Horrible horrible customer service. I went into the store know that I wanted something very simple like a destination dress for my small outdoor wedding. The consultants I dealt with on both occasions pushed bulky, heavy, lace dresses that were much more than I was willing to spend insisting these suited me better. Neither of them focused on what me or my family was asking for and instead tried to not to subtly bump their commission by being pushy and rude. Also when I called to try and make an appointment for my second look the receptionist insisted there were zero opening for the next three days and hung up on me! Talking a chance I walked in on the Sunday and found the place empty. I would advise any bride to stay away from this location and if you find a dress you like on the website, order it online so you do not have to deal with the rude, inexperienced "consultants." read more

I found the staff here to be really friendly, helpful and accommodating, even with how busy the store was. The lady helping us was super nice, and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find something I would like. She was accommodating when I could not decide between 2 dresses and put up with me trying them on back and forth multiple times. I did not get the same treatment that others on this site talked about where my consultant was trying to get me to buy a dress 1-2 sizes too big so that they could made more off alterations. in fact she gave me the choice of what size I wanted to order based on my measurements (I fell in between 2 dress sizes). I never felt pressured or pushed in any way. It was a lovely experience and the dresses won't break your budget! read more

I booked two back to back appointments...one for myself to try on bridal gowns and one for my two bridesmaids to try on dresses. My experience was excellent. I had Dawnaleen as my bridal gown consultant and she was fabulous. She truly listened to what I wanted and was not pushy at all. If I could give a worse rating then I would! Went in for my appointment at noon and didn't actually get into a fitting room till 1:15. The girl who was supposed to be helping me wouldn't pull any of the dresses I asked for, her response being the sizes were too big ( as far as I know that s what the clips are for). My sister finally spoke with an associate who was helping another gal and she pulled some of the dresses I was interested in. I ended up going with an "off the rack" that had to be paid for and then shipped in from the Mississauga store with the assurances that it would be in pristine condition as they look them over carefully (apparently) before shipment. Well my dress came in and I can tell you there is nothing pristine about it. it looks like it had been worn by another, the bottom has those little balls that some fabrics make when the are dragged and some of the lace on it was pulled. You'd think they would let me return it as it hadn't even left the store right? If you think that, you're wrong - they told me it was mine and to read the back of the receipt (which I actually didn't receive until the day I picked up the dress as the transaction was done at the store down east) No Returns! read more

David's Bridal is a good store if you need a dress quickly and want to buy off the rack at great prices. I didn't have time to have it ordered in from another bridal store, so I went here after looking online at their options. I'd make an appointment as it can be a busy store, if you have an appointment you won't have to wait for a room and will have help at least looking for a dress. Please take note that the way this store works is that head office sends them dresses based upon their sales and the bestsellers so they may not have the selection you want if you found it online. Also, some dresses are online sale only, so when you're looking at their website make sure you can find it at the store. Also, because you can buy off the rack there, if you go back to try it on later, someone else could have bought it and it might not be there. I had looked online at all their dresses and picked out the ones I wanted to try on. The sales associate took my list and looked them up on the website to see which one it was and if they carried it. Some they did, some they didn't, some they did have but not in my size....but honestly they can't be faulted for that because that can happen at any bridal store. I didn't like the fact that that's how they looked it up, because my associate was on holidays and had just gotten back the day before, so how was she supposed to know what they did or didn't have. It woulda been nice if they had some sorta inventory tracker to prove whether or not the dress was actually there instead of relying on her memory. She even said that she thought one of the dresses was in the store, but she couldn't find it, so it must have gotten sold. She didn't look further into it, to see if it was hanging around somewhere else. Out of the 10 or so dresses I wrote down 7 of them they had in the store, 4 of them they had in my size. I found the prices to be decent and in my price range and my sales associate was nice enough, but a little inexperienced it seemed. Overall, I found my dress here, I love it, it was in my price range and I'm glad that I don't have to do any alterations with it. I agree with Bethany about losing information. I had gone there one weekend by myself to just check it out. I had sign the form and given them a list of dresses that I wanted to try on. They were kinda busy and I was walk in and I said I'd come back the following weekend with a friend, but to please keep my list and info. Well when I came back the following weekend, the list was misplaced and never entered on my sheet. So those dresses I never got to try on, luckily I had brought another list with me and they had some of those available. read more

