Went to the one in Brookfield. Marlene did a great job of fetching our desired try-ons, but with all the other employees standing around, I shouldn't have had to search for Marlene (she was helping 4 customers at a time). But, in general, we did not have a good experience. I'm a bigger girl and it was hard to find samples that fit me (size 18). The dress I wanted to try (found on their website) isn't in stock so I couldn't even try it on. I tried other dresses - they all look the same. Literally they all look the same with the exception of maybe lace instead of mesh. And they are ALL sleeveless or slit-skirt, which isn't flattering on every body type. Ultimately, I had to order mine online, pay $15 for s&h, and it's non-returnable/exchangeable. My sister found one she liked, but found out at the time of ordering that it's limited stock, available in only two sizes, neither of which worked for her. They needed to be more informative, the website needs to also be more informative. If we weren't asked to go to David's Bridal by the bride, we wouldn't have. THIS PLACE SUCKS. *Edited to add that I wasn't even acknowledged at the counter when my sister was trying to sort out her situation. No question as to if I found what I was looking for, etc. Only the "buyers" are talked to after the "experience". Both times I have gone to this location (once for my sisters wedding dress, and once for my own bridesmaid dress search) I was appalled by how horrible the customer service was. Each time the employees were of no assistance whether it was searching for dresses, or trying them on. They were no where to be found while we were left to our own to fit into our gowns. I found my dream dress this weekend!! I was lucky enough to be able to work with a manager, Kristin. She listened to what I'd had in mind and she topped a dress I'd found earlier that morning at another salon. The entire staff was so invested in making sure I had a great experience. A seamstress showed me what the bustle would look like before I left to go home and make up my mind. When I went back the next day to purchase my dress the same staff members that had helped me the day before were there to make the moment special for me even though I came alone (my family had driven 9 hours to make a day of dress shopping but had to leave before I'd gone back to purchase the dress). I truly appreciate the care and attention that was given to me to make my search easy and enjoyable. Thanks again! read more

The sales associate we were assigned said on several occasions she doesn't do wedding dress consults. I made the appointment online so they knew we were coming. Every time I'd ask her a question, she'd remind me that she was out of her element. Eventually she found a dress that I liked but her attitude ruined the whole experience for me. read more

You definitely don't get the personalized service you would like at other boutiques, but you definitely can't beat their prices. Not the best quality wedding gowns but like I said a big improvement especially with their Vera Wang collection. I wish they had the zac pose line here in Milwaukee though. I ran into an issue where there was an mistake ordering a bridesmaid dress for a wedding I was standing in. With just a month and a half until the wedding, my dress didn't fit. Christy did all she could to make sure I was taken care of - including calling corporate to see how they could help. She was able to order the correct size, swap out my old dress, all with weeks to spare before the wedding. That could have been a huge mess, but she went above and beyond to make sure there would be no issues. read more

Was very easy to make an appointment and find a beautiful dress. The alterations were a whole different story. My first appointment I had one lazy work with me who very clearly didn't know what she was doing as well as a separate individual who made it clear I should my covering my boobs up more. Came back a week later to pick up my dress and absolutely nothing had been done to it, the pinning had been done all wrong by the first seamstress sp they couldn't do anything. Luckily a different seamstress, I think she was the main one, stepped in and I was able to get my dress that night. read more

It was very busy that day but they made time for me and made me feel like I was the only bride in the store even though there were like 10 other brides. Vladanka in alterations is AMAZING!! She is incredibly helpful and kind, I trust her opinion and she was so willing to take her time to work with me on several different options for my dress. I do have a suggestion, seeing as how she's so incredible - there should be an option to have a seamstress present on the day of the wedding to help with having just the right fit of the dress and make sure the bustle is clear to the person doing the bustling. The day is hectic enough, it would be nice to have am expert to help make sure our dress fits as it should. She made my fitting appointments something to actually look forward to and it would be a nice weight off our shoulders come the special day! read more

