more relaxed. Two: I got paired up with Tiffany as my consultant. She actually took the time to not just listen, but actually HEAR what it was I wanted in a dress, and she patiently and thoughtfully suggested dresses for me and helped guide me to a dress that felt just right. Here is the letter I wrote to David's Bridal Corporate office on 9-5-13 To Whom It May Concern: My name is Elizabeth McKinney and I am getting married on May 4, 2014. On Sun. Aug, 25, 2013, I had a 1:30 pm appt at the David's bridal located at 6320 Ricthie highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061. I was also told it was the biggest store in the US so I felt I would find my dress here. The following is a detailed account as to my experiences shopping for my wedding dress at David's Bridal in Glen Burnie, MD. On Sun. August 25th, two of my friends had arrived at 1pm. I arrived exactly at 1:30p with my maid of honor and another friend. As I walk into the store, I see chaos. There are DJs, limo reps, honeymoon reps, caterers and other vendors all in a tiny space right as you walk in. I wasn't aware that there was a bridal event that day. No one had informed me that vendors would be there. Ten minutes after I walk in, a store consultant asks me my name and hands me some forms to verify my information. She says someone will be with me shortly and that there is an event and that my consultant is finishing up with another bride. I say OK. I ask if it's ok if my entourage and I look through the racks while we wait for my consultant. My friends seeing how busy it is suggest I wait by the desk until my consultant shows up. Shortly after 2pm, my consultant, Ziomara introduces herself and shows me my favorites list that has been printed out from the website. Without discussing what type of ceremony I am having, how may in my party or any of the intimate details that go along in wedding planning, she proceeds to tell me to choose five of the 20 or so dresses on my list . She says she is still working with another bride but that they are almost finished and then she will have time for me. She leads us to the back where chairs and mirror are and several brides are modeling their dresses. She tells us to go ahead and find 5 dresses in the racks for me to try on. We end up with 7 but at this time I do not have a dressing room and it is now 2:30pm. I get a dressing room. She asks me what bra size I am and brings me two different size undergarments to wear. She says she'll be back as the bride she was working with has now picked her dress. She comes back and helps me with the dress. Each time I get a dress on, she helps me in it, excuses herself and attends to the bride she was helping before me. It seems that the entire wedding party for the other bride is now trying on dresses and she is now more concerned in finding dresses for the party than helping me. We waited for her several times to bring the same dresses in our dressing rooms in different sizes yet she seemed to always be at the register. She brought 2 veils, fluffed them up, stood back and walked away. She didn't ask what shoes I was wearing, how my hair would be or what jewelry I was considering. My friends are helping me with a veil and different sashes- flowered, colored & rhinestone- while my consultant is repeatedly off helping the previous bride and her party. There was another consultant, a male, who was asking all the right questions of his bride- what do you like about this dress? What don't you like? How does it make you feel? Etc. I did not receive any of that from my consultant. My consultant repeatedly told me she would be back to help me in each dress and only asked if I liked the dresses I was wearing at the time. I was told my appt was for an hour and a half. Why was the bride before me and her wedding party taking up my appt. I could have rescheduled my appt had I known that I was not going to have one-on-one attention that day. In the end while we waited another ten minutes for her to come after I tried on the last dress, we decided to leave. I found Ziomara at the register with the previous bridal party. She handed me her card, half-heatedly apologized and said to give her a call. For what? Round 2 of the same sales tactics?I'm very glad my daughters were not with me because I would hate for them to feel this is what they are to expect when their time comes when they search for their dresses. This morning I received an email asking me about my experience bridal gown shopping. Disappointed is too nice a term. I have been waiting for nine years for my fiancé to propose and have been planning the wedding of my dreams in my head since I was 8 years old. I was in 2 weddings last year and am aware as to how special the bride is made to feel as she is looking for the dress that will make her feel regal on the most special day of her life. The lack of attention and care I received while shopping for a gown has tainted my experience and I feel as though I were robbed of a special experience. read more

