I went there with an appointment to find a brides maid dress. I was completely ignored for a good 20 minutes. After someone finally came to me they told me to get started and someone would be there to help me along the way and give me more information right away. I tried on a bunch of dresses and found one I liked. Once someone finally decided to help me I found out only two dresses would be able to make it in time, and they only had one in stock. I obviously picked the only one I could. When I went to get alterations (another scheduled appointment) it took them, once again, another 20 minutes to see me. I had told them when the rehearsal dinner was, and explained I had to drive 4 hours to get there. They then scheduled me an appointment to pick it up at 1 pm(my dinner was at 5 and the drive was 4 hours). I asked if they could even possibly fit me in just a hour or two earlier and that was not possible at all. This store was horrible to deal with and I would rather drive to other locations than deal with them again. read more

Had a bridesmaid come in today to exchange her dress because color was wrong (not Syracuse fault) was my davids bridal in Tallahassee. But she came in to exchange her dress and the lady who helped her today was very rude to her like it was her fault for the problem when she already wasn't excited to have to come in and exchange her dress . From October until now I have not had any luck with good service from davids bridal . When your job is to deal with people you should probably like your job and have a better attitude especially when your working with brides and their bridal party they are coming in looking for their special day . I just picked up my wedding dress for my upcoming wedding in a month. My experience at David's couldn't have been better!!! I was EXTREMELY skeptical about their alterations department (solely based on other's experiences). After my dress came in I visited 3 different outside seamstresses, including a family friend, and was distraught and beside myself that all of them were going to charge me just as much for alterations as I paid for my dress. I was inconsolable! I returned to David's a desperate bride, in tears, ready to buy a whole new dress. As soon as I walked into alterations and explained my situation the first thing the seamstress did was hug me and tell me how sorry she was about my experience with the other seamstress. RIGHT?! She then proceed to shuffle me into the dressing room and told me to put on my dress. When I walked out she looked me over and said - "ok, what do you need fixed?" as if she saw nothing wrong with the dress to begin with. No tisking at me, no scolding me for buying a complicated dress, no telling me to go buy a new dress (like the other seamstresses). After I discussed with David's what I wanted done, they scanned the barcode on my dress and told me exactly how much all my alternations would cost right then and there! It came within a budget I was absolutely willing to pay! Since that day they have been nothing but kind, attentive, knowledgeable, and patient with me. My dress came out PERFECT top to bottom. Now - not all stores are going to be the same, but if you buy your dress from David's in Syracuse,take it from a skeptical bride - give their alterations a department a try before you totally knock it! **Shout out to Helen for being the most knowledgeable seamstress I have ever meet and a bad a$$ lady who knows her bussels!! Abby, Alyssa, and Alexandra were the best- the A team! Abby hit the nail on the head pulling dresses for me. She listened to my style and every gown she pulled fit me beautifully! They helped me narrow down my choices which made me feel at ease and not at all overwhelmed during the appointment. After reading all of the negative reviews, I was a bit hesitant to try David's. But, I'm on a budget, and I had found some dresses from the website that I really liked. That being said, I wrote down the style numbers of the dresses that I liked and went with my Mother, MOH, and 2 close friends. When I arrived at David's, I signed in (I did not have an appointment) and was told it was going to be a half hour wait or so (On a Sunday afternoon) and that I could browse through the dresses as I was waiting. I went through the store with my "entourage" and found some additional dresses and style numbers to add to my list. About 40 minutes or so after, a consultant came over to assist me. She was very nice, very apologetic about the wait (I'm a very "laid back" bride, so it didn't bother me), and asked me some questions as to what I was looking for, if I had anything particular I liked or didn't like, etc. She took my list of style numbers and selected the dresses for me and some dresses that I hadn't chosen but that she recommended based on my choices. She brought them for me to try (undergarment was provided as well- I would recommend taking someone that you are comfortable changing in front of with you to help you with the backs of the dresses) and was very patient as I tried them on and made my decision. She wasn't pushy in any way and was very attentive for how busy the store was and the fact that I did not have an appointment scheduled. I would recommend having an idea of a style that you like before you go, as it will save you a lot of time trying to find dresses. Also, be open to trying on things that you wouldn't necessarily choose! And third, like I said before, make sure to bring someone with you that you are comfortable with that can help get you in and out of the dresses. Overall, I am very happy with my experience at David's Bridal. I was able to find a beautiful dress, veil and shoes, (along with a wedding gown preservation kit for after the wedding) all for under $750! The service was good, and the dresses are nice- perfect for a bride on a budget, or someone who doesn't see the need to spend half their wedding budget on a dress. read more