We went into David's Bridal looking for shoes to go with my wedding dress and my mother and I walked out with a dress for my bridal shower as well as my rehearsal dinner. Nona was extremely helpful and a wonderful stylist - the two dresses I walked out of the store with I would have NEVER chosen for myself. She was truly AMAZING and found jewelry and a purse to match one of the dresses without being forceful about selling me items. I can't say enough about her; she was a wonderful person to work with and knew what I would like before I even knew it! The only reason this experience is not rated 5/5 is because we walked out with two dresses, one of which could not be ordered and there were beads missing from it - the compensation offered was for the beads to be replaced and the dress to be cleaned free of charge. I felt there could have been more of a cost deduction for this dress just for the fact I bought it off the rack and it was damaged. Aside from that, HIGHLY recommend them - service was great! I made an appointment at 11am--which must have been when they opened because there was a line outside the door. My consultant was Dallas, and she did a really nice job. I gave her pictures of the DB dresses I liked online, and she found what they had available in the store. She did a good job helping me in and out of the dresses and suggesting nice sashes for each dress. The woman who specialized in alterations was also very helpful--I didn't catch her name. My "entourage" had seats outside of the dressing room which was nice. Dallas also did a nice job helping us pick out flower girl dresses for my little flower girl to try. She also found us a sash for her that perfectly matched the coral color I wanted for her. Overall I found a very nice dress at an affordable price. The only downside was it seemed like they could have used more staff as staff had to attend to multiple parties. However, it was a surprisingly nice and special experience. I thought putting my name and wedding date on the dressing door and having me ring a bell when I found the dress were fun touches. Want a dress that's nice but you don't have Oprah money to spend on it? DB in Brookfield is a good option. read more

Wendy was absolutely amazing. We came to just look at wedding dresses for my sister Hannah, but Wendy made her feel so good about everything we ended up being able to decide on one. Wendy was able to hone in on what Hannah was looking for just by using one word and seeing her personality. Other dressers also came by and told her how beautiful she looked. The dresses were affordable, not cheap, and she ended up picking a dress from a designer exclusively at David's. We couldn't have asked for a better, more enjoyable experience. I used to think davids bridal was a great place for gowns and accessories but I was sadly mistaken. Planning my wedding I quickly found out they have ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. It's basically like shopping online for a store that's in China. No one can help you and you won't get what you want or ordered. I was pressured into buying my wedding dress 2 sizes bigger. When it came it was big but I didn't think much about it. I tried it on again and it's huge I'm swimming in it. But I remembered when I bought it my consultant told me I could exchange it for a size down if need be. Well my dress is brand new with tags and when I called and asked nicely to exchange because it's so big I can't even alter it appropriately she told me "we don't do that anymore" I have a brand new dress that I paid $1,000 dollars for and I can't even exchange the size. That's unbelievable to me. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

During my wedding planning year, I was in Milwaukee for the day for other reasons, so I made appointments at several Milwaukee area bridal salons. One of them was David's Bridal in Brookfield. I ended up buying my bridesmaid dress from them, even though I was going to have to drive back up to Milwaukee to get it altered. The service staff was excellent. I was visiting both to get a dress for a wedding I was standing up in and to check out some of the (then) new styles for the spring. Despite being swamped, I never felt rushed. When I told the attendant what I was looking for, she specifically selected dresses that fit my needs. She gave suggestions like using a sash normally used on bridesmaid dresses to add color to a basic David's dress design. Honestly, I was *this* close to getting my wedding dress there. I still lust after the dress/sash combo the consultant set up for me. If I ever marry again... :) As is, I bought the bridesmaid dress I needed from them even though the David's in Vernon Hills, IL was much closer to my home. By comparison, the service at this David's was excellent, so I wanted to give them my business despite the distance. Highly recommend checking them out if you're in need of bridalwear! read more

