This was my second time looking at Bridal gowns and I had the pleasure of working with Susan K. Who also helped my mom find her wedding dress for her wedding in January of 2022. We picked 4 dresses and I fell in love with 2 - of course choosing 1 for my special day. All the girls in the store were phenomenal and so nice. Everyone helped & made me feel like a million bucks - the managers & another expert all took time out of their day to help me decide on MY dress and for a super reasonable price I got an amazing gown! Not surprised at all this store is closed. Horrible experience from day 1. Picked out a Vera Wang gown for daughter's wedding available only online. Tried the one sample dress they had in the store and was told to order a size 2 sizes too large. I believe this was done on purpose so that I would have to pay for the alterations. How could the person who is supposed to know and advise on sizing get it that wrong? I'm going to go with that it generates more money for them. I had to return 3 times to have it finished, which was the Wednesday before the Saturday wedding. I had to pick up the dress, despite the fact that the finished product was taken in too much, resulting in a dreadful tight-fitting back and skin spilling over. Such a pretty dress that looked absolutely awful. I can't even stand to look at the pictures! I honestly think the salesperson (Lisa) might've had a personal problem that caused her to be zoned out, which might've played into the whole disaster. She actually saw me come back into the store after it was determined to be a problem, and came at me with a confrontational attitude. I think she knew she screwed up and thought she could intimidate me from saying anything. I did talk to the Manager on duty that day and he was more interested in supporting Lisa than understanding what an unmitigated disaster it was. All monies were paid to everyone, so he just didn't care. And he probably knew Corporate wouldn't do anything either (I saw customer complaints there too), so he felt comfortable just sending me on my way. They deserved to lose their jobs. read more

Before I got engaged I always said that I would give David's a shot even though they have such a bad rap. I was not disappointed. This was my first stop when searching for my wedding dress and my salesperson Tianna was excellent ! She was polite, helpful and patient. And while I did not buy my wedding dress here I am still in the market for my reception dress and I will be going back to David's. It's worth a shot. read more

Highly recommend you to request Tianna for any needs when it comes to your big day! Went in to try on bridemaid dresses on Sept 1st. Though we unfortunately did not have an appointment Tianna was able to help us. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and sweet. She gave suggestions on different dresses based upon our figures & was very attentive the whole time with helping to get another size or zip our dresses. She was named the clip queen by the end of our visit as well with helping us get a better visual of hoe the dress would look if we had to try on a larger size. Raul was also the manager on for the day and he was just at as helpful with any questions. Definitely a whole different experience vs. other visits within this store, but i am glad to say i will now be referring any friends that go to this location to work with Tianna or Raul. So for one it was super easy to book an appointment online. Right after I booked I got a courtesy phone call to confirm my appointment & to let me know some of the precautions they were taking during COVID. I was actually quite nervous of finding something since my wedding is in September & I was going solo to try to find my dress. I had the absolute sweetest stylist Aliza who listened to everything I was wanting and helped me find my wedding dress! I am very indecisive when it comes to choosing things & when I told her that I didn't know if I'd leave with a dress today she didn't make me feel like I had to. Which for me made shopping for a dress less stressful & ended up helping me find the one! Today, I said yes to the dress as maid of honor! David's Bridal had so many styles to choose from, in over 20 colors. My sister, the bride, was super picky (no slits, two straps, no lace, mesh, and the list goes on). And we found quite a few styles that fit her requirements in the same color. What really made our experience was Maggie, our attendant. She was fantastic; super attentive, accommodating, and simply smart, since she gave us a lot of ideas that we didn't think of. We went well over our appointment time, but she was still very patient with us. She wasn't pushy as a salesperson either. I've heard not so great things about David's Bridal in general before but this experience was wonderful and definitely changed my mind on the chain. read more

Completely horrible experience! Everything that was promised was a lie! Do not waste your time! Absolutely horrible experience! I went with my bridesmaids to pick out dresses. My sister bought hers that day and the others waited a few weeks and then wem we went ball we could get all of the dresses; We were told one was not available-when I was told I had until mid January to order them for my April wedding-Thanks God I didn't wait! Complete lack of communication or honesty from any of the sales associates and manager. I received a call from the District Manager who patronized me and basically told me that there was nothing she can do to help make this very unfortunate situation better. If you want your wedding to look like a "Birthday Party" or "Backyard Barbecue" then definitely shop with David's-If you would like the wedding of your dreams and a beautiful day-GO SOMEWHERE ELSE-THANK YOU DAVIDS FOR RUINING MY WEDDING Update-Customer service reached out and again no one was willing to make any effort to make this situation better. I had an amazing & stress free experience when I chose this store! I highly recommend this store for alterations. A month ago when I showed up to my appointment I made online, I realized that I had scheduled the wrong event, but Sabrina helped me! She took me back to get my bridesmaid dress fitted without an appointment. Sabrina was very helpful and professional! I've had dresses altered in the past but the dress that she altered fit like a glove, one of the best alterations I've seen! 10/10! read more

