This is my 2nd visit here looking for a wedding dress! Amanda was the one who helped me. She was very understanding and got to know what I wanted, wasn't pushy and understood my budget and didn't push things on me I couldn't afford. She even found a dress that was in my budget and new. She took the time to understand my needs and was so helpful. Going to come back to look at bridesmaids dresses and will for sure make an appointment with Amanda. She is the best!!! Also be sure to make an appointment because then you will get the one on one attention a bride deserves!!! They were more than helpful when I got my dress but not helpful after that at all. So the David's bridal website says walk ins are always welcome but that is not the case. The told me they don't take in walk ins and you have to have an appointment I just drove 40 minutes for nothing. Don't waste your time and make an appointment. read more

Came in with my sister in law and family to find her a wedding dress. Sarah helped us find the perfect gown that ticked all her boxes. She explained all the different ways it could be altered to add sleeves and change the neckline, and we walked out with a dress off the rack, right on budget! My daughter and I came in last night to get a wedding, she found one but it was 2 size big and then we were told a prize how the changes on the dress we're coast. So they brought the dress. We come in today to get the dress fitted and have them makes the changes done to the dress. Naciezhda was rude to the both of us , she made us fill like we had no choice. She even over charged my daughter for the changes the cost was more then we would told. They need better people who will listen to their the customer and make us fell like we couldn't say anything. read more

My daughter and I went in just to look and get ideas, because we hadn't made a dress appointment. She gets married in a year and wanted to get this ball rolling.... we had been in there 20 min or so when the door/reception person found is to ask if we wanted to try on dresses, a gal had been called in early and didn't have an appt until 12:30. Andreea was this fantastic beautiful gal that was a godsend. You could tell in her bright smile and sincerely helpful attitude that she was going to be fantastic. In the end, by girl found 'the one' without thinking she would and not expecting it. Andreea was wonderful in every sense of the word, and was a joy to be around. I would recommend any bride to be to go to the David's Bridal in Clackamas and ask for Andreea to help them find 'the one'. It was a fantastic experience all around!! read more

My Sister had an appointment for myself and her friend to find bridesmaid dresses. I was thinking this would be handled in a classy way, with someone helping us pick out dresses, grab sizes and generally be available. Nope! It was the biggest shitshow I've ever seen. Complete chaos, tons of girls crowding the fitting rooms, the other bridesmaid and I were forced to share a tiny dressing room. Someone should have been at least monitoring the area because we couldn't open the door to get out of the dressing room or even get in to change. We were left to go looking through dresses with no direction. Don't schedule 100 people at the same time! Horrible time management. I'll never go back. read more

I went and got my dress here and had a LOVELY experience. It was a little awkward being on the same platform as the other brides but there was plenty of room so it wasn't too awkward. The alterations experience was very impersonal. There was three brides shoved into a 10 foot space with no dividers. There was no privacy AT ALL. Like you can't even put a curtain or two up to make the experience more personal? My seamstress was not at all informative about what I needed to do. In fact I had to go back and ask to see what the corset lacing would look like as she didn't tell me at all. She was also very snappy and short. What a pleasant surprise this was! My sister, mom, and I just left this place with a dress for my sister. This was our first time trying on dresses for her, and we were fully in the "oh this is just to get a feel for ~what's out there~" but then Jordan worked some magic and pulled out the most perfect dress for her. And it was on sale! The dress is so soft and looks amazing on her, so we left with it. Jordan was so kind, clearly loves her work, and her general vibe was just delightful!! I had such a wonderful experience  at David's Bridal this weekend.  I brought my grandmother, mother and daughter with me to pick out a wedding dress. Four generations! Madison matched our positive energy! 3 weeks ago Sisi was absolutely AMAZING. She took fantastic care of our group! She made me feel comfortable, she took an genuine interest in what mattered to me and what I was looking for in a wedding dress. I thought that what I wanted couldn't be found for my body type, but she knew just what to do to show me that I could look beautiful in the dress of my dreams. If you really want to go to Davids Bridal ONLY buy in the store DO NOT purchase anything online. Especially if you want to exchange something. You can't return in store and you have to pay shipping to return the item, wait 2 weeks for them to decide to refund you and then repurchase the item, likely at a higher price if you got it on sale. It's 2019 how are you not able to do returns in store? read more

