I had low expectations, but this David's Bridal has been my worst wedding dress experience yet. I called to make an appointment the day before and asked what was available around 1pm. They told me 1pm would be fine and booked the appointment. I show up the next day, and the place was packed. There were multiple employees standing around and yet I had to wait until 2pm for them to take me back and start the appointment. Even then, I was shoved in a back "cave" and the consultant was very rushed. She quickly pulled two dresses to try on and disappeared. My friends helped me try them on, then I waited around in a dress for 10 minutes and the consultant never came back. One of my friends had to go the front desk to find our consultant and also asked to speak to a manager. Finally, closer to 3pm, the place cleared out a little and they moved me to the main platform dressing area. The manager came over and apologized, and ended up helping us for the remainder of the appointment, which is the only reason I am giving 3 stars. This all could have been avoided if they had mentioned they would be busy when I made the appointment - I wouldn't have minded just making the appointment for later! read more

Maybe I was just prepared for much worse, so the store being decent was a shock, not sure, but I had a pleasant experience. The dresses and cleanliness of the store were much better than the ones I had seen 8 years earlier at the David's Bridal in Pinole. That place was so gross. In Burbank, everyone was friendly and helpful but not the most knowledgeable. We described dresses that the bride had seen online but the clerk didn't know what we were referring to. Finally we asked for a catalog and could point out the dresses. We took a long time trying on tons of dresses and switching back and forth between two. They were very patient, never rushing us. My friend (who is more impulsive than I would be) bought a dress, veil, sash, and shoes for a decent price. She hated the experience of looking for a dress and just wanted it over. After alterations (not at Davids), on the day of the wedding, the metal hook above the zipper broke off. It isn't the worst thing that could happen, and it actually allowed her to breathe, but it shouldn't have happened. Besides that, the dress held up very well. Years ago every dress I heard of coming from David's would fall apart. A bridesmaids dress I had was a rag by the end of the night. Overall, I feel they have improved a lot both with styles and quality. read more

My stylist Mackenzie was perfect, she helped me and put me on right direction. Five star for sure

This is my first experience being involved in a wedding and dealing with dresses and alterations. So I'll make this short and sweet. ARTEMIS is one hard working lady and made this process so much easier than I imagined. She is awesome!!! The end. read more

Went here for bridesmaid dresses. Maybe my expectations were too high, but still. All the dresses looked the same: cheap boring satin nothing. I get that it's supposed to be affordable, but that doesn't mean it has to be ugly. I must say, however, their new Vera Wang White line has got some gorgeous bridal gowns. I already have a bridal gown, so I just focused on hating their bridesmaid dresses. read more

I must say Kelly at the Burbank store gets a 10!!! She was amazing and is the only reason I am even adding two stars to the review-she was so funny and fun she really made the experience memorable and pleasurable. I was frustrated that they didn't have sizes in most of the dresses I wanted and I don't want to order a dress and be stuck with it I need to try things on! So that was frustrating. They need to fix their registered to provide a faster check out process (for the customer and the poor employee who has to ring people up). And the communication with alterations needs to be improved! So again KELLY gets a 10 she was absolutely amazing. The store needs to increase size availability and selection and other systematic errors/difficulties. read more

After going to many places looking for my daughters quinceañera court dresses I was happy and relieved to come across Maritza, manager at the Burbank location. She went above and beyond in finding various styles of dresses that would work for the girls' body types, prices right and arriving on time. I should have gone to David's bridal from the get go. Highly recommend making an appointment but the ladies were all super nice and helpful. They have a good team at the location. read more

So happy about my wedding dress- big shout out to Ashleigh T. who helped with my final fitting. She was super nice and taught us the best way to put everything together and even set up a quick alteration to fix a little issue so we could still take it home the same day. Thanks so much! read more

I had the best experience on July 22nd. I went to the burbank location because I've been wedding dress shopping @ davids for quite sometime & I went there for a particular dress. Needless to say I didn't end up liking the dress I went for, but I found another dress that I loved & bought! All the staff was very courteous & outgoing, but I do recommend you make your appointment with Ana Giron wedding consultant. She was so funny, honest, & very helpful. Nobody was with me when I found my dress, but it was great that I actually found my dress w/ana:-)! read more

