Fraudulent location and manager. It was a horrible experience for my sister and family; when she took her dress to the alterations department, they promise things that later we found out there were not possible. They just say yes to everything just to get the money, since she paid double for the alteration she wanted then what the dress cost.\ They lied by saying that they could do what we ask for, then when the second fitting came and it was different, than what was agreed on. NO CALLS TO DICUSS THE CHANGES, and worse of all, they wanted and even pressure my family to accept them all the changes by belittling them. At any point this could have been fixed. They could have owned up to the mishandling and tried to find a solution. Instead, the store manager said there's nothing she can do and to call the customer service number on the site which my sister comes to find out is only from online orders. Pay for placement that cannot be fulfilled as purchased, being spoken to disrespectfully and trying to bully her into taking it as is then giving her misdirection for help is definition fraudulent. On top of all that having employees work when they are sick! Coughing in their hands and touching customers and the employee coughed on my sister's bareback when demonstrating to my mom the bustle. My mom has an autoimmune disorder. We were all scare she was going to get sick as this could have sent her to hospital a month and half before the wedding. My sister explained this over again and over again. No one listened to her and it seems this is the standard for David's Bridal employees and management. Deceit, unsanitary, and Disrepectful. Please do not use the alterations department of this store, you can find other places where they will treat you with the respect you deserve, tell you the truth of what can be done and a much better price. You can see in the photos the dress she bought and what they were trying to pressure to home as is.

The placement, cowl disfiguring, and I was told "this is what you asked for." This is the dress they wanted me to leave with.

THIS LOCATION PROMOTES AN ENVIRONMENT THAT IS UNSAFE FOR BRIDES AND CUSTOMERS. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at David's Bridal and how both the alterations and my concerns were handled. My experience involved alterations being changed without discussion or approval, what I felt was deceptive about what could be done to my dress and what I paid for, hostile and belittling treatment when I questioned the changes, and an employee coughing on/near customers and then touching them. - First alterations appointment: I spent approximately 2.5 hours with Jessica. My sleeves were pinned exactly where the original straps were. I also asked if the dress was loose due to weight loss if it could be taken it, and Jessica told me that the dress could be taken in. - Alterations were changed without discussing it with me: At my second appointment, the sleeves had been sewn approximately TWO inches farther inward from where Jessica originally pinned them. This changed the shape of the cowl neckline and was NOT what I agreed and PAID for. - Unsafe hygiene practices: Taylor repeatedly coughed directly into her hands, and then continued touching me and my dress. This was throughout the entire time she was helping me. She at one point coughed on my bareback when standing behind me. My mother was also present and has an autoimmune disorder, making this especially concerning. I attached a video. - Fit concerns were dismissed: When I asked about taking in the dress as previously discussed, I was told they could not do it and that it "looks good," despite the dress visibly tenting at my waist. Photos are attached. - Hostile and belittling communication: When I pointed out that the sleeve placement looking different and that it disfigures the cowl neck. I asked if it could be fixed, Irena spoke to me aggressively and dismissively: " No, no, no, no, no. This is what you asked for, right? You wanted sleeves. I can't do anything about it." I was begging for help, I asked about 4-5 times if they are sure nothing can be done until Irena said okay let me see and did slightest un-impactful pin so I would stop asking. - The store manager Leslie did nothing to properly resolve the situation: After alterations were changed without my approval, hostile communication, and the unhygiene/health safety concerns, I explained that I no longer felt physically or emotionally comfortable returning to this location. I requested reimbursement rather than allowing them to continue altering my wedding dress. - She passed the phone to the alterations manager whom told me the sleeves could not be sew where the straps are as they need to be aligned with the boning. *WHY WAS I allowed to pay alterations that cannot be fulfilled. That is deceitful business. The alterations retailed for over $2,000.* I paid less due to a coupon. Leslie told me she could only refund if cooperate send me an email. I called the customer service number online almost 10 times as I was told do. They sent me in circles. A few days ago I spoke with a customer service manager that told me that the phone number is typically only for online purchases. And that my case was already closed as the Regional Director and Store Manager Leslie felt they followed "policy." Mind you, I purchased alterations that cannot be fulfilled. They omitted my concerns and called it an alteration concern so they can close the case and help me. They move the sleeves slightly but cannot put them where I paid for them to be and They barely took in the waist because "they cannot do more" despite this being a fitted a silhouette. The store and regional management were made aware of these concerns and still refused to fully reimburse me. Brides deserve to feel safe, respected, listened to, and confident that the alterations they agreed to will not be changed without their knowledge. I did not receive that level of care here. I have been crying since and so upset I even can to this location.

I came in for my appointment not really knowing what to expect--I was honestly just hoping to get an idea for what kind of dress I might like. I had no idea what style I wanted and honestly wasn't expecting to find THE dress that day. Birdie, my stylist, was so kind and patient throughout the entire appointment. She guided me through trying on different styles, asked thoughtful questions about what I liked or didn't, and really helped me narrow down what felt right. She also gave us plenty of time to take photos, look at the dress from different angles (with and without the train), and really picture it. To my surprise, I ended up finding the PERFECT dress--one that I absolutely love and can't wait to wear on my special day!!! (I definitely teared up ) I'm so grateful for Birdie's help and really enjoyed the whole experience

SERVICE It feels transactional and not genuine. I was disappointed with the lady that helped us. First time Brides are nervous, let's face it, they're under a lot of pressure. SELECTION Obviously, David's Bridal sales associates should understand that these young brides are going to be looking at several bridal gown locations before they make their final pick. Who doesn't? Why aren't these sales associates 'trained' in showing compassion towards their potential customers by letting them know they understand that it is difficult to make choices and that despite their selection, it may still be challenging to find 'the right one', just like finding a mate. The sales lady gave us a few selections and after trying them on, our Bride casually pointed out that she still had an appointment with a privately owned bridal company. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her disgust and anger as if smoke and fire was coming out of her ears. She became so passive aggressive towards our Bride that I came up to her myself and told her "I hope you don't pick this business. She's a horrible representative for David's Bridal, she just left a bad taste in our mouth as a result of her poor customer service skills. She has zero skills." Here's what broke my heart. There was another family sitting next to us and their beautiful Bride was trying on several dresses too. I was listening in to the other Bride's conversation with her family and she said "Dad, David's Bridal CANNOT give me an estimate of the alterations I need for this dress UNTIL I PURCHASE the dress." What?!! Did I hear that correctly? She was tearing up behind her smile. Poor thing. So let me say it without sugar coating it. My question to David's Bridal is, you do know that Brides save up their hard earned money to have a memorable wedding. The value you can provide is important to them. When you don't train your sales reps and make their existence all about being TRANSACTIONAL and not authentic, you lose customers like us. And no, I would not recommend this business to any Brides who are rightfully conscious about how much money they need to spend on their gowns. Don't be fooled by the prices. Their prices look appealing but they're not once you add up all those surprise alteration fees they add to your final gown purchase.

