I wish I could give a 0 star due to the rude and unprofessional behavior of the sales associates. My daughter, who has a mild speech impediment, was ridiculed on two seperate occasions by sales associates while in the store as part of two different wedding parties. What gown adult woman would belittle someone for something that they have no control of? I would much rather have a slight stutter than be ignorant, rude, mean and stupid. Beware ladies and go buy your wedding dress from a professional establishment. read more

My advice would be to make sure that your order is correct, but even though my bridesmaid did that, and the incorrect dress was STILL ordered and delivered. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a "bridezilla" or anything, but for this to happen is completely unacceptable. There should be enough procedures in place to ensure that this doesn't happen in such an important situation. Before you purchase anything here, you may want to come up with a disaster plan in the event that they fail to complete your order correctly. Also, I never got an apology from Expressions. I went there last year before my wedding to help my mom look for a mother of the bride dress. Neither of us had ever been in there, so we just walked in. Once we entered the store we were treated rudely by the staff! I don't give a rats behind if I had an appointment or not! I was the bride and it was my special day, your loss that my mom found a dress there but REFUSED to purchase because of the women working there! There is ONLY ONE thing that I can say positively about this place... There was a black women working there who helped my mothers & I even after being instructed NOT to! I came in with an expecting friend (who is beginning to show) to order her bridesmaid dress. We were RUDELY told they couldn't help us with bridesmaid dresses because I bought my bridal gown at another shop. Before leaving, I did ask if we could at least look at the designers' size charts and fabric/color swatches (which are both typically readily available in a book or binder), but the sales associate made an odd comment of how the store has had problems in the past sharing them, so they no longer do. This didn't make any sense. Bottom line: Abysmal service. Disrespectful, dismissive staff that are not very accommodating and apparently don't want your business. read more

My sister just called me crying because of the experience she had here tonight. She was treated with the utmost disrespect and humiliated by the so called "sales associates" here; she was with our other sister and niece. They planned this all week and we're just heartbroken by how rude and crude these people were. No one should ever step foot in this establishment. If I were the owner and found out about this, I would be furious. DO NOT GET YOUR DRESS FROM HERE. If I could give Expressions NEGATIVE stars I would. Literally my dress experience with them was THE WORST part of wedding planning and it's supposed to be the most fun.. First of all, the dress I ended up picking out for my wedding day I specifically picked out because of the back. The sample dress I tried on was big, but apparently that is why I liked the back because it laid low and elongated my back side. They did not mention that if the dress was in my correct size the entire back would look different because if they had I would have never picked that dress out because it was no longer flattering. The lady measured me, and wrote on the slip "needs to be taken in at the bust, hips and waist." basically the entire dress so you would think they would order a size down, but no. They ordered the sample size which was obviously big on me. When I finally went in for alterations on a Friday only 7 weeks before the wedding, they had to pull the dress up and pin it, pull the dress in and pin it and it was AWFUL. I stood there for HOURS and it looked horrible, it wasn't the same dress at all. I of course start crying because the girls that work there are NO HELP AT ALL and are scared to talk to Marcy. They FINALLY called her because I was crying my entire appointment and all Marcy had to say was "Well, theres nothing I can do. If she has any questions she can e-mail me on Monday." E-MAIL YOU ON MONDAY? Thats some great customer service right there. I had to actually go somewhere else to have my dress fixed because no one at Expressions could do it. I finally got my dress 3 weeks before the wedding, panicked the entire time because I didn't know if I was going to have a dress or not and literally everyone at Expressions could care less because they already have your money. We were still responsible to pay for some of the alterations they did do which was so wrong and SO expensive. We should not have had to pay for them because when I picked the dress out they should have told me the back of the dress would be high instead of low in the correct size. How am I suppose to know that? It is THEIR JOB to discuss that with you. I trusted they knew what they were doing when they measured me and no one there has a clue what is going on. Before this entire mess happened and my dress had not come in yet I made the HUGE MISTAKE of going there to pick out my bridesmaids dresses. Two out of the four dresses did not fit. The workers ordered my girls a size 6. When the dress came in the workers couldn't zip up their dresses without shaking the whole time and then the girls couldn't breath and they tried to stand there and say the dresses fit great. DO YOU EVEN HAVE EYEBALLS? They were clearly uncomfortable. Marcy then remeasured the girls and said in that dress they should have been ordered a size 10. HOW DO YOU MEASURE SO WRONG WHEN THAT IS YOUR JOB? Your business relies on your workers measuring people correctly and they can't even do that right. After fighting for an hour one of the girls finally got their money back and had to return the dress because they waited to long and could not order another one in time for the wedding. LUCKILY she was my maid of honor and I just got her a different dress at Nordstrom in a size 4 that fit PERFECT. (I recommend going there for your wedding dress) My other girl who lives in Florida was measured before she left to go back home and was told they were going to add fabric to the side band and it would fit perfect for the wedding when she came back. She shows up to Expressions a week before the wedding and the owners mom put fabric around the bust which DID NOT need to be taken out and left the band at the waist completely the same (the part that was tight). IS THIS A JOKE? She was measured AGAIN and AGAIN Expressions could not do their job correctly. They told her to come back the next day and the dress would be fixed. Well, she returned the next day and the dress was EXACTLY THE SAME. They told her there was nothing they could do and that she needed to leave the store. She finally got her money back from them and was told she needed to leave the dress but the wedding was in FIVE days and she needed to wear SOMETHING so they eventually let her take the dress. She took her dress to a different seamstress and they had MANY options on how to fix the dress. They fixed her dress in ONE night and it fit PERFECT. Expressions literally does not know how to do anything right. I have absolutely no idea how this business is still open. Seriously, if I could tell every bride ONE THING it would be TO NOT GO TO EXPRESSIONS. They made me completely not excited about my dress, caused me so much stress when they didn't care that I was having such issues and didn't care about my girls dresses not fitting. The workers there are not friendly and honestly I can PROMISE I would have had a much better experience ANYWHERE but here. STAY AWAY. FAR AWAY. read more