I came here on a Saturday with just my mom to find my wedding dress. When I first walked in, it was VERY overwhelming. There were people EVERYWHERE! I instantly thought it was not going to be a great experience, but I still tried to have an open mind. My bridal consultant came over and she was SUPER friendly and nice. She took us over to the fitting room area and had us wait in the chairs around the stage where everyone was showing off their dresses to their families. She gave us some books of the dresses in the store so we could get an idea of what I wanted while she finished up with the appointment before us. It was finally my turn..YAY. My consultant was great with listening to what I wanted and bringing me dresses within my budget. I only tried on about 9-10 dresses and ended up buying the second dress I had tried on. My consultant was awesome with making me feel great in every dress and I love that she was honest with me when I put on dresses that didn't look great on me ( I asked her to be honest with me) Some of the Cons: They could make the setting of the store a little more relaxing and little less chaotic. I personally was very uncomfortable getting on a stage with multiple brides and bridesmaids while many people sat around whispering and judging everyone up there. This had nothing to do with me, but with what I noticed about some of the other people in there. I noticed that there were a lot of consultants in there that didn't focus on one person. Some were not dressed appropriately and seemed like they had no clue what they were doing. I definitely lucked out with my consultant. I really don't like that they will not do my alterations. I just want the front of my dress to be altered to be a little bit higher in the front, but they said it is too much of a custom alteration, so now I have to go find someone else to do my alterations. Other than the few Con's, it was a great experience. They have a lot of dresses to choose from and if you luck out with the right consultant, you will definitely find your dress and enjoy doing it! :) read more

I reluctantly went to David's Bridal because I like to avoid chain stores and shop small. I was shopping for a prom dress for my daughter. I didn't make an appointment and they were busy but Candace helped us from start to finish. She wasn't pushy but offered great suggestions and made sure we were happy and my daughter found the perfect dress. The staff walking around also made sure that we were happy even though they weren't assigned to us. They created a very welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. We actually bought 2 dresses. The dress I got for my wedding was beautiful! It came in earlier than estimated, the fitting and alterations went perfectly and I was highly satisfied with the end result. I've been there probably ten times for my wedding, between bridesmaids and myself. The first dress-buying outing was wonderful--Kim Davis is awesome! She really knew what dress would look best on me and she made me feel beautiful. The thrird time I went and found "my dress", my consultant even stayed late after the store closed to complete the sale. The other times with my bridesmaids, their consultants were not good. They weren't knowledgeable about the dress styles and materials and alterations. One of my bridesmaids was told the dress I wanted for them was maternity! Not true! Also, one of my bridesmaids was told her dress could be altered, but because of the material, it could not be-so she was stuck with an uncomfortable dress to wear because the wedding date was so close. Another time, we were 5 minutes late for our appointment and we were told they couldn't take us because they were closing soon--in 25 minutes!!!! We weren't even allowed to get the dresses ourselves and try them on. They were nasty to us about letting us into a dressing room since we weren't assigned a consultant. We did it anyway and got way farther by ourselves than with their help. Every time we went there the employees were all huddled around the service desk, being loud and obnoxious and carrying on conversations with each other and basically ignoring customers. Overall, the pricing for the accessories like veils and jewelry and shoes and hairpieces are ridiculously expensive. I found comparable items on Amazon or Etsy for 50-60% less. I would let family and friends know how the service is before they try going there but bridal stores are few and far between. read more

This is my second experience with this David's Bridal. My first time was horrible, but now as a bride I decided to go in with a clear mind. I met my consultant Earline and started picking out dresses. She was double booked for the first half of the appointment but that didn't bother us at all. It allowed some of my bridesmaids to get involved and help get me in/out of some dresses which was a special moment. Earline was amazing. She definitely made my experience everything I had imagined it would be. We had fun and we found a dress! When we went to check out, there were some issues as there were the last time I was there, but Earline came back up to the front and did her best to sort it out. We purchased a wedding gown, and 4 bridesmaid dresses, at good prices. UNTIL the alterations! It is costing more than the cost of the dresses for hemming and alterations! That is ridiculous. Very misleading. I guess it's buyer beware and ask up front about alterations! Plus all of the dresses were way too long to begin with. Are all bridal shops like this? We signed an agreement for alterations and money changed hands. The following afternoon DB informed my fiancé that they refused to complete the alterations we agreed to and paid for. David's Bridal refunded our money and basically told us, "Good Luck." with only two months until our wedding date. DB wasted our time and forced us to find another place to have alterations done with only weeks to go. I firmly believe David's Bridal backed out of our agreement because we didn't buy a brand-new dress from them. The dress was purchased from DB many years ago, and their excuse is that if they ruin the dress (fire, flood, negligence, etc.), an exact replacement cannot be made. We were upfront with them about the dress when we made our appointment months ago, and we were never told this would be a problem until now. ALSO: This is the same David's Bridal listed at 6322 Ritchie Hwy (with a 2.5 star rating). Obviously this shop is trying to bury its poor reputation by creating a new Yelp listing. read more