My daughter made an appointment and selected several "favorites" to try on. Sarah Ann helped us, had all of the dresses ready, as well as a couple she selected based on the type my daughter liked. We all liked one of her choices the best! This is a big "To Do" off of our list. Sarah Ann was fantastic, but everyone there was friendly and enthusiastic. I'm sure they are all awesome, as well! read more

David's Bridal - Thanks, Sarah-Ann, for helping my daughter find the wedding dress of her dreams! You are awesome! - Bridal Near Me - Burbank, California

Apprehensive and Dreadful. That's how I felt before I went to get my dress. Definitely had low expectations going in and preconceived notions about David's bridal. All of them were wrong. Sarah Ann is 100 % of the reason I was turned around. She is genuinely kind, patient, and attentive. It was the wedding dress experience all girls dream of and I'm not much of a dreamer. If there were more people like Sarah Ann in the world it would be a much better planet. I entered with apprehension and dread and I left filled with joy and excitement. Thanks to my dress Jedi, please give this woman a raise. Also, great selection, reasonable prices, all sizes. read more

I went to get a bridesmaid dress I enquired about online and it turned out they had discontinued the color I needed and they did not have the style I needed. The staff was very nice, patient and helpful; they called corporate and other stores to try to help me find the dress. Unfortunately, it was nowhere to be found. They were able to help me find a very similar style in the color I needed. I was so relieved and so was my bridezilla friend. Thanks to them for never giving up in finding me the perfect dress! read more

David's Bridal - The perfect dress! I loved the cut and style. I can't wait to wear it! - Bridal Near Me - Burbank, California

After reading the reviews from this place, I was a little hesitant to come. However, this was the closest to my house so I took a chance. I came with my sisters and mom. My consultant was Melissa. She was great and very patient. She pulled quite a few dresses for me to try. After 3 exhausting hours, I ended up with the original dress I came to the store to try on. My consultant had to go to lunch in the middle of my time, but she left me in good hands with another consultant that really helped me make my final decision by putting all the accessories on me to make me really see the final picture. Other people complained that they overcharged for the slip or bra, but this is a specialty store! That should already be expected! In the end, it's up to you to buy or not, but I think $49 for the bra is a good deal considering that same bra at victoria's secret is like $80. So.... I give this place 5 stars and I would definitely recommend it to someone else. Pros: easy parking, large selection of gowns, they can customize practically anything, large selection of dresses for the whole wedding party, friendly and knowledgeable staff, several financing options, and sale prices Cons: store was a little small, so many people in the store (felt like I was at a black Friday sale), even if you have an appointment you have to wait for an available consultant, each consultant it assigned to 2 brides so you have to share the consultant's time and area with the other bride, and not too many seats available for guests, and if you come at the wrong time, your consultant might have to leave you in the middle of your fitting to go to lunch. read more

I went just wanting to get an idea of what type of wedding dress i wanted. I suffer of high anxiety which takes a LOT of time for me to decide on things. Despite having made an appointment, I had to stand around waiting for 20 minutes before I was being helped. The receptionist was very apologetic and tried really hard to call out someone to assist me though. To me, this place is like ground zero. I'd like to know what kind of dress I get with a 1k budget. I honestly think that the prettiest dresses here are the White by Vera Wang and the Oleg dresses. I saw many brides trying their dresses too. Apparently, you have to share the bridal gown consultant with another bride when you are there. So she assists you both. I have to say that the changing room is the smallest of the bridal shops I've been to. The lighting in the changing area also isn't the best. The lady who helped me into the dresses was sweet and nice but not a professional. She wasn't able to clamp up the dress tight enough for me that it keeps falling and I have to keep pulling it up to take a decent picture. An organza embellishment of the dress I wore was torn and I had to hold it up so that I can see what the dress should actually look like when she could helped to pin it up perhaps? What I like about this place is how friendly the other BTBs and their bridal parties were. One BTB wink and smile at me as we were wearing the same dress but in different color. A bridal party who was seated right outside my changing room would give their honest remarks. These little gestures meant much to me as my bridal party is overseas. Alas, the Vera Wang dresses didn't look as nice on me as it was on their models. I knew this wasn't the place I would find my dream gown but it was a good place to begin my dress search and have my dear hubby to understand why it is a 2k gown at the end of the day. read more