This place is a disgusting excuse for a company. I found them at the Cleveland Bridal show and that was the worst mistake of my life. I went in and found a gown that I liked. Then their sales associate that is SUPPOSED to know what they are doing measured me. Then my dress comes in and it is the WRONG SIZE. What have they offered to do for me ? NOTHING! I am stuck with a dress that is the WRONG size. It is now five weeks to my wedding. Your employees and owner were incredibly rude to use when we called about the issue and then hung up on us-- quality customer service. I had a FABULOUS experience here and ended up purchasing my wedding gown from Expressions! I thought I had found my dress at another bridal salon, but since I was in the area I decided to check this place out! Tai was the lady who helped me through the whole process and let me tell you she was amazing!! Work with her if you can. She was never pushy, always helpful, honest and ended up coming up with a great suggestion of how to customize my gown,which I ended up doing! At my first appointment, I ended up falling in love with a gown! It was absolutely gorgeous and eventually became the gown I ended up buying. Tai let me try on quite a few dresses and really worked with my budget and what I dreamed of wearing. Since I wanted to think about it, I ended up not buying on that first appointment. After a couple hours, I knew that was the dress!! I could not stop thinking about it! We easily set up another appointment to come back and purchase it! They have you take a picture with a sign saying Yes to the Dress!! It was really adorable. My gown came in time and I also got my alterations done there. Prices were great and the seamstress makes sure to get you done in time and does a really great job for an awesome price. The store itself is very neat and the staff know what they are doing. There are tons of designers and options along with gowns at different price points so there is something for everyone. read more

Awesome customer service. I was a walk-in from the beginning, and they still helped me find my BEAUTIFUL wedding dress. (You do need to schedule an appointment) They were very respectful to my family, husband and I. My husband and I were coming in from Columbus once a month to follow up with fittings. Before my dress was made to fit me, they had a model dress I could try on, I would bring family and friends from out of town; Bridal Expression would have the model dress ready for me to try on in the dressing room every time!! :) I truly appreciated that extra above and beyond service. My husband also rented his tuxedo, they were soooo accommodating for his needs. He also found the "the perfect" suit for our wedding day. Thank you Bridal Expressions for everything!! read more