What's the most important thing about a wedding dress shop? Is it the customer service? The quick turn around? How about the being able to actually get what you paid for? Amazingly, David's Bridal at Burbank is terrible at all 3. They've failed not once, not twice, not even three times but 4 separate times. First incident: my fiancé found the perfect dress and after doing the measurements and paying for alteration (ridiculous amount btw...$700) but when she finally came to pick ilnthe dress, what happened? They RIPPED THE DRESS on the front and then had the AUDACITY to say it was "a flaw in the fabric that came out after steaming." WHY WOULD YOU SELL A FLAWED DRESS IN THE FIRST PLACE? Also, no. There were original photos of the dress that had no "flaw in the fabric" Second incident: they said they would replace the dress (only after we kept refusing to take the ruined dress they tried to push on us) and make everything PERFECT. But they had to alter the dress 3 SIZES DOWN. We get a text saying the replacement is ready. So we drive all the way down to Burbank only to be told that the dress is not ready and we have to come again in a few weeks. Third incident:We wait another month and surprise, surprise, the dress doesn't look ANYTHING like the original as was made apparent by the shoddy alteration job. Guess what they do after again trying to push her to take the dress? They make more false promises to fix it and we just need to come back the day after. Fourth incident: we come back the day after and to no surprise the dress is still ruined. they try to push it on us and refuse to give a refund. The dress looked SO DIFFERENT from the original that the workers even tried to say MY FIANCÉ WAS SHOWING THEM A PICTURE OF A DIFFERENT DRESS. My fiancé also said the dress was too tight and they had the AUDACITY to say it wasn't tight and then tried to blame the way she's standing. 20 days before our wedding and my fiancé has to find a wedding dress. What a terrible experience. Time and time again DB failed to even do the basics of their job: provide a wedding dress. I'd give this place negative stars if I could. TLDR; don't go here. They: 1) ripped the first dress we paid for 2) made false promises on the replacement dress and completely ruined the replacement with the alterations 3) gaslit my fiancé saying her altered dress wasn't too tight and blamed her posture. Unacceptable.

My fiancé went shopping for her dress. She was able to find a dress that she could see her self getting married in. She also bought a veil which was around $200. When she purchased the veil and dress, she was never given the veil to take home. My fiance left the store that day thinking they would present the veil with the dress to see how they would look together. She goes back for the alterations and the final fit before she takes the dress home. She takes the dress home. And she realizes while driving from the store that she never got her veil. She speaks to somebody and they say "We'll send it out by overnight mail and you will receive it tomorrow". They never call back. The next day passes and no package. So she calls again and speaks to a new person. Kristen (The manager) says the same thing ultimately and says "well check with our inventory team, and we'll call back once we have shipped it". Again, Kristen does not call back. My fiance calls back again about 2 hours after the call. They say they won't ship it because their inventory shows that she received it!! She never received anything!! Their response was "oooo maybe a family member took it?? Or maybe it's somewhere in your car??". My fiance is crying at this point because Kristen is insinuating that she is either stupid and lost it or she's lying and she received it and is trying to get another for free. Kristen had the audacity to say "I can offer you a discount, should you choose to buy another". Why would I buy something that we already paid for !!!??? This place has literally ruined my brides best day of her life. I will never ever return to this place. And I will never recommend that anyone comes to this place. I am going to post this exact story to my social media to warn people because this is not okay and I am definitely going to report them to the better business bureau.

Shout out to Emilio & all the ladies that work here. I was on a tight schedule after a few complications before coming to David's Bridal. They worked with me and were so supportive and helped me find THE dress. Another Shout out the hard working ladies in alterations department as well, I got my dress right on time and it fit me perfectly. The alterations prices were steep so maybe find another place (don't be like me a do everything last minute!)

5 stars for the staff I worked with during my appointment (Nicole and a gentleman stylist), but the dress options just weren't it for me (thus the 4 stars). That's not to say they didn't have beautiful options, but David's was already at a disadvantage because I fell in love with another dress; I just didn't know how much I loved this other dress until I tried on some beautiful dresses here, that just didn't live up to how I felt in "the dress". When you know, you know, I guess. 1 hour Bridal appointments are made by calling in ahead of time to schedule. You are assigned a stylist, and sent to peruse a few styles on the floor. They had us take photos of the barcodes of dresses I wanted to try. (Tip: take a photo of the dress before the barcode, so you know which ones you want to prioritize). They bring some dresses over for you to try in some dressing rooms, with large mirrors just outside of the room. The stylists help you close up the back of the dress if needed, and help to arrange the train so you can get the full effect of each dress. They discuss with you the parts of the dress you like, and don't like so they can get you closer to finding the dress of your dreams. This location is a good place to check out for a more affordable dress. One of my favorite styles was one I don't know that I'd have ordinarily tried, and was suggested by my stylist - a beautiful, simple, trumpet style dress (pictured in the photo attached to this review).

