My cousin, who is more like a sister to me, is getting married--God is good! She chose David's Bridal in Orange, and I'm so glad she did. The store is huge and filled with so many beautiful selections. Last week my nieces also went, and they had a great experience too--the service was wonderful and the dresses were absolutely beautiful. This week we were helped by Lyandra and Toni, and they were amazing! They were patient, kind, honest, and so helpful throughout the process. I walked in for ideas and I walked out with a dress! The staff was very welcoming on a busy day. Without an appointment they fit us in within 20 minutes, which gave my mom and I time to browse. We chose a few options on our own and then we met Taj to help me try them on. She was wonderful! Attentive, helpful and gave us some great advice and options, but also gave us plenty of space to discuss on our own. She helped us find a great veil and a cute crown. I have never felt more beautiful. Patrice was also very helpful squeezing us in and even finding the veil I chose at another store because the one I wanted was discontinued. My daughter's having planning a beach destination in only weeks......we went directly to David's Bridal as our first choice. When we entered the store we were greeted immediately.......with a smile and consideration........Akina was assigned to assist us and she was on point, informed, kind and professional. With her help 2 hours we able to assemble everything my daughter needed for her special day to make her feed prepared and beautiful. Akina followed my requests and also came with ideas subtly and without interference. Supplied us with several choices of gowns to choose from. The gown my daughter and I agreed on is a gorgeous DB Studio strapless, simple yet gorgeous, Betsy Johnson shoes, beautiful costume earrings and matching necklace set, flowing 6 foot long veil and accent diamond hair pins as a final touch.Guests were stopping with compliments my beautiful daughter in "her wedding gown", we then looked at each other at that moment agreed this is the dress! The ladies up front to help you buy a gown are great but I would never use their alterations dept again , we go to pick up the gowns when it was pre arranged but were told " oh we forgot you were coming then after 2 fittings thank heavens I went with the mother of the bride because even thought the seamstress said " she was so proud of her work " the hem dipped on both sides that I pointed out , it was so obvious I didn't know why she was so proud ! When she finally received her gown I saw it at the wedding and how they corrected it was horrible, they were supposed to tack my daughters appliqués we went to pick it up again a second time ( not ready the first time) they did nothing esp the hook and eye in the back they did not add or see it on there own read more

It's a heavy heart I write this, This specific David's Bridal needs an overhaul of staff, they need to get rid of multiple employees who are not engaged with being in the wedding industry. Both males who were there to assist women on their most exciting day, were for the lack of better words horrible, with poor customer service, nasty attitude rolling of the eyes and just hands off with helping. She noticed the vail was off white and it didn't match the color of her dress. The receipt says white vail which it was not. She went today to exchange the vail and was told that it's too late and she would have to buy another one to match her dress. She spoke to the manager and he would not give in. This is unprofessional and wrong in retail. There was nothing wrong with the vail and she wanted to exchange and they could have resold it with no loss of money. This was my first time ever shopping at David's Bridal and I was not dissatisfied one bit. Upon arrival, I had in my mind what type of gown I wanted and what style I wanted to wear. My mom and I were greeted by a wonderful young lady named Brianna, who quickly introduced herself and immediately showed us the gowns that we would need for our wedding we are attending. Within about ten minutes I found the perfect gown and I was so humbled by how kind Brianna was to help me look perfect in it. She was able to help get matching accessories and was very pleasant to work with. My mom was very happy to be helped as well, as she got her gown for the wedding and she got the proper needs for her dress. David's Bridal offers free ordering for any dress ordered so the customer can get a brand new dress from the warehouse and then offers an alteration appointment the same day of delivery. To say we were satisfied is beyond words. We are very relieved that we got our gowns and can not wait for the wedding. I've been to this David's location 3 times...once with my sister who was shopping for a wedding dress, the second time when she had a fitting for the dress she had purchased and a third time to buy myself a maid of honor dress. The first two visits I also tried on a few dresses for myself (hence my purchase during my third visit). My sister