This place was terrible. After being greeted my an exceptionally rude woman all of the women in our group were asked their sizes in the middle of the store (totally unprofessional and uncomfortable for many). As we were trying on the lacklustre dresses, we saw the assistant manager walk up to a woman, ask her if this was "the dress". When she said yes, they brought a bell on a pillow for her to ring, then they hugged it out. Ridiculous. Will not be returning, unless I want to see people blindly ringing the bell of the wedding industrial complex. read more

I have had two encounters with David's Bridal over the last month... 1. The first was when I went to find my wedding dress. The day I had my appointment on, ended up being one of the bridal shows in Edmonton, so they were short staffed, as many of the consultants were at the show. The store was VERY busy, HOWEVER, our consultant Maddy did an excellent job juggling the 3 brides she had to work with while I was there. Maddy always had a smile on her face, and was there to help when I needed, offering advice and suggestions on what I may like better then what I currently was in. I found my dress this day, and was VERY pleased with the experience. 2. My second experience is the reason for this store scoring so low. This week I went to the store with my 4 bridesmaids to find a dress for them. I made an appointment for the evening, and was quite pleased to see how empty the store was!!! But that is where my joy ended. Before coming I had written done a few styles I wanted the girls to try. I gave the list to our consultant who in turn said, ok, you can go to the rack and grab all the sizes of the dresses you need. WHAT?! So chaotically we managed to find which dresses I had picked, and the appropriate sizes. After she should us to the girl's fittting rooms, Kaitlyn (the consultant) dissapeared! We did not see her again for over a half hour, and our appointment was only supposed to be 45 minutes long! I was getting very frustrated as we were not finding any dresses to suit the girls, and had no help in finding anything else. I was constantly up, taking anything of the rack that remotely may have worked, and still did not see our consultant anywhere. I finally flagged down one of the other girls and told her we desperately needed help!!!! Kaitlyn re-appeared but did very little to offer assistance, and I finally was too upset and overwhelmed from the girls having to try on so many styles, and not having any help that we just left. I did find one in the end that may work, but at this point I am not ready to make that decision. It was a very dissapointing and upsetting experience. read more

They cant keep their promise that the dress will be altered in time, after I complained,the store manager literally said" if you think our service is bad, why do you still want the alteration done here?!" My experience at this store was not one I would like to remember. I bought my dress from a Davids bridal in the united states and brought it to this store for my alterations. On top of having to wait 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment, the lady doing them was not very polite at all.. She had to leave the room because she said my dress " stunk" and she couldn't breath. Then she came back and sprayed the room with air freshener. She made me feel very uncomfortable and I was an inconvenience to her day. She also walked to the back and told every girl back there that my dress smelled very bad, which made me feel even worse! She couldn't understand my direction on what I wanted done to my dress! I was ready to take my dress off and walk out. She even had the nerve to call one of my bridesmaids chubby! So. David's Bridal. I had heard... 'Things' about this place before I had to shop here. My sister had chosen this place as it was the only one in Edmonton who carried the colours in her wedding. The first time we went we began perusing the racks for bridesmaid's dresses. The selection was poor; most sizes were out of stock. The styles of dresses leave much to be desired. They carry dresses which are very fashionable and look great on mannequins. If you want a dress with straps? Good luck. Most bridesmaid's dresses are strapless or one-shoulder or a design which makes it impossible to wear a bra, which is not an option for me. I figured such a large chain would perhaps carry a few classic dress styles or a wider range for different body types. Nope! The service was greatly lacking as well. Both times we went to try on dresses our assistant was no where to be found. We had to pick different styles and colours ourselves. What is the point of booking an appointment when you do all the work? When the sales people were around, they were pushy and a little rude. The dresses were over priced and poorly made. I will never shop here again if I have the choice. read more

