I called a few house cleaning services in the Ventura and Oxnard area and the cost seemed steep for what I was getting. I reached out to David on yelp and then discussed the questions I had about the services and pricing. A week or so later the crew arrived at my apartment for a deep clean. They did an amazing job. I scheduled them to come every 3 weeks for regular cleanings and have been really happy with their work. I'm really particular about cleaning and the crew each time they leave, I feel like I'm in a new apartment. Hired them for a last minute deep clean before we moved in. Paid $700 for a 2900 sq ft house that the prior tenants had done a pretty good job cleaning before they left. David's did a pretty poor job overall. Lots of missed details and dusting and their price did not include appliances. I'd been happy with David's House Cleaning for at least a year now, but recently they've really gone above and beyond. My new cleaning crew, Carmen and Enrique, are fantastic, hard working, and so thoughtful. I've been recovering from an injury and let me tell you - when you're on crutches, your house really tends to fall apart! Not only did Carmen and Enrique do an amazing job spiffing our whole townhouse up - floors, counters, 2 br and 2.5 baths - but while I waited for my husband to whisk me and our dog away while they cleaned, both Carmen and Enrique made sure to let me know that they'd be happy to help if I needed anything at all. This is a custodial service, NOT HOUSEKEEPING. He will Not do: DISHES or make beds. My understanding of what they do is that they want everything put away, and only want to wipe down counters and mop floors. For that, they charge you 135.00 To me this business seems much like they do not want to get their fingers dirty, and very prissy. I do not think that they should be listed as any kind of house keeping service, because it seems to me that they want to do as little as they can, while charging as much as they can. There is no quality or value with this service. This should be more like an office cleaning service for someone who already has their office environment mostly clean. I received a reply from this business when I cancelled a cleaning that said CHI CHI, when I looked it up, it is a derogatory way of replying to something, in other words he wanted to demean me. TL;DR - David's house cleaning gets the job done right, even if they miss it the first time around. I contacted David for a move in cleaning for my apartment. The cleaning was done with care, but it wasn't clean enough to justify the price premium upfront compared to other maid services in the area. I called David and let him know, and he understood my concern, immediately scheduling me in his busy calendar for a follow up service. However, in a blunder on my part, I missed the appointment, and David still rescheduled me again for the week after, since this week was too packed. His diligent, respectful, and responsible attitude towards his business and customers, the fact that he is focused on getting the job done well, earns him 5 stars in my regard. I will update this review to see if the apartment was cleaned well next week when the maids come. read more

DON'T HIRE UNLESS YOU CAN PAY A LOT! Wish I could recommend them. They do great work for a basic cleaning, but are seriously overpriced. I've never paid so much. We even cover the cost of all of their supplies. But we liked them and they were on time so we used them for over a year. Then, I needed to cancel for 2-3 months over the holidays and vacations. They had the nerve to ask for an additional $150 on top of their overpriced $235+$40 tip. Greedy! and during the holidays too. I couldn't believe it. I always tip way more (25%!) for the extra work, but the owner wanted a bigger piece of the pie and lost my business for good. I'm sure the cleaners never see any of the extra money. I was apprehensive at first to see if they did everything given the fact our home is a bit bigger I was afraid of what the outcome would be. The money was definitely worth every penny and might I add the pricing is very affordable vs. competitors out there!
