I went there for a mother of the bride dress. Most of the dresses were made of chiffon, and I didn't think they were that attractive on me. But then I found one made of brocade fabric and I loved it. It was about $300. The service was fine, I didn't have a stylist, just my husband and me looking at dresses. We were a walk in so that was okay. Overall, I liked the store and the people. Working with Davids Bridal years ago was always a great experience. However, the current Davids Bridal is a terrible experience for many reasons. Twice now, I have not been allowed to exchange a dress, even within the 30-day window. They always have some excuse and "explanation" as to why I'm outside of the 30 day return window. The 30 days in which you can return or exchange a dress, according to their policy, starts on the day that you PICK UP your dress. However, the first time, I was told that they could exchange it but only if they were the ones that would be doing the alterations. I have only ever used their alterations dept for my wedding dress. They are ridiculously expensive for even the smallest alterations. Last month, they told me I was outside of the return window when I in fact still had 5 days left. The manager told me that it was 30 days from the date that the dress is delivered. Not true! How can you start counting 30 days if I haven't even come in and picked up the dress yet? It wasn't in my possession for the first week and a half. Additionally, I was asked if I tried my dress on when I picked it up. I actually asked if I could, but they told me that it would fit the same as the dress I tried on in the store. So here I am, out over $300 for 2 dresses that I can't return because of lies I was told. Their associates and manager are also EXTREMELY rude! I don't do rude people; therefore, I no longer choose Davids Bridal. There are plenty of other stores that would love my business. On top of all that, the quality just isn't there anymore. They are just a big chain store pumping out as much product as possible in the cheapest way possible. Like I said, they used to be great. I have been in a wedding every summer for the last 4 years and there's been an issue every time! read more

In a sentence: I had a great shopping experience and a less than ideal fitting experience when I visited this David's Bridal store. The full story: my shopping experience (and first visit) took place back in the fall. I was a bridesmaid and was here with the entire bridal party. And we had a great time. The staff gave us helpful feedback as we finalized the colors of our dresses. They were also very helpful as we tried on many, MANY dresses (as we of course had to find ones that fit our bodies and our budgets). It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, and I think we all left feeling beautiful and happy with our purchases. Cut to months and months later; the dress was delivered during the winter and has been chilling in my apartment for months. It's time to bring it back for alterations (which HAD to be done on a weekday, by the way...because that's what people like me want to do: take time off from work to get a dress altered). And to my surprise, that appointment was TERRIBLE. Remember, the shopping appointment had been full of laughter. It had made me feel welcomed and like I deserved to be a beautiful bridesmaid. I found no warm and fuzzy feelings back in alterations, though. Everything I did was seemingly wrong and was another blemish on the staffers' day. For example, the woman who pinned my dress was grumpy that I didn't have a hair tie to pull my hair up. I even tried moving it out of her way a couple times and I got a very curt "no that's not better". Here's a thought: if this was a big deal, couldn't you lend me a hair tie? Maybe buy hair ties and keep them on standby for women who forget them, because that's...kind of a universal experience? The same woman was also upset that I would look down when I started turning for her to give her access to different parts of the dress. Look, I'm SORRY, but my dress was long and I am clumsy. I was very afraid I would step on it. So thanks for literally yelling at me and making my overall anxiety worse, lady. I left that appointment in tears, both because of the staffer's attitude and because standing in silence surrounded by mirrors gives you lots of time to stare at yourself and criticize everything you see in front of you. At no point during that appointment did I get reassurance that I was spending a LOT of money on something that would look good in the end. Instead, I got silence, except of course for when the staffer wanted to tell me I was doing something wrong. And so I left upset and wishing I'd never spent lots of money on my dress. In that moment I truly hated my purchase and regretted my decision to be a bridesmaid. The good news is that when I picked up the dress a month later, things went much more smoothly (although, again...had to take time from work to get the dress...). A woman who worked up front brought me back to alterations since the staff were busy. She got me in and out of the dress, and she said all the right things to make me feel happy and calm as I prepared for an outdoor wedding (where I'd be wearing a long dress and rain was in the forecast, because of course it was). And so, feeling much calmer (and once more appreciating my purchase), I was able to enjoy my bridesmaid experience. While my story ended on a high note, my overall David's Bridal experience - which stretched from September last year to April this year - has more or less guaranteed I will not be back in the future, nor will I recommend them. While the sales staff did a great job, alterations did not. That combined with the pricing for their products, plus the alterations expenses? And I personally can't justify bringing my wallet here a second time. There are better places to go for shopping and alterations alike. (Also, remember: I was offered no weekend availability for two out of my three pre-scheduled appointments. Sorry, but that's just ridiculous.) And so ends my long David's Bridal tale, folks. May your experience be better (you deserve it) and may the store do better with other shoppers in the future (it needs to). read more