I was worried I would be a consultant's worst nightmare when I went in for my appointment. There was nothing typical about this shotgun wedding I was planning, and I was actually dreading this appointment. (How many brides say that?!) I hate wearing dresses, recently had a baby, and this wedding is more of a formality before we have the big event. My consultant was Dallas, and she was awesome! She was so patient & helpful and I felt like I was shopping with a friend. She & the other salespeople were very determined to help me find something I would feel comfortable in. Another David's Bridal in another state helped me and went over and above. With working with them, I found out information given by the Brookfield location was inaccurate and/or lies to get the sale. On Monday, January 15, 2018 around 11:00AM, I visited the David's Bridal store at 16900-CW Blue Mound Rd Brookfield, WI 53005 to try on wedding dresses for my wedding. To put it mildly, I had the worst customer experience ever and left very disappointed as I was looking forward to sharing this moment with my sister. I flew to WI, since my sister live there to share this moment with her as she's my only family. When we arrived at the store, an employee asked me write down my information and mentioned an employee would be with us shortly. After 20 minutes of waiting, with the store half empty and only 3 of the 7 employees busy with other brides, an employee came up to us and asked what we were there for and I mentioned I was there to try on wedding dresses. She immediately replied back that she didn't work with brides, only bridesmaids (is this actually a thing at your stores?), and kept on asking me if I wanted a bridesmaid dress for which I kept saying that I am the bride and not bridesmaid. Her facial expression communicated her disbelief that I was the actual bride and not a bridesmaid. After that exchange, we kept looking at dresses for another 30 minutes and when nobody helped us, we left the store. On our way out, they didn't ask if I wanted to reschedule an appointment or apologize for the horrible service, they simply said goodbye. They never asked me what type of dress I was looking for, if I had any idea of what type of dress I was interested in, or at least ask which ones I wanted to try on. As a store that aims to cater to women getting married and should strive to provide top-notch customer service for such an important event in a woman's life, I was extremely disappointed with my experience and will probably refrain from shopping at your stores going forward. As a recommendation, I suggest you provide training to your sales reps on how to provide excellent customer service to women who visit your stores with the expectation and excitement of finding their wedding dress. If you already provide this training, please send someone to train the staff at Brookfield once again. read more

Terrible selection. Dresses looked cheaply made and with inferior material. I was interested in the Jenny Packham Wonder collection. Found out when I got there that it is only in select stores and the nearest one is in Illinois. You would have to drive to another state to even see if you liked it. No way to tell which stores have it..you just have to call. Was looking for a long dress with any kind of sleeve or coverage for a winter church wedding. They had nothing...literally nothing with even a cap sleeve. Manager said sleeves aren't on trend right now...I beg to differ as they had many bridal dresses with sleeves. I had a bridal appointment today. Dallas was the stylist to help me. It was awesome! We found 4 dresses close to the 6 I had favorited on their app. The second dress I tried on, all my bridesmaids all gasped. It was perfect. She was even able to help me pick out a touch of color, head piece, and veil. And it only took about an hour. I would highly recommend this David's Bridal and to work with Dallas! read more

On Thursday July 2, 2015 I called David's Bridal in Brookfield to make an appointment for Friday July 10th. The person who answered (I'm not sure of her name) was very pleasant and helpful. She scheduled me for an 11 am appointment for July 10th; and encouraged me to pick out dresses online prior to my appointment. I was very pleased with her demeanor and customer service. Friday July 10, 2015: I arrived with a friend a few minutes early for my appointment. There were a few of us waiting. The person who checked me in said that my appointment was for bridesmaid dresses, rather than bridal. I was a little concerned at that point; but she told me to begin looking and my consultant would be with me shortly. Within a few minutes Dallas, my consultant, introduced herself to me. She asked me a few questions about my preferences and began pulling dresses for me. I liked how Dallas engaged me in conversation while helping me try on dresses. She helped me to relax and have fun. At one point, Dallas needed to assist another customer. She politely explained to my friend (I was in the dressing room) that she needed to step away for a few minutes to assist another customer; and asked my friend if she would help me. During the short time that Dallas was away Liz, the store manager, checked in with us. She talked with us about the dresses I was trying on; and then she pulled a few more for me to try. After keeping my second appointment that day at a boutique, I returned to David's Bridal and purchased my dress. I appreciate the service that Liz and Dallas provided. They were pleasant, engaging, fun, and provided good feedback. They really helped make the day a success! read more

