We went to David's Bridal for a bridesmaid appointment for me, one other lady, and a young girl to try on dresses for a family's wedding. When we arrived, we weren't greeted and had to confront someone about the appointment. Then, they said for us to start looking at dresses and they would set us up in rooms, which they did. However, that was the last time we saw anyone or was asked if we needed any assistance. We ended up pulling all of our dresses, looking for sizes that fit, pinning ourselves to see if they would fit, and trying to figure out if the dresses could be altered in a way that they would need to be. Not once were we asked for help or if we needed any assistance with the dresses. We were all in shock by the fact we had zero attention and the bride has 7 bridesmaids and flower girls. We pulled about 15 dresses total ourselves and each tried them on. Then, when we were leaving, we weren't thanked for coming in or asked if we needed any additional information. No one said anything to us. We then went to grab a magazine packet and they said it was only for people who bought dresses. Just saying, we probably would've purchased a dress if we had a little attention and assistance for the appointment. Very disappointed with this location for David's Bridal. read more

I went to David's Bridal after my brother proposed to his fiance and she chose a bridesmaids dresses for us there. David's Bridal made it pretty convenient, as we all live in different locations, so it makes it accessible to simply find the nearest location, try on the style, and order the correct size. I made an appointment and let them know the style number and came in to try on. They only had the style in an 6, I believe, and in a different color, but were able to show me swatches of what the real dress would look like. I ordered a 4 after some guessing, and it arrived a couple months later. Unfortunately, the dress was still too big and I felt that it could be fixed by simply getting a size 2 rather than paying for alterations. I called and let them know of my issue, and then informed me to bring the size 4 back and that they would order a 2 and have it mailed to my house, which they did! This one came much faster, and still with ample time before the wedding. The interior of the store is pretty, a huge selection of dresses and attentive staff that are ready to help you and very knowledgeable in their field. I don't frequent bridal stores too often so I don't have much knowledge to speak from, but I had a pleasant experience and would recommend them anytime! They also have regular discounts and deals, the woman at the counter helped me get a discount on my bridesmaid dress! Would return .. if anyone ever gets married in the future and needs me to go get another bridesmaid dress :) read more

After purchasing my wedding dress from David's, I made the wrong decision to attempt to go here for alterations. After we were quoted a price for the alterations and signed the contract we were told it was $300 more at the cash register. The sales associates were incredibly rude and refused to explain why the price went up and refused to honor the signed contract we just signed for a different price. I asked to have my dress back to take somewhere else for alterations. The manager of alterations began yelling at me in the middle of the store saying "I will get my pins out of it don't follow me". My dress was my property and had been paid for. Another employee had to go in the back and get my dress because the alterations manager was never going to come out with it. I contacted the store manager and she did nothing to resolve this issue and didn't even follow up with a phone call when I was promised I would. I am so happy I was able to get my dress out of there before something happened to it. Stay far away from the alterations department, they are the most unprofessional people I have had the misfortune to come in contact with. It is worth spending more money to have it done somewhere else that treats you with respect and listens to what you want. This was at the Mayfield Heights, Ohio location. read more

I went to David's Bridal today with my future sister-in-law and her other bridesmaids in hopes of finding bridesmaids dresses. Upon checking in for our appointment, which my sister-in-law made last month, we were told they were very busy and we should consider coming back another day/time. Seeing as several girls came from out of town, this was not an option. We then waited to the side for at least 15 minutes before our consultant came to help. We were told we were not allowed to look through the bridesmaids dresses and only our consultant was allowed to grab styles. We were then given catalogs and were directed to search for styles in the catalog for the consultant to pull. As this was happening, she made all the girls loudly go around and announce her size. It was extremely humiliating and embarrassing for everyone to have to publicly announce their size. When the girl brought back from dresses, she rudely kept calling out sizes and basically just having us figure it out. She provided no assistance to my future sister-in-law (bride) and eventually she broke down in tears. No one seemed to care this was happening. It wasn't until my mother asked for a manager that the appointment turned a little better. The manager still provided no apology and continued to body shame us and publicly announced sizes. She offered no apology to my sister-in-law and we ultimately left without dresses. This was an extremely frustrating experience! read more