A one-star is more than I wanted to give. My niece's experience was the absolute worst!! The "stylist" (apparently the only one that the Robinson store has) was absolutely unprofessional and rude. She was even training a new girl who knew nothing about making a bride feel special. The budget was $1500-$2000. The stylist started showing us gowns around $250 and also said " You should look at the clearance racks." I said she doesn't want a clearance gown. We pulled several gowns that we found on our own to get her started. The Appt was at 3 pm. The stylist at one point said you have 8 mins left...unbeknownst to us, the appts are only an hour long. After only trying on 5 dresses, the new girl was so slow getting the gowns on. My niece asked to try on the first gown again. The stylist said, " I already put that one back." We said she really liked the first one. Not knowing what my neice said about the 1st dress, because the stylist was never around. We asked if she wrote down the details of the first gown or if she could go get it, and she said no, "That's up to you to take a picture of the tag." ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! I can't believe any manager would let a bride be treated like this on her first appointment. ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING. Also, this stylist told the new employee that if someone comes in without an appointment, "just ignore them, since they probably won't be buying anything." Davids Bridal, your employees need some serious customer service training. We went to another bridal shop, and my niece was treated like a bride should be. We were there for 2 hours. read more

my mother called to make a reservation and the person she talked to told her that she was good to go, in the system and when we showed up today they were completely unprofessional they had no idea who she talked to, she wasnt in the system, AND to top it all off they said the dress would still be available and come to find out we come today and its gone???? even everything in her wedding colors were gone. terrible customer service. don't recommend. save yourself the stress. read more

I found my dress her so I thought alterations with them would be an easy process. 20 minutes into getting my dress on and taking measurements, they cancelled my appointment because they are under-staffed. Kim was a huge help and I found a great dress for my son's wedding at a great price. My only issue was that while waiting behind another woman in line for one of the 2 cash registers, an associate came over with another customer and tried to put her ahead of us in line. The woman ahead of me explained that the line ended behind me, so the associate and her customer took their place there. It was a long wait, but as soon as a register opened the associate behind me took her customer to the open register ahead of us. I have never been treated so rudely before. I almost put my dress back, but that would have been unfair to Kim. I sincerely hope management addresses this blatant disrespect and lack of customer service. read more

What a great experience! Wasn't sure what to expect with covid restrictions but David's seems to have it under control! Stacey was so nice to work with! You can tell she has a passion for her job. We were so surprised to find out our bride was her first bride!! Which made her dress selections and combinations of styles even more impressive! The first time we came here about a week ago i would have left a one star review. We had a not-so-great consultant who told us she was "tired" and "had to sit down". I left there extremely frustrated and felt like it was probably not the best first time dress experience i could have had. My whole party was extremely upset as well. However, i decided to go back in today and request a new consultant to try on a dress i liked from the session prior. My consultant today was Amanda and she was awesome. She was very patient. She even took the time to help us match the belt i chose with the perfect veil. She pinned the dress and even held it up for me so i could see what alterations would look like. Because of HER i found the dress i will get married in. Honestly, with the belt she picked and how she pinned it, i felt worlds different in this dress. I would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone who is looking for a caring and patient consultant who makes you feel at ease. She is an asset to the David's bridal team. read more

