    Dress I chose will be a secret

    I came in for my appointment not really knowing what to expect--I was honestly just hoping to get an idea for what kind of dress I might like. I had no idea what style I wanted and honestly wasn't expecting to find THE dress that day. Birdie, my stylist, was so kind and patient throughout the entire appointment. She guided me through trying on different styles, asked thoughtful questions about what I liked or didn't, and really helped me narrow down what felt right. She also gave us plenty of time to take photos, look at the dress from different angles (with and without the train), and really picture it. To my surprise, I ended up finding the PERFECT dress--one that I absolutely love and can't wait to wear on my special day!!! (I definitely teared up ) I'm so grateful for Birdie's help and really enjoyed the whole experience

    SERVICE It feels transactional and not genuine. I was disappointed with the lady that helped us. First time Brides are nervous, let's face it, they're under a lot of pressure. SELECTION Obviously, David's Bridal sales associates should understand that these young brides are going to be looking at several bridal gown locations before they make their final pick. Who doesn't? Why aren't these sales associates 'trained' in showing compassion towards their potential customers by letting them know they understand that it is difficult to make choices and that despite their selection, it may still be challenging to find 'the right one', just like finding a mate. The sales lady gave us a few selections and after trying them on, our Bride casually pointed out that she still had an appointment with a privately owned bridal company. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her disgust and anger as if smoke and fire was coming out of her ears. She became so passive aggressive towards our Bride that I came up to her myself and told her "I hope you don't pick this business. She's a horrible representative for David's Bridal, she just left a bad taste in our mouth as a result of her poor customer service skills. She has zero skills." Here's what broke my heart. There was another family sitting next to us and their beautiful Bride was trying on several dresses too. I was listening in to the other Bride's conversation with her family and she said "Dad, David's Bridal CANNOT give me an estimate of the alterations I need for this dress UNTIL I PURCHASE the dress." What?!! Did I hear that correctly? She was tearing up behind her smile. Poor thing. So let me say it without sugar coating it. My question to David's Bridal is, you do know that Brides save up their hard earned money to have a memorable wedding. The value you can provide is important to them. When you don't train your sales reps and make their existence all about being TRANSACTIONAL and not authentic, you lose customers like us. And no, I would not recommend this business to any Brides who are rightfully conscious about how much money they need to spend on their gowns. Don't be fooled by the prices. Their prices look appealing but they're not once you add up all those surprise alteration fees they add to your final gown purchase.

    What's the most important thing about a wedding dress shop? Is it the customer service? The quick turn around? How about the being able to actually get what you paid for? Amazingly, David's Bridal at Burbank is terrible at all 3. They've failed not once, not twice, not even three times but 4 separate times. First incident: my fiancé found the perfect dress and after doing the measurements and paying for alteration (ridiculous amount btw...$700) but when she finally came to pick ilnthe dress, what happened? They RIPPED THE DRESS on the front and then had the AUDACITY to say it was "a flaw in the fabric that came out after steaming." WHY WOULD YOU SELL A FLAWED DRESS IN THE FIRST PLACE? Also, no. There were original photos of the dress that had no "flaw in the fabric" Second incident: they said they would replace the dress (only after we kept refusing to take the ruined dress they tried to push on us) and make everything PERFECT. But they had to alter the dress 3 SIZES DOWN. We get a text saying the replacement is ready. So we drive all the way down to Burbank only to be told that the dress is not ready and we have to come again in a few weeks. Third incident:We wait another month and surprise, surprise, the dress doesn't look ANYTHING like the original as was made apparent by the shoddy alteration job. Guess what they do after again trying to push her to take the dress? They make more false promises to fix it and we just need to come back the day after. Fourth incident: we come back the day after and to no surprise the dress is still ruined. they try to push it on us and refuse to give a refund. The dress looked SO DIFFERENT from the original that the workers even tried to say MY FIANCÉ WAS SHOWING THEM A PICTURE OF A DIFFERENT DRESS. My fiancé also said the dress was too tight and they had the AUDACITY to say it wasn't tight and then tried to blame the way she's standing. 20 days before our wedding and my fiancé has to find a wedding dress. What a terrible experience. Time and time again DB failed to even do the basics of their job: provide a wedding dress. I'd give this place negative stars if I could. TLDR; don't go here. They: 1) ripped the first dress we paid for 2) made false promises on the replacement dress and completely ruined the replacement with the alterations 3) gaslit my fiancé saying her altered dress wasn't too tight and blamed her posture. Unacceptable.

    Shout out to Emilio & all the ladies that work here. I was on a tight schedule after a few complications before coming to David's Bridal. They worked with me and were so supportive and helped me find THE dress. Another Shout out the hard working ladies in alterations department as well, I got my dress right on time and it fit me perfectly. The alterations prices were steep so maybe find another place (don't be like me a do everything last minute!)