WHERE. TO. BEGIN. To quote another review, "WORST SERVICE EVER." I accompanied my friend, N to this store along with another friend/bridesmaid while she tried on bridal gowns. As a bridesmaid in her upcoming wedding and someone who is helping her talk out details about her wedding, I know a lot about her ideal style and what she was looking for while trying on dresses. Our trio should have known it was going to be a rough ride when we saw the unorganized chaos of the dress racks and how the consultants didn't seem to know who they were helping or which dresses belonged to which person. N's assigned consultant helped her try on her first dress, which fit awkwardly due to a easily fixed mis-sized under garment, but then he immediately left to "go to the bathroom." Our bride was left standing there for a handful of minutes while we watched the consultant shoot the breeze with some coworkers after he came back from his bathroom break. Every time N was ready to try on a new dress, she had to wait for several minutes for him to remember what he was supposed to be doing. As N was standing in one of the dresses, her consultant came over and, without asking, put a long, flowing white veil on her head. I tried to stop him, saying, "She doesn't want a veil." And he promptly replied, "Maybe YOU don't want a veil, but this isn't about you, it's about her." ! Here's the thing--my friend is 100% sure she does not want a long veil, but rather a birdcage/lace veil in front. I wasn't talking about myself in the least. He said, "I needed to give her the full effect." What part of "She doesn't want a veil" did he not understand?! The bride spoke up after me in agreement and the consultant took the long veil off her, but rolled his eyes at me as he was doing so! At another point he was taking so long to retrieve the next dress off the rack that the other person with us grabbed it and held it up to signal that we were ready to move on. Then the dirty looks really began. At one point N asked the consultant if he could bring over a short-sleeved lace shrug sort of thing so she could put it on top of another dress to get a visual of what that might look like. He brought a long sleeved shrug that was much too big and said that was the only garment the store had; no other shrugs at all. I replied that I had seen a short sleeved one in the front of the store. He disagreed. So, when he walked away, I grabbed it from the mannequin. As the other bridesmaid and I were walking back with it, we got stopped by the store manager, who reprimanded us like an elementary school principal, for taking it off the mannequin. Fair enough--I had also found about a dozen short-sleeved lace shrugs near where we had stopped. Our consultant heard our discussion with the manager and came over. We pointed out the shrugs that he claimed the store didn't have, and he retorted, "(the bride) told me she wants heavy beading, and these don't have any beading, so I didn't think she would like them." Ummmm...our friend actually dislikes heavy beading and avoids it. She later confirmed she didn't say that. Either the consultant made that up in front of the manager or had this bride confused with another. Anyhow, the manager caught the tension that was between us and the consultant and asked why we were taking things off the manequins, etc. That's when the blow-up started. The other bridesmaid assertively said something like, "If the service was better, we wouldn't have to try to help her ourselves. We have been waiting most of the time we've been here (etc)" I added that the consultant claimed the store didn't have any shrugs and there were actually quite a few, with evidence next to us. We were both simply stating that we weren't feeling valued as customers. The manager didn't apologize, but instead got extremely defensive, telling us that if we wanted better service we should come M-F during the day, when it is "completely dead" as opposed to a busy Saturday. We later heard that the consultant went into the fitting room with our bride after that discussion and tried to gossip about how we were "being very snippy" and "making a scene." What was she supposed to say? We didn't want to put her in an awkward position, but I've never had anyone make so many terrible faces at me while doing their job. (I'm actually a very nice person. I'm from Minnesota!) The tension between myself, the other bridesmaid, and the consultant continued and when he had enough he rudely passed his duties onto the manager. She was better but still not that helpful--wasn't listening to what N wanted, and also took an unnecessarily long time to return with dresses. I just need to stress further that the original consultant shot dirty looks toward the other bridesmaid and myself, quite obviously, every time he was in our vicinity. If you read this entire review, congratulations. Don't go to this David's Bridal! read more