Cecilia and Dom are really informed and go the extra mile at every opportunity they had , really made me feel sure on my decisions. I would recommend them to everyone !!! After my boyfriend became my fiance during a brief but poignant ritual of kneeling and presenting me with expensive jewelry, I found myself in need of a new dress. One of my favorite memories from my 2007 wedding planning experience is my day at David's Bridal. I'm a hippie at heart and pretty much on the outside also, so I'm not into the big girlie girl milestones of life. Buying my wedding dress needed to be an exception. I made an appointment and rounded up two of my biggest sentimental girlfriends. Everything was perfect. The dresses were affordable yet lovely. The salesgirl was professional, polite, and prepared. She gave me a catalogue and told me to pick out the dresses I wanted to try on. She advised me to pick a large variety, including dresses I thought I'd never like, because one never knows what one's dream dress is until she sees it on. The saleswoman then pulled all of these dresses off the rack and helped me try them on. Did she seem a little bored? Yeah. Anyone with an I.Q over 72 would be bored helping a stranger try on dresses. When I found my dream dress, it was perfectly obvious to all in the store. I'm not the kind of woman who dreamed about her wedding dress from earliest girlhood, but when I put it on for the first time, I felt amazing. It truly is an amazing cultural ritual and like some other reviewers, I poo-pooed it too until it happened to me. I have more respect for other people's experiences now. My dress was $300. The alterations cost $95 and I felt so ripped off by the latter. All she did was take up the hem about 1/2 inch (and my dress had no beading or lace or anything difficult or tricky) and she was terribly rude and almost mean. I had a little bit of overflow of back fat when I tried on a particular corset with the dress and the lady pinched it and in her broken English said, "No good. Too much fat here." I almost ran out without the dress I was so hurt. We're not all size 6, lady. For the money, David's Bridal is a great resource and I had a terrific experience. I will say that when I picked up my dress, some girls came in as walk ins and asked to try on dresses and the saleswoman (a different one than the lady who helped me) snipped at them and was very rude. I guess it's hit and miss. read more

I have to admit, I was really reluctant about David's Bridal, until my experience last weekend. I am quite surprised by the poor views this place got, because my experience was SO GOOD!! I HIGHLY suggest booking an appointment ahead of time, which was one of the reasons my experience was so good. My wedding consultant for the day, was Jasmin who was the sweetest and most knowledgeable person. She had to share my time with another bride --- which surprisingly she still managed to give each bride the attention we needed. Also, if you plan on bringing family/friends with you, make sure you book an appointment, this guarantees seats for your party, and just makes the whole day a lot smoother :) I was also very impressed with the selection of gowns, at the end of the day, it was a very difficult decision between a David's Bridal gown and another one I found at a different store. Bottom line, if you need a "cost effective" wedding gown definitely try David's Bridal first. read more

This is not the place to go for five (or even four) star service. I went with my Friend last week to choose her dress and the bridesmaids dresses (I'm her MOH). We were greeted up at the front desk and the salesgirl was with us within about 10 minutes. She seemed a bit distracted and kept going back and forth between us and another Bride she was helping. She didn't have 2 chairs for us to sit on, so I kneeled on the floor as we flipped through their catalog. Once my friend chose some dresses, we had to wait some more for her to finish with the other bride. She pulled the dresses quickly enough, but as soon as my friend was ready for help corseting and clipping, the salesgirl was MIA again. There was another associate helping another Bride, and my friend and I bothed wished we had her, because she seemed genuine and attentive. I felt bad for my friend, because I know it wasn't the best experience for her. Ultimately, my friend did buy her dress here and we also picked a bridesmaid dress. Hopefully the order process will go smoothly and run on time. read more

My star rating is 4 stars for May Garcia, the awesome consultant I worked with and 3 stars for David's Bridal in Burbank. May was incredibly patient, kind and handled my large family with ease. She was not pretentious or fake, so I felt very comfortable with her. I went to DB with my girls to just try things on and pick bridesmaid dresses. We had an appointment and ended up waiting 15 minutes. Not that big a deal, but just know that there may be some waiting around while they finish up with other appointments. That said, brides (and her bridal party) need to remember that DB is not an upscale salon, so for more economically priced dress options, you are sacrificing ambiance and that personal attention that can only come with a more intimate bridal salon. The prices can't be beat and they do have a pretty wide selection for ALL body types. If you're looking for a simple dress, DB is a good stop. The White by Vera Wang collection is lovely and the price can't be beat. read more

I was getting a little depressed trying on dresses... I went to a boutique and explained that I wanted something bohemian... Instead, they put me in fitted dresses or box type dresses that made me feel like a line backer due to their limited selection and, ultimately, not really understanding what I wanted. David's Bridal was our last stop. I was impressed by the size of the store, but discouraged by the dresses I saw on the rack in bags. I thought I was going to experience the same thing all over again. We met Deborah Kibbey for our appointment. She was very warm from the get go and made me feel comfortable. She asked me what style I liked and to my surprise, came back 3-minutes later with a dress, and then another, and then another! Every dress was great! I felt feminine and like myself. Victorian, Romantic, Bohemian, ... They were perfect. She got me. I never thought I'd be one of those people who'd cry in a wedding dress, but looking at my mom and mother-in-law's face when I came out was all it took. I felt pretty. We struggled to decide on 'the dress,' because we had such a great selection in front of us! It was amazing and exactly what I needed to feel like a bride. Thank you, Deborah, for being so great at what you do! You are a gem. I would recommend David's Bridal, but above all - I would recommend Deborah for her thorough knowledge of the dresses in stock, honest and tactful opinion, and caring persona. read more