I purchased a dress from the Robinson store and was told I had 7 days from the time I picked it up to return for a refund. The dress took several months to come in and in the meantime I found another dress. I was told today my dress arrived and I canceled the order, never actual picking up the dress. I was told now that the policy is actually you only get store credit. I spoke to somewho would not work with me at all and practically hung up on me. I was just there this afternoon for an appointment and left in a ball of tears! Never have I experienced such poor customer service. I booked an appointment two weeks ago to come in today to begin my bridal gown search. I called prior to my appointment in regards to a specific dress that I found online and wanted to make sure they had for me to try on when I came. I've spent hours searching online to find the dress that would be the perfect one for my big day and was really excited about that dress specifically. When we came in for my appointment at 2 (the only time that worked for all 4 important women in my life), it was a mad house. Understandably since it is about to be prom season, however, I expected a little more effort on the part of the associate, Sarah, who was assigned to help me. When she introduced herself, we were looking for the dress I had planned on trying on and it happened to be in the clearance section which was a pleasant surprise for how amazing the dress was! She told me that I should stop looking at the other dresses in the clearance section and go start with the designer dresses up front. This is the first thing that turned me off. She never asked what I was looking for and never even asked me what size! Finally after my group had selected four dresses for me to begin with, I wanted to start with the dress I had been looking the most forward to! Unfortunately due to the mermaid shape (it was slightly too small to fit over my butt) and the fact that the dress was clearance, they didn't have any other sizes available to try on. The associate quite literally told me, "oh well, I guess it's just fate." And moved me on to the next dresses. I tried on all the other gowns and there was one that was Okay but when I told her I want to try the trumpet/mermaid style and that our theme was old Hollywood, and I listed out to her the details I wanted, ruffles, sparkle, feathers. No lace, no pearls, no rusching. EVERY SINGLE succeeding dress she brought me was lace and pearls and even after my mom spoke to her about her not actually pulling anything that I was asking for, she continued to pull lace and ball gowns covered in pearls and rusching like we said we didn't care for. I was made to feel like I didn't know what I wanted or how much I was willing to spend to get the right dress (I already have a large line of free and clear credit with David's so price is NOT an object for me). Overall, I, as well as my family, were absolutely disgusted by the entire situation and how poorly we were treated. I will NEVER Ave returning to the Robinson David's Bridal again and will instead, drive 30 minutes farther to do business with the amazing women out at the David's Bridal in Monroeville. Thank you David's in Robinson for making what was supposed to be a fun memory with the important women in my life absolute misery. Never again. read more

Amanda was a fantastic stylist, and so sweet. She listened to my style requests and found me my perfect dress. I am giving David's Bridal a low score based on my tailoring experience. I showed up on time however was rushed and was told they were double booked despite nobody else being there at the time. I accidentally looked down once and the tailor snapped at me that she would not start over if there was a mistaken because I wasn't still enough. Before the dress was even ordered I told the DB employee that I was newly pregnant and would expect to gain 10 lbs and carry my weight in my belly and breasts by the time of the wedding. I repeated myself multiple times that it felt tight at this time of the initial fitting and would still be gaining . When I went to pick up the dress 3 weeks before the wedding I had gained less than expected but the dress barely zipped up and will probably not zip up for the wedding, they wanted to charge me another $80 to add a strip of material. They made absolutely no attempt at customer service, lower the price, or give any kind of discount. They simply said "this is David Bridal's policy." I do feel that it is their mistake for not fitting me properly when I was very clear of my anticipated pregnancy weight gain. This cannot be the first time they have fit a pregnant bridesmaid. I wasn't expecting a free service, but any kind of discount or understanding would've been nice. I wish I had gone to an independent tailor! read more