I highly successful going to Luxe Redux in Orange instead! They took such good care of me and give you the one on one attention you deserve. They don't push you or pressure you. We ended up leaving because no one was helping us. We were told we could go get dresses ourselves when we asked for suggestions and then another employee stopped us and told us we couldn't try on too many because it would cut into someone else's appointment time. We still had 20 minutes left. The employee helping us was super nice but she left us to help a girl next to us so there were 2 ladies helping her and no one there to assist me. I understand the girl next to us was making a bigger purchase as she had stated she wanted to get 2 different dresses but the it hurt to see my one dress wasn't priority. I really do like David's but I booked this appointment back in January and it seems as though they weren't staffed for the need they had. These people are incompetent scam artist. DO NOT buy your dress from them!!! My Experience: My wedding dress shopping experience with David's Bridal was horrible to say the least. I went back in March to the Niles store to find a dress for my July wedding. The first night I went, I couldn't decide so 2 days later, I went to the Lyndhurst store and found my dress. Afterwards, Lisa from alterations came out to go over what I wanted done. I said I would probably just need a bustle and that I wanted a corset. She told me; "YOU SHOULD ORDER A SIZE LARGER IF YOU WANT THE CORSET SO IT CAN BE BROUGHT IN AND GIVE YOU THE FIT YOU WANT." I called the Niles store to order because the consultant there had worked with me more than anyone at Lyndhurst and the tax rate made the dress a little less expensive. About a week before my alterations appointment, I called and let Lisa know I was only going to have them do the corset because a family friend (who had been a seamstress for 30 years) was going to do my bustle for $40 rather than the $200 that David's Bridal wanted. Lisa went into a rage, insulting our family friend, and saying that there was all the sudden some policy that I was not permitted to have my dress altered elsewhere and that if I did, they wouldn't touch it. Funny because this policy isn't listed anywhere in the store, on the website, or on the receipt. Supposedly they're suppose to tell you when you buy the dress but no one told me or any of the 6 people I was with. I told their customer service that this could have been a huge legal issue but they didn't care. So I postponed my bustle appointment until after they put in the corset. During my altercations appointment at David's Bridal, I was told my dress was too big and would either need to be taken in or we would have to order a smaller size. When I explained that Lisa had told me to order a larger size, Amy and the manager on duty weren't sure why she would've told me that because the corsets are not bodices inside the dress. They're more so just see pieces. So now they had to order me a new dress 6 weeks before my wedding because I was given bad information by their employee AND I HAD TO PAY A RUSH FEE FOR IT! THEY MESSED UP AND I HAD TO PAY FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE!! After talking to customer service, they said the store was going to discount my alterations to make up for the rush fee but I was still charged the exact prices I was originally quoted for my alterations. I ended up spending over $1000. So I'm posting these because at this point, I am just hoping that no other bride has to go through what I did. I have 4 friends and a cousin who are getting married next year and I'll be sharing my experiences with them as well because I'll be damned if I have to spend even one more dime at Davids Bridal for a bridesmaid dress or anything else. You people should be ashamed of yourselves but since you're not, Ill be praying for you. read more

After 15 min, again only one other person is shopping, someone come and tells me the fitting rooms are open. This David's Bridal is TERRIBLE!!! Unprofessional, rude, not helpful whatsoever and overall had the worst experience as a bride here. I was so fed up after picking up my dress I went to David's Bridal in Fairlawn at the Summit Mall to finalize my bridesmaid dresses and alterations. Come to find out the girl who I had to "help me" try on dresses (who was terrible and clueless as well) never even put my wedding information for the bridesmaid dresses in the system! This is the same girl who asked me what size wedding dress I want without even measuring me... I had to ask her to measure me. The ladies at David's Bridal in Fairlawn took care of everything immediately and I am thankful for that. This is the first review I have ever done. I had scheduled an appointment to check out some dresses, but ended up getting passed around to some ill prepared sales associates, and even ended up getting some phone calls in the coming weeks about scheduling my appointment that I had already had... Alas, I am an extreme planner--some might say control freak...--so this little flub was fine and I started scanning racks and digging into the dress search. This wasn't until I got pushed to try certain things a little too much and was starting to get frustrated by the sales associate, but she was just doing her job and trying to get me in something more expensive, I'm sure. The fittings went incredibly smoothly, with less chaos and everyone was really helpful with suggestions and accommodations to my needs. I don't know that I'd ever urge someone to go to David's Bridal in particular, but that's because I see weddings as something that the brides need to figure out for themselves and especially with dresses, there's no better way to find one than to try the places you're drawn to without pressure. I will, however, say that my experience was easy (perhaps because I'm pretty easy going and focused) and I'll never forget finding my dress. read more