The enployees at this location are rude, inconsiderate, unprofessional, and down right trash! I bought a mother of the bride dress, and shoes, jewelry, Spanx, mother of the bride shirt, bride flip flops, bride and groom glasses, $40 alteration, and have been incompetent taking off sensor tags on my dress and the shirt! Also the associate didn't take off $40 for the special they were running for my dress!! I never would have gone back to this store if they did THIER job and taken the sensor tags off 2 items, and the $40!! While there the female manager was raising her voice to me, because I wanted to return the flip flops. They don't take returns from davids bridal! I simply stated I will NEVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE BECAUSE OF THE POOR SERVICE!! Almost everything you buy is final purchase, even flip flops!! This place created so much stress, especially when my daughters wedding is only days away!! I was being yelled at because of the return policy, and I was even called trash by the manager over and over again as I was leaving after the woman manager told the other employee to push the panic button for the police!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME? This is how they treat customers!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS BUSINESS!! I felt threatened, she motioned towards me in a threatening manner, and I told her I will react if she took one more step. REAL ALL! EDITED! We met with Angela for the first fitting for my wedding dress and she was beyond amazing! VERY STRONG EDIT: initially I wrote a very nice review, and gave this place five stars. I still stand by what I said about Angela. So this last Friday (10/11/19) I went in to pick up my dress. After putting it on, the dress did not seem like the length was hemmed at all. I was still stepping all over it etc. The associate who's name I did not get told me that that was normal. Why did i pay 400$ for alterations if I'm still going to be stepping on a dress that is all lace and will rip from stepping on it. So they said they would hem it more- and started to say they were going to charge me AGAIN to do a job that wasnt done right in the first place. THEN they tried telling me that I must have worn different shoes, or I was SLOUCHING during the initial alterations. Really? Mind you they had to take up another 4 INCHES. So they told me there was no one there Friday night competent enough to do the pinning for measuring, to come back saturday morning at 9am. Mind you, it is already 7pm at night, I live 3 hours away, my fiance had to work Saturday morning and now was going to have to loose a days pay because my son had a baseball game that I was now not going to be able to get to, plus Saturday was a bachelorette party, and we had to be at the spa 2 hours away by 12pm. On top of that, they couldnt necessarily guarentee my dress would be done by Sunday 10/13/19... even though my wedding is 10/19/19 and as of Monday 10/14 I would be out of state. Obviously I didnt have a choixe- so I went back Saturday morning at 9am. I was "greated" by lisa- store manager who gave me a huh- and I told her that I really was not happy because now my fiance is loosing a days pay. She told me that was not important. Not important? It is a week before our wedding- we have last minute things to pay for- loosing 500$ for a days work is actually VERY important. She then told me that I would be getting that money back. I asked her the full 500$? She laughed, said well no, but we will reimburse something when you pick up your dress tommorrow. I then went in for the alterations, which Miss. B was doing. For the most part she was very nice and quick knowing we had to leave. But then she also asked me if i wore different shoes, although brought up me slouching etc. She EVEN told me that i technically should have had alterations done 3 months before wedding, not 1 month before. Which I then needed to remind her that I made this appointment back in APRIL because I wanted alterations done before we went away in June- and I was advised to come in in September- that they recommend doing alterations as close to wedding as possible in case of weight loss/weight gain. EVERYTHING that came out of everyone's mouth in one way or another was accusing ME of there mess up, and not hemming the dress. Miss B even brought up the fact again that if I was tired during initial alterations, I could have been slouching which caused the hem to still be too long. I'm 5"3. I highly doubt I slouch 4 inches- and a GOOD seamstress would tell you to stand up straight cause you know, that's there job?!. Finally left there, and had to go back again this morning at 1230 to get dress. I will say that I am happy that the dress was complete and I do love my dress. But coincidentally the manager lisa was not working today- and no other employee new anything about a reimbursement. Figures if they lie about even doing alterations there gonna lie about trying to right there wrong. In the past 3 days I've spent a total of 15 HOURS driving to/from or being at this store because they had to lie about doing alterations that they were paid to do. I will never go back there, and I will be sure to reach out to corporate. From one bride to another I strongly recommend going somewhere else for alterations... it is the worse feeling in the world to think you may not have a wedding dress a week before your wedding. No wonder David's is filing chapter 11. read more

