wow wow wow. the staff at this location was absolutely fantastic. i was so nervous to shop for wedding dresses as a plus-sized bride. but the girls at this location really made me feel comfortable, welcomed, heard, and confident. there was 0 judgment, pressure, or discomfort. you want a sleeve, absolutely, here are a few different options. veils, take a look at these. the manager heather was an absolute delight, so friendly. my stylist nyah, accommodating and so so sweet. jennifer made me feel so comfortable when i said i was worried about my stretch marks showing; she gave me the ultimate pep talk that made me almost in tears. she eased all my worries and made me feel absolutely beautiful. even the steam stress/alterations specialist came over and thoroughly explained what she would do and how it would look. i got my dress, veil, tiara, and more all very under budget. read more

I had a wonderful experience at David's Bridal thanks to Nyah. She was incredibly helpful, kind, and patient while I selected my bridesmaid dress. The bride is out of state, so we had to FaceTime her to make the final decisions--and Nyah was an absolute gem through the entire process. Even when the bride had me try on the same dresses multiple times, Nyah never rushed me and stayed upbeat and supportive the whole time. She truly made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and fun. The bride was actually standing in another David's Bridal with the rest of the bridal party during our appointment. I went to this location as a friend of a bride, helping to find her wedding dress. There was a selection of dresses to look at, but as we were looking a manager raised her voice at us to tell us we cannot take the dress off the rack. She basically told us we could not look and scolded us for taking them off the rack. I was shocked and embarrassed because there was no sign saying we couldn't look. This review will cover both the front dress selection and the seamstrss/alterations department. I made an appointment for my mother to come out and look around for a dress to wear to my brother's wedding. I booked a late afternoon appointment. When we arrived they were short staffed and the only two individuals working were finishing with another party. We were told to go ahead and look around. Wish they had been better staffed to be able to help us as soon as we got there but it was understandable. My mom and I looked around through some of the dresses and found a couple we wanted to try by the time they finished with the other party and came to help us. Despite seeming tired, the staff remained helpful, pleasant, and willing to work with us in finding the right dress when the first few didn't work. When we did find the right dress it was in the wrong color but the staff were wonderful in putting in the extra effort to determine if there was a way to get us the dress we wanted in the color we needed for the wedding party. They managed to find the right color and the right size to order for us and we were thrilled! They went over the pricing and order details and said they would let us know when the dress arrived. Once the dress arrived, we needed some alterations done. Based on previous reviews of the alterations department, I took a chance and booked them to help alter the dress we bought. I have to say that while the front sales reps were lovely the alterations team were the highlight of my experience working with this location. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and honest in what they could or could not do to alter the dress without destroying the silhouette. I will say we probably could have done the alterations for a lower price elsewhere, but the team were so incredibly pleasant and amenable that I ended up booking them for the alterations of my own bridesmaid dress that I received from elsewhere for the wedding. The work they did was exceptional, and they were willing to correct a hem draping issue that arose after they took the dress' waistline in on my mother's dress for no extra charge. I may very well come back just for the alterations team for anything else more formal in the future and my mother and I received lots of compliments on the wedding day. TL;DR Overall, a positive experience of which the alterations team were the highlight (In the photo, the dress' hemline is perfect in my heels but I'd given them up at this point for my flats) read more