I read multiple reviews regarding this Erie Blvd location so I went in thinking I'd get terrible service. First of all, whoever it is who answers the phone should stop, just stop. Worst customer service skills ever. The manager is NOT nice, and the entire operation is ridiculous, absolutely insane. The first time I went to DB to get a dress, the person who helped me was nice enough, and she seemed to really care if I got the dress I wanted without being pushy. The woman in alterations is wonderful. Now to my second visit wherein I was hoping to just exchange a black sash for a grey one. My receipt and old sash was taken by an associate who was helping someone else, so what does that mean? I saw her once, she told me to look at accessories and that she'd be back. She never returned. I walked around the store at least six times looking for her. None of the other associates seemed to care I was looking for her. I finally found her after 10 minutes of looking for her, and she's sitting at the register helping someone else. No one apologized, the manager was cranky because my exchange wasn't equal to the original purchase. I was so mad, I cried. For those of you who had a nice long time with a consultant, that's really nice for you, but I highly doubt it's the norm. The consultants seem to be double booked, and they are hardly professional- especially the manager! read more

My sister has been to this David's location three times in her search for a dress. Each time, a saleslady named Allison helped her. Allison asked my sister with each dress "what do you like about this dress, what would you change about this dress?" etc. She brought out dress after dress for the bride to try on. She was upbeat and happy, and worked really hard to help find the perfect dress. Allison was fun to work with, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I had wonderful service at David's Bridal in January of 2015. I called the night before and got an appointment with no hassle! I went that morning with my mom and was assigned a wonderful saleswoman, Sasha to help me. I found my dress very quickly and all the women were so helpful and kind while I was trying my dresses on. I had no issue with them & honestly wasn't even looking to buy my dress when I went in but the service was so wonderful I was convinced!! I had bought my wedding dress there back in 2007 and also a bridesmaid dress for my sisters wedding and now I just bought a second bridesmaid dress for my cousins wedding coming up they ordered they wrong size but quickly fixed it and ordered me the right size. And also got to get shoes for this wedding i would not normally wear. They gave me 10% discount on them because i saw them cheaper online but they were not in store. and they did not have the color i needed so had t order them. So they fixed everything i needed. I went to David's Bridal on 8/7/15 to look for a wedding dress for myself and bridesmaids dresses for my girls. I had already picked about 8 online I wanted to try on and did the same for my bridesmaids. I would recommend doing this. When I got there I filled out a paper with my wedding details on it and then waited for my consultant. Her name was Brandi. She forewarned me that she was working with another wedding party at the same time but would do her best. I pulled 3-4 dresses I wanted to try on and she pulled the rest that I had liked online. My sister helped me in and out of dresses. Brandi stopped by every now and then to check on us and bring me other dresses. When I picked the dress I wanted to buy Brandi brought me some veils and showed me what the dress would look like bustled. She wasn't as attentive when the bridesmaids were trying on dresses but I didn't really need her help. Overall it was a good experience. My dress should be in in about a month. Tonight was my first stop in wedding gown shopping and went in with an open mind. I had no intentions of committing to anything. I was a little scheptical and unsure. Abby was my stylist and helped me every step of the way. She asked questions and listened to my uncertainties. She had me try on a few dresses I thought I would be comfortable in, then had me try on a few that she picked. She made me feel comfortable and complimented different aspects of every gown. We went to David's bridal to get my teenage daughter her prom dress. They did a great job in helping her. The store was well lit and had a lot of room. I had an awesome time here and the ladies that helped me were amazing! Abby and Athena were so great. Abby actually picked a dress out for me that I said yes too! So sweet and the atmosphere was great! I want to put out there that I was one of those people who never wanted to step foot in this store because I always had thoughts of getting my dress elsewhere. I never intended on buying anything the day I went in. The plan was to just go and look to get a feel for what I wanted but I ended up finding the dress I'll be wearing down the isle and I couldn't be happier!! I tried on a total of 6 dresses and went with the last one I put on. I really couldn't of done it without the ladies I worked with, especially Abby. I tried on two dresses prior to finding "the one" and both dresses had separate elements that I liked.. She found a dress that meshed the two of those perfectly together and made it a unexpectedly successful night! My fiancé is in the military, and with moving where he is and short notice of things, I wasn't looking to spend a fortune. It worked out perfectly getting my dress here and it ended up being less than I expected. I received a discount on my veil because of a promotion going on and I even received an AWESOME goodie bag filled with wedding related things including coupons for wine & shutterfly! read more