I am a wedding planner and the owner of Forever Yes, Wedding Consulting. I was very thankful to the manager, Kim, and our consultant, Tara, for saving us from a dress disaster that occurred the evening before our event! We had a wedding dress emergency leaving us with NO DRESS less than 18hrs before the event and this team pulled through for us with only an hour before the store was closing. The manager and consultant kept smiles on their faces and were calm the entire time (even though the bride-to-be and myself were truly feeling the pressure and anxiety from the overall situation). They did not rush us to find just any dress - the consultant took the time to really hear what style was desired and was able to pull about 5 or 6 to try on when we found "the one." I returned the next day (after the event) to personally thank the team again when I met with another manager, Jessica, who was behind the scenes making sure everything would work out for us - even though she was (supposed to be) off work when we were the night before. I look forward to continuing to work with the team from David's Bridal in Robinson Twp and returning again to show them the gorgeous photos of the bride in her dress! read more

Though I didn't get my dress here, they did help me get my wedding shoes, and we're very helpful with that! The main staff is very friendly... HOWEVER. Their alterations department (at least as I'd December) can do with a series attitude check, to take a chip or two off their shoulders. I had bought my mom a dress for my wedding as a present, but the straps were too long and it needed alterations. I made in appointment with someone very nice (who evidently was Not at the appointment). The dress was one that you could wear a typical strapless bra with once alterations brought the straps to the correct height. So my mom brought it to the appointment. When we got there, there were two women working with us. Both gave off the "I'm seriously judging you right now" look. When my mom changed into her dress, they told her she should buy one of their corset bras (that they then forced her to try on). When she asked why, the older woman snapped at her with "You Know why. OBVIOUSLY I can still see you bra..."... They hadn't even pinned the straps to the correct length yet. She treated my mom as though she was an idiot. My mom didn't even Speak the rest of the appt. An appointment that was supposed to be a treat for her. Which the older woman spent literally glaring at us while her assistant finished the alterations. I spoke with the manager as we left, but I'm still not happy. I doubt anything came of it. Like the store, would recommend literally ANYWHERE ELSE for alterations though. read more

IF I COULD GIVE THIS BUSINESS A ZERO STAR RATUNG, I WOULD. A serious lack of client advocacy. The manager at this location defends offensive sales woman named Madison and promotes staff dishonesty. Blatantly calls clients liars, even though there were other witnesses to the offense. Madison did not lie once, but THREE different times about three different item pricings. We had specific requirements for religious practices and the staff at this site disrespected us as individuals, our religious practices, and we were told to "lower our standards" to conform to their selection of design. We came to David's through a recommendation and were persecuted, laughed at, made to feel small and inadequate! This was (put simply) religious discrimination, the promotion of dishonesty, and poor conduct. The only good thing about this place was the Alterations Specialist, Betty Medlen. She was amazing from start to finish. But because of these other two women, we're not even sure about having them do the alterations. Mandee helped me find the perfect dress today and I'm so excited! I brought my mom and sister to help me shop for wedding gowns and we all had such a fun time with her. I had a list of dresses I found online that I was interested in, but based on the things we said about one or two, Mandee went searching for dresses with certain characteristics. My mom actually found one she wanted me to try and Mandee already had it out. I wouldn't have found it or probably even chosen it, but when I tried it on, I knew it was The One. They are even shipping my dress to San Jose, CA for me so I can take care of alterations there. Mandee and the others at this David's Bridal made what could have been a stressful day into lots of fun! Very impressive! I would give a zero if I could. I went in an hour early for my appointment. I was told my appointment would be an hour. When it was time for my appointment I was only allowed to try on three dresses and my appointment was only 20 minutes. I was told I would need another appointment another day to try on any additional dresses. If I wanted to get a dress that day then it was one of the three. Edit: I reached out to April B at the requested link. She listened and allowed me to set another appointment to try on additional dresses and exchange my dress for another. Because of my bad experience at the Robinson store, I went to another location. I will be leaving a positive 5-star review for the other location in Ross Township. After my interaction with their customer service, I believe that they do care and want their customers to have a good experience. I do think that the staff from Robinson needs trained by the staff in Ross Township. read more