Working there was great until a snake of an employee exaggerated and LIED about behaviors, singled me out by writing letters and ultimately got me fired (btw, she just wanted a promotion she didn't deserve). I didn't write this at the time because my GM tried to protect my job and was afraid to get her in trouble. Unlike the DM who is states away that took HR letters serious enough to end a 7 year career. $-300 in my account, two kids at home. It's fine. Never mind that I came back every time I had a baby. Never mind the hours I put in to try and keep up with IMPOSSIBLE standards. Never mind that I worked the COVID closure and SOLD thousands of dollars. They KNEW they were going to fire me but still let me do my Bridal Show, generating future appointments for them. Took commission away from Stylists and wouldn't let us pay more than $12.70 but complained because we had crappy employees. Continued adding new things to keep track of, no increase in pay. Oh, but make sure you're "floor managing" hahaha. Don't work out the bugs of new systems before holding people accountable. Get a 4.9 or don't bonus. It's absolutely daunting the pressure and burdens that are placed on managers. Preach valuing mental health, yet expect you to eat, sleep, and crap Work. I left my husband and got in a car wreck and still worked all my 40 hours but oh yeah, that timesheet. Better fire me over that with all the other things going on regardless of how hard I worked when I WAS there. I WALKED around the CORNER for 10 minutes, to buy a seamstress an eyeshadow pallet for her birthday but the employee that didn't like me said it was a "personal errand", just added that into their little complaint, lol Yeah, one of the ones that got me fired. Another manager was LATE and overlapped when I made an appointment, so I went for 15 minutes. empty store, lead CSR, but that was horrendous too I gave this place WAY more than it gave me and yet all I got was "there were policy violations so your time at David's is over". So great. Also. The snake still works there after you fired myself and now the store manager who had been there for 10 years. Because again, whiney employees wrote letters. They have a literal range of prices, rather than staying it and starting at 1000. 4 hours prior I went to another dress shop in the area, it lasted a total of 20 minutes before I was told I can redress. They were limited on options, with my wedding being in September. 7 months. On a whim we contacted Davids Bridal and they fit us in due to a cancellation. We arrived about 30 minutes early which provided us the opportunity to look at their selection. And pick all the dresses I wanted to try, it didnt take to long and I found one I adore! Came recently to shop for a wedding dress for my sister. Overall it was okay, but our stylist seemed annoyed and kind of snappy. Everytime we asked for a different style or to try on an accessory, she acted irritated. The register ladies seemed nice though. I would recommend better customer service from the stylist. Women are shopping for their wedding dresses, so they are going yo have questions and want to try on multiple dresses. Its rude to be aggravated when we ask for these things. Wow worst experience ever. Walked in and there was massive confusion about whether we had an appointment or not. Front desk rudely yelled across the shop if someone else could take the appointment because our original girl wasn't there. They were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Priscilla told us to not touch the dresses in the aisles where they were bagged and then left for 15 minutes, we only looked through the section she told us and pulled a few dresses. She returned and was annoyed and rude saying that she didn't get the chance to give the whole spiel but we were not supposed to touch any of the dresses or move them from the rack. She also let us know after another 10 minutes of us sitting alone that they only carry up to a size 12, which was interesting because there were size 20's on the rack we were looking at. These girls are seriously unprofessional and frankly need a lesson in hygiene, it smelled terrible in there. Never going back. read more

I came into the store to find a Mother Of The Bride dress and one clerk was already busy helping others while 2 other clerks "hid" behind the computer. After looking at them for a moment, one of them finally acknowledged me and I asked if they had any mother of the bride dresses in a blush pink color and they said no. Neither asked if they could help me or give me some suggestions or anything. So then I asked if it was ok if I looked anyway and they said 'yes,' never once coming up to me later to see how I was doing or if I needed any help or suggestions. I left. Staff 5/5 Service 4.5/5 (Store policy issue, not staff's fault) Product Quality 5/5 Price $$ to $$$ My wedding was at the beginning of October 2016. I set up an 1.5 hour appointment online for my dress a month or so prior to my wedding date. I was disappointed that there was only one consultant, Megan, present to help me (I came alone) and another group, but she hustled and apologized profusely, as she worked to help both of us at the same time. Megan was bright, friendly, and very helpful. She made sure to communicate what she was doing with both of us so that we were never wondering what had happened to her. After my appointment was over, and I had selected my favorite dress, Megan answered all of my questions about pricing, payments, and layaway accurately and efficiently. If she didn't know the answer, she was happy to go and ask someone who would. I then proceeded to the front desk to pay for my items to be put on layaway, so that I could return later with family members to have one more appointment and see what they thought and what suggestions they might have. Rachel at the front desk made sure to answer all of my concerns with great solutions, and she was completely understanding when I wasn't sure about part of the transaction and reassured me that we could work all of it out. When I returned for my second appointment (it was an hour, instead of the usual 1.5 hours, since I had been in before), Megan was again my consultant. She was very accommodating and patient with all of us as my family asked questions and made suggestions. She kept up a cheerful attitude, and she remained professional yet personable the entire time, even though the appointment was right before closing time. The store ended up being completely empty by the time our hour was over, so by that time, other staff members had come by to join the party. They were also very friendly and helpful, and they offered suggestions and laughed along with us. My appointment ended up being close to 2 hours, pretty right up until closing time. My family and I had so much fun with the lovely people who worked there, and all of those ladies were very accommodating and sweet to us. The alterations lady (I'm not remembering her name) knew her stuff. She quoted prices to me on alterations immediately, and showed me how a bustle would look within a couple minutes. While I wouldn't recommend David's Bridal for alterations simply due to their crazy prices ($50 for a bustle that consisted of a couple buttons and a couple loops to hold onto the buttons, and $120 for a simple hem), I would say that they seemed to know what they were doing. When it came time for checkout, the policies on pricing were explained thoroughly and accurately by Rachel, once again. Rachel even offered me a complimentary simple cleaning and steaming of my dress, since there were some things that needed to be cleaned on the dress. Megan also spot-cleaned my dress before I took it home, twice. She also told us how she did it, which was easy enough that we could try it at home. After all was said and done, I still had some doubts about purchasing a sash/belt and a veil that would go with my dress. Megan didn't pressure me to buy either item, though she did say that she couldn't guarantee that the items would still be there, if I didn't buy right then. She did offer to place my things on a wish list so that, should I decide to buy them, I could come right on in and they could look them up easily. Overall, my experience with the staff at David's Bridal was excellent with minor disappointments. Megan was a lovely person with a fantastic personality. She was never pushy, infinitely patient, and she was always very accommodating without being overly fake. Rachel went above and beyond to make sure that I got the right prices and that I received all of my things at the right times. Thank you to all the staff that we interacted all throughout the process for helping to make my wedding day so special. I loved my dress, and I loved the experience. read more