All I can say is wow. I was very up front in saying I was only in the "beginning" stages of looking at gowns and they paired me with Felicia. She treated me and my grandma with SO much patience and kindness I felt like it was already my special day. She helped me try each on, answered all my questions, humored my grandma's requests and kept within my price range the entire time while still bringing up dresses of her own that she thought I might like. She was really attentive and candid. I can't imagine working with anyone else. As far as the store goes, at first glance I thought I wouldn't be able to find things but that quickly changed. I think anyone that starts the process of wedding dress shopping would agree that it can be overwhelming. I had been to a few different bridal stores filled with pushy or insincere sales people, that was until I got to David's bridal. Nicte-Ha helped me and she could not have made the experience any easier or more enjoyable. She listened to everything I wanted in a dress and every single one I tried on was exactly what I wanted (even though "the" dress stood out amongst them all). If you find yourself a little lost, a little anxious or just want to have an amazing experience I would only ever recommend Nicte-Ha. I will happily drive all the way from Vancouver to see her any time I need something bridal related. She is a gem, David's is lucky to have her. read more

Andreea helped me in finding the perfect wedding dress a few months ago, and I'm glad I had her there. I told her what I wanted and she was able to help me pick out a lot of dresses in my price range that actually looked good on me. I appreciated that she wasn't pushy and only made minor suggestions, and listened to what I wanted instead of my family that came along and tried to sway me in other choices. I'd never done anything like that and felt really dumb and didn't know what to do, and she was very nice and put me at ease. Getting married in 3 months and knowing that I have a nice dress that I feel good in that I'm also not gonna go bankrupt for is comforting. Would recommend this location to others! read more

I ended up buying my wedding dress here, due to the extremely low price for such a pretty dress(Marked from $600 to $150. How could I say no?), but I wouldn't really recommend the place. There wasn't as much selection as I thought there would be, but I found my wedding dress there, so I can't complain about the selection too much. Except that I DID look through the bridesmaid/prom dresses and there REALLY isn't much to choose from. I did not get my BM dresses there, because I didn't want to pay THAT much for a plain looking satin dress. What I was most unhappy with was the service. I am not originally from Portland, so I was dress shopping alone, since my bridal party lives too far away. I made an appointment with David's Bridal(it was on a Saturday) and went in. First of all, when I walked in, the girl at the reception area ignored me, and helped the person who came in after me first, even though I was standing right there, which was weird. Then when the attendant that was helping me, got me into the fitting room, she went to go help someone else, and left me there to fend for myself. Every time I have gone wedding dress shopping with someone else, the attendant helped the bride-to-be get into the dresses, so I thought that was normal. Anyway, I got the dress on and went out to stand in front of the CROWDED mirror(men and women all around which is uncomfortable when you're all alone with no one you KNOW looking at you, up on that pedestal). The attendant came back and helped me take the second dress into the dressing room. I got that on, went out to the public pedestal, and didn't like it as much as the first one. That's when I decided that wedding dress shopping sucks and I would probably never find a dress as pretty as the first one I tried for such a great price, so I bought the first wedding dress I ever tried on(ever). Then I had to go back, on a later date, to buy my bridal underwear(couldn't find the right kind, elsewhere) and got left in the dressing room again to try to hook up a corset with about 20 hooks up the back, ALONE. I tried and tried and finally gave up and had to walk out, half dressed to flag down an employee to help me. Luckily the (annoyingly public) dressing area was only full of women, this time. So, to sum up, David's Bridal has pretty good prices, if you want to save money, but you'd better bring someone along to be there for YOU, because the employees of the store won't. Not until you're ready to pay, that is. I just think that they could have been a little more helpful and tried to make the experience even a LITTLE bit fun. Also, can we get a PRIVATE mirror, or something? I did NOT like parading around in front of strangers when I was feeling all awkward, in the first place. read more