The Glen Burnie location is a location I have visited over the years. This time I went I was utterly disappointed. Im getting married and decided to go in with my mom and maid of honor. Dawn was my consultant for the day. Her greeting was clear, are you here to play in dresses or spend money? I was annoyed from the greeting and was already ready to leave. But I was encouraged by my friend to just stay. I picked out a few dresses and then had to wait for her to assist me. Once she did she KINDA seemed interested in helping me. I did find the dress I wanted and I asked what my options were for purchasing... I was told to put it on the David's credit card or pay fully today. My mom intervened and said no we are putting it on layaway. This option wasn't one of the options until my mom Spoke up. I was again annoyed . ASK FOR JEFF!!!!! Bought my wedding gown yesterday along with my daughter's Maid Of Honor gown. Jeff is WONDERFUL!!!! He's energetic, sweet, attentive, hilarious and KNOWS HIS STUFF. Plus he has the ability to REALLY help narrow down tough choices. He read my facial expressions and body language and pointed me toward the gown my heart was quietly leaning toward. He noticed a difference in me the three times I had my chosen gown on. Without much for him to verbally go on, as I LOVED all three of my final choices, he PAID ATTENTION TO ME as I had on each of the three gowns I was stuck on. HE NAILED IT!! Even my husband-to-be gravitated toward the pictures of the gown I purchased. My husband to be was on the phone and wasn't even there for Jeff to personally interact with. PLUS Jeff put up with me for FIVE HOURS and NEVER once seemed to be less than enthusiastic. He also has the graceful ability to handle more than one customer at a time in a profession where his customers are ALWAYS going to be "NEEDY". I fully expected not to receive outstanding customer service, but I did not expect that I would be completely ignored throughout my entire appointment. I made an appointment in advance for 11am (right when the store opened) and signing in was very easy. There was quite a crush of people eager to try on dresses, so I signed in as instructed and was then told "feel free to browse, we will come find you." 20 minutes later, no one had come to see me, so I went back to the front desk, where the flustered consultant who'd signed everyone in apologized (sort of) and whisked me away to meet my actual person, a guy named Troy. I didn't really mind working with a male consultant, but I DID find it very off-putting that instead of leading me even into the aisle between dressing rooms, he took my measurements right there in the middle of the store! Yikes! He pulled about 10 or 15 dresses for me to try, only some of which were from the list that had been printed of dresses I'd marked in advance as 'favorites' on their website. And once he'd brought the dresses to the fitting room, he... disappeared. Poof. My maid of honor wound up being the one to help me into and out of all of them, and my consultant only reappeared if I spent more than a minute in front of the mirror talking to mom and my maid of honor. I don't feel like he listened to me at all, or even cared, and while I understand that the consultants there are busy on weekend days and might be assisting other customers, I don't expect to be completely forgotten and left adrift for the entirety of my appointment! The worst part, though, was at the end, when he appeared where my party and I were waiting and handed my maid of honor and my mom two printed sheets of paper before handing me a copy of the same. "I hand them to the mom and the maid of honor because the bride always forgets," he said to my face. He then ran off to grab his business card, which he thrust into my face and repeated his line about "the bride will always forget," adding, "you might want to hand this to mom." I was already sort of "meh" about my experience, but I left the store feeling insulted and not cared about. I should add that although they couldn't be bothered to spend time helping me with dresses while I was there in person, they were more than happy to sign me up for all of their emails - I had three on my phone which had arrived even before I left the store! My experience at my other appointment for the day, at Alfred Angelo down the street, couldn't have been more opposite this trainwreck of a morning at David's. The store was neat and tidy, well lit, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming! I wound up buying a more-expensive dress there than the ones I had liked at David's, partly because it was prettier but mostly because I felt like the staff and the consultant I worked with genuinely CARED. Spare yourself the time, frustration, and unhappiness of visiting David's, and head down the street a little to Alfred Angelo for a relaxing, enjoyable, and positive experience at Alfred Angelo! Jeffrey is WONDERFUL. He should be training the managers & staff on how customers should be treated. We had two consultants previously that went missing for long periods of unexplained precious time, couldn't answer questions & gave us incorrect answers. Each graciously told us we needed to book another appointment because our time was up. The only reason we returned was because of out of town bridesmaids. Jeff was our 3rd consultant, words can't express how attentive he was. In the end the Bride & all bridesmaids dresses were ordered, everyone was happy. My advice not worth going if you don't book your appointment with Jeffrey. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because of his customer service skills. I was desperate to find a gown for a dressy and important holiday party the next day - on short notice, of course. After searching online for area stores, David's Bridal comes to mind and I make an appointment with a consultant. My consultant is a tall, African-American man (sorry, I can't remember his name!) whom I eyeball with suspicion. He asks me what I'm looking for and lets me flip through the racks while he also picks out several things. I'm finished picking out dresses in less than 20 minutes and there are about 16 dresses to try on. Before I dive in, he sorts them, giving his reasons, and I re-sort them for my own reasons. About 5 dresses in (he makes me come out and do a twirl in front of the mirror with each dress), I realize this guy knows what he's talking about and it's down to 3 dresses immediately. I can't decide so I take the top TWO!!! One long lace gown, one short velvet cowl back, Spanx and this took inside of an hour and I AM VERY HAPPY! I am not model thin by any stretch of the imagination but the dresses are flattering, stylish, and not too crazy with the price! read more