Came here randomly with my friend bride-to-be after looking at wedding dresses at Karoza in Glendale. Since David's Bridal is kind of like the Gap of the wedding dress world, we came to check out styles and prices. Obvious, we know that by coming here without an appointment it wasn't going to be a personalized trip. However, we had no idea that it was going to be MAYHEM coming on a Saturday. Browsing the store without a consultant was nauseating, nor did we find any dress styles for my friend. We then decided that maybe looking into bridesmaids dresses would be easier to sort through. We were wrong and finding bridesmaids dresses was also a confusing ordeal. There was also a poor selection of styles for the brides' ladies-in waiting. One fun part of the trip was being able to snoop on other brides finding their perfect dresses and having their friends and families share in the experience with them. It was so sweet, and the women all looked beautiful in their dresses. When coming you should: 1. Make an appointment. 2. Try to come on a weekday, less hassle 3. Make your appt's early so you can avoid the crowded parking lot 4. Be wary about the special "bridal facials" for you and your bride, I went to one and it was fun, but some of you may not be into it. read more

Sweet Dominique could not have made my first experience trying on bridal dresses more special!! She was so kind, personable, and made me feel so comfortable and elegant. I can't recommend requesting Dom enough - she's such a gem and made me and my Mum feel so welcome. Even with all the safety precautions (which everyone we saw there followed perfectly!) we felt like we were trying on dresses at home. We found three favorites and can't wait to come back and work with our stylist again to selected the perfect one. Thanks Dominique, you really made our day!! read more

I have come to this David's Bridal twice (I was not the bride to be but a bridesmaid in both cases) and our experience did not improved! This David's bridal has not a good selection of dresses, they do not have a variety of sizes on the dresses they do have, in both occasions they had or really large sizes or really small and the entire bridal party could not try the same dress at the same time or in some cases we could not try them at all. I will recommend to anyone to not go to this place but maybe choose another place. Not good at all! read more

I was supposed to be a brides maid... I had an appointment with this store to try on the dress and shoes that we selected by the bride. My color and size was not in stock, so it had to be order, and wouldn't arrive for another two months. I paid for my items and awaited their arrival. Sadly... it was not in the stars for me to be in my friends wedding. We got into a fight the next night and I was out of her wedding. Ah... C'est la vie. I called them the next morning and explained to the manager my situation. Thankfully she was sympathetic to my Bridezilla and said if I could come in that day she would be able to refund my money to me, since I don't have the items. DB has a no return policy, so I was very very grateful to them. It would really suck if I had to keep the ugly dress and shoes. I did like my attendant when I tried on my items, she was really helpful and nice. I'm sorry that it didn't work out, but thanks DB for having a heart and understanding! If I'm ever in the need for something like this again, I'll definitely go to this location. BTW, I have been here before, it's where my mom got her Mother of the Bride dress, and where my sister got her brides maid dress for my wedding. Both of them had a great experience here in 2012. read more