This was by far the most horrifying experience for me as an individual and bride to be, visiting the Burbank David's Bridal location. I had a scheduled appointment to try on wedding gowns, having filled out the quiz paperwork prior to my arrival. When meeting with my bridal stylist, who arrived late, she knew nothing about what I was looking for even after I told her I had specifically filled out your company's questionnaire online. Only to have to repeat myself, I specified my gown preferences once again. She led me to a fitting room to where I waited for her to bring three ball gowns and a suit that I had requested as well for my rehearsal dinner. After struggling endlessly by myself in the dressing room to put on said gowns, I asked if I might have a chair to assist me while putting on my shoes. She rudely stated that there wouldn't be enough space in the dressing room with it, but upon my insistence, begrudgingly added one. With every dress I continued to struggle with, she offered no assistance and disappeared every time, only to waltz back slowly when I emerged. Her attitude was cold and indifferent and not at all what I'd hoped for during my first attempt of wedding gown shopping. It almost left me in tears, but I maintained my composure, thanked her for her time and went to the register to complete my purchases. I'd also brought an unworn wedding dress (tags attached and in plastic) with me to return that I had purchased online prior to COVID-19. I hadn't returned it online because I'd already previously made the mistake of ordering a bunch of things with from their company only to be stuck with a return shipping cost of $80. I wasn't about to pay again for shipping returns when I could bring it into their store for a return (or at least what I'd hoped would be a credit). Unfortunately for me, once again I was completely shocked and dumbfounded when their customer service person told me they only honor a 14 day return policy! Quite honestly, I'm disgusted by their employees attitudes and their companies ethics and what I feel is absolute thievery at it's worst. I made it very clear to both employees and management when I left that I would NEVER be returning or purchasing anything from their company again. Additionally, I told them in a complaint online that I will be encouraging every single person I know personally and on social media to follow suit. read more

This is my second time being here and it's always an ABSOLUTE great experience. Rachel our bridal stylist had such great energy and knew exactly what we were looking for we absolutely fell in love with her. Melissa also had a beach wedding and gave us such a warming experience making us look forward to the grand event! My next time coming will be my own wedding dress and I'm def looking forward to seeing these ladies again. read more

I only went to this place because I was asked to be a bride's maid in my cousin's wedding. Full disclosure - I was not excited about the process to begin with because I'm not a girly-girl and had successfully avoided the whole wedding hoopla when I got married. With that being said, this store certainly did nothing to change my opinion about the racket that is the traditional wedding industry. I've been to this place three times now, and every time they were understaffed. The staff that they do have is pretty incompetent, with the exception of one woman who I dealt with the last time I visited. One of the other saleswomen was clearly illiterate, as she could not keep straight my bra size and couldn't spell the month "April" or correctly enter my last name into the computer after me spelling it out letter by letter *three* times. My biggest frustration is that they don't ever mention that because the dresses in the store are tried on so much, they fit much larger than the actual dress that's ordered for you. So when I got my dress, I discovered it was too small and now despite losing 10 pounds, I can still barely breathe with it on. When I mentioned the fit problem to a salesperson, she informed me that of course my dress would fit smaller than the one I tried on. It would have been nice if they had told me that in advance - I would have ordered one size up! Also be aware that everything in this store is nonrefundable because it's considered "special occasion" attire, even the bras and non-dyeable shoes that they keep in stock (and are not special order). So make sure you don't have any doubts about what you're buying because they will not even allow you to make an exchange. read more

On time and Efficient Reasonable prices Great customer service I made a reservation online. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately and was introduced to Art, who was excellent. She is very knowledgable and knew exactly what alterations I needed and did not need. There was no pressure I felt very comfortable and well taken care of by Art :) Thank you so much read more

Our experience at David's bridal last night started a little sour. It began by the greeting girl who try to discourage (too bad I didn't get her name) my sister from trying any dresses only because it was 8pm and they closed at 9pm. We all know they wanted to leave home on time, so not professional!! But my sister insisted to try on dresses so they took her in, lucky for them my sister was an easy bride to deal with. Ashley Kaye the sales representative (5stars for her) who helped my sister was very nice, helpful and professional. She answered all of our questions and was very patient. My sister fell in love with the 2nd dress she tried on and decided to purchase that one dress. Well weren't they happy they took my sister after all, closing their store with an extra $1,400 sale. Word of advice to this store, customer comes first!! They are the ones that pay your salary at the end of the day. Over all our experience turn out very good and my sister was extremely happy with her bridal gown. read more

I was a very lucky bride and found my dress immediately. What was disappointing for me was that in the decision of the dress, an alterations person came out and gave me a quote on how much it would cost, as I was almost over budget. I decided to get the dress because I loved it and with alterations it was only slightly over my budget. However, upon actually getting the alterations, they gave me a price that was more than triple what I was initially told. Then, after the wedding I didn't know how to preserve my dress (as they never told me), so my husband was sweet enough to take it to David's Bridal for me. However, upon arriving the girl at front was nothing but rude and snotty to him, acting like we were supposed to know what to do with the dress after getting married. Overall, great dress selection, but the customer service is lacking. read more

Went in to this location with my sister to help her find a bridesmaid dress and Elizabeth A. helped us right away. We walked in on a busy Saturday without an appointment, but she led us to a changing room and brought over some options quickly. Dom is the girl to see...I had an appointment to go in with my daughter. The wedding is 2 months away and with Covid I pushed it off. I knew what I wanted but my daughter Maid of honor didn't exactly know (I'm mother off the bride not a formal wedding) Dom asked a few questions got us a few dresses to try on so we can see what we liked and if the style we chose looked good on us. This is where Dom worked her magic. I'm a plus size Women (22) so I thought cover everything but she advised me to try on a strap dress that made me feel good and looked fabulous unlike the ones with the lace sleeves that didn't fit My arms. I went to David's Bridal in Burbank this past weekend with all of my bridesmaids to look for their dresses. Our consultant was ANTHONY, and let me tell you....I couldn't have asked for a better consultant!!! HE WAS FANTASTIC!! He told us that we would all be leaving with dresses when he met us, and HE WAS RIGHT! He was super helpful, efficient and quick! As a first time bride I was very overwhelmed but he helped put me at ease and guided me through the process without making me feel pressured at all! He took all of my preferences into account when pulling dresses and I ended up with the perfect one! Not only was he great at his job (dress suggestions, helping accessorize, etc.) but he had a wonderful personality and made the experience so much fun! I would recommend anyone going there to try and request Anthony as their consultant, he is awesome! read more

Ok so I went dress shopping about 3 weeks ago here and it was great!! The review is really for the consultant Stephanie....she was amazing!! She picked out multiple styles for my to try on so that I could figure out what I wanted. After I picked a style I liked she brought over several dress that I really liked and eventually she picked my wedding dress!! The appointment was fun and fast and I can't wait to pick up my dress! And go back to find my bridesmaid dresses there!! The only reason I left out one star is because they were supposed to call the next day so they could order my veil...and never did....and when I called they they never answered...so I still need to order my veil. read more