This was my second visit to a David's in Maryland. My first was to the Rockville location on a Saturday, which was just absolutely insane (don't go on the weekends if you have any schedule flexibility at all). I had also bought a few dresses online and visited a smaller boutique, and despite trying on probably 25+ dresses total still hadn't found my wedding dress. I came here after learning how large this store is and that they have a large clearance section. I finally found my dress on the clearance rack. Earline was super nice and helpful, and didn't mind me helping me try on two dresses a few times each when I was trying to make my final decision. She picked out a belt and some accessories for me to try with the dress and also brought out a woman from alterations (I think her name was Virginia) to talk to me a couple times about what I would need and about how much it would cost. Because my dress was on clearance and being sold right off the rack it was a little dirty from being tried on, and Earline offered to personally ensure the cleaning gets done before I get my alterations. I wish that David's generally would not stack so many simultaneous appointments on their consultants, but that seems to just be the way large chains work for this kind of thing. When I went to a smaller boutique I had one-on-one attention but the dresses were more expensive. I could tell Earline was hustling to handle me and one or two other girls at the same time, and she apologized to me about it. I don't blame her for that and I didn't mind waiting a little bit in between dresses, especially when I was narrowing it down between two-- spending more time in each dress was helpful at that point. It also definitely seemed like there were fewer simultaneous appointments on a Friday morning, so it was much less hectic than my previous Saturday visit. read more

I have very mixed feelings review wise; I have been to this store twice. The first time I went was on a Saturday of last year (2012) for bridesmaids dresses which went smoothly. Our salesperson was responsive to requests and attentive to us as customers. We were in and out of there without a problem. I thought it would be a great place to start looking for wedding dresses for my sister's wedding since they have a large variety so I went ahead and made a Sunday bridal appointment. After checking in we were allowed to browse the selections. It was at least 40minutes until I started to become annoyed and decided to go stand by the front to make sure we weren't overlooked. I did not become a boisterous customer, rather I simply stood there to remind the staff no one had come to greet us as our consultant; it worked. The appointment started off well and I found our salesperson to be attentive, at first..... Regardless of it they are trying to run a business, giving a salesperson so many customers they cannot be attentive to their guests is unacceptable especially since they were taking walk-ins on top of the already extremely high volume of appointments. My sister was given three dresses to start off with, after not seeing our salesperson for 20minutes I decided to pull a dress from the rack. When the lady helping us finally did return she asked (as kindly as you can ask this kind of thing) not to get dresses on our own. This became irritating since it meant we had to wait until whenever she could get around to us just so she could carry a dress from one part of the store to the dressing rooms. While I understand that the merchandise is valuable it does not require anything but common sense to carry items carefully. Dress carrier is a more accurate description than dress consultant since she was hardly any help after the first 5minutes. From the highly mixed reviews others have posted maybe the time of year as well as time of day need to be figured to the tee for a positive experience. Bottom line: I think David's Bridal (this location at least) is like going to a casino. You're gambling at chance, and the house usually wins. May the odds be in your favor. read more

TERRIBLE. Like many have said, making an appointment is useless. The consultant didn't come find us for 45 minutes after the appointment time. Luckily we had picked out the bridesmaids dresses to try on. We saw the consultant twice during trying on the dresses. I (the bride) ran back and forth picking other sizes and dresses for my bridesmaids to try on. The only time we interacted with her was when she told us they didn't have the dress in the color we wanted and the only way to see what it looks like in person is to order it and pay for it ourselves... yeah right. Then it was my turn to try on wedding dresses... Our consultant was MIA. We went to the front of the store and they called her for us. She still didn't show up. Meanwhile, I picked out a few dresses to try on. 20 minutes went by and she came running to the front of the store.. only to help out someone else she was working with. So we took the dresses from the rack and went into an open dressing room. She came by once, said I didn't look good in the dress, then left. My first experience trying on wedding dresses was horrible and disappointing. The other brides had their names on their dressing room and were being catered to, but not me. David's Bridal needs to work on their customer service. I will be going to a smaller bridal boutique to pick out my dress and bridesmaids dresses. David's Bridal lost my business today. read more