However, afterwards, I had a moment of doubt and a full out anxiety attack about whether my dress would be suitable for the function I was attending. I called the store back to discuss my options and ended up speaking to Patul about it. She was so friendly, and accomodatting. She helped me book an appt to come back in to try it on, discussed what she would wear, possible color options and how she would dress for this. All of this was over the phone. I purchased my wedding dress, personally paid for all 4 of my bridesmaid dress', and also bought a bridesmaid dress for a friends wedding, within the past several months here at Davids Bridal. Its coming down to the lats 4 weeks before our wedding on April 27, in Mexico. I was the excited bride, eagerly going to try on wedding dress' a little over a year ago. Killing time one day between appointments, I decided to stop at David Bridal, Donnalynn was helping me that day. I fell in love with a beautiful beaded pearl fit- and- flare dress,It was perfect and it fit like a glove. I even rang the bell and made that special wish. I did not pay for the dress that day, i wanted to sleep on it. A couple days later Donnalynn called to say that the dress was pulled, due to being discontinued, and asked if I still wanted the dress. Of course I did(I thought, wow what great customer service, to call me so i didn't lose out on my dream dress). So the next day I drove 1.25 hours to get to Davids Bridal to pick up my dress. I got to the store saw Donnalynn(beaming with excitement) and said Hi! do you remember me? Her response was "yeah, could I help you" not in the happiest of ways. I was a little thrown back by that, but i was so happy that I was getting my dress. So i purchased my dress signed a receipt because it was a final sale. Fast forward to November 2015, I pick up my dress from my inlaws, excited to try it on. I hadn't seen it for months. Uh oh, it was a little snug, I had put on some extra weight(15lbs) over the past few months. So my friend was going to DB to pick out bridesmaid dresses for her wedding. After we finished with her appointment, I asked the consultant if I could try on a similar dress that had a corset back instead of the zippered back( there were only my friend, her sister and I in the store) I was hoping this could be an easy solution for my extra weight. The consultant looked at me and said we're too busy right now, you will need to book an appointment to try on a dress!!! I looked at her and said no body else is in the store, why do I need to book and appointment. She did find one dress for me, but definitely didn't want to help me. The corset back didn't make a difference. Fast forward to February 6, 2016. I dropped about 7 lbs but still wasn't enough to fit properly in my dress. Today is the day I take my dress to alterations at DB. I get there put on my dress and tell the older lady that it felt tight and uncomfortable. Right away she starts to let out the dress. So she starts pinning the dress, also doing the hem and bustle. Once done, the did up the tally sheet and the total for the alterations was $435. I had paid for it and started my 1.25 hour drive home. While driving I started thinking about the cost, and not knowing much about cost of alterations, I still thought this price was high. So I decided to call other seamstresses to get quotes(i sent pictures of the dress to all) the quotes were anywhere between 100-$250 cheaper then DB. So I called back, to talk to alterations at DB. Told her my situation (work is really really slow right now for me) I needed to keep costs down! So I told her to let the dress out, but do not touch the hem or bustle, that I would have it done elsewhere. Her response was well i'm not going to do it any cheaper and GOOD LUCK FINDING SOMEONE TO DO IT CHEAPER. I was very shocked at how rude this lady was to me. So I pick up my dress on March 4, 2016 and It still doesn't fit properly. But the girl in alterations(different from when I dropped it off) looked and said OH you don't even need a hem just wear a 4 inch heel. I thought to myself, wow the other lady wanted to charge me $176 to do the hem. So, I had to go to DB last week to try on a bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding. As you probably assume I wasn't looking forward to going there, after having all of these bad experiences at this store. My consultant was LYNN H. WOW was this experience so much different then all the rest. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. Also told you exactly how you looked good or bad. This service was FABULOUS!!! It actually lifted weight off of my shoulders. So I wanted to let her know on how well she did and how she was above and beyond better, then my previous experiences. I started telling her about my dress and she asked "did you not find another dress? Confused, I said what do you mean? She said if you didn't have alterations done you could have exchanged it for another dress, in your size. This is the first time I heard of this(not for lack of opportunities) Lynn tried talking to the manager, she will not do anything to help me because I signed the sale receipt for final sale. They DID NOT mention anything about dress exchange before alterations when signing. Lynn thank you for your help, YOU were a pleasure to deal with. Davids Bridal, good prices. I was unsure about driving 5 hours and going to such a large store and potentially dealing with pushy sales people, but my experience was really quite enjoyable and I left within 2 hours with my dress! They had a huge selection and a significant number of consultants so even though we didn't have an appointment (and on a Saturday no less) within 20-30 min, I had a consultant and was on the road to finding my dress. I was on a very short timeline (2 months) to find a dress which meant off the rack and hopefully no alterations. A very daunting task! I worked with Lynn Hartford as my Consultant and she was wonderful. From the start she made it clear that she would only work within my very small budget and not even show me dresses that were outside of that range. She also made me feel very comfortable about rejecting dresses that I didn't like while still encouraging me to have an open mind. She even had super helpful tips about dress/fabric types and how they would get heavy or ruined if they got wet or would be sweltering because the material doesn't breathe (outdoor summer wedding) or how your back might get sore walking in certain styles. She even took the time to teach me how to sit with a train - seems like a stupid thing, but nobody wants a sore bum because they fell off their chair. Now when I go to sit in my beautiful dress, I will think of Lynn :) When we found the dress, what really made it special is the interest of other consultants in the store who made an effort to come and see how I looked. Some stayed for a while and genuinely thought I had found the dress for me. Even though I knew it was my dress (I did get teary when I first saw it on) despite it being the furthest thing from what I envisioned for my dress, seeing the consultant's reaction (and they've seen a lot of girls in a lot of dresses) made it feel even more special. And for those cynics out there who think that there reaction was only because they sold me an expensive dress - it wasn't. The dress was on clearance and more than 50% and they still loved it on me the moment they saw it. Not only that, it fits perfectly and just needs a bustle. I am not a person who likes shopping and I have to say they made my experience enjoyable. Walking in I was a little overwhelmed as there was so many dresses to choose from. I did not have an appointment but they fit me in anyways. My consultant was amazing, Cellene V., and seemed to know what I was looking for even though I couldn't put it into words. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. She ensured to only select dresses that were within my budget, which was very low, and didn't try to slip me a dress that I might like that I couldn't afford. I would recommend this place to look for a wedding gown and I would recommend Cellene as a consultant. Thank you for making my shopping experience enjoyable! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Terrible experience! Went in in January to get bridesmaids dresses. Pick out one we liked, everyone got sized. We were told we do not need to pay any deposit or pay in full until the dresses come in, and they would be in in March.(we asked TWICE to make sure) I called on March 22 and was told the dresses were not ordered. My wedding is June 10th. I was then told that the dresses need to be payed for before they are ordered. The girls called in the same day and I was told the dresses were ordered. One person told me they would be in by May 31st, and another person I had been emailing from Davids assured me that the sizes were in stock at the warehouse and would be in in a week or less... it has now been 2 weeks, no dresses and now I'm being told another week. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Spend your money at a place where they actually care about their customers! No type of compensation was offered. I was told we would have to pay for rush alterations if it came down to it, while none of this was my fault. read more