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! The staff acted like we weren't worth their time. We had 4 girls who were looking for bridesmaids dress and no one was around to get us a fitting room, AND THE STORE WAS EMPTY. I expect this type of service on a busy saturday afternoon, but they had maybe one other bride there. The consultant who finally helped us ordered the wrong dress. I got a phone call a month later stating they made a mistake and they didn't have the size I needed. They had to order me a dress 3 sizes too big so I could have the same dress as the other girls!!! They offered to comp my alterations, but I live out of town so there was no way I could use them (which I wouldn't even if I lived near by). So I'm stuck paying for their mistake. When we ordered our dresses, they were running a free shipping special. When the right dress finally came in, they sent me an email stating I needed to pick my dress up in 2 weeks because they do not hold orders. When I called the store to explain to them that I had asked to have it shipped and that I live too far to pick it up, the manager took my information and said she'll take care of it. I still don't have my dress and I keep getting emails saying that they will only hold the dress for so much longer. When I called for a second time, someone took my name and number and I haven't heard back from them. David's bridal doesn't take responsibility for their actions and I plan on contacting my credit card company to final have them dispute the charges and get my money back. We were looking for junior bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, mother-of-the bride dresses, jewelry, and more, and Heather made it so easy. She was also so kind and patient with my young nieces. Honestly, I was a bit worried when I saw the other review, but I truly had a great experience and would definitely recommend the store to others. I called on a Monday evening for an evening appointment ASAP. They got me the following evening without a problem. I was greeted friendly as soon as I walked through the doors. I dropped the bombshell that I have never shopped for dresses and my wedding was just shy of 2 weeks away. They assured me that this would not be an issue and that we should be able to find a dress. My consultant was Heather and she was amazing! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to pick up on what I was looking for. She helped me find "my dress"! I realized it was getting late but they did not rush me and the alteration lady even stayed late so I didn't have to return the following day. They were kind and considerate and will have my dress ready and altered even though my wedding is extremely soon! Way to go David's Bridal! You took a lot of stress off of me!!! read more

I have to say I was concerned about this store based on the reviews, but I had an amazing experience here! I grew up in Cleveland and now live out of state, but I was home for a week to wedding plan. We impulsively decided to book an appointment at this store online, but my expectations were low. Our appointment was on a Thursday afternoon and the store was virtually empty. My mom and I were running about 15 mins late, so the hostess directed us to the rack to select styles we liked. We did continue waiting for another 15 mins while they finished the previous appointment. Once they were ready for us, Norina pulled sizes for the dresses we had chosen. I did hear the wacky "your pant size is your dress size," but reading reviews had prepared me, and fortunately they fit me well anyway. (And yes, there's no mirrors in the dressing room, but there are PLENTY of mirrors all over the store!) I really enjoyed the selection -- it might be due to David's Bridal being a larger company. I was looking for a more modest dress for a religious ceremony, and we found many dresses that were great for me. Norina was really caring and helpful, and we enjoyed talking to her. It turns out we had the same venues for our receptions! Small world! I said YES to a beautiful dress (with a very affordable price!) and bought a veil, slip, and shoes as well. Because I had such a limited timeline (I wasn't even sure I'd be back in Cleveland before the week of the wedding), the store was able to take us immediately for alterations. We were so lucky they had availability, and Lisa was amazing. She gave us all our bustle options in a straightforward way, including prices. Plus, she was super helpful while my bridesmaid tried on dresses and gave us great advice on sizing. I am so grateful to this store for making everything so easy for us! I'm not sure if it's all David's Bridals or not but this location annoyed me and my bride to no end. Everything was in disarray as far as the ordering of our dresses where they were located my bride getting fitted for her dress and alterations done everything was very cumbersome and unorganized. Which really sucks as a bridesmaid because you want to alleviate some of the stress from your bride and it's pretty much impossible or was impossible for us at this location. They made it hard by ordering all the dresses under the bride's name and losing our orders. Which took me calling and talking to a couple different people before they actually looked around their entire store only to find our bridesmaids dresses in there alteration section which made no sense because we were not getting alterations and we had not even come to pick up our dresses. They even told us that we had already picked up our dresses. Also our bride had to reschedule her alterations because they're stockroom was too full for them to hold her dress even though her dress was scheduled to come in at a certain time and she was already scheduled for her alterations at a certain time. Which means that there must be some type of Harlem in their organizing or shipping or storage that you can't order address and have it stored in the storage room until the proper time for you to be fitted. If it were my wedding or someone else wedding and I had to go to a David's Bridal I think I'll probably just pick a different location I'm not sure if it's there practice or just that location read more