had some reservations about the saleslady who ended up helping her, but it worked out fine. She was a bit ditzy and unorganized, but pleasant enough. The entire staff seems to multitask depending on how busy the store is, therefore whoever is helping you in the dressing room may up and go to the front of the store to do some other task. My mom had to a help a poor girl who was practically abandoned in the dressing room and needed help zipping up the back of her dress. My mom was happy to zip her up and flag down a salesperson. The dresses are what you pay for...cheap. My sisters dress is a second dress for her destination wedding--so she wanted something cheap and easy to bring on an airplane. The dress itself is really nice...a one-shouldered deal with beading/bling on the bust area and a light, flowy bottom. Upon our second visit, when we went in to do her fitting, there was an outside section of the dress that separated from the body of the dress...yikes. The seamstress on duty fixed it while we waited and I think it turned out fine. Although, the dresses I tried on all had issues with the zippers, so I hope not to run into any issues on the day of the wedding! I ordered a $99 MOH dress with a $20 coupon...so $84 including tax...not bad for a dress I'll be in for a few hours. They also give you a $20 Shutterfly dot com coupon with purchase so you can order photos, cards, etc. Nice touch. Visited this store on Saturday 2/5. I was so excited to accompany my granddaughter on what I thought would be a wonderful experience. Was I ever surprised. It was an absolute shit show!! We had an appointment which we were told 1 hour with a stylist and a "private" fitting room. Far from the truth! Nothing was private! The fitting room was your norm, small, dresses hung everywhere, crowded and an absolute mess! There was absolutely no one on one as the "stylists" seemed to be going all over the place. It was clear that all that mattered is how many dresses can be sold in a day! NEVER will I recommend David's Bridal! I'd rather have my granddaughter spend more money elsewhere! Why shop anywhere for accessories? I decided to make an appointment before we came in to try on some accessories for my dress. I had already purchased a beautiful sample dress before in NYC. So we brought it with us, and had no problem brining it in, trying it on and using it as a bag drop for the accessories. That said, I came during the day, during the week (slower times) WITH an appointment every time. Would have given my experience with my wedding dress 5 stars. So yes, I am not a bride (who are and SHOULD BE given priority) and I came in on a Saturday afternoon without an appointment. I didn't expect to be showered with attention. However, not one single staff person said hello, asked if I needed help, OR said good bye to me on my way out! That's what really got me...there was a woman in the front behind the counter on my way out who looked right at me and said NOTHING, didn't even smile. I then also told Amy that I had seen a dress I was wanting to try on Instagram and she said they have not received it and did not have any time frame or indication of when they would. I figured, that is okay, I'll go with this one,I love it enough. However, the rest of the week, I kept thinking of that dress. Well on Tuesday night this week, I got the best voicemail ever from AMY saying that she was going through the new inventory and that she saw this dress that looked oddly similar to the dress I liked and she realized it was that dress and it was in my size. She called me to tell me and to offer to hold it for me to come in and try on before putting it on the floor, just in case I still wanted it. She took the time to remember my desire for the dress, she went out of her way and made sure I at least knew it came in. It's my dream dress. I am getting married Saturday (it is Monday night) and I do not have my dress or have confidence it will be done. I went in November (early) and it is August (mid) and still isn't done. I loved my experience getting the dress but GO TO A TAILOR. They botched my dress. July 22 I was supposed to pick up the dress. It is august 8 (my wedding aug 13) and I don't have the dress. I loved the dress when I said yes and wish I had the same dress day of because of how bad they screwed up. The also blamed me for picking this dress (even though I had a full appt there!!!). So, where do I begin with this "Bridal shop" review? Well, if you expect to walk in and get professional help with your wedding dress shopping, think again. You basically have to do everything on your own from picking what dress you want, to actually getting the dress on your body to try on. The staff at this place do nothing to help you in your selections. They don't tell you what works for your body, they wont explain different designers or help in explaining alterations or what can be done. They are just not friendly or knowledgeable in wedding gown shopping. They point you in the direction of a fitting room and your on your own!! Don't