I'm not gonna lie...I was really hesitant to come to David's Bridal because of the mixed reviews but thankfully, I'm glad we came here! I came here with my mom in search of a Mother of the Bride gown for my beautiful mom. We made an appt the day before and when you get there, they check you in and ask you to look around until your consultant meets with you. Initially, I wasn't impressed with their selection and my mom hesitantly picked out a few that we thought looked okay...then, we met ANTHONY! Anthony listened to my mom's needs and he picked out 1 dress that my mom instantly fell in love with. She tried it on first and immediately "said yes to the dress" without even trying on the other gowns she picked out. Anthony also matched her with a shawl and also showed her what it would look once everything was hemmed and altered. Checking out was easy and we were out of there in 30 minutes. Anthony was very helpful, cheerful, and has an eye for style!! My mom just loved him! Thank you, Anthony!!!! read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. I walked in with a girlfriend on a Saturday afternoon for my first attempt at finding my wedding dress. Granted I didn't make an appointment, but was under the impression appointments weren't necessary. After taking a look around the store we approached the greeting table to ask for assistance. It was only then that the sales girl and manager asked if I had an appointment; when I said I didn't they said they'd try to find someone who was available to help me. After another 15 minutes of walking around unassisted we took a dress off the rack to get a closer look. Suddenly out of nowhere a sales lady jumps out and scoldingly says, "don't remove the dresses from the rack." We explained we just wanted to take a closer look, and she snaps back, "only a bridal professional can take dresses off the rack." I told her we'd been waiting for one for 20 minutes, after which she took the dress from us, hung it back up and said she'd try to see if anyone was available. We left immediately. It felt like that scene in Pretty Woman where she tries to shop on Rodeo Drive but gets snobbed out of the store. Shame on you David's Bridal. I hate you. read more

Terry, Cassie and maritza were beyond amazing with helping me find a dress! I had an appt at the Northridge location, but I didn't get much help from the staff so I left pretty disappointed. I drove over to this morning action without an appt and to my surprise the staff at the Burbank location helped me find my dress and accessories!! They are amazing here!! I will always be back to this location! Thank you all for helping me find my wedding dress read more

The key word here is horrible service! You have to expect this from a huge chain but our consultant brought out our dresses and never checked up on us again. Keep in mind that each consultant is helping atleast 3 different parties. We went in for bridesmaid dresses so maybe brides get better treatment. Everyone is super RUDE and we ended up walking out of there after trying on 2 dresses. If you want more intimate service try another place. read more

The pros of Davids Bridal in general: If you are a bride with out-of-town BM this is definately the best place to find a great variety of BM dresses and the have so many locations. The cons of DB: This is my third time coming to this location (once for my sister's wedding ,once as a bride, and now for my BM.) What I generally find is MOODY staff, a feeling of being rushed and lots of attitude. My consultant this time was Debbie. For the most part my bridesmaid and I felt ignored and she gave off a sense that she just so annoyed half the time. I understand that as a sales person u deal with lots of people's crap. But hello!!!! As a bridal boutique consultant this is in ur job description. So do ur job or quit. In general I find this kind of attitude in this location. If u are the type of bride who does not liked feeling pressured into buying sonething or feeling rushed, avoid this place. However I can not give it a one star because they have a great selection of BM dresses. Just be prepared to deal with some attitude. read more

This review is for salesperson NORMA. She helped me look for my wedding shoe. She is just very sweet, helpful and accommodating. It took me a while to pick the right wedding shoe, so many choices plus I need something comfortable for my big day. Going wedding shopping as a full-figured woman can be incredibly daunting. Aside from being nervous about finding the right dress I have to fight a multitude of insecurities. I had so many concerns and fears going into my bridal appointment but all of those fears were quickly brushed aside as Alina came to greet me and my guests. She was incredibly accommodating and went out of her way to make sure that my appointment was every bit as special as I imagined it could be. She was like a heat seeking missle finding the dresses from my favorites list and it was because of her efforts that my appointment was a success. Aside from Alina, everyone from the David's Bridal team in Burbank was incredibly nice and there wasn't a moment that I wasn't greeted with a smile and sincere compliment. read more

I love this place! Everybody at the store is extremely friendly and helpful. Even if you don't have an appointment, they try to help you as much as they can. Omg I just said YES TO THE DRESS! Everyone here was great especially my stylist Rosy. They were prepared before I even got there and had my favorites already printed out. Thank you David's Bridal for everything. I look forward to my fitting appointment read more