What a let down. I called to make a Monday appointment. When speaking with the receptionist (who was very very nice) I made it a point to tell her that I was making a Monday appointment so that I would hopefully have a consultant to myself. I mentioned how I had been in to the one in Fairlawn on a Saturday and the consultant was running around like crazy trying to please 3 girls. The receptionist reassured me that I would be able to have someone help me. When I arrived, the store was pretty empty. All I can say is thank God I had my friend with me. My friend and I pulled all of the dresses, I took them off the hangers, put them back on the hangers, took them from my room, put them back on the rack. It was a nightmare. Oh did I mention my friend just had knee surgery and was using crutches at the time..... ONLY when I got VERY excited about 1 dress did someone come over to talk to me about financing. Went there on 1/28/17 for a 9 am appointment. Everything started out great. Met with the sales associate who picked out about 5-6 dresses to try on. Shortly after trying on items she got several other customers and i felt like i was pushed to the side. This was my very first experience trying on dresses and i was very disappointed. I understand they were short staffed but my wedding is in a few months, it was my first time shopping and with an appointment I hoped for a little more one on one. I had to have my soon to be sister-in-law help find additional dresses for me to try on. Once i had picked a dress the associate said she would be back in a minute to help me out of the dress, after 10-15 minutes i had to have my SIL help me out of it. On top of that the sales lady was extremely pushy with the add on's. There was a sash I had tried on, I asked if a sash came in different colors and she said (very rudely) that sashes only come in 3 colors (white, ivory, and champagne). I later went online and found a similar sash in the color i wanted. She also pushed the undergarments, stating that they were only available here, she didn't even give me the price of anything or options, I understand they want you to purchase from them but come on, at least tell me a price point. I was also interested in purchasing a flower girl dress for my daughter, she pretty much forgot about that, so I will purchase later from another sales rep. She also forgot about the style of dress, location, etc. during the appointment. Maybe she should have taken notes or something. Because of this I only purchased my dress from her, I wish she didn't even get the commission for that as she didn't really do anything for the last hour of my appointment. I hope when i go pick up my dress i have a better experience. That will determine if i get alterations done there or not. read more

Hi Ladies, I must say that Rachel was awesome at David's bridal. I arrived at the store pretty close to closing time and was able to find dresses for my maid of honors, junior bridesmaids and myself. I didn't go there looking for my dress because I had one already, but I bought this one because it was on sale for $50 whatttttt. Come to find out it was really a prom dress, but I'm in love with it. She was so helpful in meeting all my needs what she didn't have in the store she ordered it. It is such a relief that everyone now is dressed for a wedding 8/20/2016. Terrible customer service. I had a appointment and was waiting for a consultant. While waiting for my consultant I hear the woman at the desk tell a consultant "take your time, she's just a walk in." I ignored it and hoped my appointment would be better. My consultant had another bride and her bridesmaids who she was clearly having a good time with. She just threw me in some dresses disregarding what I liked and then said "you won't hurt my feelings if you go somewhere else." It was a very unwelcoming experience. read more

I also had a terrible customer service experience at this location. Despite having made an appointment for my bridesmaids, we received virtually no help throughout the entire time we were there, even though we asked for help repeatedly. There was only one other bride in the store at the time, so we were shocked when the saleswomen there walked right past us as though we didn't exist. The dresses available to try on were very, very worn, and featured missing clasps and stains on the insides. One of my bridesmaids was reprimanded for letting a dress touch the floor, despite its poor condition. To top it off, their prices were no better than the actual designer I decided to go with, Alfred Angelo. I know David's Bridal exists as a budget alternative to brides, but the quality of our experience was so poor that we decided to go elsewhere. Made an appointment to get a dress for my sons wedding. I was excited to go because I thought I would get help from a professional. Wrong. You pick out your own dresses and try them on with no mirrors inside the dressing rooms . Very awkward . No help from the consultant. I found a dress with help from my family. It was stained. Ordered a new dress. When it got there and I got a message that my special order was there they couldn't find it. Oh they put it on the floor. Really. The dress was not cheap. My mother, best friend, and I went to David's Bridal to get shoes and a veil. Megan was a delight, even if I had to keep bending down so she could reach the top of my head. Lol. She helped us find the perfect veil and comb to accessorize with. I already had a dress (not bridal) that was ordered online, but my mom wanted me to try on a gown just to have that moment. Well, the dress Megan picked out was gorgeous! A near perfect fit and since we were all in tears, including the staff, my mom decided it had to be purchased! But my wedding was the next day! Megan, Ami (I may have spelled that wrong, but she was an awesome woman with a great smile!) and the seamstress worked to get the gown ready to have the alterations done and be picked up the following day. They added sleeves, a 6 point bustle, and a bra inserts all in less than 24 hours. I was amazed and so thankful, so much so, I have made my first Yelp review. I had a great experience with this store when I bought my bridesmaids dress from here. All the bridesmaids tried on so many dresses and I loved that they had so many different sizes and colors for us all. The consultants were helpful and so nice and made the ordering process easy. When our dresses came in, my sister's zipper was stuck on something and wasn't zipping correctly. Rachel and the seamstress fixed the issue right away and it fit great! This is a really beautiful shop with great designers and I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for their dress! read more