expect any help from anyone in this shop. Bring family and friends because they are the ones who will be zipping your dresses up! I actually came back a second time and made an appointment with the MANAGER to help with finding a dress. I walk in at 1:55pm and my appointment was 2:00pm (I received a reminder e-mail also a few days before from them) I was expecting to see the manager again since that is who I made the appointment with and valued her opinions and working with her. I come in and explain that I have a 2pm appointment with the manager and I'm told first that they don't see what dress I wanted to try on and then that the manager IS ON BRAKE?! Why would you take a "brake" when you have a scheduled appointment with a client? I have the e-mail stating the date and time of the appointment and to walk in and be told she's on brake? My time isn't valuable as well? SO I was stuck "Working with" the same inexperienced women again who was no help in finding a dress. All in all, don't go here if you do not know exactly what you want because they are no help!! You will pay more money at the small boutiques but you will get professional, kind, helpful staff who will guide you through the wedding dress experience. Horrible! I made an appointment for alterations and they started at least 30 mins late. Once I got in the einen was arguing with me about the way the dress rule was supposed to look and insulted the way my body looked in the dress. I bought my reception dress here. When I saw the White by Vera Wang line I thought they were stunning, and found them to be just as beautiful in person. My expectations were extremely low after reading all the terrible reviews, but my experience here was pretty painless. That's not to say it was perfect. I never got a call or email that my dress was in- when I called to check on it I was told they had shipped it to me a few days earlier since I'd come never to get it. How was I supposed to know it was there? The funniest part is that's about the only call I didn't get from them. I got calls about tux rentals, invites, and photographers all because I'd given David's Bridal my phone number. I got calls from a woman offering assistance after the wedding date had passed. Even after I ordered my dress I got phone calls asking if I wanted to make an appointment to try on dresses- I think they got confused because the dress I bought for my reception was actually a bridesmaid dress in ivory. But I didn't go to David's Bridal for the customer service. I don't need people fawning over me. If you're looking for a "Say Yes to the Dress" experience, go to Kleinfeld. The treatment my daughter received in the alteration department at the Orange, CT store was so bad we left the store. When we bought the dress, we were given a price for alterations, which were entered in the notes for her event. The store manager checked and said there were no notes, and the person who entered the notes doesn't work there anymore. She added that the prices for 2023 had gone up -- nothing she could do. The alterations were one-and-a-half times the price of the dress for a simple hem! My daughter had come up from Maryland to have her dress altered. She had made an appointment. The alterations lady said that she could maybe try one or two veils. That's it -- no time for more than that. We had brought my mom and my aunt, two women in their nineties, to see my daughter in her dress as they are not able to travel to the wedding. We were told two people in the fitting area -- no exceptions. We asked if we could move to one of the larger areas -- no. My daughter brought two pairs of shoes to try. The woman insisted on one pair and wouldn't hear of anything else. She insisted on a bustle. My daughter said she didn't want a bustle.... I could go on. What should have been a beautiful experience was an upsetting one for all involved. read more

My finacee bought a dress at David's Bridal 4 days after we got engaged and has regretted the decision ever since. Each dress she purchased was ordered in the wrong size. Sales women and alterations women repeatedly ordered incorrect sizes. Every incorrect order became a fight to exchange the dress for another size. After the 4th dress was incorrectly ordered, she had enough. She bought a dress elsewhere and I promised I would return the dress to David's Bridal and get her money back for it... Little did I know, David's Bridal is some kind of scheme to suck people in and kick them while they are down(right before their weddings no less). They double their credit card signatures as mini contracts which say ALL SALES FINAL. Of course, I never would have signed that, but my fiancee and mother-in-law didn't think twice about it. So after an exhaustive battle with many of the 200 managers that work at every David's Bridal store(none of which seems to manage much of anything), we finally received a corporate customer service number with a live person! However, they take about 48 hours to return a call, and simply regurgitate the company's ridiculous return policy. When coupled with what can be called the world's worst customer service, David's Bridal adds up to a consumer's nightmare. DO NOT GO THERE EVER! DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING THEY GIVE YOU! You will be treated like an annoyance from the minute you walk in, to the minute you walk out with your credit card/contract to forgo all your traditional rights as a consumer in hand. read more