Picking out my wedding dress was very fun and the stylist was trying to be helpful but towards the end of the appointment she left to help another bride and I was left to get out of dresses and try on others by myself which was a little challenging. The manager then came over, listened to exactly what I wanted and brought over the perfect dress. My main concern was the cleanliness. The floor was stained and covered in debris. A dress I was trying on had makeup stains all over the inside. The carpet was so stained and dirty, I didn't even want to walk on it with socks on. Throughout the appointment my mom was walking around finding dresses she wanted me to try on. The stylist did seem a little irritated by that and I was informed that the stylist actually took away a few dresses that my mom had picked out and put them back out on the floor so I never got to try them on. I was very happy to find my dress and overall had a pretty good day but I believe they need to work a little harder to be better with customer service and keeping the store clean. read more

I get better service walking into a Walmart looking for toilet paper. I went into David's Bridal this last summer with another bride to look for bridesmaid dresses for her and my wedding dress. My consultant was polite. She wasn't hearing what I was saying or what I was looking for because she continued to bring me styles and sizes that were the opposite of what I was looking for. All three bridesmaids didn't find any sizes or styles that worked. I thought maybe they were too busy that day or it wasn't the time of year because months later it was my turn to buy bridesmaids dresses (after finding my dress elsewhere). I made the appointment two weeks in advance and this Sunday two of my bridesmaids and I went looking for dresses. We were greeted at the door by a really nice girl who told us to look around and our consultant would find us and get us a room. As we were looking, our consultant (who helped me when I was looking at wedding dresses months before) greeted us and said she's with a bride so come find her when we need her. We collected a lot of dresses and she was nowhere to be found. I walked around and she was in the room with her bride and the brides family. I wasn't going to knock on the door and disrupt the party so I tried finding someone else and there were 4 consultants at the front desk talking and ignoring me so I walked back to the greeter at the door and she apologized and got us a room. They were trying dresses on for about an hour and our consultant was again nowhere to be found. No one came to check on us, get us different sizes, ask us how we're doing, etc. There were only two other parties in the store and every time I walked near the desk or around the store looking for any dresses, consultants were just standing around, gossiping or just looking at me. Even when we walked out of the store, everyone just gave us a blank, hollow stare. It's so frustrating having to answer my own questions, find myself a fitting room, find different styles for my bridesmaids with no help and no direction. On top of shitty quality dresses and no help, I just feel like I wasted a Sunday afternoon driving from Vancouver and walking in a circle. Wouldn't recommend David's Bridal Clackamas to anyone, especially if you're serious about finding dresses for your wedding. read more

I bought my dress at a Davids Bridal location in California and was so impressed with the service at that location that I brought it back up to Oregon with me to have it altered at the Happy Valley Store... where they provided an uncomfortable and confusing customer service experience in addition to creating unnecessary issues with my dress which required last minute alterations days before my wedding. I went in to have the dress taken in on the sides, the bottom hemmed and a bustle installed. The first thing I noticed was that the fitting room was very dirty, the floor was super gross and I felt weird being barefoot in there. When moving my dress for the fitting, the staff kept dragging it on the ground and I'd have to trail behind them to pick it up. The gal who worked on my dress was curt and easily frustrated when I tried to ask clarifying questions about the bustle. At one point, she started raising her voice and I had to calm her down so that I could ask a simple question about where the bustle buttons would be attached to the dress. I was concerned about this because the dress was very delicate and I didn't want the weight of the train to pull on the body of the dress and potentially damage it. I also wanted the buttons to be less obvious; as additional buttons on the body would have been inappropriate for the style of dress. I left the store with the understanding that the buttons would be attached to the train and the button loops would be hidden under the lace on the body of the dress. So far so good... Fast forward 6 weeks later and the buttons were attached to the body of the dress (the opposite of what we had discussed) and barely hanging on to the delicate fabric that they should never have been sewn to in the first place. I verbalized my disappointment (nicely), but I needed to travel to my wedding destination the next day and didn't have time to let them fix it (and, to be honest, I didn't trust them to fix it after this.) Aside from cheerful apology, the staff gave me no indication that I could get a refund or have it fixed at another location and made me sign a waiver before I could get my dress back. I attempted to get reimbursed the $50 I payed someone else to fix the issue by contacting corporate and they wouldn't even consider it. I spent quite a bit of money on my dress/ alterations with Davids Bridal and felt that a $50 reimbursement (which was not even the cost of the original bustle installation) would have been a very easy way for them to correct the situation and make this right for me. But I guess they don't need my business anymore do they? I am deeply disappointed in Davids Bridal. read more