    My fiancé went shopping for her dress. She was able to find a dress that she could see her self getting married in. She also bought a veil which was around $200. When she purchased the veil and dress, she was never given the veil to take home. My fiance left the store that day thinking they would present the veil with the dress to see how they would look together. She goes back for the alterations and the final fit before she takes the dress home. She takes the dress home. And she realizes while driving from the store that she never got her veil. She speaks to somebody and they say "We'll send it out by overnight mail and you will receive it tomorrow". They never call back. The next day passes and no package. So she calls again and speaks to a new person. Kristen (The manager) says the same thing ultimately and says "well check with our inventory team, and we'll call back once we have shipped it". Again, Kristen does not call back. My fiance calls back again about 2 hours after the call. They say they won't ship it because their inventory shows that she received it!! She never received anything!! Their response was "oooo maybe a family member took it?? Or maybe it's somewhere in your car??". My fiance is crying at this point because Kristen is insinuating that she is either stupid and lost it or she's lying and she received it and is trying to get another for free. Kristen had the audacity to say "I can offer you a discount, should you choose to buy another". Why would I buy something that we already paid for !!!??? This place has literally ruined my brides best day of her life. I will never ever return to this place. And I will never recommend that anyone comes to this place. I am going to post this exact story to my social media to warn people because this is not okay and I am definitely going to report them to the better business bureau.

    5 stars for the staff I worked with during my appointment (Nicole and a gentleman stylist), but the dress options just weren't it for me (thus the 4 stars). That's not to say they didn't have beautiful options, but David's was already at a disadvantage because I fell in love with another dress; I just didn't know how much I loved this other dress until I tried on some beautiful dresses here, that just didn't live up to how I felt in "the dress". When you know, you know, I guess. 1 hour Bridal appointments are made by calling in ahead of time to schedule. You are assigned a stylist, and sent to peruse a few styles on the floor. They had us take photos of the barcodes of dresses I wanted to try. (Tip: take a photo of the dress before the barcode, so you know which ones you want to prioritize). They bring some dresses over for you to try in some dressing rooms, with large mirrors just outside of the room. The stylists help you close up the back of the dress if needed, and help to arrange the train so you can get the full effect of each dress. They discuss with you the parts of the dress you like, and don't like so they can get you closer to finding the dress of your dreams. This location is a good place to check out for a more affordable dress. One of my favorite styles was one I don't know that I'd have ordinarily tried, and was suggested by my stylist - a beautiful, simple, trumpet style dress (pictured in the photo attached to this review).

    My wife and I came by a couple months ago to pick out a dress for our Vegas ceremony and we had a wonderful experience picking out the dress. At check-in, we were paired with Caroline, she was kind and thoughtful to my Wife's needs. Though we were non-traditional as to where the Groom joined in to help pick out the dress, we felt no judgement and respected at every step. We were lucky enough that the dress was a perfect fit and able to take it home that day!

For some reason, the discount did not apply. I noticed and contacted customer service immediately. I asked if they could honor the discount and gave them the code but was told, with no hesitation or understanding whatsoever that they would not do that. I then proceeded to ask politely if they might be able to issue a gift card for the difference that I would use on my next order. Sounds fair... right? The answer was No! However, I was in the need of some work shoes, so I stopped by when was quickly reminded upon entering the place that they have all types of shoes, just might be the nicest overall 'brick & mortar' shoe store in the area. The prices are fair, the selection vast, no high-pressure sales people, but they're helpful when needed. The stores paid out well and clean and organized which makes shopping g quick and painless. Also, plenty of parking.

However, the staff handled the situation professionally: they called another employee to help organize people for the fitting rooms while the first employee was busy giving out online orders. I also think the store could really benefit from having self-checkout or express checkout lanes. Some customers have carts full of items, while others are waiting in the same line with only one or two things to buy, which makes the wait feel longer. Overall, I left satisfied with my shopping experience. The prices are above average, so I don't come here very often because of that. But I always check the sale sections, and that's where I usually find beautiful dresses for myself. The store also has a great selection of men's clothing. There was no clear explanation or flexibility--just a flat denial. What's frustrating is the inconsistency. If policies have changed, that should be clearly communicated to customers at the time of purchase. However, a woman who works there and was on the morning shift was extremely rude, insisting that the shoes were used when that was not true. I explain to her that never wore the shoes because they didn't fit me, but she kept claiming something that wasn't correct and was being very rude about it. She gave me a towel to "clean" something that wasn't dirty, and she did it in a very disrespectful way. I feel that the way she treated me was not right because I never disrespected her at any moment. They really need to work on their customer service, because this is not how customers should be treated.