Went in to David's Bridal in Burbank yesterday planning to just try on styles to see what would look good on me, and ended up walking out with my dress in hand! My appointment was with Sarah Ann, and she was just lovely. I had a lot of anxiety going in to the appointment, because I HATE when sales people make you feel pressured...but Sarah Ann didn't do that. She worked with my incredibly low budget and didn't even flinch when I said I didn't want to spend more than $250 on my dress. I wavered back and forth between two dresses for a really long time, and she was patient, helpful, and understanding the entire time. I'm so thrilled that I chose to go here for my wedding dress, and would recommend it to any bride looking for an overall great dress shopping experience! read more

I got my wedding dress over there. The quote of alteration they gave me was way cheaper than what I actually paid. But it's too late for that. I spent almost $1000 for alteration, but the issue is....it doesn't fit 100%. I asked the lady when I picked up the dress if I need to alter it again, she said "no, it fits perfectly!" It turns out that she just wanted to go home and didn't want to deal with me. On my wedding date, my dress just kept falling, and I have to keep pulling it up....I don't know why I spent so much on this service. Stay away for alteration service! Update on 11/19/2016 Both regional manager and the store manager contacted me for the follow up after the review. They tried their best to fix the issue. It is unfortunate that we have to deal with the issue after the wedding instead of finding the problem beforehand. I would really hope that the issue will not happen to any other future bride no more. I added more stars because they take the responsibility. Update on 12/16/2016 I would totally leave the 3 starts for them but I just got all my wedding photos from my photographer. Not single picture of my dress looked the way it supposed to be. It's very sad. Even tho they refunded partial of my alteration payment, my wedding day and wedding photos will never get a chance to be fixed. Sorry DB, you really ruin my dress. read more

David's Bridal was my first (and only!) stop for wedding dress shopping. My fiancé and I decided to have our wedding fairly last minute as far as wedding planning is concerned- I had my appointment with DB a little more than 3 months before my wedding date, which turned out to be perfect, because I was informed that DB requires ~90 days for alterations. I made my appt online which was very convenient and easy. I showed up for my appt and everything from there was a breeze. The woman who helped me find dresses and try them on was Kristina - she was extremely helpful and really listened to my opinions on each dress I tried on. She clearly understood my vision and found several dresses that were exactly what I had been looking for. After trying on 4-5 dresses, I found my perfect dress, hand picked by Kristina herself. She even found the perfect accessories to add on (veil, beaded belt) which I loved. While checking out, I made my alterations appointment a few weeks out. From the minute I walked in, I encountered nothing but genuinely kind and helpful people. Overall, it was a great experience finding my wedding dress, made even better by Kristina; she was so helpful, friendly, and an amazing listener. Loved my experience! My bridal consultant Eden was amazing! She was kind and patient and worked on getting me the perfect dress for my wedding day. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and walked in with the intention of only browsing through and getting a better idea of dress styles. Luckily, I was able to try on dresses. After giving Eden some of my feedback on dress styles and my comfort level she chose some amazing dresses keeping in mind my budget level. Upon trying on 3 dresses that i likes but didn't love, she brought another dress at a drastically lower price point than the rest, but it was the dress that i fell in love with, she truly was interested in making sure I felt beautiful and confident. Upon adding some final accessories such as a foundation and a veil, I was ready to go. Loved the fact they have so many options and are truly there to help you feel you best. I came to David's Bridal for both bridesmaids and wedding dress appointments. Rosie was very patient with us as I was uncertain of a certain color for the bridesmaids and although we ran out of time, one of my bridesmaids did purchase and the color was picked! Cameron was my stylist for the wedding dress. I had a few ideas in mind, but it wasn't as beachy as I wanted. Just WOW. David's Bridal went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make this whole wedding dress experience as painless as possible for an overwhelmed, anxiety ridden control freak like myself. Let me just tell you, this has been a journey and so many ladies at David's Bridal AMAZED me with their kindness and understanding in order to meet my needs. I never even leave Yelp reviews but trust me, this one is well warranted. About 2 months ago I had my first appointment with Sarah Ann who I HIGHLY RECOMMEND, especially if you want to feel like a princess ;) I felt so lucky to have been paired with her because she really is "The Jedi of Wedding Dresses"! She takes the time to get to know you and really understand your vision so she can help you find "The One." I was expecting the wedding dress experience to be boring and tedious, but Sarah Ann made it so fun I felt like I was at Disneyland! Definitely not what I expected, but in the best way possible. I even brought all 7 of my bridesmaids back to meet her, and she helped us pick out the perfect bridesmaid dress! Beyond even the dress experience itself, she genuinely knows exactly what to say to make you feel beautiful both inside and out and gives the BEST advice :) Unfortunately, although I bought the first dress I tried on, I ended up not going with it, and this is where the customer service at David's Bridal REALLY shines. It's funny what can change in a couple months, but so much happened in my life since I got that first dress. I originally craved a princessy ball gown, but months later after losing 20lbs and gaining some confidence, I realized that I didn't need to hide my body under a poofy dress anymore. Plus the fact that I'm having a destination wedding made me feel like maybe I made too impulsive a decision going with a ball gown for a BEACH WEDDING in Hawaii. I absolutely LOVED the dress (Oleg Cassini dresses really DO make you feel like a princess) but eventually realized it didn't really fit for the type of wedding I'm having, and ultimately it would cause me stress and discomfort. I obsessed about this for weeks, searching for new dresses online, wondering if exchanging it would even be possible but not wanting to be a brat about it. The anxiety ended up being too much, and I started to create scenarios in my head about how much of a hassle it would be to even TRY and exchange it at DB, but seeing my future self hating all my wedding photos made me cave and bring in the dress. Thankfully these thoughts were unfounded as everyone totally understood the situation. I came in to speak with Maritza, and she was so patient and friendly and booked a new appointment (once again with Sarah Ann) right away. She really put me at ease that it happens a lot with brides and that everything would be okay :) Today I came in for my 2nd appointment to see if I really did want to exchange the dress and had a great conversation with Cassie, the girl at the front counter while waiting for Sarah Ann. She asked why I wanted to exchange the dress and gave me great advice, even helping me gather my flustered thoughts before my actual appointment. I was unnecessarily worried that, because I wanted to just do an exchange and not spend any additional money that the service wouldn't be as great as my initial appointment, BUT I WAS SO WRONG. Sarah Ann was ESPECIALLY amazing, even giving me a much needed pep talk about self confidence and how the feeling you have in the dress is more important than what it actually looks like. She could tell I was overwhelmed and gave me a huge hug and assured me that everything would be fine. She even gave me her opinion on what she thought would even hold a candle to my first dress and she ended up being right! Then she went the extra mile to suggest a cute dress she thought would go well with my body type and style to make up for the leftover money on my exchange. Dress Jedi indeed :) Sunshine, the store owner/manager, was also super helpful with the exchange experience! She was there every step of the way to make sure it all went smoothly, and even helped me pick out shoes! :) It was great talking to both her and Sarah Ann as they constantly put my mind at ease and made the whole process super quick and easy. Not at all awkward like I had dreaded! It was very much the opposite of that :) I don't understand negative reviews I hear about David's Bridal...but don't listen to them! This Burbank location is super amazing and I highly recommend it for your special day! Every employee I've interacted with here has been professional and friendly. They're all pros who truly get the craziness of being a bride and genuinely want to make sure you leave happy :) read more