Honestly, some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced, in so many different ways. When you are in person in the store, they are great, but what happens after you order is horrible. I have ordered from Davids Bridal for a few different weddings, and without fail there is always something wrong with someones order. This just causes stress for the bride and her bridesmaids, when Davids Bridal should instead be doing everything they can to make it stress free. They are not easy to reach on the phone, and if you order accessories online you cannot return them in store. You have to return them online. I understand the prices are significantly cheaper, but you definitely get what you pay for here. read more

My sister is getting married in July and we ordered our bridesmaids dresses through davids bridal. We loved the dresses and were very excited to get them, however when we receieved the dresses one of them came in without the attachable straps. When my sister told the store about the mistake on their part they were extremely unhelpful and told her she would have to come into the store return the dress, order a whole new one and wait for the new one to come in which would hopefully have the straps but who knows since the last one didn't. We spent over 500 dollars in their store not to mention paid for a dress with straps and didn't get any an they couldn't be more accomadating and just order us straps especially since it was their mistake in the first place. I was outraged with their customer service. They said there was nothing they could do and I found that hard to believe. I would definitely not recommend this store to anyone. I hope they know that a large part of advertising is word of mouth and I have told all my friends about this ridiculous incident. I'm at the age where all of my friends are getting married and none of them will be shopping at davids bridal! read more

The only good thing about this store is the staff was pretty helpful. Other than that, I will never buy a dress here again. I ordered my three bridesmaids dresses 6 months before my wedding. They then said the dresses won't arrive until a day before the wedding. I called and they said they would put a rush on the order and gave an arrival time of a few weeks before my wedding. They then called and changed the arrival time again until 5 days before the wedding. On top of that, they shipped the wrong color dress to one of my bridesmaids and now she has to wait even longer. Okay this is a long story..I bought my wedding dress here and love it but customer service was horrible from alterations and at the register. I went in for my first fitting and it was a disaster from the start. They set me up with one of the alterations employees and she had me get into my undergarments. When I was all set she came in and made me feel uneasy because she kept adjusting my strapless bra and slip. She was unsure of the placement and kept figeting. Then she goes to blame me saying well I don't know if this is going to lay properly because you didn't buy a longline bra! I'm sorry but those are extremely uncomfortable and the strapless works just fine! Then she started making me feel worse because she was telling me "well I have no idea how you're going to have spanx underneath with your bra and slip and be able to go to the bathroom at all!?" What the heck is her problem! Can't I just remove the spanx when I'm going potty! I have no idea why it was any of her concern honestly! She then puts my wedding dress on and zips it up. She has me walk out of the changing room to inspect the dress. The dress does not go over my hips and this is something she doesn't notice until I mentioned it! She goes "Oh I've never seen this dress before!" Ok but you should know how a dress should fit a body! I then asked her "you've really never seen this dress while working here? It's a very popular Vera Wang dress at David's Bridal"..um (it's even on display on a mannequin there!) Her response was no. She had to then get which seemed to me the more experienced seamstress to check the fit of the dress on me. She said yes it was bunching up on my stomach. So now I'm upset because the dress I bought doesn't fit. My mother said do you think somehow they ordered a size too small? They never even took my measurements..and what they said to me was well people's bodies change basically saying that I got fatter and that's why my dress didn't fit. In two months I did not increase to another full dress size! So they put on the floor sample dress in the right size and they gave me the option of buying it. It was so disgusting! It smelled and had stains and rips all over! Honestly how could you expect someone to wear that! I said no that I would need a new one and thank god they said they would be able to exchange it for no costs because there were no alterations done yet to my original dress. My mother was curious and asked the seamstress "how will you shorten the length of the dress and hem it?" She didn't know how! She had to ask the more experienced seamstress again! I'm sorry but now I feel very worried and upset that my wedding dress will be at the hands of this inexperienced person! I will ask for another person when it comes to alterations! So at the end of all of this they have me go up front to the register to order a new dress. I was able to order the same dress in a different size but that it wouldn't come until a week before my wedding and they would still have to do alterations on it in time! They at first said "oh we will have 3 weeks to do the alterations" and I said how if my wedding is August 4th. They said we have written that you said it was August 24th! Why would I give you the wrong date! You guys messed up! I was so frustrated and I was trying to be optimistic. I said okay last time my dress came in way before the expected arrival date so maybe the dress will arrive early! And the girl at the register then goes to me "Yeah, but that doesn't always happen!" Well thanks for being so negative! My mom and I left the store in disbelief. Not once did someone reassure me or say we're so sorry this has happened, don't worry we will take care of it, everything will be okay. NOTHING! I felt like they weren't willing to help me. Went there today to pick up my bridesmaids dress. When I got there, there was maybe 3 people trying on dresses and they each already had an associate with them. So I get to the desk and tell the young lady that I am there to pick up a dress, as she is getting the dress I use the restroom. When I come back out, she's nowhere to be seen so I go back up to the front, where she is carrying on a conversation with a young man, which from their mannerisms seems like they were dating. After she takes her time talking to him, she finally brings me my dress. Then asks if I want to take it home to try it on or try it on at the store. I asked if I could try it on at the store. She takes me back to the dressing room, and she clearly sees that I am by myself, but yet does not ask if I would need help putting the dress on. I wait 5-10min to see if she comes to ask if I need assistance. Nope she doesn't, I come out of the dressing room. Frustrated, sign the paper and leave. And when I called the manager to complain she seemed to laugh it off. If I do get married I am definitely NOT coming to this location! read more