I have had an absolutely amazing experience with David's Bridal Syracuse. The previous reviews are either from bridezillas, impatient people, or both. God forbid you wait 2 minutes at the front desk. Syracuse is a terrible busy place with a staff of women that actually care. They book bridal appointments every day but then on top of that, there's MANY people walking in with no appointment for bridal, special occasion, or just because. And they expect the same attention as appointment brides. Yes, the stylists have bad days. But so does anyone. It happens because we're human. So really, patience and appreciation goes a long way. I picked out a beautiful dress after 2 hours of trying with a very sweet girl. Then, I got pregnant and had to pick a better one for the bump. A different girl helped me and I had the exact same experience. Very pleased. All through ordering and alterations. Today was my last fitting and my dress was shipped to the area in getting married in (California) so that it would be one less thing I had to worry about. They did not have to do that for me! But they did because they truly care about their brides. Don't let grumpy people or a stupid and undeserved 2 star review keep you from there. They are wonderful people and I would go through them again!! You ladies keep it up. And thank you. read more

My experience at David's Bridal was not off to a good start. But then when Alexandra the assistant store manager stepped in to help, she found me the perfect dress! I explained to her exactly what I was looking for and the price range I wanted to stay in. Not only did she find me the perfect dress but it was the second one she brought that I fell in love with! By far one of the worst customer service experiences, specially for my Bridesmaids. I live in CA and got my dress from a David's Bridal in CO both stores I went to were ok. Nothing bad happened but not a fantastic bride to be experience either but this store in Syracuse was the worst. I won't bore with details. In short they don't know what they are doing and management will lie to cover up what you were told could happen and mistakes that were made. I would recommend going anywhere else! read more