The lady didn't pay me any attention and the bride next to be brought so many people it was intimidating to even walk out. My consultant didn't listen to any of my request and keep pushing dresses out of my budget. Needless to say I left. I drove straight from Danbury to Orange and WOW! these ladies we so nice. Just came back from my first fitting appointment there at the orange location. I had ordered my dress through the Norwalk location which is now closed , idk why, I had a great experience there. Brought in my bridesmaids for a fitting. They were never measured once. Our sales associate jumped around to different wedding parties rather than just catering to us. My information on my account couldn't have been more wrong. The color I had in mind was limited as far as ordering time and we needed it in a hurry, so I was willing to compromise. Not the associate. Brought over one dress to try, and only one more when I requested more options. I had to settle in the end for another two colors entirely and my maid of honor was hardly catered to at all. Also, you don't toss someone a clip and have the customer do it themselves. You assist in clipping the dress so it fits. My girls shouldn't be holding their dresses up for 20 minutes. When I'm in a bridal shop, I expect to be catered to from beginning to end. This didn't even remotely happen. Never coming back again and never recommending. read more

I came in unsure of what would look good on me and what would be appropriate for my destination wedding in DR. I initially purchased a beautiful gown but once I got home I realized it was too much taffeta and dress for a beach wedding and I needed to find something else. Tessa was PHENOMENAL because she knew exactly what I wanted event though I wasn't sure how to express it. She found the perfect gowns and I loved them and ended up buying the perfect dress that same night. The store was about to close and not once did she make me feel rushed. I walked in this place only for my friend. We had an appointment at 2 pm today to get bridesmaid dresses. We were told to look around and see what styles we liked in the color the bride chose. So we picked our dresses and we were shown one dressing room for five of us. I looked at the lady and said excuse me? We literally had to try on dresses together in one room. I asked why and she said because she is helping other ladies too. So they are overbooking on purpose for money, a total racket. I made an appointment to find a dress for my son's wedding. When I arrived, I was told my stylist would be with me shortly. She came and pointed me in the direction of the mother of the bride dresses and held up a few. She didn't ask me what I was looking for or help me think about what might look good on me. And when I asked if there was anything else, she pointed around the store but said that the other dresses were too young for me. She wasn't the least bit interested in helping me find anything. I came here on Saturday to shop for my wedding dress and my bridesmaid dresses. My family is in CT, so it was a good middle point that I could have my mom attend. I had a pleasant experience. Tessa was my stylist - she was great. She listened to what I had to say, and helped me pick the perfect dress. She added her own suggestions to my selections but wasn't pushy with anything. I could tell some of her questions/chit chat was "for the job" but I didn't mind. She was very nice and helped out a lot. She was also great in helping with my bridesmaids pick their sizes. Again she would always give her input, but was never pushy about anything and made the experience very comfortable. The dress I chose was supposed to be a clearance/off the rack dress, but luckily they were able to order it online for the same price and I have a brand new dress to pick up in December! (The dress I had tried on was a bit torn and dirty and had definitely been tried on A LOT) The selection of the store was great - lots of dresses and styles. Only negative about the store that I had - I know the weekends are a busy time, but the way they had the store set up was a bit awkward. I was paraded around all the other people in the store in my dress to show off to my party. I wish it was a bit more secluded and private. Also, when I first walked in, the people at the front didn't acknowledge me. I was still waiting on people in my party to arrive, but it was kind of a turn off that 3 people didn't say a word to me. I think 2 of them were in training and didn't know what they were supposed to do. Still, I was very happy with my experience and I would recommend others to try them as well.