As a bride, I feel comfortable saying I had a great experience at this David's bridal in Glen Burnie, MD! I recommend going in wih somewhat of an idea of what you like for a bridal gown because of so many dresses and all of the variety. It can be a lot to try and browse through if you do nt know. Initially going in I signed in and waited for a consultant. As I was picking I randomly stumbled upon a consultant named Jeffery, and I don't think he was going to be the consultant assigned to me but he decided to take over and thank goodness he did!!! He gave me tips and tacks on the dresses I picked, and that day we came was unexpected so we told them our original appoitment was for the next day. So when we came in the next day (today in fact :) there were many many people lined up at the door as it opened. Jeffery recognized me right away and brought us back to our room from the day before. He even remembered the dresses I had it narrowed down to from the previous day. He picked out the perfect tier skirt to fit the dresses and when I finally narrowed it down to one paired it with a beautiful veil And head piece! To top it off he would not let me start changing back into my regular clothes until I stepped on their stage, made a wish and rang their bell!!! (signifying I had found THE dress for me!! I can happily say I found THE dress today and was thrilled! I made sure to ask if he will be working again when I return in 2wks for my bridesmaid dress appt. he was very efficient, very professional and really made the experience!!! read more

Finally picked up my dress today from DB, and my MOH just called after inspection. The dress is horribly wrinkled, and was stuck in the zipper of the cheap awful 'garment' bag (that I paid $10 for). They put this incredibly heavy dress on a cheap plastic hanger and one of the hanging dress loops is broken. Also, the dress is way to big for that horrible bag. Lastly, there are two strings hanging loose off some of the detailing. As for our visit. I am still sad about it. I made an appointment and selected my favorites, as instructed on the website. We arrived and were told to wait, so we stood in the entry and waited. A very harried woman eventually turned up and led me to a small fitting room and left. I was very overwhelmed and had absolutely no direction. After about 10 minutes, I asked if I should be looking at dresses. She told me she first had to get my undergarments, yet didn't ask my size. She again disappeared. I eventually went out and started looking at the Vera Wang White dresses, which is what I came for. One of my bridesmaids apparently got a new consultant, Jeff, who was the only bright spot of the day. He moved me to a much larger fitting room on the end, promptly got my undergarments, and brought dresses. I did wind up falling in love with one, and so I rang the bell. My future MIL asked about President's Day coming and would my dress go on sale. The reply: "Vera never goes on sale." The dress is now on sale at a $300 discount. I next stood at the counter register for 30 minutes for who knows what reason. My total: $1938 - including $10 for the horrible garment bag. Thirty minutes was extremely unreasonable. After I paid, the cashier circled the word FINAL on my receipt. I wish I'd been told that before the sale. Since the visit, my inbox is flooded with spam from companies apparently affiliated with DB. Many of these emails are in direct violation of the CAN-SPAM Act, which surprised me as DB should know better. The solicitations continue even after I unsubscribed. Last week I received an email that my dress had arrived and I had seven days to pick it up. The email came on a Friday, and DB is an hour away. I checked and that information is on my receipt, but I did not realize and this left another bad taste in my mouth. Then, tonight, picking up the dress and hearing that it is so cheaply and horribly packaged - not even any tissue to protect the dress inside the bag - no care in stuffing so it was stuck in the zipper - completely smashed into a horrible bag that is far too small - broken loops on the dress, loose strings, cheap plastic hanger - I am just so disappointed. Actually, a little heartbroken. Overall, I am saddened with this experience. For a $1938 dress (and I still need shoes, veil and alterations), I would have really hoped for a better experience. The only time in my life I will shop for wedding dresses. I really feel DB cheapened it all. We did receive coupons for bridesmaids dresses but at this point the trust is broken. With eight girls plus two mothers, that's at least $3000 lost in sales, as we really spend money. But, DB probably doesn't care. I am typically patient and understanding, and maybe if I'd spent $300 I wouldn't mind as much. But it blows my mind the lack of attention and care at both me and my dress. I am sure Vera herself would cringe at how her line is presented to brides to be. If I could return the dress, I certainly would. Then I would head to a small, locally owned boutique where I could get the proper level of service for such a momentous occasion. read more