I'm the sister of a bride who paid full price for her wedding dress. She took it out of the bag for alterations and it had dirt on the bottom of the dress, stains on the tull behind the butt area, and a hole in the mesh on her back with a flower hanging off. We called the store and Jazmine, assistant manager, was very rude and did not work with us at all to figure out an appropriate solution. I scheduled an appointment on a Thursday at 3:00, and upon showing up was checked in and told a consultant would be up to help me in a few, and to browse in the meantime. I browsed for 35 minutes, and was ready to walk out, when a very sweet consultant walked up and apologized profusely, telling me that they forgot to let her know that I was there. Beyond that hiccup, my visit was nothing short of amazing. I told her my style, showed her a couple dresses I loved, and she did everything to make me happy. I ended up buying my dress at the end of my visit. I felt heard, and catered to, even though she was helping several people at once. The dresses my bride has chosen came from online (JJshouse). It arrived and did not fit based off the sizing chart even given. Online takes forever to refund or even receive the dress. I went to David's Bridal, and was promptly greeted and explained the situation. They color matched the dress I had to a PERFECT match on store. I had never been wedding dress shopping before but my best friend is getting married so we recently had a Saturday apointment at David's Bridal. It was our 2nd stop of 3 and the experience was so terrible compared to what we had at the place we went before (a smaller shop in town). It was very busy, which is understandable on a Saturday, but it is awful having to share a bridal consultant with another bride-to-be. The service wasn't personal at all, and because we had to share the consultant, she wasn't around for a lot of help. We ended up going into the fitting room and helping her try on dresses because the lady went MIA towards the end for awhile. We really just couldn't wait to leave. Most of the associates weren't dressed very classy either, I felt like they could overall be a little more professional. The store manager did introduce herself but didn't realize her employee was not giving the best service. I went in on a Friday afternoon (1pm) and they only had 1 dress consultant working which seems a little crazy. I was hesitant to even go in here because of the horror stories which seem to happen at every one of these places but my experience at my first store was less than satisfactory and I needed a dress. They let me know they didn't have any appointments open but I was welcome to look. After pulling three dresses, I asked if I could get a fitting room and too my surprise the cashier found me undergarments and tried her best to help me. Even more to my surprise the consultant checked on me several times even though she couldn't help me with the entire process. I ended up buying a dress and was able to take it home with me because it was the correct size. Of course, as soon as I decided I wanted to buy a dress I had the consultants full attention as she tried to get me to buy all the accessories and sign up for the credit card. I escaped the hard sell with just the dress! I wouldn't recommend if you have other options but this was a great place to go in a pinch! I stopped by David's in Boise the day prior to my formal appointment and they were super busy however I was greeted by the girl at desk in entry very kindly. I had assumed I would get a much different reaction when they realized I 1) did not have an appointment & 2) showed her a picture on my phone of a $99 sale dress I was interested in. She was very very friendly & even though they did not have the dress in stock, showed me other $99 options and found another one of the gowns I had on my phone. I thought maybe I had just gotten lucky with her, but I had several people offer to help me and one even did some research on a gown displayed on mannequin, which was not definitely NOT $99, to see if it was on sale. I didn't try on any gowns so did not get the full experience but will update my review one we go back for full appointment, which I had to reschedule for next week. read more

