I'm getting married and I was having anxiety about picking a dress. I'm a bigger girl and I was worried about looking "fat". Irene was amazing! She brought me dresses exactly like I described and she didn't waste my time with dresses I specifically did not want. I ended up loving the 4th dress I tried on. The store manager Jean was amazing as well. She jumped in and helped whenever Irene was off picking dresses. As busy as the store was on a Sunday they never made me feel rushed and somehow made me feel like I was the only bride in there picking a dress. When I finally found "the dress" I honestly felt like the ladies helping me were apart of my bridal party going on the journey with me. Where can i start, Jean Manager, Mistie awesome sale person, friendly , helpful, knowledgeable staff. My daughter and i had a very positive experience at David's bridals in Modesto Calif. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! After a grueling day of wedding dress shopping we were greeted at David's Bridals with a friendly smile and a very pleasant, positive attitude sale girl name Mistie. Mistie was extremely helpful and knowledgeable of her product/inventory and shapes and sizes. She made my daughter feel special from the get go. A special thank you to Jean the Manager. Jean and her staff was awesome.Let me give you a few Examples : 1.About a week or two before the wedding we found that one of the veils that we bought had a tear and all we did was make a call to Jean and the new veil was brought to the store and sent to alterations , 2. We ordered the bridesmaid dresses and noticed that the there were different shades. We called Jean and she had all the dresses sent to her store from NY/Oregon etc and made sure that they were all the same. 3. one of the girls in the wedding party was 6' tall and the dress we chose only fit up to 5'7-5'8. being it was the fault of the sales girl for not tell us. Davids Bridal's amazing alteration staff was able to alter dress to fit and charged us nothing for the alteration. we also had 2 bridesmaids that needed to change their sizes due to loosing wt and pregnancy they were switched without a fuss. 4. As being the mother of the bride i could not decide on which dress i wanted to wear on that special day. i bought a dress from Davids and when it came in i did not like it on me so a asked to return dress and purchase another. They made an exception and allowed me to exchange dress for a different one. Lastly when my daughter went in for her alterations /final fitting the amazing staff made my daughter feel beautiful and like a princess. Ok so I have had a few encounters with David's bridal at this point and I will not recommend to anyone ever! The first time we went was the only time we got good service. That day we purchased my daughter's wedding dress. The associate was helpful and attentive. The next time I went was to size my other daughter for a bridesmaid dress. This time the service was not very good and the girl was not helpful. I did order her dress that day. The day I went to pick it up I had her try it on and it was too big. I had to walk all the way back to the front desk to get somebody to help me find it in a smaller size. Abandoned in the dressing rooms I still was not happy with the fit. I figured it was the best we were going to get. I went back again to find a vail and a belt for the brides dress. Unfortunately the service was not good that day either. We did manage to find what my daughter liked and proceeded to purchase it. I paid was told all sales are final and left the store.A short time later my daughter received a call telling her they had accidentally given us a discount and Now wanted us to pay the difference. We told the girl to have her manager call me back. I was pretty offended at getting a phone call like that the amount was not very significant. When I talk to them on the phone she was very condescending. I told her that she could either order it for me or just refund my money. She then told me she had to talk to her manager about that. They didn't even bother to have the real manager call me back. This is not a matter of money I have the money and will probably pay more someplace else for something better. I had a wonderful experience wedding dress shopping at David's Bridal. I am really surprised by the negative reviews. For my first appointment on Saturday morning I had Cecelia. She was very sweet and attentive. She made me feel totally comfortable and beautiful. I tried on five dresses and really liked two. I ended up purchasing the last dress I tried on. After an hour or two I started having regrets about my purchase. I had nightmares all night about the dress and woke up thinking I probably made a mistake. I went back the next morning feeling like they would hate having me back - a bride who cannot make up her mind. However, I had Evelyn who had an absolutely wonderful attitude about the whole thing. She didn't make me feel like I was wasting her time, got me to relax, and have fun. She bent over backwards to make sure I purchased the right dress and immediately knew my style and the