Short version, beautiful dresses and great sales. horrible customer service! long version: My maid of honor and I went to look at dresses in the beggining of january. My wedding is in june., We went to a couple other smaller bridal shops first, tried on a couple of nice and cheap dresses but didn't want to commit to any of them. then we headed for David's bridal. Mind you I had been there years and years ago for a bridesmaid dress but never had to worry about the whole shopping experience as the bride already had picked what we were wearing.... So we walk into the door maybe a half hour after they opened during the week barely any other customer's their. and the one;s that were there were in the back being helped already while at least 4 or 5 other employees were up front. I walk up to the little desk by the doors and am kindly greeted by a woman asking me if she can help me with something. (great first impression but it all went downhill from there) I proceeded to fill the woman in on what I was looking for in a dress. Nothing extravagant but I wanted a sweetheart neckline. she begin's to type on her computer and asks me if I have an appointment. I told her no and she immediately stopped typing and gave us a 'well what do you want from me then' look. and then rudely said "well go ahead and browse then".... I get it they prefer you make an appointment, but it's not required in order to get someone to point you in the right direction of a dress you might like right? I didn't even want a stylist to help me pick one or someone to help me put them on. that's what my maid of honor was there for.... Any way feeling a bit irritated by her rudeness, we went to the clearance rack and started looking around on our own. We saw a few dresses I liked and then there it was. It was like it was made for me! It was THE dress. I knew it before i tried it on. So we snatch it up and head towards the dressing rooms. common knowledge says you need an employee to let you in a dressing room at any store so we began to look for one. The only one not busy was the woman from the front desk who was actively and noticeably trying to avoid us and dissapeared into the back. So we helped ourselves to a dressing room decided it was definately the one and proceeded to the checkout to find out what we could do as far as payment options. After an extremely long wait in line (3 people behind the desk only one of them working and answering phones while the other's chit chatted) we finally were gretted with a kind and helpful woman. we set up a layaway an were on our way... week's ago I called them up to try and make my full payment over the phone. I had been having issue's with my bank card all day long but thought they had fixed the issue. to my embarrassment they did not. I explained the issue to the woman on the phone and asked if they could have my dress ready (it needed a few minor repairs) in two day's and I would be there with full payment. She asked me to hold while she asked a manager if that was ok and came back comfirming that they would have it ready. 2 day's later I go in make my full payment they bring the dress out bag it up, don't even show it to me or ask if i want to try it on. so I asked if the repairs were all done and if I could look to be sure. the woman seemed irritated but sorry chick It's my money my wedding dress and your job.So she looks at the alterations slip and says "oh, well It's been signed so must be they did it." she unwraps the dress asks me what needed to be repaired and when I told her she realized the repairs had NOT been done.she appologizes and asks me to come back in one week on monday the 22nd and it will be ready for me. I agree and head back home (a 45 minute drive btw) about half way home AI realize she didnt give me a receipt. But I figured it would be ok as I had my layaway receipt with all the info on it and it would be in the computer that I payed. So this past monday I arrive at 12pm to pick up my dress. 3 confused and unknowlageable employees and an hour wait at the desk later I am informed that the person from last week was supposed to have told me to come at 5pm. she never did. alsowhile waiting for them to "find" my dress I was expressing my disatisfaction with the service I'd received to a manager. she proceeded to try to make me feel like it was all my fault!!!! well after the "miscomunication" issue she decided to compensate me by offering to ship my dress to me for free wich mean's I will be waiting even longer for it now and I won;t be able to inspect it or try it on before it leaves the store.... I will update when/if I receive my dress. Never shopping there again and will be taking my dress elsewhere for any further alterations read more

I purchased my wedding gown on May 24th from the Syracuse, NY store. On that day, I also ordered a fit and flare slip, corset bra, and veil. This past weekend, Saturday June 27, I went back to the Syracuse store to try on my dress (which had been fixed in alterations and looks great) as well as to shop for bridesmaid dresses. I was accompanied by my mom, future mother-in-law, and two of my bridesmaids. I made an appointment ahead of time and was assigned a stylist, but she was also working with two other groups and barely had any time to help us. We ended up pulling our own dresses, asking other stylists questions about fit, availability and colors, and basically worked without the help of a stylist - which was not awful but frustrating, since I had made an appointment and several other customers in the store had not. When it came time to try my dress on, I put on the corset bra that I had ordered and it did NOT fit-it was not the bra that I had tried on in the store on 5/24 during my initial shopping experience, and it made my dress look horrible. We took the bra off, and my dress fit like it had the first time. Our stylist, Donna, told my mother and I that the manager, William, would be more than happy to refund us the money since the bra we'd ordered was the incorrect style. After we were finished shopping, we went up to the cash register and spoke to William, who briskly informed us that all sales are final and he could not offer a refund. When I explained what happened - that the bra I had tried on initially was not this particular style, and I thought that perhaps I had tried on an old style of bra that they no longer carry - he interrupted me several times, telling me that he "has to follow the rules." My mother and I very calmly tried to speak to him about our options, but William continued to get more defensive and aggravated (which I can relate to, as I was the manager of a retail store previously and know how frustrating encounters like this can be!) He informed us that our only option was to take a store credit, and that we had to use it that same day or we'd "lose it." I calmly explained that I was not prepared to continue shopping and that I'd appreciate it if he could extend the timeline in which I could use my credit. He got even more defensive, but agreed to extend my timeline to the end of this week so that I could come back and shop around at my convenience, which I appreciated.After coming to a disappointing 'resolution' (for lack of a better term) to the situation with the corset bra, I asked if William would kindly give me three color swatches instead of making me purchase them, since we had been inconvenienced. The total for the swatches was $3.12. He loudly replied, "I cannot give things away for free!" I proceeded to pay for the swatches - and then William handed me a $20 gift card for Shutterfly. Why would he comment that he can't give things away for free and then hand me a gift card? I understand that the gift card more than likely doesn't cost the store any money, which is why he didn't hesitate to give it away, but the appropriate gesture would have been to give me the three swatches free of charge and apologize for the inconvenience. William was not only unprofessional during this encounter, but when I went to the ladies room earlier (which was disgusting and in dire need of attention) I overheard him speaking to an associate in the hall across from the restroom about a customer - he was being rude and derogatory and completely unprofessional! I was surprised to find out that the man I'd heard and seen speaking that way earlier was the store manager! My overall experience with the Syracuse store up to now has not been horrible; I found a dress that I love and we will more than likely purchase bridesmaid gowns and mother of the bride gowns there as well. However, I am shocked at the lack of professionalism on behalf of the store manager, the lack of organization (no one knew what stylist was working with me, which rooms to go in, where certain dresses were, what sizes they came in, etc.) and the overall appearance of the store. The shoe area was also a disaster (no one could help me find a pair in my size to try with my dress, and I wasn't about to dig through the piles of shoes to find one). If you expect shoppers to essentially fend for themselves due to a lack of available stylists and organization, then I would expect that dresses would be hung in some sort of order, on hangers (instead of haphazardly thrown on racks and slipped on to hangers) so that we could find what we were looking for. I've worked in retail - so I know how it goes, and I empathize with William as the manager of a busy store. However, shopping for a wedding dress is an emotional, sometimes overwhelming experience. I chose David's Bridal because I'd heard great thing about the dress selection and service, and imagine my disappointment when I did not have that same experience. read more

