There was a nice bait and switch when it came to the tailoring fees. Went to buy a suit for my son's home coming dance. The sales associate was very helpful and said the pants would have to be ordered because they didn't have his size. She said it would be 50 dollars to have the suit altered after it was fitted. The pants were ordered and we went back to try on the suit. The tailor came out to do the alterations and tells the sales associate that the jacket should have been a short. He said that he would have to shorten the jacket length, shorten the sleeves, and bring in the shoulders. He pulls me to the side and said it will cost 120 dollars cash on top of the 400 dollars I paid for the suit. I told him that I don't carry cash on me but I could do my card. He said he would only take cash. I asked the sales associate if this was normal and he said since these aren't alterations they typically do, that he could charge what he wanted and request cash. First what happened to the 50 dollar price that was originally quoted (bait)? Then he seemingly had me over a barrel since I needed the suit for the 120 cash (switch). So I go to the atm thinking why did the sales person sell me a jacket that was so ill fitting that it needs all of these alterations? Why is the alterations a cash only proposition and why wasn't it even close to the price that was originally quoted? After spend another close to 8 dollars pulling the money out of the closest atm, I went back to the store and returned the suit. I will not deal with a company that partakes in shady business practices. I went to DXL and found a jacket that fit my son almost perfectly off the rack and pants that needed minor alterations. All for about 200 dollars less than it would have cost me at men's warehouse after alterations on both suits. I did not like the way I looked at men's warehouse. I guarantee it. Never go to another one again and shared the events with everyone I know. read more

Went a total of 3 times. The first day a young man helped us immediately. He was very pleasant. Experience was going well until another man chimed in with unsolicited opinions(white and round. Possibly a manger). He demeanor rubbed me the wrong way. The second time we came to pick up and alterations the "manager" helped and we felt rushed (store wasn't busy) and his demeanor was still off putting. The third time...when my bf stated that he didn't like the fit he wanted to debate what he said he wanted and speak over him before fixing the issue. Which was a simple hem of the pants. My fiancé and I have had a great experience with Men's Wearhouse in Arundel Mills. It was easy to make an appointment and they knew we were coming when we arrived. They fitted him and signed up the rest of our group. There online process is a little difficult, but that seems to be a common experience with most people who used their online system. Our Tux's all looked very good on all of the men. It was just as easy to pick them up as it was dropping them off. However, my only gripe is that they specifically said the other people in the group would not be able to change things from their look. Unfortunately, they were, so our party was a little mis-matched because people where allowed to make changes to what we wanted which was a little disappointing. read more

My fiancee and I are getting married at the end of this month, so he went here yesterday. I have to say, I had a HORRIBLE experience at Davids Bridal in Bowie, but this Men's Wearhouse was great! A young guy attended to us immediately, and he was very helpful. I wish I could remember his name- he was young and the most pleasant looking sales associate in there (many of them looked unhappy to be there). He had great advice and even made sure we didn't have to rush to return the tux. Will post again if we have any other problems picking up or dropping off. Poor customer service. Dropped a suit off to have tailored. Told them what I had already paid to have done and had my original receipt since it's free to have them do it again. They still tried to charge me since their tailor said it looked like nothing had been altered before. But it was on my receipts along with on my account in their own system. They said my suit would be done by the 1st and they'd call me. It's now the 7th and still no phone call. Also had measurements done the same day for a rental which I picked up from a different location and the measurements for the shirt were completely off! Generally a good experience with the chain and this store is a little below average, but friendly and attentive enough. My issue was signage- I was price motivated for pants- thought the sign on the rack was what I was after, but I needed to keep the material in mind-wow! The gal brought me a new color and size but the same material. I only was concerned about the color! This just happened to be the more expensive deal which DID NOT bring me in! The website said there was suits beginning at 179.99. I confirmed before going to the store this was the case - upon arrival the associate seemed less than enthusiastic to help us once we mentioned the sale we saw online. We were told that they don't sell any of those suits in the store and we had to order online or pay $350 minimum. When we told the associate that they said they did carry this promotion in the store he told us that it may not be in that store but we needed to provide a SKU??? Really? I tried to call customer service and gave up after waiting over 15 minutes and figured I would take my money elsewhere. The shame is I would have spent even more than the $350 for just the suit if it wasn't so obvious this was about commission. read more

Very easy to find. Right next to Walmart and Arundel mills mall. The staff is very friendly except the tailor. Then again I would probably not be friendly if I was a tailor here. Every one needs it at the last minute and when last minute is not good enough. We need it now. Additionally who wants to chalk mark people butt, waist and legs all day and then be told that it is not good enough. I would be frustrated too. It was busy when I went, but called ahead. When I got there I was questioned on who told me that they would do something last minute and well I never got his name but they did it. So get the persons name if you want same day service. They do not charge an express fee yuh just need to sweet talk them. read more