I had the best experience today, trying on wedding gowns for the first time! Tianna and Lisa made my experience so special, from start to finish. They made my bridal party feel included and made it such a special experience for all of us. They were so generous with their time and truly, truly cared. On top of everything, they didn't make me feel pressured. I tried on a dress that I adore, 3 times, but I decided not to purchase it today so I could sleep on it. Knowing that I was unsure, Tianna & Lisa still took the time to try out different belts and hair pieces to show me different options. Going dress shopping during a pandemic is definitely not what I envisioned. With the provisions the store had in place to only bring two guests along and to wear masks the whole time (understandably so!), I was afraid that I wouldn't get that bridal feeling since I couldn't see reactions and have everyone that I always envisioned be there. But Kristianna still made sure to give me all the feels and truly made me feel like a bride when I said yes to the dress! All the consultants were so friendly and helpful. I chose David's Bridal after my aunt had a good experience at one in PA. I regret choosing this store to buy my wedding dress and my bridesmaids. The service was horrible. My wedding is 8/1/16 and my one bridesmaids dress is still not in when it was supposed to arrive late June. My other bridesmaid dress came completely wrinkled which is unacceptable when you spend over $150 on it. They called me everyday until I came to pick my wedding gown up, when I came to get it, it was completely wrinkled and unwearable. When I talked to an associate about my all around negative experience there was no real resolution or sincere apology. I had yet to bring back the wrinkled bridesmaid dress to see if they will steam it. I'll update my review if they take care of that or not. So far I'm very unhappy with my experience and they have caused me unneeded stress right before my wedding. In response to the comment David's Bridal posted on Yelp: I did speak with the store Manager, Lisa. She was down right rude! She refused to steam my wedding dress unless I paid for alterations which I didn't need. She said it would cost $40 for them to give me my wedding dress wrinkle free. I had to call corporate and let them know the situation and they untimely had her steam the dress at no cost which is what should have been done in the first place! I am amazed at the lack of customer service this company has provided. I also want to add that went I was in the store to pick up my steamed dress Raul helped me and he was the most pleasant person I have dealt with at DB. My best friend and bride to be was shoved in a small room with no mirror. They didn't let her try on anything she wanted. Making her try on only $300 dresses. When she asked to try on Vera wang they said no that dress is $2,000. If only they would have asked her budget which was $2,000. They told her she had to have her hair up and bring on her wedding dress. They had her strip down and we're constantly opening up the curtain exposing her to the 3 men standing outside. After the ordeal we went through, I unfortunately must change my review. This has nothing to do with Tiana. She is still the best bridal consultant I have every interacted with. This has to do with the alterations department and the lack of concern or care management showed during the entire situation. I waited this long to change my review because I wanted to compose my thoughts and not be so consumed with anger that I didn't explain myself properly. My cousin (one of the bridesmaids) had a horrible experience. She went in for her first fitting and alterations had to be made. She went back for her second appointment. Everything looked good. As she was taking the dress off, the seam completely opened where the alterations had been made. They said they would fix it. My cousin lives quite a distance from the store and does not drive. She has two small children so travelling is difficult at best. They assured her it would be right and would be able to ship it to her. The wedding was about three weeks away. She received the dress a week before the wedding. When she tried it on, it was worse than the very first fitting. The waist was bubbled. The seam was not on her side, where it should have been. There was a huge gap in the bust. The belt was sewn in so that it didn't lay flat and was twisted. She had to go to work so I told her that I would call on her behalf. I spoke to the man who worked there. He kept saying that she could come back to the store. She lives two hours away. It is less than a week from the wedding. I stated that in light of the situation, we were asking for a refund. Not for the dress, just the alterations as it was clear we were going to have to go to a local shop to try and have the dress fixed. He said that if we went somewhere else, they were not responsible for the dress if it was ruined. It couldn't have gotten any worse!! He put me on hold and said he was getting the manager. He came back on the line and said she would not refund the money as we were not willing to return to have them fix it. In the end, the money for the alterations was refunded as we went above them to corporate. It's a shame it came to this. All dresses (bride, matron-of-honor, five bridesmaids, mother of bride, mother of groom), undergarments, and shoes were bought at David's. read more

I have been to this location (Mayslanding) several times for various events (proms, weddings, ect). Today experience was one of low standards compared to the previous visits. The service was poor today, especially when assigned to a sales associate to assist me. The sales associate assigned to me was barely around, and was still assisting other clients when assigned to me. If I did not look online for dresses before entering the store I would have been lost. The alterations associate eventually stepped in for the missing sales associate and was a great help! I ultimately ended up leaving the store with a dress due to the alterations associates help, but I was COMPLETELY turned off by the sales associate assigned to me. read more