We visited David's Bridal on 12/27/15 and had a wonderful experience. Like many others, I was skeptical about getting a dress here at first. While it was very busy and our consultant Alissa had to split her time, we didn't feel neglected in any way. I was amazed at her ability to handle more than one bride at a time. She listened carefully to my preferences and pulled fantastic options, helping us narrow down to a dress that we ultimately purchased. Alissa was able to multitask, staying friendly and calm in an otherwise hectic environment. Our overall experience was positive and we think it had everything to do with our consultant. Our bridal consultant, Abbey, went above and beyond in finding the most perfect wedding gown for our daughter. When our daughter told her that she wanted a soft look, Abbey brought her a gown that was absolutely breathtaking. Rachel,( supervisor,) also assisted in helping find the veil that made the gown complete. I am totally impressed with the time and care they took to make this once in a lifetime experience one that she will cherish. Thank you Abbey and Rachel for staying past closing so that their customers were totally satisfied. We will definitely be back for the bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses. read more

Update: Yesterday I went to pick up my dress. Initially I was very happy. The dress came in so quickly. But when the dress came out, it was in a clear plastic bag despite the sales woman (who never gave her name) knowing it was for a bride. My future husband was with me and has now seen the dress. I realize that I did not buy a traditional long white gown, but as the saleswoman wrote down my name and the word "Bride" on a sticky note, I should've been treated like every other bride at David's. Two other women were picking up dresses that day, one for herself and one for her daughter. Each of those women took home dresses in white zippered bags. I felt a little humiliated and honestly very upset. Not only was I not treated like a bride, but also now my future husband has seen what my dress is. The element of surprise and magic is gone. If I hadn't already bought my undergarments from David's, I would have bought somewhere else. I am very upset. If it weren't for my first positive experience with the wonderful Abby, I would give less stars. read more

Hi we went to this location of David's yesterday and had a great experience! We had an appt for noon unfortunately due to unexpected construction we were about a half hour later than our appt we called and were accommodated when we were able to get there which was great! Our associate we worked with was Abby and she was fantastic the wedding is about two months away so she helped our bride find perfect dresses in her size that totally fit and need very little alterations! She also included the brides daughter to help pick and retrieve the dresses she was beyond excited! Myself and the other two bridesmaids and mother of bride all found dresses the same day off rack in our sizes too. Overall we had a great experience only complaint we had was would be nice if had water avail as we were there about 3 ish hours and so thirsty and maybe to have more people to cash out in front. read more