If you can avoid renting anything from this Men's Wearhouse, please do. The customer service was some of the worst I have ever experienced. We rented a tux for our wedding and eventually ended up calling another Men's Wearhouse in Cincinnati OH to sort out issues with our tux. We were just done dealing with terrible sales associates and managers at the Arundel Mills location. The sales clerk that originally helped us over promised several things. 1. He told us getting the suit in 1-2 weeks early would be no problem and no extra charge (Not true, they don't do that unless you want to pay double) 2. He told us that any little tweeks to the suit could be taken care of in the store (Also, apparently, not true) 3. He told us that we could get a certain kind of suit pants with the particular tux (Also not true). When we came to pick up the tux a week before the wedding, it wasn't in the store despite the pick up date written on our receipt. No one in the store seemed interested in the fact we were told this was no problem and instead acted like we had messed up. The assistant manager walked away in the middle of the conversation to get the manager. She never came back and the manager then told us that none of the things we were told initially were actually possible. He finished up our conversation by saying that this tux and our wedding were one of millions and that there's only so much they can do. He did discount the purchase by 20%, but when we got the suit home...the sleeves were unevenly hemmed and the jacket had been measured wrong and was too big. Just buy a suit of the rack (at another store) and have it tailored. It won't look like crap and you won't have to deal with terrible service people. read more

I'm very disappointed. My fiancé and I came in to check out some potential tuxedo rentals for our groomsman. When we walked in we were greeted by a woman who walked us over to the rentals area and when I tell you we were not ACKNOWLEDGED at alll! There was an Asian woman and a black man working and maybe 3 customers. We were patient we know how things are, but the woman literally walked to where we were standing and pretty much walked into my fiance but still didn't acknowledge him. There wasn't a "hi welcome I'll be right with you." There was nothing we had to check to make sure we weren't ghost. A customer came in after us and was immediately helped. They looked past us to help him. It was very unsettling and disappointing. Here we are looking to spend money and don't even get acknowledged to do so. Terrible customer service and maybe a blessing cause had this been closer to our wedding date it would have been very upsetting. We will take our money for our 10 groomsman elsewhere. read more

My husband was the only person to rent a suit for our wedding, and it was absolutely perfect! He looked even more handsome than I could have imagined. His suit came in much earlier than expected, so he was able to try it on to make sure it fit correctly before our big day. The only issue we experienced was when we visited the store closer to our wedding to double-check his measurements, they couldn't find him in the system at first. Horrible customer service. I have been there on several occasions, and have had to find things myself, while the sales associates watch TV. However, when they see they you have a few items in your hand then they will be quick to help you out. Their shirt selection is very slim and they never seem to have many items in stock. My most recent visit I was in search of a non pleated tuxedo shirt. After being ignored by the sales associate (who's clothes were several sizes too big) I finally stumbled upon the tuxedo rental counter, where I was greeted with a smile by 3 sales associates. The 1 sales associate proceeds to show me plain white button down shirts, and says "these are the tuxedo shirts we have in stock." Either she was stupid or she thought I was stupid to think that a plain white dress shirt is the same as a white tuxedo shirt. Either way I was highly dissapointed. Apparently customer service is a dying art, that can only be perfected by high end retail stores such as Nordstroms and brooks brothers. read more