I had a fantastic experience here. Went in "just looking" because I found some dresses online I liked on sale and honestly wasn't sure if the quality was what I was looking for. The quality was just fine and the selection of both bridal and bridesmaids dresses was excellent. They were friendly and super helpful and found someone to help me despite the fact it was a busy Saturday. My consultant Kendra styled me beautifully with accessories I would not have thought to try. Other members of staff stopped and told me how fabulous I looked. I found my dress that day quite unexpectedly. I like this place! Will be getting the bridesmaids dresses here as well. read more

I tried to order a dress online, the sale price wasn't coming up when I put the dress in my cart. So I emailed customer service as they were closed. I called the next day and talked to someone who said they could order the dress for me on the phone. This guy took all my info, I had to re-spell my name for him three times, give him my address twice, and read him my cc# twice because he kept putting information in incorrectly. I placed the order and then after 3 hours still didn't get a confirmation email. I called and customer service simply wasn't able to help me. The idiot had put in my email wrong after I spelled my name for him THREE TIMES. Now my order is tied to an email address where my name is spelled wrong and they CANNOT update it in their system. The only way to get updates on my order is to go to the website myself and put in the order number and the incorrect email because that is where all the info, including tracking updates and/or backorder information would be sent. They offered me a consolation of 10% off and free shipping on my next order, which is ridiculous because I won't ever order through them again and they ALWAYS have free shipping and little 10% off deals. Poor customer service is huge. Don't hire people who can't listen and type to take online calls... and fix your software so you can update a damn email address in your system. What a mess! I ordered my bridesmaids dress in March. The other bridesmaids had their dresses within a couple weeks of ordering. I was originally told I would have mine on May 24th (which they deny) so I scheduled an alterations appointment for May 27th (I mean really, if you hadn't told me May 24th why on earth would I have scheduled and alterations appointment for the 27th, I have better things to do than randomly schedule appts. On the 24th they told me it would acctually be in June 7th. I continually followed up (approx 4-5 phone calls). I called two days ago (June 7th) and it is not in. They then told me it left the warehouse on June 9th and wouldn't be in until June 14th (why they can't overnight it is beyond me). I have to leave for the wedding on the 17th and will have no time to get the dress altered. When I mentioned that to the manager she had the nerve to say "Are you sure you even need it altered? " I told her I can't answer that because I STILL don't have my dress. Oh and the reason I don't have my dress? The store never sent in the purchase order. I thought maybe my problem and the bad customer service was a fluke, but from what I've read online it isn't. I plan to contact EVERY bridal blog and news station I can think of as well as distribute flyers sharing my story at local bridal shows for the next two years. NO one should have to go through this. read more

Then I tried on a dress but it was horribly damaged. They told me there was nothing they could do about it and it's not for sale. Why keep a dress that badly damaged on the floor. The staff here is so unbelievably helpful!!! I will never go anywhere else for formal wear. I came in 3 weeks before my wedding and they helped me from start to finish and took away any stress I had.