I just visited this location on today's date to support my friend who is a soon-to-be bride. The saleswoman (a short woman with medium length reddish hair) who "helped" us should be given some sort of remedial training in how to treat a customer. Frankly, I believe even new trainees at McDonalds treat customers in a friendlier manner. From the moment we walked in, we were told we needed to find the dresses ourselves and she could not find any of the dresses we had previously liked on the online catalogue. When we selected dresses to try on, we had to go through the store looking for her. After we found her, we asked for an alternate dressing room than the one she had selected (which had been right in the middle of a large bridal party and offered no seating for us). The saleswoman rolled her eyes when we made this request. Asking her to find other dresses in a suitable style was also met with disdain. She offered nothing helpful - since we were the ones finding dresses, Davids Bridal should have been paying us instead of this employee. We phoned to complain and, after waiting on hold for 10 minutes, spoke to a manager who identified herself as Melinda. Melinda seemed angry and upset that we complained although she tersely thanked us for our phone call. Appalling customer service mixed with cheaply made gowns makes Davids Bridal a poor choice for brides in Edmonton. I hope they learn a lesson from other American stores that have come to this country and found themselves bankrupt due to poor stock and service. read more

I booked my appointment for Friday at 11 am i got there about 15 minutes early they told us to wait. We waited till 11 the girl named Manisha came and got us. she asked what i like and all that i told her she got me 3 dresses then went on helping someone else when i was done with the 3 dresses my maid of honor had to go and keep finding dresses for me to try on because Manisha was to busy helping someone else and not bothering with us at all came over maybe twice to ask how wew were doing. HORRIBLE service and i wouldnt recommend anyone to go there!!! and i didnt know after an hour was up youd be kicked out??? She came over to me and said this will be the last dress you try on i have two other clients waiting! So i guess i wasnt considered a client since she did nothing at all for me but give me horrible service. So obviously i didnt find my dress and wouldnt have bought anything even if i did find something i like! and all the dresses i tried on we either dirty or ripped. i ended up going to Career girl downtown and wow what a great place best service ever helped me try the dresses on gave me honest opinons and found my dress there, and im so happy with the dress and service at career girl! read more

My experience at this store was horrible. I showed up for my 3:30 appt on time and my consultant met me at 3:45 after being paged 3 times. She briefly asked me what styles I was interested in then left me for another 10 minutes outside my dressing room. When she finally came back, every dress she pulled was either too big (and wasn't clipped properly) so it was impossible to see what it would actually look like. Or the sizes were too small and wouldn't even go past my hips. And she would still expect me to come out and "take a look". After every dress I tried on, she would disappear. While in the 3rd dress, she disappeared and came back saying she had another client in a rush and told me i should hold off on trying more dresses so i don't "get confused". At this point I was finished with this place. I decided to end the appointment. This was an awful first experience for trying on dresses. I did not feel like a bride and it was sad to see other customers trying on countless dresses with their consultants help the entire time. Even if I found a dress I liked, I would never buy from this place. read more

The front staff customer service was rude, chewing gum loudly and very unhelpful. i confirmed my appointment online and not only could they not find the appointment but they didn't have my wedding dress done for pick up, they had written the dates down wrong. it was supposed to be done for April 4 but they had written it down for April 5th a day they weren't open. I drove all the way from Saskatchewan to come to this bridal shop and was leaving that day. they couldn't get the dress done in time and Miranda the lady who came to "help" us was very snotty while we did the final test fit without any of the repairs or alterations having been done and said that they were unable to hold the dress for any more time after the repairs and cleaning were done. Miranda made me feel bad about a mistake her staff made and was done right aggressive and nasty about helping rectify the situation. she wanted to do nothing to solve the problem. so i had to have my parents drive back into Edmonton to pick up the dress after they had completed the work that was supposed to be done on April 4th. After purchasing my dress, my veil, the accessories and spending $$$ for my wedding day. The only staff member i can say anything nice about was Jamie our stylist who helped me try on and pick the dress. not only was she funny and helpful, she was the reason i bought the dress there in the first place. I was able to look past the horrible front counter girls, who spent their time ignoring the customers and rolling their eyes to have this great service by the stylist. I will never shop there ever again and i will make sure i tell anyone who asked what a terrible place to shop it is. i can't believe what a terrible and stressful experience i had a Davids Bridal. I'm so happy to be getting married but saying "yes to the dress" wasn't anything like what i thought it should be. If planning a wedding isn't enough the pressure of having to deal with this bridal shop has been exhausting. What a mar on my wedding journey. read more