Negative star button! Initially wanted two pair of pleated dress pants for work. Didn't have the lesser expensive pants on special with free alterations but they did have the pants that charges you an extra $48 to hem the pant and pinch the waist. I know this guy told me it was free with the pants. Then Tyree promised that they could perform the simple task of heming the pants and providing a cuff. I made sure they couldn't get the ones with the pleats which at the time seemed legitimate. The advertising says it can be done why you wait but it was expressed to me that it would take one 7 day period / week. I agreed and exited the store after purchasing the pants. Upon my return 8 days later instead of the proposed 7 I was asked could I wait for the store to hem the pants for 15 minutes. As I waited the manager explained that he had a deal going that would get me two matching shirts, ties, and jackets if he registered the purchase and all of this for 110 extra. Meanwhile 1 hour passed and still no pants. After picking out the shirts and ties; and trying on the jackets the pants finally come out hemmed. One of them was right and the other was higher water pants with a cuff. I asked him to redo these pants and of course they came back with no cuff;cut off too much material. Meanwhile time is passing and I am missing two appointments. It didn't seem I would have to wait much longer but it took Tyree another 30 to 40 minutes to figure out how to tell me he lied to me about the prices. These people put a large amount of details into raising the price high retail and coming down to a high price to make you look like it is a bargain. So after ringing it up i am in a hurry to leave because I have two appointments. This is the worst customer service in the clothing industry. He tells me the price is actually closer to $300 more and apologizes profusely for he 8th time today. Yet he does nothing to fix the issue. I needed the clothing that evening so I took what I could get of my order, as I find out at the last minute the additional items I picked out were actually not in the store and had to be ordered. I am being very polite here. These idiots price gauge, lie, mis measure, over promise under deliver mediocre and extremely overpriced name brand junk geared towards rushing to purchase ; yet they are extremely poor in delivery. After I returned the next week to pick up the last of my items this idiot offered me more excuses and rationale as to why he couldn't do anything about it and he was sorry..yes sorry is right. I politely explained to him that I didn't want a percentage off my next purchase when my first experience was terrible..fix this one. Of course he lied and said he couldn't do anything and I want to see if corporate Men's Wearhouse will back this when I let these con artist know I have a small following of approximately 23,000 people in the area. I am certain at least one of them will heed my opinion and tell a friend. Yes and I also have a few people on social media I can reach out to. I nicely said to Tyree of the Men's warhorse store 7069a Arundel Mills Blvd Arundel Mills, Md Hanover, MD 21076 443-755-1347 Store #3519 this will cost your store much more that compensating me for my time, so I respectfully suggest you do something or anything in advance. So with that. within the week 23,000 people will be spreading the word that Men's Wearhouse in their opinion is not a place you want to shop.....your'e not going to love how you feel. The manager can tell you I was cordial, patient, and upfront to express my deep dissatisfaction. Now let me express how deep. Everywhere I go and every time I refer my clients, friends, or family..I will be sure to mention my experience at Mens Warehouse. You are going to love the way you look. Finally I gave Tyree and another two managers an option. I can keep the clothing since I have worn a few items and they could do something to compensate me for the hours spent, the misquote on price, the late finishing of the pants, and the poor workmanship in mis measuring the pants or I could take the clothes and charge your store by word of mouth. Keep in mind I was pleasant the whole time. They took their sweet time about bagging everything up an exclaimed that there wasn't anything they can do unless i came back in the store and made another purchase. I explained politely if you don"t make the first purchase right why would I spend another dime to assist you in being the worst shopping experience I have ever had in a clothing store. These people are completely incompetent with no customer service skills and no concern. I want a full refund and to be compensated for my time but I will not approach the store, Why? These are the types of slime balls that you do not want to hold your credit card or even speak with for an exchange. Seconds after entering, I was politely greeted, and within minutes had someone helping me pick out my choices of coats and ties. I will start off by saying the customer service here is mediocre at best, everyone I interacted with in the beginning was great. I'm assuming that's because they wanted my money along with the three other people I brought to purchase suits! My friends and I came here to get suits made for a wedding we were in, worst idea we ever had. Interaction with the staff in the beginning was great but after 2 months of trying to get a simple pair of pants tailored to fit my body, nothing was going right. They kept promising time after time they could fix the pants but never did. Final call was the 12th time I was in there and they told me it was my body type and that's why they couldn't fix the pants. After two months they tell me 5 days before the wedding they can't give me exactly what they promised. I would like to know how this place is still in business? If you need a suit or tuxedo and have a body type that woks for them I'm sure this is your place, if you need people to get the job done and not lie to you for months then Please go somewhere else! Went here reluctantly after having a few less than stellar experiences at other locations. As soon as we walked through the doors, we were assisted in finding the prom jacket we had been searching for. The salesman took one look at my son and knew what size he needed, called the seamstress and picked out a few ties and shirts to complete the look! He had us ready in 15 minutes!!! Our experience with this store can be summed up in only one word... AWESOME! Our customer relationship started when my fiancé and I went to buy a suit for her cousin's wedding. From the moment we stepped into this store we were greeted promptly and were assisted by the store's manager Anthony. He was polite, attentive, courteous, personable, friendly and really understood what we were trying to accomplish. First he measured me for accuracy and then led us to the section where my suit sizes were available for viewing. He did not make me feel pressured and never once made me fell rushed. I have to put it out there that I am a very particular shopper, a real p.i.t.a. but Anthony took control and we liked it. I tried on almost every suit in the rack and then we found it! We were so happy with the look we said we will take it but Anthony said not yet. He said I was entitled to an additional suit for free!! I never checked online for any sales and Anthony could have looked out for the store's monetary interests but instead he looked out for mine. When I went back to pick up the suits after the alterations were done Alex, the assistant manager and another associate named Greg, took care of me with kid gloves! Again, I felt like a million bucks, Great job guys! This first experience was more than outstanding! A year later it was time to register for our wedding. My fiancé and I could think of only one place to go, back to see Anthony and his team. Everything went seamless. My groomsmen party was scattered throughout the country and every single Men's Wearhouse got it right! I received a free suit and a $50 rewards certificate just for everyone using the company. They made me feel so good I asked my fiancé if I could invite them to the wedding! She said "ah...no," sorry guys. We are sending a very special thank you to Anthony, Alex, Greg and the rest of the team for your professionalism and patience with me and for meeting and exceeding all of our expectations. The lady who was supposed to be helping us change the tux order for our wedding didn't even want to get out of her chair. Every time I asked about a color, a tie, a napkin, she just pointed me where to go as if it was impossible for her to stand up and walk 20 yards over to the rack. She did EVENTUALLY stand up, so I know there was't any physical condition that prevented her from doing her job better. For the money we are spending and the fact that it is a major event like a WEDDING, I would hope they would show a little care. I could have been in and out in 15 minutes had she shown some effort, rather it took 45 minutes to make a few minor changes. read more