Every store is just the same. Only one girl out of my whole bridal party was helped the way she should be. When you go to get a wedding dress or a bridesmaids dress you think the girls there would do their job and help you. When I got my wedding dress my sister mostly helped me. I completely understand they help another client as well but to barely see her was hard when there were so many dresses we needed help with. As for bridesmaids dresses we barely got helped! Two of my girls who we made appointments for never had a single person come over and help them. That's where I had had to step in. Such poor service especially when it comes to picking your dress up 7 days after it comes in. Do you not realize people have lives? And some stores are over an hour away for some people? Should of gone else where. Won't make that mistake again. read more

Literally the worst service. My bridesmaids tried on their dresses here and one of them ended up ordering from this specific store and it was a horrible experience. The woman that helped us was running around everywhere, which I understood because they were busy, but when she measured them, she told them to get a larger size because the dresses were "worn in". My girls were swimming in them so we ordered their right sizes instead and they ended up fitting fine... ONCE WE GOT THEM. My maid of honor was the first and only one to order her dress from this location and it took the maximum amount of time to get there when my other brides maids ordered from a different location later on and got it within 1-2 weeks. A couple weeks after my brides maids got their dresses, my MOH called to check on her dress and all she got was attitude and was told not to call again until the latest ship date. AND the girls here ended up ordering the wrong dress! So we waited almost 3 months for this dress after the other 3 weeks to get the right dress in. Even them doing the exchange was a nightmare. We ended up getting passed around from worker to worker. The girl originally helping us after bringing out the dress we didn't even order passed us off to another worker without letting us know what was happening and started helping another customer. We finally went back up to the counter and another worker told us that we were all set and they exchanged the dress without us knowing and told us it would another 3 weeks. And that was all just one bridesmaid.. needless to say I won't be ordering anything from here again. read more

I recently visited this location to try on dresses for my sisters wedding. From the product side, I found exactly what I was looking for even though it took me a few visits. My dress specialist was very effective and helped me until I found what I needed. As I stepped out of my dressing room to show my specialist and friends the style I decided on, I overheard two women discussing how they disliked an employee and were going to get them fired so they wouldn't have to deal with them. I thought that it may have been two other customers but as I looked behind me, I saw that it was a black lady with long hair and a Caucasian lady. I turned to my specialist and asked her if she heard what I heard, she did. She then told me that they were managers, Abby and Rachael. And that that kind of thing wasn't new and they do and say whatever they want to without any repercussions. I was shocked. By what I overheard, I already know the culture of this place... Just petty. Grow up. Definitely will not support a business that condones this kind of behavior especially from those who are suppose to be setting an example. No wonder why the company had to go bankrupt; just poor management all the way around. Decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

Today I went to David's Bridal to look for a wedding dress for my wedding in September. I was quite skeptical because of the poor reviews on Yelp and had already ordered a dress online (that I'm thankfully able to return). My goal was not to find a dress, but rather what styles I do or do not pull off. I checked in a few minutes late and was asked to look at their new dresses close by while waiting for a stylist. This was probably the worst part of my experience - and it wasn't even bad. They were packed so we waited for about 20 minutes. We were greeted with Ally, who was our stylist. Ally took my measurements, found me dresses from my "favorites" that I saved online, and was constantly checking on me - despite being so busy. With each dress she asked me what I liked and didn't like and then returned with more dresses. She brought me a dress - a dress I would have never even thought about trying on and boy it was perfect! She was so great and I am forever grateful that she found this dress for me! She also found matching headpieces and wasn't pushy at all. I am truly so happy I had her as my stylist. She really made my experience. Looking forward to booking an appointment with her for my bridesmaids dresses! Thank you, Ally! I cannot express how much I appreciated you today! read more