I went here with a friend who is getting married. I was not impressed with the selection of wedding dresses. The staff who was helping us told the bride that she could only try on 5 dresses where other bridal gown places let you try on as many as you'd like. The girl who was helping the bride with the dress didn't tighten the dresses in a flattering way so that didn't help show if the dress would look good or not. The prices seem to be less than other stores we have been to. So if you are looking for a less expensive dress, you may be able to find one. read more

So many things to say about this store. I am the Maid of Honor for my cousin's wedding in May. I had purchased three dresses (from other stores/online) previous and didn't like any one of them. Needless to say I was at the end of my dress buying rope. I needed to find a dress and fast, so I booked an appointment with this David's Bridal location to find a dress. I went online to book the appointment, and the online software told me to pick out some favorites so that I would be able to try them on during my appointment. I spent quite a bit of time going over the styles with the impression that I would be able to work with my sales rep and make this process as quick and painless as possible. When I arrived for my appointment, it was chaos (no points off here, I'm sure Saturdays are a ZOO). A sales rep came and got me after I checked in, let me know there was no way to look up my favorites on her end and dropped me off in the bridesmaid section and left. After aimlessly searching for a while, she came back and mentioned the board with all the styles. BINGO. That sped things up quite a bit, because I was able to point out the styles that I had already selected to try on. Maybe it's my lack of experience in this area, but I was a bit suprised to see that the dressing rooms had no mirrors in them, and they felt a bit like trying on fancy dresses at a Wal Mart. I didn't expect to be dressed like the brides are, but I feel like some opportunities were missed here. I did appreciate the use of an in-store strapless bra since I forgot mine. I just wish I didn't have to walk out in various states of dress in front of the entire store just to see how a dress fit. Needless to say, I found a dress that I loved that was in the colorway (Light pink) that the bride wanted (we had just gone through a color change the prior week), so I was ready to complete my purchase. My sales rep had to call corporate because I had asked for the dress in a longer length. While she was on the phone, she mentioned the color of the dress was 'Mint'. I spoke up and asked her if that was correct because "Mint" does not sound like it would be "Pink". My sales rep assured me that the "Mint" was the pink that I tried on and the designer just used weird color lablels on their dresses. Couldn't get the dress in a longer length, not an issue. I handed over my credit card, completed the purchase and walked out. Flash forward to Monday, and I was showing my co workers the dress I bought. they asked what color I purchased, imagine my suprise when I found the "Mint" color and discovered that I had ordered a GREEN dress. I was immediately on the phone, and THANK YOU to the store manager I spoke with, I was able to order the correct color dress with a few text messages (thanks to a friend who was taking pictures of the dresses so we could text the bride) of pictures sent and we were all set. All in all, it wasn't an experience that would send me back to David's Bridal anytime soon. read more

I'm sorry I even wasted my time going here. The service was terrible. I understand that it was a Saturday but I had an appointment and the girl helping me was also helping three other girls. I ended up standing there waiting and waiting and finally had my friend help me get in and out of the dresses. I mean seriously, a Saturday is going to be busy so STAFF ACCORDINGLY. The dresses: go here if you like taffeta and dresses that look like tacky prom dresses. The place felt like a Walmart honestly. Everything was cheaply made yet SUPER expensive. read more

I went here with my future wife. We went in twice. The first time was terrible. We didn't get a good employee and she didn't help us much at all. She was paying more attention to other shoppers and didn't even help my wife find dresses or get them in. Leaving me to zip up the back on all of her dresses for her. The second time we had an employee named Jessie and she was great! She helped us find multiple dresses my fiancé loved and then helped her throughout the trying on process. She was extremely helpful and complementary through the whole thing. She made my fiancé feel comfortable and beautiful in the dresses. We are doing a destination wedding and had something very specific in mind. Jessie helped us find the right dress and accessories for the wedding. She was awesome! I would recommend her to friends for sure read more