cut that would look best. I tried on three contenders - the old dress, a new dress, and the other dress I liked from the day before. I went with the other dress from the day before. It has been a few hours and I do not have any regrets. The only thing I regret is having taken up so much of the staff's time. They could not have been nicer or more understanding. I cannot wait to send them a picture of me from my wedding day for their bridal wall. From the outside of the shop, it doesn't look like there is much, but this store has a ton of selection. I am planning on bringing my bridal party for their dresses as well. Tips: If you want to shop on the weekends, Sunday was less crowded. Make an appointment online and do your homework. (I swear I did despite the dress debacle.) If you like two dresses - try on the other one you like before deciding. Had I done that on Saturday, I know wouldn't have purchased the first dress at all. Had an appointment on a Sunday morning when they opened at 11am. There was about 20 people waiting for the store to open! DEFINETLY need to make an appointment if you come on a weekend. My assigned salesperson/consultant Valerie was AWESOME!!!! She kept the dresses coming as soon as I had one off and knew exactly what would work for my bridesmaid dress. I must have tried on 15 dresses in 40 minutes! I also forgot my shoes and she quickly found me ones to wear while trying on the dresses. My daughter set up an appointment to choose dresses for her bridesmaids and me, the mother of the bride. The woman took their measurements and found them dresses to try on. Although we had an hour and a half scheduled, the girls found dresses in about 40 minutes. When I asked what was available for the mother of the bride I was told, "Go look over there." And she shoed me away with her hand. She did not take my measurements or reserve me a room to try dresses on. She simply disappeared. I would never return to this store. I am glad I did not buy my daughter's gown here. Planning a wedding is joyous event. This experience certainly took the joy out of it. Horrible customer service. The moment I got there I felt rushed by the consultant, and she definitely made me feel like I was an inconvenience to her when I needed her to grab different dress options for me. These employees are so worried about their commission that they forget they are helping actual people, they only see the potential dollar signs. So sad. I purchased my wedding dress from here almost six years ago, so when my sister asked where she should look for a wedding dress of course I took her here! We had the pleasure of having Valeri assist us, and she was great at memorizing the styles my sister had picked out and made my sister feel comfortable. She went up and beyond and even found a dress that was on clearance that she thought my sister might like and it turned out to be "the one", which was very kind thoughtful and sincere since they work on commission. After I found a few dresses I liked I found a dressing room that got tidied up for me and then I was helped by Angela. SHE WAS AMAZING!!!! I love when staff are able to "hype" me up and let me tell you, I WAS HYPED UP and I ended saying "Yes to the Prom dress!" I just wanted to say that the staff at this location are very helpful and know how to put you at ease. I purchased my wedding dress in March and it came sooner then expected. I was so excited to receive my dress but once I opened the box I was disappointed at the state of my dress. It looked like a sample sale dress which I did not buy. I called the store and Kim was very helpful and reassured me that they would be able to fix it. I went into the store yesterday and one of the managers Kelly was there to assist me. She remembered me from last month when I purchased my dress. She was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do and what to tell corporate of the problem and fix it. Kelly said she would personally make sure that they get me the correct dress and in pristine condition! She was also able to give me an even more discount on the dress which made the hour long drive worth it! The customer at this David's bridal is excellent. I would also like to give Nathalie my dress consultant a big thank-you for making me feel good in my dress, being a plus size bride isn't easy but I'm at the gym everyday so I can look my best on my wedding day. This review is for KRISTIN, my stylist. Where to begin, she did such an amazing job helping me find my wedding dress. This was my second time searching, she took the time to ask me questions about the style of dress I was looking for and added suggestions. We must have tried on over 10 dresses, give it take and she held in there with me every step of the way. Had the most patience because I also had my 1 year old daughter with me in and out of the fitting room. She let me know what did and didn't look good on me, kept it 100% honest and I loved that. She wasn't there trying to just sell me the first dress I liked but she wanted to assure the dress I choose was the dress of my dreams. She's amazing! When I picked my dress up, she took