Where do I begin! I went to pick out my wedding dress two months ago. Something that was suppose to be an exciting day turned out not so exciting. The girl I had kept leaving me to go help other people! So I had to wait about 15 minutes every time I tried on a dress for her to get me another one. Then when I finally found THE DRESS she's like ok well let me get someone to order it for you. Like excuse me, why can't you order it? I was done! I was just happy I found my dress and I couldn't wait to get out of there. Today I picked up my wedding dress. I was beyond excited! The girl I got was a ditz and I don't think she knew exactly what she was doing. She could barely answer my questions about the dress. Then continued to ask me if I was making an alterations appt. umm NO! You guys are beyond rude and clearly don't know what the hell you guys are doing! Will NOT being referring anyone to them! I came here to get my bridesmaids dress. The people who worked there were awful. Completely inattentive and would not help at all. I asked if a dress came in another color and they acted like it was the worst thing I could have ever asked. They didn't care at all and completely ruined our experience. This was the worst experience ever! I bought a bridesmaid's dress for $150. I was sized at David's Bridal, and when the dress came in was told that I would need to spend $260 worth on alterations. I did so and the alterations were done horribly. The dress was taken up at the top of my shoulders unevenly. This left the armpits different sizes. On top of one shoulder there's a big lump of material that was folded over that can be seen easily. Again this was uneven with the top of the other shoulder. The alterations were done very poorly and David's Bridal refuses to do anything to correct them. I contacted David's Bridal's corporate offices and sent them emails and pictures. They have not bothered to reply back other than the initial email from them saying they received my email. Do not buy anything from David's Bridal. They are poor, shady, money-making operation. They are in no way concerned about their customers' satisfaction. Think twice brides before you deal with this business! They are in no way a cheaper alternative since they make you order SUPER large so that they can make money on alterations. BEWARE! read more