I will never recommend this store to anyone! Do NOT be lured in by the lower prices or thinking that since they are a national chain it will work out for the wedding party. In 12/16 the store sold items with the understanding the line would be available for 4/17 wedding -WRONG!!! Didn't find out until 3 weeks later when the junior bridesmaid dress could not be found until May. The bride - passionate about the details- had to get involved and was treated very poorly. Under Complete DURESS they said we found a dress but you have to buy it by midnight tonite????WHAT!!!! Because my daughter didn't jump on the band wagon - SHE is now BANNED from this store! Ridiculous!! When I picked up the veils from store (mind you I have already spent $1000.00 in products) , Lisa the store manager smirked when I mentioned it. The bride was never vulgar simply upset! Their idea of customer service is nothing I have ever dealt with before. In all honesty - when the totally stressed out Bride called, if they had simply apologized for the misunderstanding and offered some form of discount, a garter or $20. bucks off shoes for each of the attendants, it would have been something. This was absolutely poor sales and customer service issue - not a bad customer issue; by the way - we still don't have the correct color green because it was a "new" color. Do yourself a favor and go to a smaller private salon that understands the real stresses of the bride and wedding. read more

My daughter made and appointment for her bridal party. When we arrived, we had to wait 20 minutes past our appointment time and all appointment slots are only one hour, after waiting 20 minutes our consultant approached us with such a standoff attitude, that made everyone in the bridal party feel like we were intruding on her time, mind you there was no one else in the store this was a Monday at 2pm. We were told in a rude tone as she began her introduction with first of all the only bridal party gowns we have are a small rack which she pointed to out dated dresses. My daughter was looking for black bridesmaid dresses as her wedding is a black-tie affair, which we explained. we were then informed that they only have the colors that we see. when I inquired that we saw the same dress in the store online, in a different color, I was told I was wrong but she would look anyway, she then took another 5 minutes to return with the dress only to confirm I was right it did come in other colors but not black. and suggested we stay with the dresses on the outdated rack. At which point the whole bridal told her no thanks and we would look elsewhere. with no thank you, goodbye or have a nice day we left the store. My daughter is still looking for her wedding gown after this consultation, we will think twice before returning to David's bridal. This was supposed to be a pleasant time, which turned into tears in the parking lot. read more

So happy we chose Davids' Bridal. My daughter and I were greeted by Breanna with a welcoming introduction and she got us started immediately. Amazing staff, Beautiful choices of wedding dresses from many designers including the Davids Bridal Collection. The staff was patient and kind, even with my 4 year old grandchild. We are so pleased, Thank You Breanna for insisting that we should look at few more dresses even when we thought we found the perfect dress. Because of Breann's further persistence my daughter was able to get the dress of her dreams. The customer service in this store sucks! The manager is the only reason I started getting into dresses as my mother an I planned on walking out. Yes I did set up an appointment and I wrote down about 10 dresses I had planned on trying on. The sales associate asked me if I had any and when \I handed her the post it note she told me to narrow it down to 3... I was upset then but I narrowed it down only for her to come back and ask me for my whole list as they did not have those 3 dresses in any sizes. She then tells me to start going through the racks myself to find something to put on... I did as I was told and after 15 minutes of searching for ANYTHING to try on I got frustrated and wanted to leave. The manager came over at this point and brought some dresses in the style I wanted to put on. The ended up not having 1 of the 10 dresses I wanted to try on. Every dress I put on they swore was the one. You could tell they just wanted a sale which I understand but this is a huge decision for me. Next comes terrible sale associate again trying to put a crown on my head after I told her more than once I will not be wearing a crown. I also told the manager and the associate I wanted to narrow my choice down to 3 dresses and come back with my fiance's family to pick the final dress. At the end of my time there they took the dress to the register and pretty much bullied me into buying one of the dresses that day. They told me it was considered a special order and I wouldn't be able to return it... I am not sure how a non-altered dress is a special order but whatever. Then they say it will be in the store for pick up in 3 months. I think this is great considering I don't get married til october and I don't want the dress sitting around my house all that long. Well the dress came in, in 3 weeks and they called to tell me I had 3 days to pick it up... I just paid over $800 for a dress and I live an hour away from this store... now I have to rush up there and pick up the dress I was forced into purchasing when I was not comfortable with it. Also I work 12 hour shifts and I rotate days that I work. I got lucky that I happened to be off the next day and was able to pick it up. I just really don't recommend going to this David's Bridal. And if you do find your dress there just go home and order it online where they actually take returns because my $800 dress is now $549 and it has only been 3 weeks.