DO NOT come to David's Bridal for your dress!! Although the employees were nice, the quality of my dress was HORRIBLE. I spent over a grand on my dress only to have it fall apart. The beading and crystals were LITERALLY falling off as soon as I took it out of the box when I received it. Not only that, my alterations lady (Not at David's Bridal) pointed out that the bottom of my dress was patched and appeared to have been made incorrectly. WTF?! As if that wasn't bad enough, the train was also made wrong so there was no way she could bustle it without it looking awkward. As a result, the train needed to be removed. UGH! Wait, there's more.. One of my bridesmaids was pregnant and David's Bridal told her to come back for her dress during a specific month. When she finally went back, the dress was discontinued so she had to get a completely different dress! Also, all of the bridesmaids shoes, purchased at David's Bridal had the jewels fall off! Are you kidding me?! Bottom line, DO NOT get ripped off like I did. Go anywhere else for your special dress and shoes. You'll surely regret it if you don't. read more

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. I was so excited to dress shop and Ali and Leslie were so nice they made my experience wonderful except for one thing, at the time of checkout I asked how the alterations worked and if it was already included in the price which she replied yes so the whole time ever since I bought and ordered my dress I was in the impression that alterations were part of the price (I did pay a lot for the dress) but when I went to pick it up today I was told alterations were a completely different payment and they said at the bottom of the receipt says that alterations aren't included. I don't blame Leslie at all for telling me yes she maybe heard me wrong so she answered yes to my question. When part of my ordered got delivered at the store, they called me and told me I had 14 days to pick it up which I couldn't pick it up and I called Friday and asked if I could pick it up Sunday (Friday was the 14th day since they called) and they said if I did not pick up that sam Friday they were going to ship it back because it's considered abandonment so I asked if it could be shipped to my house because I couldn't make it and they said no so I left work early that day. During the whole time that I received the call that I needed to pick up my order I was dealing with a family member being sick at the hospital so when I came home after picking it up I had found out that my family member had passed away while I went (I live an hour away from the store) When I went to pick up my dress today, they opened the bag and hung the dress so I could take a look at it, I asked if I could try it on and they said that I could not because they did not have any rooms. How am I going to pay $2000+ for a dress I can't try on before taking it home? They told me I needed to make an appointment but when I received the call to pick up my dress they told me I didn't have to make an appointment. While I was there I told them that I was told that alterations were included and they told me it wasn't and they told me at the bottom of the receipt says alterations are not included (While Leslie told me they were as I stated at the beginning) I was really excited when I went dress shopping and I was really hoping this experience would have been better since it is such a big company with a big name, I had really high hopes but I am really disappointed in the way everything went with buying my wedding dress. I paid a lot for this dress and I really would have hoped this experience was better than it was, as a bride to be this experience really stressed me out and was nothing like I hoped it would be. I really wish I went with another company to buy my wedding dress, I truly regret buying my dress there and it saddens me. I do very much love my dress, I do need alterations done to it but I'm already guessing it's going to cost an eye since my dress fits me longer than it should and the shoulders are too lose. They did also tell me that they would sow on a belt they tried on me while trying on the dress so I bought the belt but when I asked today they told me I would have to pay separately for them to be able to sow it on. Overall the customer service is not the best and I would not recommend going there if you do not handle stress good (like me) read more

Based on my experience today, I would never recommend David's Bridal to anyone for any occasion. Here are all the things that went wrong with my appointment for a bridesmaid dress: - I called the store this morning to schedule an afternoon appointment. There is a specific dress I needed to try on. I asked the person on the phone if they had it in my size. She said yes and that she would set it aside for my appointment. When I arrived later that day, I found out it had been sold. - I had to wait over ten minutes for my consultant after she was overhead paged twice. - I registered and entered all of my information when I checked in yet my consultant got multiple details wrong about my appointment. (Thought we were shopping for mother of the bride, wrong size, wrong month for wedding) - When I reluctantly agreed to purchase a dress, even though I did not have a chance to try on my actual size, the consultant quoted me full price for the dress. When I asked her about the $30 off promotion, she had no idea what I was talking about until I pointed to the huge sign in the window. I should've just purchased the dress online instead of wasting my time in this store... It was extremely frustrating and disappointing. read more

