HORRIBLE!!! My consultant was so rude to me that I barely wanted to talk to her about the few dresses I tried on. When I mean few that's because the consultant kept pulling samples that were way too small that I couldn't even get them over my head. I'm a size 12-14. She didn't bother to look to see if maybe other consultants pulled the same dress in a larger size or bother to call other locations to see what sample sizes could of been available for me to try on. I was told that if I really wanted to try on a dress that I like but they didn't have close to my sample size, I had to order that dress and if I didn't end up liking it I could only exchange it not return it. At this point I felt bad about myself and wanted to leave. She put me in a dress that actually I could put on fully but it was just ok. This could of been my dress but wouldn't have been able to tell because my feelings were so hurt. With the exception of the few minutes of us greeting, I felt like I was a huge bother to this woman. I have gone to David's Bridal twice and each time while the consulants Julie and Dominika were nice enough I felt pressured into my dress choices. Julie was alot nice in my first visit though that day it was very crowded and chaotic and she said she was helping someone else and told my mother and I to look at dresses to try on.Seeing as at that point i'd not exactly had a shopping exsperience like that in a large salon I was intimiated. When Julie was able to come and help things went ok and I narrowed dresses down but still needed to sort out which one i'd like because they didn't have any dresses with color in them sans blush or cream and a prom dress that was a bit over the top. Everytime I tried on a dress she wanted me to rate the dress from 1-9 and was dismissive about a dress that I liked equally to another.It was a turn off but not a horrible exsperience. When I went back I Dominika who kept wondering where Julie was that she could not take me as her appointment. She made me feel like I was a chore and while I did try on other dresses and a different style dress I explained I wanted a $99 dollar dress. I know my logic may have sounded silly about having a back up dress in case I didn't find THE ONE dress but here's the thing that was my choice just as it was if I wanted to wear a blue bridesmaids dress as my wedding dress it was my choice.Not everyone dreams of a big flowing white dress on their wedding day and some don't want an exspensive dress no matter the circumstances. I think that when you are shy, wedding planning is very stressfull and intimidating cause especially if it's not something you'd been dreaming about since before you hit puberty and so pressure salespeople, a large,loud, chaotic store may not be for you. Here are some tips with shopping at David's Bridal, try to have everything regarding the style dress you want and your budget in mind when you go. Don't take alot of people with you to our appointment as seating is at a premium given how the set up of the store is, so probably no more than three people. Even if you have your own strapless bra with you ,be prepaired that they will want ou to try on the dresses wearing one of theirs. My suggestion if your shy, schedual your appointment in the moring when they open, things are less crazy then. My first appointment was in the middle of the day and the store was packed and my second I was the first bride there, it was more relaxed and didn't feel rushed til the other appointments started showing up. While the exsperience was different I wouldn't say it was horrendous but I didn't like feeling like I was being pressured and I didn't like leaving empty handed last week when I had made up my mind on a dress. I understood what my consulant ment but bottom line it was my day. I still hadn't found a dress I loved so even if I wanted to "waste" a hundred dollars on a back up dress then that was on me. Also if I wanted to wear a bridesmaid dress as my wedding dress, then again that was on me too. Also if I have two dresses that I like for an appointment keep track of both dresses and not the one that was just your top pick.I won't even get started on how I felt when being told that Julie must have given me larger dresses than a size 16 to try on,ect... sometimes it's not what you say it's how you say it. Sometimes tack is best. All in all i'd still refer people to the store i'd just tell them how to be better prepaired than I was. read more

This was the worst experience ever! I bought a bridesmaid's dress for $150. I was sized at David's Bridal, and when the dress came in was told that I would need to spend $260 worth on alterations. I did so and the alterations were done horribly. The dress was taken up at the top of my shoulders unevenly. This left the armpits different sizes. On top of one shoulder there's a big lump of material that was folded over that can be seen easily. Again this was uneven with the top of the other shoulder. The alterations were done very poorly and David's Bridal refuses to do anything to correct them. I contacted David's Bridal's corporate offices and sent them emails and pictures. They have not bothered to reply back other than the initial email from them saying they received my email. Do not buy anything from David's Bridal. They are poor, shady, money-making operation. They are in no way concerned about their customers' satisfaction. Think twice brides before you deal with this business! They are in no way a cheaper alternative since they make you order SUPER large so that they can make money on alterations. BEWARE! read more