Horrible experience ruined my dress buying experience. I cant not believe they are still in service. I ordered my dress in September and all did not arrive until late May and my wedding is in June! Gives me not a lot of time for alterations at all! I also paid the remainder of my dress in cash $500. Guess what they lost the receipt and said I never paid. Also said I owed the remainder of it. I bought my bridal gown here in July and have been very happy with everything since. My dress came in the March (which was standard time for the designer), and I got a call to make an appointment as soon as it was in. Every staff member has been extremely helpful. My bridesmaids all ordered their dresses here too. Even with several different appointments for the girls, Expressions was wonderful to work with each time, with or without an appointment. A friend of mine told me about Expressions and I was so glad she did! They had the best selection and I had no problem finding my dream gown there. What a horrific experience! I came in with about 10 dresses from a designer they carry, as they suggested I look online before coming into the store. They had none of their dresses in the store. At least the consultant knew what I was searching for, though. She had me look at their rack of dresses up front, with maybe 75 dresses on it. I was told to pull dresses that I liked, in my prize range, and size. Those were the dresses I was able to choose from, because they told me I would need to buy the sample dress since my wedding was 70 days away. I understood that I might have a limited selection with a quickly approaching wedding. Being my first dress shopping experience, I didn't know what to expect. All of the dresses were hung up in the tiny dressing room. They had heavy black curtains on the dressing rooms that didn't fully close. When my eyes met someone else's eyes from outside the dressing room is when I realized anyone walking by could see my half-naked self. The store doesn't provide undergarments for you to use while trying on gowns. I had to wiggle myself into these 10 pound dresses, and the consultant would come in to zip me up. I noticed that every single dress I tried on had holes, rips and/or stains. I think this is most likely caused by people putting the gowns on themselves. Ultimately, I wasn't going to spend FULL PRICE on a SAMPLE DRESS. The dresses were in such poor condition with makeup stains and 3-inch tears. To be honest, they only had about 4 gowns that were in my size and within my budget. I told the consultant my dress size and she would pull things two sizes smaller. It was mortifying coming out of the dressing room in a tiny dress. They assured me I could buy a small gown and have it let out. (Which is an expensive alteration, by the way) Kayla, my main consultant was pleasant. My only dilemma is that she pulled dresses that were clearly too small or sleeveless (I required a dress with sleeves). Tai was the other consultant helping her. She told me that I had unrealistic ideas of what I was looking for. She told me what I wanted "wasn't out there." She rolled her eyes several times during the appointment, when I said anything negative about the gown I was in. She acted frustrated that I didn't like the few gowns that I tried on. Because of starting to feel emotional and overwhelmed, I decided to end the appointment. I was thankful my bridesmaid was there to end the appointment for me because I didn't want to approach Tai. I did learn that the consultants don't make commission on their sales. Not sure if this has anything to do with their poor customer service or not. Ultimately, I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. I walked away in tears because of the way I was treated. I scheduled an appointment at David's Bridal the same week, and expected similar treatment. However, it was far better. I had a private dressing room, consultants who were understanding, they provided proper undergarments, etc. read more

This place is AWFUL! I went there because I fell in love with a red wedding dress (Da Vinci 8220), and I made the two-hour drive there knowing what I wanted. I ordered the dress in a size 14. They told me that a size 16 was several inches too big for me and that a 14 was just about a half an inch too small, but a 14 would probably be fine and would be much, much cheaper to alter than to take in a 16. So, I believed them. Almost 7 months later, the dress comes in. I go to try it on, and I had even LOST about 10 lbs., and the dress was drastically too small. They told me that there was no way they could send the dress back, but that their seamstress would take out the zipper and make everything okay. Red fabric and all. They told me to come back in October and have the bustle put in and the laces put in. I called there yesterday at noon and left a message asking when my appointment was for today on their voicemail because they NEVER answer the phone. They NEVER called me back. I go there right when they open today (and I was about ten or fifteen minutes late because of terrible weather), and they call ME when I'm five minutes away to tell me that their seamstress is only there before the store opens and has already left. They told me I will have to reschedule. Not only do I live two hours away, but I am a medical student. I have no time to play phone tag and alterations games. So, not only did they order me a dress that is much, much too small and not offer to send it back and make it right, but they told me to wait until two months before my wedding so that they could alter it, and they failed to even have their own seamstress make this disaster right! They have now left me with absolutely no time to fix this disaster! This is not even an ivory or white dress that you can match easily with any old fabric and any old seamstress! I spent close to $800 on a dress I'll never be able to wear! read more

I have been in 3 weddings in the last year and have never had to spend so much on alterations as I did for this store's dress. When the dress arrived it was an entire 2 sizes too big and my seamstress said it was the most poorly made dress she had ever seen. After 2 calls and a threat to report them to the BBB if they did not refund my alterations costs (which were $96 for a $175 dress), there was no resolution. I now have a detailed pending claim with BBB. read more

