I have been a regular customer of this establishment for quite some time. My family and I order here at least once every two weeks, and normally both the food and service are good. Unfortunately, my experience today was bad enough that I'm seriously questioning whether I will return. My order number was **#57**, and I spent approximately **$50 on two entrées**. Today, I was picking up food for my family and some elderly neighbors. I called ahead to place a takeout order because my elderly neighbors like to hear me place their order and get the total so they know exactly how much cash to send with me. I was left waiting on the phone for **22 minutes without anyone answering**. Eventually, I decided to drive to the restaurant while keeping the call connected just to see how long it would take for someone to answer. When I arrived, I saw only two occupied tables and one takeout order waiting. I also counted roughly **10 employees behind the counter**. When I walked in, I was initially told to wait. Then, as **Shyanne** finally went to pick up the ringing phone, I told her, "That's me." I asked why I had been left waiting for 22 minutes just trying to place a takeout order. Rather than apologizing or even acknowledging the inconvenience, Shyanne responded extremely rudely: **"Don't you see we are busy? I haven't had time to pick up the phone."** That response was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. I wasn't looking for an argument. I was a regular customer asking a legitimate question after sitting on hold for 22 minutes. Instead of receiving basic customer service, I was met with attitude, excuses, and disrespect. What makes the situation even worse is that **I am writing this review while I am still standing here waiting for my food**. Since my interaction with Shyanne, I have repeatedly heard her complaining about having to answer phone calls and other responsibilities. At some point, this stops being about how busy the restaurant is and becomes an issue of attitude and customer service. Employees are being paid to perform a job, and answering customers--whether they are standing at the counter or calling to place an order--is part of that job. If the workload is genuinely too much for one person, then management should provide additional help. But customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience simply because they expect someone to answer the phone or provide basic service. If the stress of the position is causing someone to openly complain about having to serve customers and then speak disrespectfully to those customers, something needs to change--whether that means additional staffing, better training, or reconsidering whether this is the right position for that employee. When I asked whether a manager was available, Shyanne simply told me I would **"need to call back tomorrow."** There was no attempt to apologize, de-escalate the situation, or find someone who could address my concern. Even as I continue standing here, the phone keeps ringing, and whether it gets answered appears to be completely hit or miss. What makes this especially disappointing is that **we are regular customers**. We spend money here frequently, and I have generally had positive experiences in the past. I understand restaurants get busy. I understand employees get stressed. But neither of those things gives an employee the right to be rude or disrespectful to a customer. **Being busy is understandable. Being stressed is understandable. Treating customers like they are a burden for expecting you to do your job is not.** Shyanne's attitude has turned what should have been a routine $50 takeout order into an experience that makes me seriously question whether my family will continue patronizing this establishment. Management needs to address both how takeout calls are being handled and, more importantly, how customers are being spoken to. We have supported this restaurant regularly, but after today's experience, something would need to change before I would feel comfortable coming back. read more

We moved here full time in July from NJ . We were having a hard time finding decent pizza until we found Davila's on Oslo road in Vero. The crust on our meat lovers pie was thin enough without falling apart. It was baked perfectly. The meats were plentiful & the ham wasn't salty.( we tried same pie somewhere else & it was super salty) also had bacon, pepperoni, sausage, meatballs and the perfect amount of cheese. So good! I ordered online so when I picked up the service was super! The gal was friendly & polite. Then a gentleman came out & told me about their rewards program. Took about 45 mins for pick up. Order system wasn't accurate and that was explained to me on arrival so I showed up too early. Wasn't cooked very well (soggy and difficult to eat). The mushrooms looked like canned. Crust reminded me of Pizza Hut. Sadly, it's actually probably one of the worst pizzas I've ever gotten. I tossed 85% of it. While visiting the city, this restaurant, which is located near the hotel, was recommended. It is a sizeable eatery, but it wasn't clear if you had to seat yourself or order and then seat yourself. As someone from North Jersey, I take pizza very seriously. I was down in Vero visiting my parents over MLK Weekend a few weeks ago, and I went here twice over 4 days. Once, I ordered a pepperoni pizza, well done, size large, as it was for the 3 of us. The pizza was almost perfect. The only hiccup was the sauce was a little too acidic for my taste. When I came in there was no hostesses to greet us or seat us so we walked up to the counter to order to go. We ordered the fredy pizza and Greek salad so good, fresh and delicious. First my thanks to Jessica for making lunchtime very pleasant by being so gracious and warm. My hat is also off to the pizza artist who made me miss NY pizza just a little less. The slices I had one w/ meatball and 1 w/ sausage were perfect. Excellent crispy crust, good taste on the sauce and cheese, just so enjoyable. The space is very nice and upgraded from some of the usual pizza "joints". I was in the area on business so I don't know when I'll get back but look for forward to trying their specialties like the lasagna and ziti. I bet they're great. The restaurant is in a significant strip mall off US Hwy 1, Vero Beach. Its dining room appearance is comfortable and airy. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We started with a Greek salad to tune up for their sixteen inch round Hawaiian Pizza and Fredy's Pizza. The Hawaiian Pizza had a spicy bite but was delicious. I personally enjoyed Fredy's Pizza, which was made with Ricotta cheese, fresh basil, garlic, mozzarella, and spinach. We ordered pizza from here the other night. We ordered a medium cheese pizza, a medium gluten free pizza with pineapple & ham, and mozzarella sticks. Apparently the cheese & mozzarella sticks were really good. The gluten free great and I really couldn't tell it was gluten free, which is always a plus. My only complaint is the price. Great service from our server Isabella and I was so surprised when I ordered a personal pizza for the first time. Normally we share the 14 inch pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms but tonight my husband wanted Lasagna. I still wanted my pizza so I ordered a personal size pizza with all the toppings I like. Well I couldn't believe it when Isabella put it on the table. It was huge and so yummy. I didn't think I could eat it all but put a good dent in it! My husband loved his lasagna as well. I'll start off by saying that their online ordering needs some fixing if it's not going to be accurate. The online ordering was easy-ish, and seemed fairly flexible if a little bit unintuitive, but the real problem is the time indicated for pickup. After completing my order, it stated 30 minutes until pickup. When I arrived at that time, I had to stand outside for another 20 minutes. This is unacceptable. The pizza was received hot, and as ordered (accurate). Has a little bit of flop to it. I'd personally like to see it a little more firm, but not chewy. The outer portion had a decent crunch to it. The sauce is very good. A little greasy for my taste, but that could be due to the meat-side. Overall, a solid pizza but could be better with some tweaks (just in my opinion of course). The turnaround time needs fixing though so folks don't have to waste an hour of their day. This did affect my overall scoring. I had the Chicken and Spinach Lasagna and it lived up to the hype. Super flavorful, basking in a rich tomato sauce. It was a generous portion for the $16.00 price. My wife's Chicken Marsala was equally good and ranks in the top ten of Chicken Marsala dishes I've tried. All entrees come with choice of soup or salad as well as Garlic Knots. Davila's is located in the Publix shopping center in Vero Beach, right off US 1 (in the Harbor Point shopping center). I have family in Vero Beach and my partner and I were in quarantine and were staying really close to Davila's and decided to dine there after hearing great things about them from various family friends. My family of four ordered 20 wings (mild) for $21.95 and was a big portion and they were great quality and we loved the wings! We ordered a large build your own pizza with cheese, pepperoni, and meatball (for around $17). The pizza is also a plenty big portion for four to share and is a great quality as well. We dined there each time with takeout and service was very warm and friendly and took the food right to our car each time.