I had a great experience with DB, thanks to my wedding consultant Erin! I had been discouraged by other bridal stores in Edmonton who had told me my budget was 'unreasonable.' The gowns that I did try on were wrong for my body and I had to pick them off the rack myself. I'm not a wedding consultant, I don't know what a dress on a hanger looks like on a person. When I got to DB my wedding consultant was amazing! She gave me the full princess treatment. She asked all the right questions about my destination, budget, previous dress buying experience, dates and preferred styles. She was extremly attentive, making the most of my hour long appointment. She expertly pulled several amazing dresses, within my budget and exactly the style I had requested. She provided helpful input and read my body language when I wasn't into a gown and picked other gowns that 'married' the parts of each gown I liked. She even paired veils to my top two choices that were budget conscious and that suited the line of my gowns (something I wouldn't have considered). It was due to her keen sense of style that I fell in love with THE dress and couldn't stop thinking about it until I bought it...the next day. After my appointment, she even took extra time to explain my options for bridesmaids gowns! Because of her amazing customer service I have purchased my wedding gown through DB and will be going back for bridesmaid dresses. She was like another bridesmaid, accommodating, taking photos for my bridesmaids that couldn't attend due to geography. She provided helpful and honest feedback and opinion. I would highly recommend DB and when you go, ask for Erin! She made my experience! Thank you! read more

Definitely a disappointing experience for my daughter and myself. We had made an appointment to try on dresses for my daughter's upcoming graduation. After being left to browse the store ourselves for 15 minutes of our one hour allotted appointment time, we were approached by our consultant who told us that we could try on dresses, but unfortunately we were to be "sandwiched" (her words) between 2 bridal parties in the fitting rooms. Our consultant then measured my daughter and encouraged us to look around some more to select dresses. After we had selected 6 dresses to try (we were told that we had a 6-7 limit for our booked time), we proceeded to the fitting room. Our consultant reminded my girlfriend and myself that she had " a bridal party coming soon" so that there was not enough room for us to sit once the other bridal party arrived! My daughter absolutely fell in love with one dress and we were told that it could be ordered in any of the David's bridal colours that we wanted. After explaining that we would like to order the dress in black (the store sample was mercury gray), the consultant sent her trainee (who was assisting with the appointment) to find out what the time frame would be from ordering to arrival. The trainee returned to tell us that it would be 14 weeks' time to order and receive the dress. We agreed upon this and proceeded to the till with the sample dress. The cashier had trouble with the one register that she was on and was unable to process the transaction as our "occasion had not been entered by the staff" upon our arrival and registration for our appointment. Once our cashier had been helped by another associate to rectify this problem, we moved to another till to complete the transaction. The cashier began to enter the information into the computer and all of a sudden she said "oh" and excused herself for a few minutes, explaining that she "had to check something". She returned with our associate who looked at the computer and told us that "unfortunately this dress is not longer available" at the warehouse or to order online. We were absolutely flabbergasted!!! After a few lame attempts to placate us, including offering to order a dress in a size up and have it altered - only to then look at the computer screen and then tell us that it was not available in black - we decided to leave the store. The associate did apologize to us, but did not seem overly concerned that we had just been given false information which lead to great expectations of having found a grad dress and then great disappointment once we found out that this was false information. We left the store with my daughter in tears due to her disappointment and myself and my girlfriend absolutely infuriated that we had been treated this way. We got the feeling that the consultant's next bridal appointment (who had arrived as we were finishing) was much more important to her and that she did not have the time to make her error "right" for us. All in all a lousy experience for both myself and my daughter. Not a good experience at all. read more

I had just intended to go into David's Bridal to look at some Bridesmaids dresses/colors. I had heard good things about their Bridesmaid dress selections, but not as great reviews about wedding dresses. I decided since I was there anyways to take a look through their Wedding gown selection and the clearance racks since I wasn't 100% certain on the dress I wanted. I ended up finding 2 that I really loved. I had my baby with me (and no one else since I was just intending on browsing) but the girl helping me out was so helpful and kind (and even offered to hold my little one while I tried on the dress). I came back later on in the evening and had another totally great and helpful girl help us out, and found one more dress that I really liked as well. It got quite busy around 630 with lots of groups browsing and trying things on, so I'd recommend going mid-day or very early evening, but I had a great experience there! I'm not entirely sure if I am going with the dress from David's, or one I had found earlier in the week, but either way it was a great experience and I'd recommend checking it out. read more