TERRIBLE! I went with my bridesmaid to pick out dresses for them and everything was fine, at first. The consultant we had did not know much at all about any of the dresses. She left our group and as more of my girls started to get there (I have 9 bridesmaids) I had to pull the dresses off the rack for them to try on. 6 of my bridesmaids were there that day and when I asked about purchasing I was told that some can order if they are ready and others can put it on lay away without putting any money down. Well, we went up front to do so and the manager said asked (for the girls who wanted on lay away) if there dress was in the store. How am I supposed know that? Then she proceeded to tell me that if we were ordering all girls had to order. How are we supposed to do that when all of my girls weren't there? Then she said you have to put some money down for lay away. That's fine, BUT EVERYONE was telling me different things. I told her how I felt, which is something I NEVER do and she got an attitude with me. You are a bridal shop, everyone should be on the same page and telling their customers the right information. A week later I went there with the rest of my bridesmaids to get then sized and our consultant that day was super sweet! I'm not getting married until March and she said that even if we waited until November to order the dresses that we would be fine! I would never wait that long, but it will make sense. I have my girls a two week time frame to order there dresses. I wanted to get them in because one of my girls went off to college so I wanted to get it out of the way! Well, my aunt called David's bridal to order my cousins dress over the phone. The lady that answered told her she didn't know if they would get here on time!!! It's August!! You have 7 months to get them here! She told my aunt she would call her back. She called my aunt back and said, well her dress size isn't in the store so would she want an XS or M. My aunt obviously didn't order it so I went there the next day to talk to a manager. She looked into it for me and talked to me like I was an idiot. She was like, "well I told you this before." No you did not because this is all new news to me. Then she said there were no sizes for two of my girls. Well there should be because i watched them get sized. she also had a color wrong for one of the girls! thank god no one ordered because it all would have been wrong! She was super fake an wanted to fix the problem, but I am surely taking my business elsewhere and giving another store an opportunity to make money off of 9 bridesmaids! The only reason this review gets a second star is because of the bridesmaid dress shopping. If I'd only had my bridal gown appointment, this would be one star. I am a planner, so I made two appointments at this location for the same day, an 11am for the bridesmaids and a 5pm for myself. This was about two weeks ago. The Good: The bridesmaids' appointment went well, with the exception of a store error that caused a short period of distress for myself and one of my bridesmaids. Our consultant for the bridesmaids' dresses was very nice and attentive. She greeted us as we walked in the door and she had my favorites from my online profile printed out. She quickly showed us where each of the favorites were located and we decided which ones the girls should try on. We decided on a dress in under an hour and my girls ordered theirs. My only issue with the bridesmaids' dress shopping experience is that one of my bridesmaids called the store today to see if her dress had came in (I had received an email that my maid of honor's dress was in) and they proceeded to tell her that they had no record of her purchase or my wedding party, despite the fact that I (and my maid of honor) witnessed her purchase the dress the day of the appointment. After the associate implied my bridesmaid was lying, she asked to speak to the manager and was able to get it straightened out. It turns out they had missed the last letter of my name when they entered her order. My name was spelled correctly on my maid of honor's order and on my DB online account, so it was just a typo, but it caused some temporary distress. The Bad: When we returned for my bridal gown appointment later in the day for my second time slot, we arrived about 15 minutes early, so we looked around for a bit. When it was time for my appointment, my consultant came over to me (a different one from the bridesmaids' appointment). She had an attitude from the very beginning. She asked me my pants size and I told her 8-10, but that I was smaller on top. She then says "OK, then you'll need a 12.. all of our dress sizes are your pants size plus one." I told her how I wear different sizes depending on what the item of clothing is, because I have a big bottom (size 10-12) and smaller waist (size 6-8). She would cut me off and say in a very rude tone (my bridesmaids were there with me and couldn't believe she was using that tone while supposedly trying to make a sale), "It's ALWAYS your pants size plus one, so it'll be a 12." I can't imagine how a body-conscious bride might react to her words and tone she was using in this moment. Luckily for her, I couldn't be happier with my figure. I have flat stomach with curvy hips.. but she could really hurt someones feelings. Then, she took me to the fitting room and when she was dressing me, she would jerk the dresses around me and was very short with me. I was really bothered by her attitude because I couldn't be a more agreeable person. Despite all of the attitude she gave me, I still smiled and was friendly. I'm not a person who ever yells at people. I am laid back and even timid, so I would never be rude to the salesperson and couldn't understand why she was that way with me. All of the dresses she put me in were size 10 by the way, not 12, and they fit perfectly. So much for her "your pants size plus one" attitude. Another instance of her poor customer service was when I tried on a dress with a waist sash. She tied the sash on my waist, and I explained to her that I would rather it be around my hips where (in my opinion) this horrible looking seam was. She told me that the sash would ride up if we put it there without getting it sewn on, which I told her I understood. However, I asked if I could still see it tied at the hip to cover the seam because the only way I would buy that dress is if I got a sash sewn on to cover that seam. She tied it at my waist (inches above the seam) once again, so finally my maid of honor held it down at my hips where I wanted to see it since my consultant wouldn't. After this, I had told my family and friends that were there that this consultant was ruining my experience and making me not want to spend any money here at all. Thankfully, since I am not comfortable confronting people or being rude to people, my future sister-in-law went and spoke to the manager about her. The manager took over for some time and that was better, but we got the original consultant back again shortly after. Overall, I was very displeased with my experience at David's Bridal. I expected more from such a large company. I would think that the sales associates work on commission, but by the carelessness I experienced, it seems as if she could care less if we spent money there. Prior to this experience, I wanted to buy not only my gown there, but also my veil, mother-of-the-bride dress, and flower girl dress there, but now DB has lost my business for all of those things.