I came here for my bridesmaid dress and overall my experience here was fine. Nothing outstanding, but also not bad either. My consultant was a nice girl, but I'm mainly writing to compliment a gentleman who helped me when I first walked in. I hope I remember his name correctly, but I think it was John. This was probably the best customer service experience I've ever had. My consultant was busy when I arrived, so immediately John helped me find dresses in my size and style I needed. I am looking for a mid-calf length dress, so John helped me pin up the long dresses to see what they would look like once hemmed. After a while, my assigned consultant helped with the rest of my appointment. I went home to decide and two days later I called in the morning to place my order. John took my call before the store opened and then called me back as soon as the registers were up and running to place my order. My consultant got the commission for the sale, and she did a good job, but I wish they could have split the commission since John went above and beyond. I hope I am getting his name right and I hope the store manager reads this. I don't know if people are allowed to make requests, but if anyone is going to set up an appointment at David's Bridal, ask for John and you don't be disappointed. read more

The short of it: The bride spent $500+ on getting the dress just the way she wanted it and they screwed up 2 of the 3 alterations. They rushed her into and out of the dress so she didn't have a chance to see the problems and they wouldn't accommodate her schedule so she couldn't bring someone with her to help with assessing these problems. The long of it: I was a bridesmaid for a wedding, I went with the bride for her first appointment, and again when she went in to get it fitted. Apparently the woman assisting her could never remember facts. Every time she went in, she insisted that she'd changed her hair color, she hasn't changed it in five years, and it's neon pink. While that sounds arbitrary and unimportant, it just goes to the experience. She'd have to argue with this woman every time because she was insistent that she was right (you'd think the person who lives with their hair every day would know if it went from blue to pink and not argue about it). I say every time because this happened at least twice. The tailoring is where the real problems arose. She needed the sides taken in, and needed to add a bustle- kind of a standard wedding dress alterations. The pining took about 2 hours and everyone was super friendly. They charge extra if they have to go into the bra area of a dress, even if the type of dress it is doesn't have any difference between the waist and the breast, they literally have to extend the stitch 3 inches. While it is understandable that a fitted bra in a dress would be a world of different stitching, when it's not it shouldn't be an extra $20 for maybe 45 seconds of work. The bustle was $75 for three pins, and then $15 for each additional. This sounded totally reasonable because when we think of bustle is a three point one, but in actuality it was significantly more. They took each layer of the dress (8 or so) and did a three point bustle on each of them, and then rather than doing a traditional one on the most outer layer the seamstress opted to do a draw string bustle. So rather than three buttons that you'd loop the dress onto, she made 12 points on the outer layer. The bride was now exhausted from holding perfectly still for too long and didn't want to hang out longer to see what the three pin would look like instead (because it would mean taking out the 12 points, pinning the three, and then re-pinning the 12 if she liked it better another 45 minutes or so of standing) It seemed like they were trying gouge her for money, I get needing to do multiple layers of pinning, but it wouldn't harm the dress to double up some of them, saving an extra $150 would be nice. And why wouldn't you try the three point first and then say "Hey i have this other way that's more expensive but i think looks much better on this dress" Then if she likes it, you're done, and if she doesn't it's far less work to put the three point back in. However that's the pricing they use and you can go else where if you want to negotiate. The kicker was that you can only pick up your dress on Wednesdays and Fridays, and they don't open until 11am. This meant that the bride didn't have anyone to go with her, she herself had to take off from work. They rushed her through the final fitting and gave her little to no instruction on how to operate this non-typical bustle. This meant that come show time, no-one knew what to do with it. We were told during the fitting that their would be a ribbon underneath and all we would have to do is pull it and tie it together, but no such thing was there. So we ended up improvising and tied bits of the dress to itself and the line of the bustle looked about the same as when we went to the fitting so it was "going to have to do". However the dress was still dragging on the floor (at least 3 inches) so the point of the bustle (to pull the dress up during the reception) was totally defeated and she spent so much money on making this change. She also added a sweetheart to the front, which was crooked and not taken in enough to give the heart shape. read more