Alright, I don't personally like to write bad reviews but something has to be said about this store. First off my mom flew in from out of town to help me find my wedding dress, as I've heard David's bridal has quite the collection of dresses for good prices I thought this would be a good place to start. As soon as you walk in to this store you feel like you are at the Walmart for wedding dresses, it feels like a messy chaotic box store. The store itself looks like it has tons of dresses but they then proceed to tell you that 90% of the dresses they have are all just the same dresses but different sizes, so really the selection you have to choose from is TINY. You then go to pick some of the dresses you want to try on and they take you to the dressing rooms which are completely crammed, you have to constantly walk in front of people to even get anywhere. The lady I had helping me was completely useless. Though she was talkative and nice In that way she did not care about what I wanted when it came to the dresses at all. I had told her that i for sure wanted a sweetheart neckline and every dress she pulled out for me did not have a sweetheart neckline, they either had a straight across neckline or even a neck that went right up with sleeves. I am not opposed to trying on different styles but she just didn't care about how I felt in the dresses at all. When she put me in a dress that was too big she didn't clip me up so I could see how the dress could look if was the right size. A couple of the dresses were even suppose to come with sashes but were missing them and she didn't go and find something that she could use in place of it so I really had no idea how these dresses were even suppose to look. Everything was so rushed and disappointing. I left there feeling super upset and irritated that this store and this particular lady could make what is suppose to be such a magical experience and turn it into such a horrible experience. Anyways, though smaller stores may have dresses that are a tad more expensive I suggest completely avoiding David's bridal and going anywhere else to truly get the amazing experience of wedding dress shopping. I did find my dress somewhere else and had the amazing magical experience that dress shopping should be, so please ladies don't settle for this box store you deserve much better! read more

aMade an appointment on Monday, went in on Tuesday. I previously went to a local bridal store and fell in love with a dress that was way out of my budget, i was so saddened because the lady wasn't a help at all, wasn't attentive and kept on giving me dresses specifically way out of my budget. Went in to Davids Bridal in Edmonton Alberta and saw the huge selection of dresses!! My "stylist" was Dawnaleen, and she asked me all the questions to get a better understanding of what i wanted and tried so hard to find the same or close to the dress i fell in love with the day before. The last dress she found was the one. It felt awesome, it was under budget, she was so great to help me and knowledgable. I would go to Davids Bridal for any other special occasion dress any time! Their prices are great! One thing i wasn't to happy about was that on the site it said they had a crazy good sale on ($300-$800 down to $99) and when i went in, Dawnaleen said that it was only on the website orders. The website should be more specific. But the store was fantastic! read more

If I could I would give David's Bridal zero stars. We went there with no expectations looking for bridesmaids dresses and showed up early for our appointment (which I had booked weeks in advance and drove 3 hours with my bridesmaids and mom) and was told that my consultant "hasn't shown up to work yet" and we were left to wander for half an hour in a crowded, disorganized, noisy store. When we finally went to FIND our consultant she spent less than 30 seconds asking me about what I wanted and didn't even look at my bridesmaids or my mother who was planning to pay the bill. I pulled three dresses which she took and made no other mention about additional dresses I/we would like. She led two of my bridesmaids through SOMEONE ELSES appointment and left the rest of us behind to find them. She tried to make all my bridesmaids change in the same room at the same time but we ended up getting two rooms for the three girls. After 10 minutes she told us to hurry up because she had another appointment (and I had booked an entire hour!). We asked her if there were any other dresses and she told us flatly that we "only picked the three". We were left to cinch and zip the girls waists ourselves because she wouldn't help us. We had a fourth bridesmaid who she didn't ask about. She was extremely rude and didn't even say goodbye to us on departure. I'd just like to add that we were 100% prepared to purchase four dresses right then as there were ones that I liked but I was not willing to give that business a dime of our money. read more