time to check in with me to assure that everything was still alright. I would return to this location just to have Kristin assist me again. I went to David's Bridal in Plaza Parkway, to find a Mother of the Grooms dress, for my sons wedding. Brittany was my consultant.. what a breath of fresh air! Brittany listened to what I was looking for. She was kind, helpful, funny, personable and, just an all around professional young lady! I would encourage Brides, Mother's if the Brides, Mother's if the groom and any one else looking for a positive wedding dress experience! I went to Davids Bridal about a month ago to try on dresses and I was pleased with my overall experience. I went in not expecting to find a dress because this was the first place I went and first time I had tried on dresses but I found "the one!" I tried on about 10 dresses and the 3rd one I tried on I just fell in love with. I actually went under my budget so that's definitely a plus. The customer service was good and the woman that helped me was pretty attentive. she always made sure I had 3 dresses to try on and made me feel very comfortable. She was running back and forth in between me and a few other Appointments that ran long but with all the chaos going on I can't complain because I did find my dress and I always had a few dresses to choose from to try on. I had my grandmother, future mother inlaw, 9 yr old future step daughter and 1 yr old daughter with me and everyone enjoyed themselves and the whole experience of being there and helping me pick out my dress. everyone was treated nicely and respectfully. the dress that I tried on had the tiniest little red mark on the back of it that I didn't even notice and the woman that rang me up noticed it so she took it in back to have it cleaned. Well the mark wouldn't come off so they ordered me a brand new dress! I thought that was so nice of them to do. They could have just let me walk out of the store with the dress with the mark on it. I probably wouldn't have noticed it until my wedding when I was putting the dress on and probably would have thought I did it myself. Lol. These guys are a JOKE. The only reason they deserve even one star is because they did a good job taking care of me (the bride) when I came in to pick out dresses. When I brought my bridesmaids in it was a headache. Our consultant was rude and not helpful at all. She was also very pushy. Every time I called the store I was put on hold for at least 10 minutes. When I went to check on the status of my bridesmaids dresses I was told that they were not under my name ( which they were) and it took even longer to figure out what had happened to them. If I could give David's Bridal zero stars I would. My sister is getting married this May and her whole experience with this place has been terrible. For starters when she went to try on wedding dresses (and set an appointment ahead of time with the amount of people who will be with her) there were NO seats for any of us to sit and it was only Myself, my mom, my other sister and her dad. We ended up sitting on shelving where product was. It was not glamorous for my sister trying on her dress either she was placed into what they call a "bridesmaid dressing room" so she didn't get the full bridal experiment. Her consultant had no idea what she was talking about seemed to be like some girl off the street. They also pressured my sister into buying her wedding gown saying it would not come in till mid April-which it came in a short 9 days later (jan) she loves and looks beautiful in her dress but overall service and how they treat their customers is terrible. Then when we had gone in to try on bridesmaid dresses another day we had the same slow, unhelpful service. When my sister spoke the a manager they were very rude and did not offer to accommodate her in any way or even apologiZe for the unprofessionalism that was shown previously. They messed up her information on the computer and the list goes on and on. As far as selection and variety they don't have much to offer. I was not impressed and this place is very "cookie cutter" don't waste your time or money' go to Trudy's Brides in San Jose for a real princess experiment (I went there for my dress this last February and was so pleased) read more

I went to David's Bridal for the second time for my wedding dress on Jan 30th and I found THE perfect dress! Michelle helped me both times and she was awesome! She was so patient with me, even when I got the names of the different cuts and styles wrong. I had to have tried on 25+ dresses. All of the David's Bridal staff was very friendly and helpful. Brittany also help me out for a bit on the first night and the manager (forgot her name, oops!) was awesome too! She would check in and make sure that I was doing fine. They worked out great with the short notice of my wedding (3 months) and it's great that I can take the dress back in to get a different size within 30 days of receiving it. And its expected to be ready at the end of February! (With no alterations needed.) Overall, I had an awesome experience at David's Bridal. :) I'd also like to