I loved my experience at David's. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment and they allowed me to browse around and take pictures of the ones I was interested. At my appointment time I was greeted by Delmy. She was supportive and helpful in giving me the full effect with every dress! My mother in law and mom also felt very welcomed and part of the experience. Once I chose my dress, the did the tradition of ringing the bell because I said yes to the dress! Delmy was so kind and you can tell she likes her job. I loved every minute of my experience! read more

Nightmare experience. They somehow got our appointment wrong and also apparently don't know how to dress different body types. She also said my friend's wedding wasn't a real wedding because she wasn't wearing white and she couldn't possibly know if we could get dresses in time for the wedding. Also they rushed us out before closing. All in all bewildering and awful. read more

He was patient and supportive at every step, through mama's laser measurements- which are amazing and they email them to you if requested. Then he began the work, we tried 4 great recommendations but alas none fit, all too tight around the ankle. But Dan wasn't done, he looked at the measurements and put in an order for a men's size in extra wide trusting it would fit- and if they didn't we could exchange within 30days. Four days later, my mom put on her first pair of shoes that fit in over a year. Im in tears of thanksgiving. To see her walking in a new pair of hokas, with proper balance and arch support. She's so excited and we are forever grateful. Also, they didn't try to sell me the most expensive pair, they had an awesome shoe that was less than what I expected! Today was the day, I got to pick up my wedding dress. I was directed to the alterations department to pick up my dress. I am NOT cool with the worker named Hilary which I believe she is right below rank of the store manager. This girl was so darn rude hanging up on me in previous matters so I'm already up to par not wanting any association with this girl. The dress I bought comes with a belt and extra buttons. I didn't find that on my dress so I asked them to give it to me. The alteration lady calls on Hilary and this girl checks the same dress that i bought right in front of me and walks away. Few moments later, the alterations lady comes back and tells me that they no longer have the dress I bought. I check the same dress that the girl Hilary checked and told the alterations lady this is the same dress I am buying. I check the dress myself and the pricetag comes with a belt/extra buttons and the alterations girl who was right next to her while checking it too acts as if they she didn't see it. SMH And she says "Oh, we do have the dress!" At this point, I look at her with WTF look and tell her just give me the belt/button I paid for that comes with the dress I purchased. At the point, I am boiling because I just saw it with my own eyes them checking the dress and they come back LYING. Not only did the dress i bought had a missing button to start with but they weren't going to give me the belt that comes with the dress. SMH This store won't last with workers like Hilary. To those who are going to shop here, please ALWAYS make sure you have everything triple checked! #tragedy #loatheliars I will NEVER recommend anyone to buy their bridal dress here ever! I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this location due to the customer service provided by the woman at the front desk. Ten minutes before my scheduled appointment, while I was already in the parking lot, I received a call informing me that I would not be able to try on dresses because the store was fully booked. When I asked why I had not been informed earlier and why their appointment system allowed me to book a time despite being fully booked, she explained that the system wasn't accurate. Despite this, I explained that I had driven an hour in the rain to get there and requested to try on a few dresses, even without a stylist. She responded in a rude and condescending manner, stating that no stylist would be available for me. Nonetheless, I proceeded to the store, only to find that the front desk attendant was still unwelcoming and unhelpful. The store was nearly empty, with only one other customer present, and I was eventually assisted by another staff member. However, the interaction with the front desk attendant left a very negative impression. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and disrespectful attitude was highly disappointing, especially for a store that should prioritize a welcoming and positive experience for its customers. In the end, it was hard for me to bring myself to even consider buying a dress from this store because of how poorly I was treated. I chose not to make a purchase because I felt they did not deserve my business after such a negative experience. read more