I went to look at dresses here in August 2012. When I entered the store I heard the sales lady tell the girl whose appointment was before mine "you need to get out of the dress, your appointment time is up". This was the only store I went to that you were not allowed to browse the dresses. They pick which ones they think you would like. They also will not let you try the dress on yourself, they come in the dressing room with you, without asking if you would like help. In the middle of my appointment another bride came in to look for a veil, they were extremely rude to her, including saying "once you buy your dress we never want to see you again." Once I heard that I already decided I would not buy my dress here. They also borderline break the law by removing all designer tags on their dresses. When asked who made the dress I was told " I don't know, the computer knows, if you like the dress you like it, it doesn't matter who makes it." Which may be true, but if I decided to buy the dress I would want to know who made it! The dress I liked there I kept pressing to know who the designer was and she said "its a special designer who only designs for us." Which may or may not be true, I wasn't buying it. Then when I was leaving she told me "If you come back by tomorrow I will sell it for you for $100 less, then changed it to 5pm that day, it was already 2pm. Everywhere else I looked had set prices from the designer that they sold it for, which was the same price for that dress at each dress store I went to. I would not recommend this store to anyone for anything. read more

I had a great experience at Expressions on a Saturday a couple weeks ago! When I walked in, I saw my name (along with the other brides with appointments that day) written adorably in pink on a chalkboard. I was greeted by more than one associate. Denise was my consultant and she was wonderful! Marcy at the front desk was great too. Denise let me look around for styles I liked while she pulled several dresses in my size, budget, and preferred silhouette. Then, she and I went into the fitting room and she helped me put the different dresses on. When I walked out in my very first dress, everyone (including me) LOVED it. I ultimately purchased this dress, but at first I wasn't sure if I loved the dress because it was the one or if I loved it because it was the very first wedding dress I'd seen myself in. If I purchased the dress "off the rack", I would receive it at over 60% percent off. I tried on more nice dresses at Expressions, but none lived up to the first one. I already had an appointment scheduled at David's Bridal later that day and I still wanted to go. I wasn't nervous about leaving my favorite dress because the store was closing for the day in ten minutes and wouldn't open again until Monday at noon. Marcy had also told me that I could call Monday at noon and pay for it over the phone and have someone pick it up for me (as long as I gave them something in writing giving that person permission) since I live in Cincinnati now and wouldn't be able to be back there in person. I had a very poor and impersonal experience at David's and realized that I should go with my very first dress from Expressions when I woke up the next day thinking about it. I still felt that way when I woke up Monday morning, so I gave Expressions a call right at noon, like Marcy suggested and paid for the dress with my credit card over the phone and one of my bridesmaids, who is local, picked it up for me later that day. Overall, I was SO pleased with Denise's customer service and personality when I was trying on dresses and with Marcy's customer service as well. They really made me, and my family and friends feel comfortable with no pressure at all. I would strongly recommend this boutique to brides of all budgets! I was able to purchase the dress of my dreams from long distance at less than half of the original price! I just have to get about a half inch taken in on each side, but with all the money I saved on the dress, I don't mind at all! read more

Excellent, low pressure customer service. We began looking for a prom dress for my daughter a few weeks before the event. Although selections everywhere were limited, we were encouraged to come out to this store from the west side of Cleveland by a friendly sales associate. I had emailed the store about a specific dress and received a very prompt response. Although they did not have the exact dress we had found online, she took the time to check inventory before we drove out to find a similar dress in her size. Expressions even offered to find the dress she had seen online if that was the one she really wanted. We left the store with a beautiful dress and as an added bonus, the dress was 30% off. We had called and visited several other stores, including the nearest "mega-prom shop" and were told we started shopping too late. The "mega-prom store" did not even reply to my email. read more

I got my wedding dress here and I just picked it up today! The dress is stunning!!!! It is so beautiful and even better than I was expecting. I also want to point out how amazing the staff is as well; they are so wonderful, kind, and helpful. They were happy to help with picking out dresses and didn't even mind taking some off the window mannequins for me to try on where you could tell it would bother other consultants at other stores. Their dresses had a great variety in fabric, so you aren't stuck with any that don't work for your taste. They were not pushy and respected my opinion while trying on dresses. They did not make me try on anything I wasn't interested in and let me go through the store and pick out my favorites. I went to a few other places before Expressions and often felt like I was not being listened to, didn't always get to pull the dresses I wanted, and being pushed to trying on things I already knew would be a waste of time to try on. I am very picky and I know right away what I like and it's bothersome when that's not heard. I had absolutely none of these problems at Expressions. They were also happy to wait outside of the dressing room and only help when I had a dress on. Not all stores had consultants in the dressing room, but I did experience this at one store. It was really uncomfortable and negatively impacted my experience. I definitely appreciated Expressions giving me my privacy in the dressing room.