I had the absolute greatest experience ever here last week!! I had bought a dress in October but was unsure that it was THE one! So I went in on Monday to be greeted by the nicest girl, Caitlyn, working the welcome desk! I explained my situation and she told me that I could absolutely exchange my dress for a new one. I almost cried with joy!!! Such a relief! I then met Tara, the most fabulous dress fairy ever! I told her what kind of dress I was looking for and she appeared with the perfect dress. I put it on and just fell in love! I stood in this dress for probably half an hour! Definitely a perfect and fantastic experience at this store! I don't think I ever want to step foot into this store again. I spent almost $150 for alterations on a dress that I got on sale for $75. I expected the dress to be wearable after the alterations. In fact, I expected to love it. Well, the first time I was supposed to pick the dress up. The top of the dress wasn't right. I was given an appointment for two days later to pick up the dress. When I arrived the second time to pick it up, I was told to come back in 30 minutes. I couldn't come back, so I just took the dress and left. When I tried it on at home, the top of the dress still did not look right. It looks rather dumpy and definitely unwearable. I wish I never got that dress and definitely wish I had gone somewhere else for the alterations. read more

I was considering David's Bridal for purchasing my wedding dress, but no longer will be doing so. I went in to ask to make an appointment during a non busy time because I was not prepared to buy just yet, and simply wanted to see what the different cuts and styles looked like on my body type. I also stated that I wanted to be alone during my first visit as I am very self conscious. They would not allow me to make an appointment, and told me to come back when I'm ready with my family and friends. I'll be going to a different bridal shop that will actually let me shop the way I want to. Everyone has their own preferences on how to go about this. read more

I'm normally one that says people only complain when they have a bad experience. Well that's exactly what happened to me. I went here looking for affordable bridesmaid dresses, and came out with a bad experience. I took my MOH to try on dresses and the consultant that was assigned to us didn't help us at all. A few times we needed different sizes and she had gone off with another customer. I understand that she cannot predict when someone asks her for help but we made an appointment and it took her over 20 minutes to come ask if we needed anything. I asked her if they had a specific material, crepe. This material is a thicker material suited for fall/winter wedding compared to their chiffon material which it seemed like every dress was made out of. Our consultant went to ask a manager and the manager claimed she's never heard of that material before. I thought maybe it was more of an upscale material and I just didn't know. Come to check their website later on and there are a bunch of crepe dresses available online and in stores. Overall, I was displeased with my visit here and will probably be taking my business elsewhere. It seems to be that the employees may need educated on their products, and customer service. read more

Just wanted to say how wonderful my experience with alterations, and the store in general was. Bought my dress there and everyone was super helpful. When I shopped around for alterations I found David's Bridal to be one of the better prices. They would not let me leave the store until my dress was perfect. Everyone knew what they were talking about and knew how important it was for me to be happy. She was very patient with me, and was honest and enthusiastic through the whole process. I started out weary of davids bridal but decided to try them anyway because they have such a huge selection of sizes. I began in Virginia (where I live) and my appointment was kind of a dud at that particular store, although I did like one dress I tried on. My family is from Pennsylvania and that's where we are getting married, so I shopped for my dress via the davids in Robinson and I have to say that everyone that I dealt with (except one) was extremely professional and kind and they really went out of the way for me. I lost weight after I had already purchased my dress and they helped guide me towards getting my dress tofit the way I want it too. The managers Jessica and Ashley are some of the most professional, yet empathetic, managers I have ever run into anywhere! The entire store team actually made me feel very comfortable and safe with them, and never once Did i feel self conscious about my decision, something that cannot be said for many of the bridal shops i visited, 2 other davids included. I can't wait to wear my dress and I'm so thankful that I ignored everyone else's advice and gave Davids a shot. The only thing I might suggest is to hang on to all of your receipts and very carefully inspect and try on your dress before you cough up your cash, but that goes for any bridal shop, and its not a problem that I personally ran into here.