Omg! The staff at David's Bridal on Thursday helped me and my friend out in the most priceless way ever. We went in looking for a specific bridesmaid dress in white, which is a special ordered dress. They did not have them in store. Stephanie Carrillo the store manager went above and beyond calling around and seeing if there other locations could get them for us. Here is the real kicker... the wedding is on the 30th of December. Although, she did let us know that there is a possibility that the dresses could be cancelled if they are not 100 percent perfect. Aimee and Brianna teamed up as well to check all locations to get it expedited for us. Waived the shipping fee etc. When I tell you these ladies work as a team and made 2 woman walk out of their store with big smiles on their faces..... yea I was so thankful and impressed that those ladies showed me what customer service is suppose to be like and look like. I highly recommend this location and specifically those 3 woman. We will most likely be receiving our dresses days early before the wedding. Whooo hoooo! I had a very bad experience with David's bridal . Jo who got my measurements didn't do her job. When i picked up my gown like one week before my wedding, my gown was messed up! It won't zipped, and it wasn't helmed at all. They killed my excitement . I asked why and what happened to my wedding gown, they said they can't give me an answer they can only give me a resolution. What the heck ! I told them to at least return half of my alter coz Twas their fault, alteration alone was $636, but they had no remorse and told me that it was final. So they want me to pick up my gown like two days before my wedding and even paid for the steam and all, it smells not steamed at all and it smells dirty:( So I had to buy another gown quickly like one day before my wedding from other store, so two days before my wedding, my husband picked up my wedding gown and I NEVER went inside, i was so stressed that day, that's why I asked my cousin who happens to be a lawyer on what to do. I will never go back to that place EVER again . But I'm not done with them yet! I even got sick coz I was having an anxiety coz they messed up my gown! So I have to start off by saying that I finally made it to David's Bridal tonight after a very long day of work and class. To tell you the truth the last thing I wanted to do was try on bridesmaids dresses. When I got there, everyone was so nice! I didn't have an appointment but it wasn't a problem! I especially have to thank Jordan!!! Jordan you made finding what I needed so easy and you were so accommodating to my budget and time limit. My bride told me yesterday what I needed to get for her wedding that is in April of this year. I was worried that it was too late. I also had to go shopping by myself which is never fun. Jordan made it feel like I was shopping with friends and was so kind to hold my phone while we FaceTime my sister. Jordan even went as far as to get a phone charger for me so my phone wouldn't die while I was FaceTiming my sister! In addition to all this I only had to try on six dresses because Jordan listened to what I needed and found a good fit for my body type. If you are shopping at this davids bridal definitely ask for Jordan! Best experience my sister and I have ever had at a bridal store (and she has been in like 10 weddings)!! I had my very first bridal appointment today, and I truly couldn't have asked for a better experience, thanks to Birdie, who was an absolute gem! I went in feeling nervous and unsure of what to expect, but Birdie immediately put me at ease. She was warm, kind, and genuinely fun to work with. Before we got started, she took the time to ask thoughtful questions and review my inspiration photos, and then, like magic, she pulled 5-6 dresses that were exactly my size, style, and vision. I didn't even have to lift a finger! She was so efficient, intuitive, and really knew her stuff. The entire experience felt relaxed, supportive, and joyful. Birdie not only made me feel special but also took such great care of my family. She answered every question, went above and beyond to accommodate us, and truly made it a memorable experience. Let me first start by saying that Kelley is great. Understanding, funny and super helpful and patient. She's really the only reason this place is getting that stars that it is. Also, the prices are okay... With that said, let me just say that I did find shopping for dresses here kind if irritating and slightly embarrassing due to their lack of size options. I am a little over weight, but by no means obese at all. Out of all the dresses I liked there was only two that actually fit. Most of the selections are for girls that are about a size 3. It really doesn't make you feel great when prepping for your special day when pretty much nothing fits so you have no idea what the dress actually looks like on you and really it kind of hurts your feelings. I did get a dress, and I thought I liked it. But after getting it home I realized I really don't like it at all, I just liked it out if the very small selection of what was available for people that aren't super models to fit in. Brides worst nightmare came true! My dress was damaged beyond repair a day before my wedding at the final fitting! Im not sure whether it is a fault of alterations of not putting a belt properly, or just the quality of the dress, but i was one unhappy bride. I had to choose another dress, which was not the kind i wanted at all. I was not even surprised when I saw beads missing, right after i put on the dress for the wedding. The whole wedding i had to drag the dress, so no one would step on it. They have attached the hooks so it can be adjusted, but the hooks broke (what a surprise). They gave me a discount of 20% on a new dress, but i was charged for alterations (thats nice). The dress I am planning to contact the corporate, so we will see how they handle. But so far I am one unhappy customer. They have ruined my night, and my wedding (the dress part). I Was suppose to go for a night out before the wedding, and instead I spent it crying at their store. I got married 12/1/2020 and started planning only 1 month before and I could not of done it any FASTER anywhere else. I was matched with Brooke! I kinda had an idea of what i needed, not too much or too little, Brooke helped me with 3 gorgeous gowns, I choose one and Brooke added a beautiful belt that would be sewn on, altered to my size, and came together with the perfect veil, I said yes to the dress!! Thank you so much! Next to Alterations with Amara fitting me into the dress, how I am going to look and feel in the dress for 8 hours! she was clear, informative, made me feel so comfortable especially fitting within a week of the wedding and I was soo nervous! The best customer service experience I have ever received. Was beyond my expectations. I had a little dilemma with my wedding dress i purchased in 2019 in Oxnard. To make a long story short I was told from the Oxnard location I wasn't able to exchange my dress anymore. So I called the burbank location and spoke to Claudia which she was amazing very helpful and I spoke to Brooke as well which she definitely made it all happen for me. They were able to help me. I drove to burbank so they can size me correctly and let me tell you the experience I had once I arrived Cristina and Delmy were just beyond helpful with me. I was finally able to get my dream dress. I was amazed at how well we clicked and she knew exactly what i was looking for in my girls. Then she found a wedding gown that I completely fell in love with!!! keep in mind i just went for my bridesmaids... well Ana was super busy, running around with other brides, but yet she was always there for me, all my questions were answered, and all of my 12 girls and I were given the best of the best service ever!!! I recently took my bridal party to davids bridal and we were helped by Christina. I must say she was so helpful and extremely patient and kind to all of us. I had 3 girls there to try on dresses plus our flower girl. Christina was so fast at pulling dresses after she did all the measurements. She kept a smile during the entire process and kept things calm. After finding out we couldn't get a certain dress in the color I wanted, I picked another color which tied on so well. In the end I was so happy to have the 2 colors together. Christina let us know if we had any questions that we could call and ask for her at anytime. She was such a pleasure to work with during such a short time. I just wanted to say thank you so much for helping us and for making our appointment so special. Try out the dress and buy it online. The dresses in the store are dirty and nasty. You can tell so many people have tried it on because it reeks of perfume, and make-up stains. Buy it online and get your alterations done for the dress elsewhere too. Online prices are cheaper and better deal plus they offer free shipping. Save yourself the trouble and just buy it online. They want to order it for you so that they can charge you alterations. Unnecessary, alterations is a rip off. All the empolyee's in this store should all be fired. I didn't have one pleasant experience. No wonder stores are diminishing nowadays and people opt out for internet sales. Now I see why.. Terrible customer service! Internet sales, FTW! Having had two horrible prior experiences at another David's bridal we were hesitant to go and search for a dress for an upcoming wedding. A phone call to the Burbank location and a subsiquent trip there changed my mind. We were greeted by Sunshine and Megan and immediately made to feel like our time mattered. They listened to what we said, were fast efficient and eager to help. Àbove everything else they were friendly and pleasant, making the experience so much better than the ones in the past. I felt overwhelmed with my bridal party & mother picking out a bunch of dresses to try on but, Carly turned it around. I felt like she had my back the entire time! I had a very disappointing experience with the alterations department at David's Bridal. After being charged $250 for alterations, I came back on the scheduled day to try on and pick up my dress. My measurements had changed slightly by an inch, and it was immediately clear that the dress was too loose in the back and abdominal area. Despite being told to come early in case any adjustments were needed, the employee did not offer to fix the issue or provide any alternative solutions. They simply dismissed the concern, leaving me feeling frustrated and unsupported. For the high price they charge, I expected better customer service and attention to detail. REVIEW FROM THE BRIDE: Incredible experience because of CAMERON & SUNSHINE. I showed up 30 minutes late and they didnt seem at all annoyed and worked so much to keep us happy. Cameron was so much fun, he even spoke some Armenian to us and was just so attentive and full of life. Sunshine was supportive and beautiful for the way she took care of us. The appointment seemed to get better and better. Dress was picked and put on lawaway in under an hour. We left happy and hugging. Thank you Cameron and Sunshine. So much. I went a few months ago to David's Bridal and felt pretty meh about the whole experience and the dresses I tried, so I put off the whole process on the back burner. But I went a few weeks ago, called before hand to make an appointment, and when I showed up got placed with Eden to help me. She was super supportive and after trying on a few and going to order any of dresses I liked, turns out I had waited so long my special order color wasn't going to arrive in time. Eden was super non-judgmental which I appreciated and let me sort through a limited selection that would arrive by the wedding and gave me her opinions of the online-only options based on the in-store try-ons. My mother and I attended this bridal trunk show at The Phoenician in Scottsdale Arizona, expecting…read morethe elegant, high-end experience we had been promised. We were told it would take place in a grand ballroom at a resort we know well and frequently visit for golf. Instead, there was no one to greet us, no visible signage, and even the hotel staff had no idea what trunk show we were referring to. After searching for the correct location, we arrived and waited until more than ten minutes past our scheduled appointment before our point of contact, Adam, finally appeared and said they needed additional time because they were still with another bride. When we were eventually brought inside, the so-called "bridal suite" was a basic conference room filled with dresses. There was only one inexpensive-looking full-length mirror, along with an unstable, worn navy pedestal that did not feel safe or appropriate for trying on luxury wedding gowns. The changing area was a cramped, storage-like room with no mirror and barely enough space for the large dresses or the assistant helping me. It made the fitting unnecessarily awkward and uncomfortable. The gowns were never properly fitted or clamped to my body. At one point, Adam simply held a dress against me while asking what I thought. Even worse, he repeatedly stood directly in front of the only mirror, preventing me from seeing myself in the gowns I was supposedly there to consider purchasing. His attitude was dismissive and insulting throughout the appointment. While looking at me with his hand over his mouth, he said, "I'm not getting anything from you." When I explained that I simply wanted to try on a wedding dress and feel beautiful, he responded, "You're not going to try on a dress and feel tingly." Isn't that exactly why many brides attend a trunk show--to experience the excitement of possibly finding their wedding dress? He also told me that I might need to try on 100 dresses and suggested that perhaps I "wasn't a designer bride." That comment was especially condescending. My mother and I have spent my entire life around high-end interior design, textiles, and luxury materials. We understand quality, and the gowns we were shown did not look or feel consistent with the luxury image being sold. Several appeared worn, poorly maintained, and improperly presented. Adam's overall presentation was also noticeably disheveled and not what I would expect from someone representing a high-end bridal designer. Because bridal fittings require close physical interaction, the noticeable odor of his breath made an already uncomfortable experience even more unpleasant. We arrived excited and genuinely interested in seeing these gowns. We left feeling insulted, uncomfortable, and desperate to get out of the room. My mother sensed almost immediately that something was wrong, and she was correct. What was advertised as a luxury bridal trunk show at The Phoenician became a disorganized and deeply disappointing experience. A bridal appointment should make a woman feel comfortable, celebrated, and beautiful--especially when a company is presenting itself as a luxury designer. This experience accomplished the exact opposite. I would never recommend this designer, these gowns, or an appointment with Adam to another bride.