I got married a month ago. I went to this locations out 6-8 months before the wedding and my experience started out ok. I had gone in 3 times to find my dress and each time I had an appointment, and each time I had to share the consultant. It didn't bother me too much but I thought it odd to have an appointment and still have to share. So I finally found a dress, the one I tried on was too big but they said in the right size with some altering it would fit where and how I wanted. They ordered the dress and it did come in early which was great. I asked when I should get it altered and they said there would be plenty of time and to bring it in ( this was January 18 my wedding was in March) Once I started dealing with the alterations department is when my experience went downhill. I went in to fit my dress. The lady was very nice, did my fitting and I went on my way. I didn't have any extensive alterations, a hem, bra cups, and I added some pretty straps. Fast forward to 3 days before my final fitting and when I was supposed to pick up my dress. I get a phone call saying that they pulled my dress out to alter it, and when they started the work somehow there were slash marks on my dress it must've been out while working on another dress and it got cut, and they couldn't fix it. They were going to have to get a new one (mind you this is now February 18th, my wedding was March 7th but it was an out of state wedding and I was leaving on the 3rd) she said they'd put a rush but I'd have to come in again for a new fitting. I was scheduled for a new fitting for the expected arrival time. The dress came in early which was nice but the alterations manager still wanted me to come in on the original date. She said and I quote " We're so busy and booked we'll try and fit you in". Excuse you???? This is not my fault and my wedding is only a couple weeks away and you are acting like you're doing me a favor by squeezing me in? Not to mention losing wages because I had to leave work early to make appointments that should've been taken care of already. I ended up getting in a day early but not by their insistence, but by mine. I went in and the lady was nice and did my fitting and I left. The next appointment to come in was a day BEFORE I left for my wedding. I went in with my sister who was picking her dress up. She was leaving later for the wedding so she had more time. We walked in and the alterations manager was there and she went on about how busy she was and how she was the only one there with all this work to be done and she had OTHER brides coming in and walk in pinnings to do. It made me feel like I wasn't worth the time and all those other brides were more important and that I should be sooo grateful that she was squeezing me in. That was the theme of my experience, we're squeezing you in so be happy, which was ridiculous since this whole thing WAS NOT MY FAULT. I tried the dress on and one of the bra cups was a third showing and the straps were gapping. I asked why the straps were not supporting anything and were falling off my shoulder, she said the the bodice is supposed to hold everything up and it wasn't the straps job, it is the straps job to stay on my shoulders though....whatever. She had to alter it so she said we'd have to wait. I asked her how long and she said, again, that her next fitting with another bride was at 630 it was 430. So my sister and I had to wait around for 2 hours. We finally came back and when we walked in she asked did you want to try it on again?? I said uh yes, I'd like to make sure it fits. I tried it on and it was better and so I took the dress home, but I had a sad feeling about how everything went. It was an added stress that I didn't need and didn't deserve. ***Update*** I did end up emailing the lady from David's bridal from the comment below on April 16th and received absolutely no answer back. I think they post that response to make it look like they try to make it better or actually care but they don't. Just another disappointment from David's Bridal! read more

Just don't. My sister got her gown and our bridal party dresses from here. She had problems, but we assumed it was a fluke. Flash forward to the next year and it's my turn. Staff is pretty helpful UNTIL YOU PURCHASE, then...good luck! They did my alterations. I drove home 5 hrs away. Put the dress on and realized they had messed up somewhere and the bodice part wasn't right. Drove back down. Didn't even have to tell the other seamstress what was wrong before she went to work and fixed it. I later found out my SIL had similar issues. She had several fittings and each time they told her the dress needed to be let out. She was like, "Well, I guess I'm gaining weight. Fix the dress." But by the 3rd time, she was in disbelief she'd gained so much weight. She asked the seamstress to check the dress and it hadn't been altered at all. So what the hell did they do with it the other 2 times? We've never had an experience that wasn't more hassle than it was worth. Sure, the dresses are cheaper than other places, but remember that you're paying for the whole process, not just the dress. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! read more

Before going to David's Bridal, I checked several online reviews on another site that were completely discouraging, but I've been back twice to try on dresses and I am buying my dress here. The people are nice and helpful, but they did not go above and beyond my expectations. The sales girls are nice enough, but the manager always has an unpleasant look on her face. And she'll try to pressure you into a sale. The dresses... could be better. I love the one I got, obviously, but there weren't very many that I even wanted to try on. Most of them are ugly. Both of the tiaras she pulled for me to try on were broken. Granted I have nothing to compare it to because I haven't looked anywhere else, but I'd say I had an average, if not good, experience. I was happy to look around and spent about 10 minutes getting an idea of what I was drawn to. I was greeted by Emily who apologized for the wait, which I didn't mind at all. She was super personable and was able to guide me in the right direction. An hour later she has helped me find my dream dress, the most beautiful veil, and a bridal belt (which I didn't even know was a thing).