I'm only giving this a star because I am required to in order to continue. I would NOT recommend this store to anyone. Upon arriving at the store to help my sister find a dress, we were not let in until at least 5 minutes after the stores designated opening time (during this time staff members were still arriving). When we were finally let in (late) not 1 single staff member even said hello, let alone acknowledged that we existed. They seemed very unprepared as we continued to wait at the "greeting station" where still no 1 even said a word to us. When we were finally able to get my sister a fitting room (YES we had an appointment)...we saw her consultant maybe 3 times. My mom helped my sister get in & out of the dresses. We were told the consultant had a bride who had recently purchased a dress (days ago) & wanted to show it to someone. Needless to say she did NOT purchase her dress here. Due to the bridal party living in all different directions we were forced to meet at this location again to try bridesmaid dresses. Once again when we arrived not 1 single person said a word to us (YES we had an appointment & this time it was in the afternoon). My sister waited an unreasonable amount of time to check in while the rest of us looked for dresses on the racks. She finally gave up after once again not a single person acknowledged she was even standing there. We got fitting rooms & tried on our dresses where thanks again my mom helped us in & out, zipped, & found different sizes for each of us bridesmaids. I saw the consultant who was supposed to be working with us once for 5 seconds as she passed through. When we were ready to purchase the dresses we all decided on, we obviously had a new staff member who had no idea what she was doing. She called for assistance & still no 1 seemed to know what they were doing. It was a very unprofessional performance especially on what I think was a manager when she arrived to help said "what did you want?" & proceeded to do absolutely nothing to help the staff member out. No 1 really apologized for the extremely long check out processes & all of us left uneasy that we even had purchased the correct dress. The wedding planning process is stressful enough I would tell all brides & bridesmaids to do themselves a favor & avoid David's Bridal all together (especially this location)! read more

I would actually give this location 0 stars if I could. Not only was no one helpful they seemed to not even know how to check people out once they purchased. The only reason I went to this location is at the brides request do to her bridesmaids being from different places. Once my dress came in I needed to call more than once to remind them to ship the dress and was told it was still in the back after sitting there for a week. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I have been to locations closer to Buffalo and had much better experiences. read more

The moment i walked in the door, i was greeted and set up with my stylist. Abby was fantastic, as was Laurie, the girl being trained. They asked the right questions from the beginning so they knew exactly what i wanted. Abby found the perfect sash to accent my dresses; she knew the exact veil to pick to complete the look. Every dress she pulled was beautiful, but THE dress was her pick. As she was pulling them, she checked the clearance rack too, but asked me if I minded before showing them to me. Of course i didn't mind, but just her asking was very thoughtful because I am sure there are girls out there who may have been offended.... This shows she was more concerned with me and not the sale. Because i am self concious in strapless dresses, Abby also pulled the perfect straps to go with the dresses I liked. She was just amazing. She even checked with the seamstress about one dress that needed modesty panels, which she brought out to show how they would look if i chose that dress. The dresses were all gorgeous, and they had them in plenty of sizes so i could actually see what i will look like on my wedding day, not like other shops where they only had dresses in the smaller sizes (I'm a 14), and i had to imagine what i might look like. I would recommend Abby at David's Bridal for anyone who needs the perefct dress/gown for any occasion.. We will be back for my MOH dress soon!!!! read more

David's Bridal Photography - Class Action "Nightmare" is the most appropriate and fair description I can surmise after the ordeal of dealing with DB Photography. As of today it has been *8months and five days* since our wedding and we have yet to receive our prints or photobooks. We met with one of the bridal specialists in our Syracuse, NY store. She clearly outlined the available packages and advised us of some of the unusual practices DBP uses that keeps costs down. Several weeks later our photographer, Lee, called us. Instead of feeling assured and excited about working with him, we were filled with anxiety and dread which was only heightened after he shared his person website so we could see examples of his work. On our wedding day Lee arrived on time; this is the extent of the "positives" I can share. Instead of "running the show" and establishing rapport as a good photographer should, instead of being a source of calm and professionalism, instead of helping me and my wedding party & family enjoy our last few minutes together as I dressed and made final touches, Lee twittered about exuding anxiety and insecurity like a nervous butterfly. He offended or upset literally everyone in the room and was cause for extreme stress at a time when nerves were already taut and on edge. His behavior was equally obnoxious and strange throughout the wedding and reception. He failed to capture the shots we had requested and did not scout out the venue ahead of time, so our posed pictures basically look like jokes from the Ellen Show. The nightmare only continues- we were horrified and insulted by the proofs we received, several weeks late. David's Bridal Photography is extremely difficult to work with given their "corporate layers" of Event Coordinators, Managers, and Directors. While they make a beautiful show of leading you to believe they will provide you with one to one service before, during, and after your event, the fact is they will not.