Parking / how we heard about this spot: West Hollywood with metered street parking after driving around side streets. This spot came up in our budget and of interest because of their off the rack model which we liked, browsing many different styles at once really appealed to us and the smaller size shop also felt less overwhelming. THE VISIT Saturday was walk in only and we arrived a couple minutes after opening and a separate party was already browsing. We were greeted warmly by Amanda who gave us the layout of the shop including cuts / styles, the 1k and under rack, and also some racks with plus size options. We were given some tips on picking sizes then clips to indicate which dresses we wanted to try and were left to browse with no pressure. Then the fun part - back to the mirror trying on area which has space for two brides, one area on each side for changing in and out of dresses and some seats for friends or family. There's a little pedestal the brides shared when trialing which is nice and the mirrors are handy. Amanda helped my sister in and out of her dress, clipped, spread the dress, suggested veils, and had helpful feedback for us to consider when thinking about alterations. There's also a selection of veils that she helped put on and recommend too! She was so patient and made my sister feel really comfortable for her first time dress shopping, she was very knowledgeable on the catalog they currently carry and was honest about what looked good or bad without pushing to sell anything. A bonus was that Amanda was really sweet how excited she was with us too! Really felt like a nice experience and kept us feeling excited for the upcoming wedding. At checkout, we got recommendations for alterations and also a handy list to use when contacting them of what needs to be done for the dress.
