I take pain meds daily and have tried to just get by as best as I can. Even with meds there is never a moment I am without pain. Well I visited Dr. Samir at Crossroads Chiropractic for the first time on June 15, 2020. He has such a pleasant and knowledgeable staff. I actually have never been able to handle what you night view as regular chiropractic manipulation so I go to those offices for myofacial release message therapy. I happened to visit Crossroads Chiropractic to try a special they were offering on their red light therapy and as part of the treatment they put me on a machine that vibrates your whole body. I really didn't understand all of the technicalities of it but it was a pleasant experience so I just went with it. From the very first visit I noticed a difference. Their is usually no minute of the day that I don't hurt all over. It isn't just my back that hurts it is an all over horrendous ache that never goes away. Well after I got off the machine I kind of expected to hurt because they had me walk on the machine while it vibrated my whole body but when I got off the machine I didn't hurt. The relief actually lasted for a couple of days and when I realized my pain level was down and that the only thing I had done different was go to Crossroads Choropractic I made another appointment. Dr Samir did a thorough review of my medical history and recommended a treatment plan. Because I have a lot is "artifacts" in my spine I can't undergo what you might view as regular chiropractic care but Dr. Samir has a range of treatment devices available and put together a plan to help me manage my pain. I had never been to a chiropractors office that had so many treatment options available. Well today was my fourth visit and I want to tell you how happy I am with the results. I would never have expected to experience this much relief so quickly. I finally have hope of being able to stop taking meds that didn't work anyway and being able to experience relief from the pain that has plagued my life for so long. I live nearly 30 minutes from Dr Samir's office but it's worth every mile. I highly recommend Crossroads Chiropractic to anyone who just wants relief from the pain. My husband, my 1 year old, and I are all patients and will never leave…read more Yes, it's true that they require xrays before adjusting you.. and thank goodness, because otherwise you could be seriously harmed by someone who doesn't know what the bones look like on the inside. My husbands elbow was bothering him so he told the doctors and they adjusted it! No more pain. He has planter fasciitis, so in addition to back, neck, and hip adjustments, they also adjust his feet at every visit and it helps! If he misses an appointment, his body lets him know. I had severe pelvic and hip pain during pregnancy. I started chiropractic care at 28 weeks and was able to function the rest of pregnancy. Additionally, I had an extremely fast (5 hours) labor which I attest to chiropractic adjustments helping my body and baby line up properly. I started taking my baby at 1 week old for slight torticollis and difficulty latching while breastfeeding. It helped soo much! Adjustments for babies are almost like massages some their bones are only cartilage at this early age. Chiropractic care in babies can help drain fluid from ear infections, help colicky babies, gassy babies, everything! We are full believers in Southside. I hate writing this review but I feel it needs to be written…read more First the positive. The office is nice and welcoming. The people are really nice! I was a new patient and they got me in same day. The Dr was very friendly and asked me how I prefer to be adjusted and what I don't like which was nice. Why am I giving 2 stars? The Dr was very nice but seemed rushed. We didn't really talk about my issues and I got a VERY basic adjustment. It took about 5 minutes then he put electrodes on my back and left the room to see the next patient. After a while he came back in, took them off then said I was good to go. Then off to see next patient. As a 'new patient' they charged me $75 when regular patients only pay $45. Because of that, as a new patient, I expected something more. There wasn't anything more than anyone else that came in. In my total of about 20 minutes being there (sitting in waiting room, adjustment and electrodes), he probably saw 5-7 patients. My regular chiro (and the one before him where I used to live), puts the electrodes on or does other treatments first to relax my muscles before adjusting, which makes more sense. And then he actually sits with me for a few minutes to discuss what is going on. He really listens. His adjustment is a lot more thorough. Then he asks me to get up and walk around to see how I feel. He measures my legs to make sure I'm even. He takes the time to make sure I'm good before I leave. When I'm done, I feel great.