note that I got my senior prom dress from here two years ago and my sister got her wedding dress here last year. I went into David's Bridal today for my wedding in January. Our appointment was at 11am on a Sunday and while they were busy, it was not overwhelming. A good friend of mine just got married in October and did all her wedding attire through David's; based on her experience, I had to come and work with Mistie. Mistie was fabulous and listened very closely to what I liked, my bridesmaids liked, and my mom liked. After about 6 dresses, we found the one (gorgeous gown from Oleg Cassini's collection). I made an appointment to look at dresses for my upcoming wedding at David's, but didn't expect to find anything in my price range that would be perfect for my backyard bbq wedding. I'm a plus size girl, so trying on anything can be nerve-wracking. Misty not only made me feel comfortable and confidant, she pulled dresses that I wouldn't have ever thought of trying. She found my perfect dress and even picked out a beautiful birdcage veil to put the perfect finish on my look. I've never been so excited to ring a bell in my life! I came here last week with a party of 10 to look for a wedding dress for my sister in law. Our budget was relatively low, so I was nervous that we wouldn't be able to find a dress that would she love and still be within budget. However, I was completely wrong! I planned a very abrupt wedding and set the date for two months after I even decided to get married so I've been feeling rushed and the dress was what I thought was going to be the hardest thing for me. I only went in to maybe view a couple options, maybe get a feel for what I want. That was not what they had planned. I signed in, and was assigned a stylist. I had Kaitlin and she was amazing. She's talkative which eases you immediately and when I told her I didn't want a halter top she told me she'll bring me ones with sleeves but also bring me halters that can have sleeves added, just so I had more of a selection. She paid attention to my budget and refused to show me anything above it because she didn't want me liking it and then going over budget. It only took three dresses for me to find the one. David's bridal is terrible. They never have enough help. I went in to find a bridesmaid dress for my soon to be sister in law's wedding. The lady brought us different styles. I found my dress and ordered it. The dress came into the store and was ready. I needed to have it altered. I paid $80 in alterations to have the arms tightened and the length shortened. I came to pick up my dress when it was ready. It had a huge stain on it, tons of black hair, and lots of glitter on it. I'm sorry but either someone was very careless or rented out the dress I bought. I don't recommend this place for anything especially your wedding. The service is terrible and they make careless mistakes. They also ordered another girl in the wedding parties dress a size too small. When the bride asked to exchange it, they said no. Not good service and definitely not a company I would trust with a day as special as your wedding. :( read more

The dresses were beautiful that I tried on. The prices were decent. But the experience I wish would have been better it was way overwhelming with so many people you couldn't move around. I got placed in a corner with another bride to be and there was no room to really look at the dresses when trying on. My family had to stand through half the time I was there until chairs were available I only brought 4 people. There should be a limit on how many family members you can bring . Would have like to maybe be on the platform or somewhere to actually be able to move around. read more

My daughter has a wedding coming up in September and I already bought a dress for the occasion but my friend and I stopped into Davids bridal to see about an addition I was in need of to complete my wardrobe. I am so glad that I did. We met a wonderful stylist named Justine Billington who was very helpful, very informative and even though I did not have an appointment lead me in the right direction in looking at dresses that were available to me. I quickly came upon quite a few selections and tried them on. The very first dress I tried on was "the one" a perfect fit for this mother-of-the-bride. Justine along with my friend kept me on track and focused in what my goal was and without her help, guidance and knowledge in listening to her customers needs and wants the process would definitely of taken longer than it did. I appreciated her professionalism and welcoming demeanor even tho she had clients that she was tending to that had an appointment. Great experience! Mistie L. Was amazing. She has a great eye and I only tried on 2 dresses til I found the one! She has a great personality and I recommend her and David's bridal to everyone. My only problem is them trying to change my appointment times with my dress fitting and the bridesmaid fittings. The apt lady should have realized it when I told her I had 12 bridesmaids that it would take a little longer. Other than that great experience. read more