Since my daughter has bridesmaids in different states, we thought it would be great to use David's Bridal so that each bridesmaid could try on dresses at the location that was closest to them. Unfortunately, I accompanied my daughter and one bridesmaid to the Lyndhurst location and we were extremely disappointed in the service and attentiveness that we received. We checked in, were given a fitting room, and were assigned a personal consultant, but our consultant never came over to introduce herself to us, never checked on us, and left us to do the entire process by ourselves; this included finding dresses on the racks, trying on dresses and choosing the right styles. We asked a young worker nearby for help in finding a particular style, and she was actually chastised by another consultant who told her that we weren't her group! When it was time to order the dresses, we wrote down the style numbers from the tags ourselves and proceeded to the front of the store to ask someone for help in spending our money. Although the consultant (yes, we finally met her at the checkout counter) put all the information into the computer, we weren't told that they had a "trial" computer system in-place until today, when one of the bridesmaids went to a different David's Bridal location and they weren't able to retrieve any of our dress information. If I hadn't written all the information in my "MOTB Wedding Binder" (laugh if you want, it saved the day!), the bridesmaid would have made a useless 45 minute trip today. My daughter (the bride) did not receive any printout of the dress style numbers or colors she chose so that she could pass it on to her bridesmaids... apparently David's Bridal relies only on their computer system, which for the time being, isn't accessible. Quite a disappointing experience, from the customer service to the ordering process. I gave them two stars instead of one, due to the great potential of ordering the same dress styles and colors for bridesmaids in several states- if that works, it might be worth it. read more

Stay away from David's Bridal in Lyndhurst go to the one in Strongsville. This was a horrible experience for me. I made an appointment on a Monday because I was told that is a slower time. When we came in for our appointment the person checking us in told me that they only have one consultant and she has 2 or 3 brides so feel free to browse and she will come over to introduce herself. Now I understand that this is not an exclusive store, but really? What was the point in making an appointment. I had no clue of what I wanted or what I might look good in. I'm just at the plus size range and I don't really wear dresses that's why I came so that I could have some help. So my mother and I started picking out dresses. Somebody came over maybe 10 minutes or so later and asked did we find something. We showed her the dresses we picked out and she put them on a rack and walked away. There was one other bride trying on dresses. She put me in one of the smaller rooms I guess that are used for bridesmaids, because after the other bride left (we showed up at the same time) she moved me to the "bigger room" for the brides. I waited before I started trying on dresses because I thought that she might help, but she didn't even come over until after I had already tried on the second dress. She did bring me a slip to try and make the dresses fuller and showed me different headbands/tiaras as well as adornments that could be sewed on the dress, but that is it. No help getting them on or off and any bride knows what a nightmare it is getting dress on/off by yourself. My mother is the one that helped me with buttons, and straps, taking the dresses out of the room that I tried on. The "consultant" was nice, we talked when she was there. She just did nothing for me. We asked where the "plus size" dresses were because the ones I had tried on were too small and I couldn't get a good feel on how the dress would look on. She told me that they don't really carry any plus sizes. After I tried a few dresses we went back to wander the racks and there were 2/3 full racks of dresses that were size 16+. Basically if you want any semblance of customer service I would stay far far far away from the David's Bridal in Lyndhurst. I am driving 40 minutes away to go to the one in Strongsville (where I found my dress!!) because the customer service is so much better there. read more

My daughter is in Maine. Part of her bridle Party is here. We thought great we can have things done and coordinate between the shops ... Wrong!!! The shop after preparing the dress for a bride's maid said that the shop in Maine could handle the alterations and Final pressing. Wrong! After getting the Dress to Maine. the shop there refused to Handle the alteration or Pressing. Claiming "We done do that". Very unprofessional for making claims about another shop that may well have been know in advance just to close the sale and get on to the next customer. read more

This place ripped me off with my daughters alterations. Price was almost 3x the quoted price.

I am not the typical bride. I did not walk in to the store with much knowledge at all, other than the few dresses I had clicked into favorites on line. I was not looking forward to trying on tons of dresses, I thought I sort of knew what I wanted and that was about all I had to go off of. I booked an appointment online, which was so super easy. I showed up a little early, expecting to wait for a little while. There was not wait, even though the store seemed pretty busy. My helper was Stephanie and she was wonderful. She obviously knew what she was doing, listened to what I had to say and within 4 dresses I was in happy tears, having found my dress. We tried on a few more but we came back to that dress quickly. The process was easy, simple and exactly what I needed. Everyone working there was helpful, Stephanie was awesome. I will be back to get bridesmades dresses as well as alterations. I appreciate the convenience as well as the selection. Start to finish it was a great experience! read more

What was a not so good experience turned out to be a great experience with the help from Rachel V., the store manager and Kira a sales Rep. On my first visit I purchased a dress that when I got home had second and third thoughts about. My mom and sister did all they could to find me a dress that I liked with little to no help from my original sales rep. Being the great person that she is Rachel came over and helped me with the original dress along with offering me suggestions as to how to add some "bling" to the dress. I can't thank you enough. Not feeling great with my purchase I visited the store the following day and was reassured by Rachel that she wanted to make sure brides were happy and to come back and exchange the dress. Coming back I was linked up with Kira who is awesome, through a terrible case of allergies she pushed through and showed me many dresses, getting to know what my taste was along with showing me various priced dresses. After picking a few prospective dresses, together we found one that I fell in love with. Kira was there to help me try on dresses, gave me feedback etc. Waiting till my Mom and Sister arrived Kira assisted me and others once they arrived she still was there to help with the final dress and gave her feed back. To make a long story short I left Davids Bridal on July 29, happy and pleased with everything I purchased when I return it will be to pick up my dress. :) :) read more
